Fantastic experience: I have nothing but great things to say about MBO. I was initially nervous to seek orthodontics as an adult after having a really bad experience with my ortho as a child. However, MBO completely changed how I felt about the process. I started Invisalign treatment in 2022 with a consultation with Dr. Chiang. The consultation was thorough: they scanned my teeth, took photos, and the ortho examined everything. Two months after this I got my aligners and started the process, which lasted about three years, maybe a little less. Management and the team are wonderful, they are very accommodating with scheduling and any questions you have. I’ve had to cancel and reschedule many times due to work, and they were always understanding and accommodating. I also paid for my treatment with a payment plan that made sense for me, which was very helpful in making the process affordable. I also found that MBO had more reasonable pricing for treatment compared to other orthodontists I met with. I just finished treatment and funny enough, I feel sad that I won’t be visiting them every few months, which speaks volumes! However, I love my results and had an amazing experience here. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking orthodontic treatment.

Negative experience: I made a new appointment with a different doctor at this clinic just to ask about one missing tooth. A few hours before, they canceled, saying my case was “too complex.” Last time, I questioned a $9,000 treatment plan from another doctor here. Now even when I switch to a different provider, I’m refused care. No referral, no real explanation. This feels like retaliation — not professional healthcare.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my 2.5-year Invisalign treatment with MBO. I will give them a 5-star. They corrected the issues that my orthodontist at teenage years was not able to resolve. I had no gum recessions nor any side effects after the treatment. All the orthodontists at MBO are professional and patient. They cared for patient’s teeth health, aesthetics and personal preferences.

I've never had to wait to be seen, and making appointments was incredibly simple. I also was never up charged - I paid once for my entire 1 1/2 year Invisalign program and was never once asked to pay more. I had a large open bite and they were able to close it and make my teeth look beautiful. Just a really great, clean, caring facility. I really recommend.

Fantastic experience: I did my orthodontics treatment here using Invisalign. I think this is their specialty, and very happy with the result as my teeth are near perfect now in how they align and bite. I picked manhattan bridge orthodontics because: 1) they open on weekends, which was a huge plus for me; 2) the quoted price here was lower than what I was quoted at orthodontics office in Hoboken; and 3) the doctors here published research articles on Invisalign, which convinced me that they are experienced with this type of orthodontics treatment.

I was debating whether to go with traditional braces or Invisalign and she carefully assessed my case with pros and cons for decision making. She has been amazing throughout the process! The staff here are super friendly too. Highly recommended! Update April 2025: just finished my treatment and I have to say it again I really recommend Dr. Zhu!! She's super professional, patient, and incredibly sweet. She goes above and beyond to perfect every detail, even extending the treatment timeline to accommodate my wedding. The staffs are also always very nice!!

Negative experience: This place is unprofessional. I had a highly disappointing experience at Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics. After my first visit, the office requested a clearance letter from my dentist confirming I was eligible for orthodontic treatment. I got the letter promptly from my dentist and emailed it to them, but I never received any acknowledgment or follow-up. I reached out multiple times. They never valued customer's time and just wanted to reschedule another appointment and charge more consultation fee $50 each time. Weeks went by, and I still hadn’t received a treatment plan at all. Overall, Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics showed poor efficiency in scheduling, a lack of timeliness in their replies, and no clear process for communicating treatment plans.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at MBO for five years. It has been wonderful. The staffs are always so kind and patient, and they truly care about their patients. My teeth have never looked better than this before.

