Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed – Poor Communication and Lack of Patient-Centered Care I had a very upsetting experience with this dental office. They recommended a treatment plan that, after doing further research and getting a second opinion, I learned was not aligned with standard of care practices. Worse, they did not offer any alternative options, nor did they take the time to ensure I fully understood what was being recommended or why. When I realized the treatment may not be appropriate for my situation, I reached out multiple times asking them to cancel the treatment plan. Despite my repeated efforts and clear communication, they were completely inflexible, stating that the lab order had already been sent out and therefore the payment was non-refundable, even though the agreement I signed did not state that. This kind of rigid, dismissive approach shows a total lack of regard for the patient’s voice and circumstances. No real attempt was made to work with me or to acknowledge my concerns. I felt pushed into a decision I didn’t fully understand and then trapped by it. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for transparent, ethical, and patient-focused care. Make sure you get a second opinion and everything in writing before proceeding with any treatment here.

Fantastic experience: Welcoming and friendly environment with knowledgeable and efficient staff. Dr. Ellinger is fantastic and Tring (sp?) gave me the gentlest cleaning ever. My one complaint is that the first available appointment for my next/6 month cleaning is not until February- 9 months away!! This seems like an extraordinarily long wait and is not allowing me to make full use of my insurance benefit. This is disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Today I just had a check up and teeth cleaning. I also did a $99 teeth whitening. Very pleased with everything and Sara was my dental hygienist. She is the absolute best.!!! Dr. Bogan is normally my dentist, (who is very professional and conscientious of his work but he was in a meeting so Dr. Hall came to my room to check everything and he was very professional just as I would expect from this dentist office.

Positive experience: Poor customer experience. No relationship building. Different hygienist, different dentist each visit. Heavy spam on SMS, email with reminders, confirmations, fill out forms, pushing services, etc. Scheduling 9 months between visits.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my surprise regarding the fee of $108 associated with rescheduling the same appointment for the third time. My initial appointment was scheduled four months ago; however, I had to reschedule it due to a work conflict. Today, upon attempting to reschedule once more, I was informed that I would incur this significant fee. Given my five years as a loyal patient, this charge feels disproportionate, particularly as I have consistently chosen to reschedule rather than cancel my appointments. This situation has led me to seeking services from another dental provider. Additionally, I agree with the previous reviewer who highlighted concerns about the team’s management of insurance timelines, as I have also encountered instances where I paid for X-rays that were performed prematurely.

I have awful anxiety around dental work and the dentists take so much care and time to explain each part of the procedure. I can’t imagine going anywhere else, I’m only sad that I didn’t find them sooner!

Fantastic experience: I had a one day crown with Dr Ellinger. It was the best experience! She is so sweet and great at what she does! The entire appointment was only 2 hours and 15 minutes. She explained everything and was so cognizant of my comfort level at all times. The crown was made in the office and fit perfectly. No second appointment needed. I would highly recommend Dr Ellinger and her wonderful staff!!

Fantastic experience: Our family has been going to North Orange Dentistry for the past several years. Entire staff is always very friendly and happy to answer any questions we may have.

Negative experience: After a few years of going to this dentistry, we quit and strongly recommend people to avoid this dentistry. They have a poor management of insurance and do not look out for the customer. They constantly do procedures, scans, and cleaning timelines that do not follow my insurance. I had the same insurance for 7 years before coming to this dentist and NEVER had a bill. But after a few years of coming here, we had so many bills. The icing on the cake, was they REFUSED my payment of my wife's bill because of HIPAA. THEY ARE A DENTIST.... Not even a real doctor and abused HIPAA so my wife's bill could collect interest. I tried to pay another time over the phone AND THEY REFUSED AGAIN. When it went to collections, I informed the collection agency on their scams to avoid payment and they will be investigating. Terrible business model. If you want to spend for cleanings, unnecessary fillings, useless scans, then come to this place!! We have Delta Dental and is a highly rated insurance package and they abused it and us. STAY AWAY!!!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first appointment and it went so well. The cleaning was quick and efficient. I follow the same dentist from childhood until early and my adult life and that Dennis when he retired said I had no cavities. When I went to another franchise They said I had 15 cavities lol I could tell they were just in it for money. When I went to North Orange today, I was curious to see if they would say I had any cavities And I have zero cavities which really provided me reassurance that they weren’t just looking for another dollar. My young kids have an appointment in March and I feel very confident and safe taking them After my appointment today! Also, my teeth look and feel 100x better! The one year when my insurance changed and I had to switch dentists to be in-network, I was so disappointed with another practices processes. Fantastic experience: This is our family dentist. My 12 year old just needed 2 baby teeth pulled. She received excellent care and had ZERO tears, even through the numbing shots and complex removal. Great "chairside" manner by the dental assistant who held her hand through most of the procedure and calmed her nerves. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Fantastic experience: Sunny, cheery, clean comfortable lobby (love the coffee!) pleasant desk staff. I've never had to wait long...Sara, my hygienist, was fun, efficient, friendly. The docs don't ever keep me waiting and never appear to be in a hurry--always willing to answer any question. Love this place.

