Positive experience: I normally don't write review but this is the 2nd time we have a bad experience with one of the assistance. I've been taking both of my parents here and didn't have anything to complain, so far the front desk girls, the dentists and also most of the assistants were very nice. My problem was with the older small lady, first time, my mom came to an appointment unaware that the procedure wasnt cover by insurance, we asked why and if her filling is covered because if it is cover, we will do it the same day. She went and check, came back explaining to us and also cancel the appointment w.o letting us know if her filling is covered. At our second appointment, the dentist couldn't open the chart, so they didn't know exactly where my mom's temporary crown is. We said it was in the bottom left, but she was adamant that it was on the right side. The dentist was trying to pull my mom permanent crown to find out that it wasn't the one. He did find it later on but they almost PULL THE WRONG CROWN. She took us to x-ray and later changed to a much nicer assistant. What upset was her attitude. She was treating us like we don't know anything, and was just acting like she is right without checking on us. Now we made a 3rd appointment for filling, which could easily be done on the 1st appointment if she communicated with us before canceling everything.

Fantastic experience: Eaileen did an amazing job removing my braces.

Fantastic experience: I give five stars because of the small block like apparatus that the surgeon put in my mouth to hold it open. That was the greatest help. I’ve been feeling any pressure to try to force my mouth open for a long period of time. Excellent job upcoming up with that idea.

Fantastic experience: the wait is a little longer.but the service is great.so its worth the wait

Negative experience: The staff members are all rude, with the exception of the front desk lady and Ortho. There is no good communication at all between staff. The facility is dirty and dusty for a doctor's office. The restrooms are filthy, trash all over.

Positive experience: I gave Western Dental 3 stars because their service, employees, etc. is beyond exceptional; but PLEASE don't let Western Dental owe you a refund because you will be waiting forever; I've been waiting on a $64 refund from Western Dental since May and it is now August; every time I call the billing department, I'm on hold for 30 minutes; then, when they finally decide to answer my call, their answer to me is "the refund is still being processed"; I've made several calls and several complaints with no luck; their service is exceptional but their billing department is the WORST!!

Negative experience: The first few visits I was so excited about how nice the staff was. As far as scheduling not so nice. I've had to reschedule three times because it doesn't seem like the office staff and/corporate do not communicate. I still give it a thumbs up but you really need to work on your scheduling and make sure that you recheck to see that the patient has everything and that the doctor/surgeon knows what's going on as well.

Negative experience: My appointment was at 11am, I waited for 2 hours to be seen and left because I had other things to take care of rather than waste more of my time. What’s the point of having an appointment if you have to wait over 2 hours? Never coming here again, staff was incompetent and gave misinformation. I came in, I asked, since it’s my first time do I need to fill out paperwork, the receptionist said “no, I’ll call you up in a bit”, I went up an hour after waiting and she handed me the paperwork. I gave her my ID, she scanned it, I returned the paperwork, the original receptionist must’ve gone on break so I am giving my documents to someone else. He says he can’t find my original ID photocopy and needs it again, after all this he says “great, now you’re in out system” what? I ask how much longer, he says another 15-25 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous and frustrating watching everyone else come in after me, be seen and leave and I sit around wasting time I can’t get back. Do not come here, avoid this place!

Negative experience: Had a disappointing experience at the front desk. The woman helping me was rude and dismissive in person, and didn’t try to find a solution to an issue that wasn’t even on my end. Very unprofessional. Not surprised others have expressed concerns with front office

Negative experience: Dealing with Western Dental in Moreno Valley in person and the corporate office over the phone has been a complete nightmare. I am suffering with injuries inflicted by Western Dental during what should have been a very simple procedure. They were beyond RUDE (laughing at my situation on one call, screaming at me, arguing with me and hanging up in my face. I called repeatedly for nearly two hours without any answer until I called the corporate phone and that’s when the super rudeness popped off). I don’t know if it’s because of my income or what but evidently WESTERN DENTAL NEEDS SOME SERIOUS WORKSHOPS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT PATIENTS. I am very happy Western Dental decided to show me their real face before I let them further ravage mine. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!