I also recently found out that I needed to move out of the country very soon, and they were able to handle it very well (I now have my braces off and am very happy with the results). Negative experience: I initially had a great first impression of Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics. Dr. Kimberly Bui was extremely well-mannered, professional, and made me feel comfortable. She explained everything well, and I was excited to move forward with treatment. However, once I had questions regarding payment options and treatment differences, my experience with the management team went downhill. I originally reached out weeks before my appointment to ask about payment flexibility—specifically whether I could make deposits toward the $3,000 down payment before starting treatment. I received no response. However, once I booked an appointment to discuss aligner options (Invisalign vs. Angel Aligners) and financing, they suddenly responded—but instead of answering my questions, they canceled my appointment without even speaking to me. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, I received a cold, impersonal email from the management team stating that my financial agreement could not be changed (even though I never asked for modifications, just clarification). It felt like they had already flagged me as a financial risk without even speaking to me. When I finally spoke with their assistant manager, she was polite and professional, but it was clear that their decision had already been made before the conversation even happened. It felt like corporate damage control rather than an actual effort to help a potential patient. To make things worse, after canceling my appointment without my input, they later emailed me saying I could reschedule—but now with a $50 consultation fee. This was incredibly frustrating since I had already been ignored for weeks and then dismissed unfairly. Key Issues with MBO: ❌ Dr. Kimberly Bui was great, but the management team made the process frustrating ❌ Ignored my initial inquiries for weeks ❌ Canceled my appointment without discussing it with me ❌ Assumed I was a financial risk instead of actually communicating ❌ Prioritized policies over patient care ❌ Only responded once I booked an appointment, but then refused to see me ❌ Tried to charge me $50 to reschedule after canceling me unfairly This place operates like a bureaucratic business, not a patient-centered medical office. If you’re looking for an orthodontist who listens and communicates well, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. I have since found a different provider who actually respects patients, answers questions, and doesn’t assume the worst before even speaking to them. Dr. Kimberly Bui was wonderful, but the way the management team handled this situation left me deeply disappointed.

Negative experience: Updated Review: I think it's only fair I give an honest review since I'm not fully satisfied. Upon my last day of completion I was told to let 1-2 years for it to "settle" into place which has now been that time frame. When I first started I was with a different doctor the first year. I recall 4-6 months in the right side of my teeth started losing its bite and I mentioned that to the dr and she started adjusting my trays to move the right side of my teeth inwards towards my tongue. Few trays in now I can feel that my right side has shifted very inwards and leaving my left side more curved out. So to say that u-curved shape of my teeth has been distorted (still not bite contact). Eventually as I switched over to Dr. Chang since he was a sub one day and I did feel more comfortable with him but I think by this time it was too late to reverse and start over so he just proceeded through to completion. I wake up every morning noticing this uneveness when I take out my retainers, smile in photos, meetings, and it bothers me as a customer.. I went back recently for a follow up on this matter but was told it could be tricky to do refinements because it would be alot of work and would be very expensive, and that maybe it's just time to accept and move on. I do feel because there was a mistake I should of been offered a free correction. I guess there is nothing I can do but "accept" the matter. Previous Review: The best orthodontists in NYC! I came here to get Invisalign with Dr. Chang and I’m extremely satisfied with the attention to detail and care. I left feeling confident with my teeth and recommended my sister to come here as well. It took longer than I expected but that is most likely due to the perfection I wanted. Overall I recommend this place for Invisalign procedures. Office is also super clean!

Negative experience: When I got braces a while ago I noticed that my middle top and bottom row were not really aligned. I assumed this would get fixed later but it didn't even with retainers. I got told that since I am growing my jaw is shifting which is why and they offered to put holes in my retainers and use rubber bands to fix it. This did not do ANYTHING and actually ended up warping my retainers. I had actually noticed that my front middle teeth shifted extremely fast after braces. I asked if I should actually continue 24 hours of wear even after the recommend 3 months and was told that I was fine. Clearly not because I had to endure 5 minutes of pain every night trying to force my teeth into my retainer. It got worse after my retainer started warping from the rubber bands. It escalated to 10 minutes and I could not sleep well everyday especially since I am a student. Much later during a regular dentist visit, I informed them about the pain since I found out I had gingivitis. They told me that I shouldn't have any pain putting the retainers on and that I needed to get braces again. I gave up wearing them after that and this is the only part that I acknowledge was my fault but my teeth are now back to the pre-braces state. I do regret this but it doesn't change the fact that my mom basically wasted $4k when my teeth are this bad.