Appointment started on time with very little wait time between x-rays, exam and cleaning. Very knowledgeable and experienced staff. From front desk to technicians to hygienists to dentists, all very nice and took care to explain as they went along. As close to being a pleasure as going to the dentist can be.

Fantastic experience: Today I saw Dr. Hall today as I normally see and love Dr.Ellinger. Dr. Hall was so kind as I came in for a last minute dental emergency. He was so patient and explained everything throughout the whole appointment. I couldn’t recommend this office enough. I’m so sad that I can no longer be a regular patient as Aetna is no longer in contract, because the level of comfort I feel at this office is unmatched. A wonderful place for anyone especially someone like me who doesn’t enjoy going to the dentist.

Negative experience: I have been coming here for at least 8 years and have always loved it. However, they seem to have outgrown themselves and cannot accommodate their current clients to get them in for 6 month check ups. They are scheduling 8-9 months out, and therefore it does not leave enough time in the year to get two visits in. You are compromising patient care by not being able to accommodate routine visits every 6 months as recommended.

Negative experience: My daughter went in for 2 fillings. Supposed to be 1.5 hrs. After a 2+ hour visit I talk to my daughter to find out that after the dentist removed the cavities the assistant was left to fill the hole and mold to bite by herself. Which took many attempts and more injections for pain tolerance. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I am terrible at scheduling appointments, but after a friendly reminder, the scheduling staff was able to get me in with the hygienist that I was requesting. Sara was great, very gentle and friendly as always. She had me in the chair and out the door in less than an hour. As a busy person I am extremely grateful to all the staff for their timeliness.

Fantastic experience: I’m going on a trip a week from today, and a tooth that has been bothering me just a bit is now quite “angry.” NOFD got me in with a dentist in an hour from my call. The dentist rearranged his schedule in order to treat the problem before I leave. Very kind, generous, and personal service was readily offered. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Fantastic experience: I had an initial oral exam followed by 2 extractions w/bonegrafts and a root canal. It's now been over 2 months since the final procedure . . so everything has healed great. I want to say that ALL my experiences with North Orange -- from front desk to the dental procedures --- has been FIRST CLASS. I need to give special kudos to Dr. Griffiths. I've had numerous oral surgeries, root canals and implants over my lifetime. Dr. Griffiths is -- hands down -- the best oral surgeon I've ever had. His patience, professionalism and especially his skill put me completely at ease in what proved to be a very challenging root canal. Dr. Brumley, too, at the initial exam was very effective and knowledgeable about explaining what needed to be done and very nicely finished off that final procedure. I would recommend North Orange Family Dentistry without reservation.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I left our old dental practice. Our oral surgeon's office highly recommended North Orange Family Dental. We both scheduled appointments, however before either of us had our 6 month cleaning and check up, I chipped a front tooth. The office got me in for consult that day, which was a Friday. They did not have the time to fix it that day due to a full schedule, however the dentist, Dr. Brumley, was willing to go in early (before the office actually opened) on Mon to take care of it. Each of the staff I dealt with are caring, professional, friendly and competent. I would HIGHLY recommend Orange Dental!!

Fantastic experience: The best dentist office! Everyone is so sweet. They really try and fit you in for an appointment, even when they’re busy there’s little to no wait. Dr. Bogan did a great job of explaining the process of Invisalign and what I should expect. Sarah is hilarious and is so gentle when doing a cleaning. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Negative experience: They used to be good. There are a lot of dentists to choose from in the area. I was a patient for years. I scheduled for tooth pain for an appointment 3 days out. They sent me a text and because I didn’t respond to the text with a “Y” to confirm the appointment until after 5pm on a Friday for an appointment I made for tooth pain just days before they canceled the appointment the day of the appointment! The appointment I called them just days before to set. I spoke to the unapologetic office manager that spoke office policy to me rather than offer an apology or attempting to resolve the issue. She said “statistics show if you don’t respond to the text then you won’t show up.” Dr Hall was cool when I voiced my concerns to him at the office. Wouldn’t recommend though. They used to operate as a family dentistry when I first started there years ago however they have changed gears and seem to be more comfortable with policy than people.