Negative experience: If I could give them no stars I would. My first time with them and they told me what I needed done which was braces. Sent me to the orthodontist and as soon as they approved of it, im guessing its the selling lady YVONNE who attended me and explained the payment process, so I told her I would rather wait until I get my fillings done and she said that they would communicate with the dentist and that they would still be able to do my braces. she then follows with saying (supposedly joking) "okay now give me your money" I ask her about the care-credit which she didn't seem too happy to hear and says "oh yes I was going to mention that"... sure, but I go through with getting my braces anyways only because I really need them, I go home and with realization, they didnt give me any of the proper care stuff I needed FOR my braces, no wax, no floss, nothing but the fluoride and toothbrush. I come back for my filling to tell them they forgot to give me the care package for my braces and I go to sit back down, I'm looking over at the receptionist I told as she tells the same selling lady who "helped me" and I see she makes a sour face, she then goes and gets my stuff to give to me. Im preparing to get my fillings and they tell me I need to take my wires out first... they then ask me "did you get your braces done here?" I JUST got them a couple days before this, Weren't you guys supposed to "communicate" about it? Im so unhappy with them! Unprofessional! And they do not communicate properly at all. They didn't even tell me when my next appointment was just because they need to see if my insurance covers properly, they also mention I have an infection but don't prescribe me anything for it or try to take care of it before giving me braces. Mind you I am Type 1 Diabetic as I DID tell them so this can be dangerous. They are the DENTIST they should be recommending whats best for you especially because you are paying them to do so. I don't know if it's because I'm younger and they think they can take advantage but it is so unfair and unethical.

Fantastic experience: Love the ortho department! Specially Jesus he is the absolute BEST!!!! They treat you like family the moment you walk in. Any questions and concerns will be answered appropriately. Everyone in the office always has a smile and a great attitude, I can't recommend the Orthodontist department enough!!! Thank You Jesus

Negative experience: Don’t come here you have to wait for hours before getting seen my appt at 230 didn’t get seen until after 430 I’m going to look for another dentist cause what the point of have an appointment if you have to sit here hours later

Negative experience: Poor communication in the front office. They are extremely busy and the clients pay the price. Disorganized front office.They lost my history. Its most likely in another clients chart. Miscommunication with extraction and sedation. They scheduled me for appointment. Then I find out when I get there that they can't do complex extractions, however during the consultation the dentist said we can do it. She said don't worry.

Negative experience: This dentist is dirty , long wait times. Lack of communication between everyone. The receptionists didn’t even bother to let me know ahead of time that my doctor didn’t show up that day for my procedure. The doctors and assistants gossip while doing your dental work which is unprofessional. They lack communication with their patients and do a mediocre job because they try to rush too much. And One of the girls who does X rays had a nasty attitude for no reason. Overall bad experiences.

Fantastic experience: I was in Moreno Valley office for a consultation for braces and Ivonne was amazing she walk me through on the financial side and she explain everything and made it simple to understand!

Negative experience: Loved the hygienist, she did amazing. The reason I gave two stars is because you make an appointment but still have to wait 15-25 minutes to be called back and I went in to fix two crowns right next to each other and stayed for almost 5 hours. The female dentist, was so negative and even made a negative comment about the way I smile when fitting a crown for me. The dental assistant left cement in my mouth for 15 minutes longer than expected and couldn’t get the cement off my gums. Which is currently still there until my next appointment. Just very unorganized & not customer centered. They care more about the money than the care they provide.

Negative experience: I really don’t understand how this place could have 4+ stars Probably friends and family ratings or paid ratings?! At the very most this place deserves 2 stars On a good day. To start off , do yourself a favor and run from here If you don’t like to wait long periods of time (1+hrs)this place is not for you . Receptionists are useless and rude . Trying to get a basic prescription is impossible and highly annoying to get. Not to mention this place itself could use a deep cleaning disgusting rooms. I will not return here Ever again.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I waited for over an hour and a half after my appt time and then got in the chair and they tried to charge me $1400 for teeth cleaning without factoring in my insurance. I have no idea what happened and it was an obvious mistake as teeth cleaning are covered with my plan. I was then told it was be over $2000 for wisdom teeth removal. I’m so glad I did not go through with anything and called my insurance to see what was going on. I faxed them over the price list I was given and a case number was made and everything. Never coming back here. Extremely unprofessional.

Negative experience: Dentist started deep clean on wrong side with an infection. I asked and she said she forgot to read my profile before jumping in. I need antibiotics and this is the 2nd time they forgot to order my prescription. Never have I lost all trust in a dental office with just a visit. If you come to this dental office be prepared to hold their hands as they try to figure it out. Waste of time and money at the expense of my health.

Negative experience: The hygienists were great but the dentist not so much. The first time i came for a cleaning the dentist was nice enough. The dentist who worked on me this time for my fillings however was pretty rude. She first kicked my boyfriend out of the room and when i asked why she said “The manager said, do you wanna speak to the manager???” I said no because that’s pretty dramatic when i just asked why and she just said “well it wasn’t me!” I wasn’t accusing her?? As for the work she did, she drilled into my gums pretty bad, i’ve never bled when i had to get a filling before but this time all i tasted was blood and there was blood all over my bib. She also had to redo my filling and all she said was “It’s not good, I have to redo it” and I had to have the hygienist come and actually explain why because the dentist couldn’t take two seconds to explain. Last one is a lot more specific but worth mentioning; I have lip piercings which I understand can get in the way, but no other dentist has ever had trouble or even mentioned them being in the way ever. She was pressing them into my lip obviously hurting and when i tapped her hand all she said was “You’re okay!” until the hygienist had to tell her she was in my piercing. I was supposed to come back to consult about my wisdom teeth but definitely will not unless it’s with the other dentist. Of course I didn’t get her name because she didn’t take a second to introduce herself before destroying my gums.