Fantastic experience: I finished my teeth 2 months ago and owe Dr. Bui and her great team a 5-Star review! I had crossed bites, crooked teeth and asymmetrical jaw (which required jaw surgery if I needed the so called perfect smile”). I went to another orthodontist before and she refused to help me without the jaw surgery! I told her I only needed tidy teeth and no need to fix my jaw! Fortunately Dr. Bui took me under her wing and helped me achieve my “perfect smile”! She really tailored to her customer’s needs eg when I told her I didn’t want a straight fixed retainer; she listened and helped me custom a W-shape fixed retainer! Even it took 3 years to complete my treatment, I’m still amazed at my new smile every morning and I finally don’t need to hide my teeth when I smile!! Also shoutout to everyone in the office from front desk to dental assistants, you guys all made me feel welcomed and at ease! I have no issues recommending everyone to do their treatments here!

I went a very conservative approach to correct the issues caused by previous dental experiences and they were totally on board even though it took many years to complete. There was also a dental assistant by the name of Rachel I highly recommend as well as their bedside manner is UNMATCHED. I had previously undergone orthodontics elsewhere and was quite unhappy, but I’m glad I eventually come to MBO. The office in Flushing is not only beautiful but also provides a pleasant and comfortable environment for patients. I highly recommend this place!

Negative experience: I received a recommendation from a friend who was undergoing orthodontic treatment at this clinic. Initially, I had some reservations when I saw the numerous 5-star reviews on Google, but I chose to trust my friend's judgment, even though she had to relocate and continue her treatment elsewhere. My experience was with Dr. Bui, and for the most part, the treatment went smoothly until the later stages. I'm providing a 1-star rating due to the following issues: After nearly two years of treatment, it felt as though the doctor was in a hurry to complete my treatment, despite some remaining minor issues, such as wider gaps between certain teeth. I was assured that the retainer would address these problems, but it didn't. Two months of wearing the retainer didn't resolve the issues as promised. When I contacted the clinic, they scheduled an in-person visit. A new retainer was created, which took four weeks. However, after just one day of wearing the new retainer, I experienced discomfort in my gum area and noticed the gap between my upper front teeth widening. I reported the issue promptly and visited the office again, where the doctor attempted to fix the pinching issue by polishing the retainer. Once again, I was told that the retainer would eventually resolve the gap issue, and I was instructed to wear it for at least two weeks. As expected, the gap between my upper front teeth worsened after two weeks. I contacted the clinic, and they scheduled another in-person visit. This time, they provided a small set of new aligners instead of a retainer. I was asked to pick up the new set of three aligners after four weeks. When I tried them on, they felt extremely tight, tighter than any previous aligners I had worn. The nurse and doctor assured me that this tightness was normal and that I just needed some time to adapt. Reluctantly, I decided to trust the doctor once again. Unfortunately, the aligners gave me a headache after a few hours, and I was unable to put them back in after taking them off for lunch. I reported the problem to the clinic once more, and they scheduled yet another in-person visit. During this visit, the nurse examined the aligners and mentioned the possibility of additional charges for further treatment. I was taken aback by this threat, as I believed the issue was due to their treatment. The doctor eventually intervened and agreed to waive the additional charges. After four weeks, they provided me with six new aligners and retainers, but not without emphasizing that my treatment had concluded and any further retainer check visits would incur a cost. I have now been wearing the retainer (following the six sets of aligners) for two months. While there has been some improvement, there are still gaps between my two upper front teeth, as well as another area with a wide gap. I am unsure whether to contact the clinic once more to address these lingering issues. I acknowledge that orthodontic treatments can encounter various challenges, and I don't hold the doctor entirely responsible for these issues. However, what disappoints me is that the clinic failed to acknowledge the doctor's responsibility for the problems and declined to offer additional complimentary adjustments for my overall treatment, even though there are remaining issues that need to be addressed.