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Dr Bogen’s for over 10 years now and made numerous referrals of friends and family to this dentist. Unfortunately my recent experience with this dentist has been truly terrible. My son had a filling filled a little over a year ago and on recent examination showed to have fallen out. Dr Bogan refused to honor this work or even give a discount on the cavity being refilled or $200 laughing gas I paid to alleviate my son’s anxiety with the procedure. They have made several day of cancellations this year but insisted on charging my family $50 fee when showing up late for an appointment. Greed has taken over this practice and this doctor.

Positive experience: Let me start by saying that the cleaning itself was fantastic. Sarah, my hygienist, was thorough and aggressive (in a good way!). It was one of the best cleanings I’ve had in a while. My family of 6 recently migrated to North Orange after some billing issues at our long-time loved old dentist. This is our second appointment at North Orange and both actual appointment experiences have been efficient and well-executed, however I struggle to want to remain with them after learning today that they are booking 8 MONTHS OUT!! As a mother, trying to teach her young children about dental hygiene and getting them on a routine cleaning schedule, this is really frustrating for me. I had a couple conversations both with the hygienist and the receptionist checking me out, and learned they have a consistent shortage of hygienists. I understand this, but they should not be taking on new patients if they cannot keep up with demand. I am disappointed because I felt like we landed somewhere convenient and trustworthy, but this overbooking and understaffing just will not do. Be warned if you are trying to book out as a current patient or joining as a new one!

Negative experience: this is one of the worst Dentistry in Lewis Center, OH. I want to rate them in NEGAITVE. Today 6/20 we had an appointment for cleaning and they denied to provide service because we had a past balance of 50$ for a missed appointment. On Tuesday 6/18 we called and confirmed our appointment and today (6/20) when we went to the office, the people were shouting and yelling on us that they cannot do todays appointment and also cannot reschedule the appointment. We called them last week to confirm the appointment, and spoke to that rep about waiving off $50 as one time exception because we were not able to attend due to an emergency! That rep told that she will get back to us and there was no update later and on Tuesday 6/18 they confirmed our appointment. We have referred many of our friends to this Dentistry and we are going to tell them to stop going here. I am surprised on how could they shout/yell on us even though we spoke very politely in office. So today my appointment was not taken care and I have to take half day off from my work. So will Dentistry take care of paying my half day work? REALLY INSANE!!!

Fantastic experience: Today a crown was placed on a molar. The excellence and proficiency of Dr. Bogan and his assistant facilitated the two plus hour process. The up-to-date use of technology combined with Dr.. Bogan’s expertise resulted in a crown that fit perfectly with first placement.

Dr. Hill went above and beyond in trying to help my 98-year-old Dad with his denture issues. We could not have asked for a better first-time visit experience !!! Fantastic experience: The office staff, the assistants, the hygienists and the docs are all so wonderful!! Pun intended, I always leave here with a smile on my face. Even today when I was in excruciating pain from a tooth that needed a root canal. Not only did Austin handle all the phone calls and scheduling while I was Being examined, but he had all the paperwork ready to review with me and made sure that the specialist whom I needed to see was in-network with my insurance. They also called me after the procedure to check on me. I had a great experience at the Endodontics office too! The doc had a great sense of humor and the staff were all super friendly! You guys, I cannot recommend North Orange Family Dentistry enough. They truly are a top-notch team!

Fantastic experience: I love the fact that when you have an appointment, they schedule enough time to do their work and make you feel comfortable, not like some places that make you feel you're cattle going through the shoot, just as fast as they can. Negative experience: Our family of 5 have been loyal patients for nearly 10 years. We have always been patient with their last minute appointment changes, long wait times, and poor customer service, but after getting charged $75 for one missed cleaning over a 10 year period we will never return. I would never recommend this office, even if it is convenient for families.

Negative experience: They had awesome customer service and great work done. The billing was a nightmare between them blaming the insurance company then vice versa. They sent the wrong type of crown to insurance then insurance gave them the price and they did the work then after the fact, 2 weeks later I get billed for another $100 bc they submitted the paperwork incorrectly. On top of that the lady who does billing said I should read the codes and understand what’s covered better and was so rude and nasty and just wanted my payment information and couldn’t care less.