Positive experience: My appointment was @ 11am they told me to be their 30 min before I was their 10 main before I waited an hr to be called as I watched how everyone that was coming in were being called ahead of me. I don't understand why give an appointment if your not going to be called on time. I got up and asked the receptionist she was very rude didn't even answer my question.

Negative experience: The waiting period was horrible. I scheduled an appointment for a regular maintenance. My appointment was at 1pm, I didn’t walk out of there until after 3pm. The only work that was done, was the cleaning, which was a rushed job to me. The staff remained professional which is always a plus for me. They definitely need to add more X-ray techs also. That was part of the delay.

Negative experience: Who cares about the lost appointment and time I wasted. THEY TOOK ME BACK TO DO XRAYS.I ASKED FOR A PAPER TOWEL TO PUT MY RETAINER IN WHILE WE DID XRAYS. THERE WAS A BUG, A LIVING BREATHING BUG IN THE PAPER TOWEL SHE HANDED ME. I got out of there the next chance I got. DISGUSTING!

Negative experience: I waited 2 hours for a teeth cleaning and supposed to be exam too but that never happened. They actually wanted to just polish my teeth without cleaning them until I mentioned it. Never going back.

Negative experience: Horrible experience, I went on the 17th and they made me come back on the 18th (January, 2025), we sat in the parking lot for 2 hours THEN the oral surgeon yelled at me and told me he could not take out my 4-1, saying he doesn't have the tools. But I spoke to him the day before and he told me that he could do it AND had the tools, (neodent) after this the receptionist was writing an address for me to go to when he came out of the office and ripped up the paper saying "She thinks we wasted her time" which THEY DID. I think it is horrible to yell at someone who is in pain, and he did just that, please do not go here, do not give him business, and no, I do not remember his name, but I'm pretty sure you would know by the rude demeanor.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Salem made my visit at Western Dental very pleasant and was great at answering all my questions! He was so patient and very kind to take his time and be thorough. He definitely made me feel less anxious and even helped me get my next appointment scheduled! Thank you Dr. Salem for being awesome!!

Negative experience: I had the worst customer service. Wait times terrible even when you come early to your appointment. Receptionist have no answer for you. If you’re in pain and have an emergency don’t go here because they can’t help. The receptionist wrote my prescription on a piece of scratch paper instead of entering it into the computer to be processed. The provider didn’t even tell me what he was prescribing me seen me for about 15 secs. I had to ask the receptionist what I was going to give me and she said “PROBABLY” how you unsure about medications?

Negative experience: Horrible place. We had to wait 4 hours in the lobby and we had an appointment. There is only 4 chairs in the lobby and you have no choice but to set on the floor. I would not recommend this place at all to anyone.

Negative experience: Worse customer service at hemlock office in Moreno Valley. I had my appt at 11am got there 10:50 by 12:45pm they couldn’t say how much longer for the wait. Receptionist very rude and can only offer to cancel the appt or offered to keep waiting.

Fantastic experience: Big nice facility, new clean equipment, super smart and friendly staff. Really nice people. Great doctor. Glad I found them. Thank you

Fantastic experience: It been great experience here the service at the Orthodontist has nothing but pleasant the staff has been super nice especially Christina she was very professional !

Negative experience: They’re money hungry. Found another dental office for same procedure and insurance covers 100%. Also they wait for your (treatment) appointment date for the financial break down. That should be done before your appointment.

Fantastic experience: Rebecca is such a great hygienist! she’s gentle and great at her job. So very relatable and funny. She’s one of the main reasons I keep coming to this location to get my teeth cleaned /deep cleaned! The rest of the staff was friendly and the office was super clean!

Fantastic experience: Had my braces done here, great work and great service. The staff is all very polite and go above and beyond for patients. I would definitely recommend you get your braces here! Shoutout to Ivonne and Dr James for getting my teeth right.

Positive experience: Had a good visit staff was wonderful wait to see the Dr was a bit long but the rest was good

Fantastic experience: The oral surgeon did an amazing job pulling out my wisdom teeth. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was terrified to go through with the extractions and they made me feel very comfortable.

