Fantastic experience: Everrytime my husband or myself go to McNeely & Mallette it is a great experience. Today they went over and beyond. My temporary veneer came off the night before, I called and left a message around 7pm. They called me at 8:30 am Thursday morning got me in at 9am. Dr Sonoga and his assistant Melanie took excellent care of me. They had me out before 10am. I was extremely please with their work and the quality customer service they provide. We love this dentistry and all the staff. Thanks again Dr. Sonoma and Melanie. I will be smiling and showing off you'll excellent work during this Labor Day weekend. Tanya.

Negative experience: We’ve always had good experiences with McNeely family dentistry but this last visit was not. My husband was told “you will rot your kids teeth out” when spoken too about being more regular with flossing, also said in front of the child who already struggled with dental anxiety. As a nurse, I can think of many ways to emphasize the importance of flossing, without shaming the parents who are doing the best they can. Shame is never how you get a patient to trust you, or to return for care. In fact, it accomplishes the opposite. We will be looking for a new practice to take our children to, hopefully with a doctor who can treat us and our children with respect. There is also plaque left on my child’s teeth post cleaning. I will admit there was a lot going on begin with, but I can hardly tell a difference after the cleaning. She was treated by a hygienist in training, which means the trained hygienist and dentist should’ve noticed this. Again, we will be looking for a new practice.

I used to see a different dentist there and really really enjoyed him. But Dr. Sanoga has been very thorough and good at his job too! I had issues with coming to the dentist as far as anxiety and trusting. But ever since I was referred here from a friend, my entire experience and teeth journey has changed. I was dealing with extreme pain from a loose filling that was exposing the nerve, so I was quite nervous. When I arrived, I met the hygienist, Jackie, who was amazing. She was particularly cautious around that problematic tooth but still did an excellent job with the cleaning. I felt so relieved afterward! Jackie also provided me with helpful literature that would assist with my gum health and sensitivity. Additionally, I was able to get an appointment the very next day to have my filling replaced. I highly recommend McNeely & Mallette Family Dental Group.

Positive experience: I’m a new patient, they insisted I have an exam before they could do a cleaning. They took X-rays and had a dentist look me over but didn’t have a tech available to finish the exam. When I went to check out they were more interested in scheduling cavities & crown work than the cleaning. Update: after leaving the review I was contacted and told they were waiting on medication information from my heart doctor before making my cleaning. It has been two weeks and they have not contacted me also I have not heard from the oral surgeon on the root canal. This service isn’t working.

Fantastic experience: The front desk staff are very knowledgeable & can have a pretty informative conversation regarding coordinating benefits though they aren't officially the benefits coordinator. This is very important! Dr. Sonoga has some of the best & most compassionate dental manners. He did a post on a tooth that a root canal was done in. The post was needed because a lot of the tooth was pretty much gone. He explained everything step by step, before, during & after. His assistant, an Asian female is so attentive & proficient. She paid close attention to ensuring no water ran down my face, wiped things away. She is a rockstar. This was my first visit & there were no financial or treatment surprises. They proposed treatment, presented the cost & asked if I wanted to proceed. This office also accepts primary & secondary insurance. I am very grateful I found them. Update: I got my permanent crown put on by Dr. Sonoga & I am beyond pleased. His level of knowledge & professionalism is top notch. He explained what he was doing & why. Then I had a cleaning & comprehensive exam. The lady who did the cleaning was impeccable. Beat cleaning I've ever had. She was very informative explaining as she went in detail. Highly recommend this place. Very happy I found them.