Negative experience: Customer until today unfortunately. After 10-ish years of being flexible with rescheduling appointments due to their conflicts, dealing with appointments that don't start on time because they are running behind, appointments taking longer than expected because there is no Dentist available, calling multiple times to speak with anyone (at times resulting to physically stopping in), they refuse to wave a $75 cancellation fee. I woke up and got kids ready for school and just completely forgot about the appointment because I am human like everyone else. Front desk called and told me that I would have to pay a $75 fee for the missed appointment. When I asked if they could remove it and I apologized, she told me NO because the Dentists need the money they missed out on not filling the chair from my appointment. This is the first time anyone in my family has ever been late, had to reschedule or missed an appointment. There are a dozen other Dentist offices in the Lewis Center area all doing the same thing. Nothing special here just convenient to our routine. Experience is likely identical if not better elsewhere. EDIT: The response is vague and contains no substance to the reason we left. It just deflects from the fact that this place lacks empathy and customer loyalty. As a customer we remained patient for you but it was not given in return. When my appointments didn't start on time, ran over or when they needed to be rescheduled the day of, I did not send you a bill for my time.

Fantastic experience: This is a way overdue review. I cannot say enough good things about North Orange Family Dentistry and Dr. Hall. 1) The practice has state of the art equipment 2) the waiting room is comfortable and up to date with electronic access 3) employees are fantastic and friendly 4) Dr. Hall is the best!!! He changed his schedule or stayed late to take care of my needs multiple times. He knew I was leaving town and managed to get me in before I left to finalize my implant. I was so grateful to not have to deal with a missing tooth while on vacation. He walked me through the whole process in detail multiple times to reassure me it was going well and what each step would be. I know I peppered him with questions and he was always kind and patient with me. If you are looking for a new dentist, give North Orange and Dr. Hall a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I got a crown today from Dr Bogan and it was a fabulous experience. One visit. No temporary. They made the permanent crown while I waited. No icky gooey stuff to form the crown. All new up to date technology and it was a perfect fit. I highly recommend North Orange Family Dentistry for all your dental needs. They are the best!!!!

Fantastic experience: My experience at North Orange Family Dentistry was great. Natalie did a very thorough job of cleaning my teeth. I did not have to wait any extra time in the waiting room. Once Natalie was finished with working on my teeth, Dr Brumley was in the room in a timely manner to check my teeth and x-rays. Thanks!

Positive experience: The overall cleaning was great. The tech was gental, conversational and got the job done. The only downside (different than usual) was they did not offer to schedule my next 6 month appointment and I wasn't given my goody bag (toothbrush, toothpaste and floss).

Fantastic experience: 2/9/24 On Friday February 9, I had a 6 month teeth cleaning and exam at North Orange Family Dentistry. I always request Dr. Ellinger to examine my teeth as I know she genuinely cares about the health of my teeth, gums and mouth and always gives me a very thorough assessment. She is so very pleasant to have a conversation with and always explains what is going to take place with any procedure she does. I feel very comfortable in her care. She is an excellent Dentist. Assistant Melanie did the X Rays and explained to me what all she was doing. I felt very comfortable during the procedure. She was very pleasant to converse with. Hygienist Codie cleaned my teeth and was very gentle with my gums and teeth during the procedure. I believe I received a very thorough cleaning. She was also very pleasant to converse with. Overall, an excellent experience a North Orange Family Dentistry! 7/28/23 Had my six month cleaning and checkup today with Dental Tech Ilia and Dr. Ellinger. Ilia explained what each procedure was for on my teeth and gums. She is very personable and joy to converse with. Dr Ellinger examined my teeth and gums and gave me a thumbs up on the outcome. Dr. Ellinger is always a pleasure to interface with. Today she answered all my questions and concerns quite to my satisfaction. Today was another EXCELLENT experience at North Orange Family Dentistry. Thanks to you both and the office staff. 3/2823 Had another excellent experience with Dr. Ellinger and her assistant Taylor, installing a crown over a broken tooth. Fantastic experience: I had the best experience possible at a dentist! I had googled, read reviews, debated, trying to narrow down the best choice for a new dentist in the area. I'm so happy with my choice. I got a same day crown made/put on with no pain at all. I was shocked! I wasn't sore afterward & the fit was perfect. I would recommend this office to anyone. Fantastic experience: Happy they worked out the kinks with their new scheduling system. While it was frustrating having to wait a few extra months to be seen for my 6 month cleaning, it was worth the wait. The staff are always friendly, patient, & welcoming. I liked the new water process that was used for my dental cleaning today, and my hygienist was fabulous!