Positive experience: Dr. Zhu was very nice and patient with my daughter getting her underbite fix. After the treatment my daughter can smile with confidence and not to have to bite herself as much when she is eating. Dr. Zhu has a low and friendly tone and smiling even my daughter doesn’t always listen. My daughter still comes here for revisit and later on for braces. The staff here are nice and mainly the place is clean. I wish I have an orthodontist like Dr. Zhu who would take me on as a customer but I pass that age. Customers get rewarded with coins to play the crane machine. The prizes are consist of the latest plushies. Kids and adults love it. Don’t wait any longer to get your child’s teeth looking healthy and smile beautifully. I highly recommend Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics located in Chinatown that still offer delicious food after seeing the orthodontist.

My, well, our story started almost 20 years ago, when we were trying to find a solution for my son’s sever underbite. Fantastic experience: I have been receiving Invisalign treatment from Dr. Jenny Zhu and the experience has been AMAZING. She is not only an amazing orthodontist (love the results!!) but also just a kind kind person. I had my wedding a few weeks ago, and Dr. Zhu went out of her way to remove all of my teeth attachments so that I can have my teeth whitened for the wedding (she will be binding them back after the wedding). Thank you so so much Dr.Zhu!!

Fantastic experience: Wow, it has been 2 and a half years more or less for my son coming to Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics. Today marked the last day of his journey. Removal of the braces and retainer onwards. We surely enjoyed our experiences with this wonderful Orthodontics place. All of the orthodontists and staff are very professional, knowledgeable and caring. We see that his overbites are being corrected. We certainly very grateful for the result we see. Fantastic experience: Finally finished my Invisalign treatment at MBO and I am so happy with the results. It’s been almost 2 years of treatment but I am really satisfied with how my teeth look now. Everyone at the office is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. They encouraged me to speak up if I was not satisfied with anything during the treatment and they were more than willing to accommodate my requests. The office is extremely clean and they have all the newest technology (nothing like the orthodontist I went to as a child). Overall I would highly recommend MBO for your orthodontic treatment. I’m so happy I made the leap and decided to pursue treatment for the second time in my life - I’ll definitely wear my retainers this time.

Positive experience: Personally, I will give this dentist a 4.5 star. 4.5 star is made out of a nice and clean environment to stay at. They also have put on soft music to make the customer relax if they’re scared of the dentist. Not only that, they also have interesting programs for people to participate in. Their attitude for serving are very professional and nice. The only reason that I didn’t give a 5-star is that there will always have an improvement in everything.

Fantastic experience: **LATE REVIEW (Sorry!)** Wow! I had such a great experience at Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics!  I was on YouTube one night and came across a video, I watched it, and was "sold!" Everything about it made me want to call and schedule an appointment immediately! After going to other orthodontists that weren't a right fit for me, I decided to call Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics.   Upon arrival, the waiting area is colorful and inviting.  Karen was welcoming, checked me in, and I only waited a few minutes before I was called for the first part of the consultation.  Once I was in the examination room, I was informed to rinse my mouth with mouthwash.  Salma asked me a few general questions before she began to take photos of my teeth.  After all the photos were taken, I then met with Dr. Zhu.  She was patient, had excellent "bedside manner", and explained the best braces and the length of time it would take me to have them on. The last part of my consultation was to review the financials.  I met with Karen again and she went over the different types of plans. Overall, my experience was beyond excellent and extremely thorough.  The office and rooms were modern and squeaky clean. From beginning to end, my visit was more than I had expected and I felt comfortable being there. From Karen, Salma, and Dr. Zhu, they each took the time to explain each process.  They were all excellent and I could tell they are caring with their patients. I was pleased with the customer service and I had a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Amazing office and cleaning environment. The office is very clean, the staff is very patient. The kids always look forward to their appointments.

Positive experience: The whole process took 16 months. At first I regretted it after getting those attachments on my teeth, but MBO supported me and helped me through it (polishing them off so they were less sand-papery). Overall, happy with the service and treatment. Sometimes long wait times due to be overbooked though.

Fantastic experience: MBO staff are amazing, very receptive to patients needs, and friendly. I had an Invisalign treatment and when personal circumstances made it hard to wear my aligners, they graciously redesigned my treatment to make sure I was still on track to have straight teeth.
