Positive experience: I love My Dental we have been coming here since my Girls both were younger and my oldest is almost 18 but her as well as her 9yr old Sister love My Dental they’ve never been happier to go to the Dentist or Orthodontist until we started coming to My Dental. All of the original cast we started out with aren’t here anymore but the ones who have taken over are just as kind hearted, Sweet as ever and they have great manners. The young lady that helped my daughter today was GREAT that’s coming from both my daughters and I. She made my daughter feel so comfortable as well as she talked with her she sat there, Had a real conversation with my daughter so that was definitely a big plus. I highly recommend

Negative experience: I wasn’t going to write this review but I’m pretty angry. I came in for a routing 6 month cleaning and they told me I had to get x-rays. I told the tech I’m 7 months pregnant and don’t feel comfortable exposing myself or my unborn child to the radiation even if it is a low to negligible amount of radiation. They said that they wouldn’t do a cleaning without x-ray. I contacted multiple other dentist and also consulted the American dental association to see if this was true. I had x rays from my last visit 6 months ago that they could have used and they chose not too. It seems to me that billing me higher was more important than their patient safety. It’s really sad that my dental would take the risk of harming an unborn child just for some extra cash but that’s the world we live in now I guess. I would not recommend them especially if you are pregnant

Negative experience: My experience with this dental office was a nightmare and the worst medical experience of my life. I recommend every person stay far away from this dentist. My first visit for a dental cleaning was pleasant; the hygienists and front desk reps were kind, and I was seen quickly. I was told to return to have some old fillings replaced. This was the end of my positive experience. My next appointment was at 2pm and I waited 20 minutes after my appointment time in the lobby for insurance processing. The treatment will cost $412. Once the dentist starts working on my teeth, she lets me know that I will need a root canal. However, before they can start the root canal, their treatment coordinator must come in and get my consent, talk to me about payments, etc. This coordinator doesn’t come for 20 minutes, and the doctor has stopped the procedure while we wait. When the coordinator comes, she informs me that I will have to pay an extra $540. I agree because the dentist has told me that a root canal is necessary. The coordinator does not mention any other payments that I will owe for this procedure or how many appointments this will take to complete. After I give consent to move forward, the doctor leaves the room for another 20 minutes. She doesn't give a reason for this. At this point, it is 5pm (I got here before 2pm) and I have been in this chair having my teeth worked on for 3 hours. I am in extreme pain, my mouth is dry from not being able to close it during the procedure, the numbing shots have worn off, and my teeth are drilled in half as I wait for the dentist to return. When the dentist finally comes back to continue the procedure, I could feel the tools and drills in my teeth. This was extremely uncomfortable. I let the dentist know and had to be re-injected with numbing agent. She also badly burned my lip with a hot metal tool (while I was numb) and she could not even finish the root canal on this day because the office closed at 6pm. She gives me a temporary filling and does not tell me when I will return to have this temporary filling replaced with a permanent crown. I was likely the last patient in the building that day and was there from 2-6pm. I was in so much pain and in such distress that I cried my entire drive home. The next morning, the temporary filling falls out while I am home and my root is exposed. I call the office to inform them I’m not happy with the service and am still in a lot of pain, so I need to come back in to have my crown implanted. They tell me they can get me in next week. To not be surprised by any unexpected charges, I ask if I will have to make any additional payment. I was quoted an additional $1,300, due at my next appointment. The treatment coordinator did NOT mention this before I consented to a root canal, and if I had known this, I would have sought out a second opinion with a different dentist. The coordinator also would not have mentioned any extra payment when I called to make this appointment, so it would have been a shock to me to realize at my next appointment I’d need to pay over $1,000 more. For my next appointment, I wait in the lobby for 40 minutes after my check-in time. When I finally get in the chair, they inform me that I am getting a permanent filling instead of a crown as they do not have the mold for my crown done yet. I will need to come back again. When I return a week later, they inform me that I will only be getting a TEMPORARY crown and will need to COME BACK in a week or so to get my permanent crown. At this point, I’ve been coming to this dentist once a week for a month and am there for hours at a time. On top of my horrific experience, the dentist was very rude and unfriendly throughout and now my crown is slightly crooked and misshaped compared to the rest of my teeth. It's been a year since my procedure, and I hope they’ve improved their standard of care since then. However, I would never step foot in this place again and have warned all my friends, family, and coworkers to do the same.

Luis was very detailed during my cleaning. He was informative, neat, and walked me through the process step by step. This was unexpectedly helpful and calming for me, knowing what I should expect next. Jess was also very communicative and polite. She ensured I was ok with each X-ray picture, which is so kind during the awkward process. Overall a truly enjoyable visit. Kudos to MyDental on hiring great staff!

Fantastic experience: I recently stopped going to the my dental located in Elgin due to poor service and started coming here and I love it! Today I had a cleaning done and Jasmine and Luis were very nice and not rushing the process at all. I also really like Dr.Tarek, he’s very informative. Love this location!

Negative experience: Even after requesting multiple times to put a permanent cementation on my crown they did temporary cementation,which lasted for 2 days. all this because I didn't get crown from them

Negative experience: They double booked for my time slot so couldn't see me even though they sent forms the day before and check in link 10 and 2 minutes before my appointment time. I had decent experiences with them before this issue. I've been going here for a couple years. Not good enough to go back after the mix up. I'll find a new denist. I'm typically using PTO for my appointments. I'd like to avoid these type of issues.