Negative experience: I don’t know what’s worse the Saturday purple scrub receptionist who can’t be professional, the dentists here who can’t communicate till the day of procedure or the officer manager name “karen” that comes in after a year that was told by the receptionist when I called and ask if I can speak to someone if this place can be rated a 0 it Would be! :)

Negative experience: I made an appointment last week for X-RAYS just X-RAYS needed images to take to a surgeon. Appointment was at 9:30am I got here at 9:15am. It is 11:33am. 11:33am and I have not even been called back yet. I can understand a little bit of a wait time. But 2 hours??? For flipping x-rays! This is ridiculous!!! I guess they don’t really care about appointments. also staff…. No need to respond to this. No need to apologize, or give me some speech about; how you’re sorry this happened… I will NEVER come back and I will NEVER refer people here. First clue should have been when I called the 800 number and they hung up on me mid sentence.

Negative experience: I wish I could give zero stars, this place is the lowest of the lowest when it come to dental care, anything above a cleaning is an hour wait. Messed up my appointments several times, rude staff, under qualified dentist who watch TikTok while they wait for you to numb. I can go on and on.

Fantastic experience: I checked in 20 minutes before my appointment. They call me 20 minutes ahead of time. It is a great job. I’m very satisfied and very humble. Explained me the whole procedure and for me to take precautions after work. Great job.

Negative experience: I went there 4 times in the past month for two exams (one for me amd one for my son) and two procedures. 3 of the 4 times I experienced longer than usual wait times in comparison to other offices i visited. Most alarming was that the office looked old and dingy and some of the patient rooms were not clean. I literally refused a procedure because of the dirty patient room and some of the tools looked old and dingy. This is the first time I've ever done that at a dental office! Staff and drs were nice but I'm very big on sanitation and cleanliness of facilities. Also, it was taking way too long for certain procedures to even get approval (in fact, my insurance company said they never received any procedure requests from the office and its been over a month since the staff supposedly sent it!) Your experience may be different but I will be looking for another dental office.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist that did my deep cleaning was amazing, calmed my nerves and anxiety- talked me through the procedure and was almost painless. I would recommend her 1,000%!!

Negative experience: If you're experiencing an emergency and are in pain, don't expect to find any help or compassion at the Moreno Valley location. I called in at My lunch hour as I was in so much pain i couldn't even eat, and made it clear to the representative I had an emergency and needed an extraction the same day. I even left work early as I was assured by the rep I'd be seen by the surgeon, and that there was one available on site for same day services. Upon arrival I was checked in and an x-ray done, then was told I was supposedly "only booked for an exam" despite my calling earlier to book AN EMERGENCY and had so much swelling and obvious severe pain. I wasn't even properly examined, someone just peeked into my mouth and told me, 'yeah you have gum disease, we can fit you in after the 15th.' Mind you my face is swollen, i can't eat, drink or even speak properly!!! I begged even for an after hours recommendation to which they answered they were 'closing', and sent some medication to my local pharmacy. I was legit shooed away like an afterthought in unbearable pain because 'they were closing'.....Unbelievable....i called their answering service after hours to possibly try find another one of their locations that DID have a surgeon available, only to find out they supposedly refused to 'share information between offices' and would still put me through another shoddy 'exam' and 'refer me out'....To make matters even more disturbing, the answering service told me the Moreno Valley location showed OPEN APPOINTMENTS with the surgeon the next day...sooo who was lying? It sounds to me like these offices are focused on pocketing the money from medi-cal exams at whatever cost, even lying to a patient desperate and in pain just to get the person in the chair...I ended up calling Bright Now Dental who actually treated me like a human, were super informative and compassionate...and got me in 1st thing in the morning as an emergency. BRIGHT NOW DENTAL got that infected tooth out within 1 hr of arrival. If you want to be treated with empathy and like a human, DO NOT GO TO WESTERN DENTAL MORENO VALLEY!!!!

Fantastic experience: The staff members were very gentle with me, because I was so scared to have my root canal. I didn't have any pain during the procedure other than the needle used to numb my mouth.

Fantastic experience: Cassandra is perform her work very well, she provided attentive and friendly service . I was so pleased with her. All staff is excellent. Overall I am extremely happy with the service I received here

Negative experience: AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE. This place has gone drastically downhill. This office has a history of suggesting unnecessary procedures. They wanted me to get a deep clean due to bone loss and my insurance kept denying it saying there was no bone loss visible. I went to another dental office which explained to me I had no signs of bone loss. I even got a third opinion from a dental hygienist who said again no bone loss present and did my cleaning. Avoid at all costs or make sure to get a second opinion. The young caring dentists that used to work here that received my previous 5 stars are long gone.

Fantastic experience: I am extremely nervous in the dental chair. I literally have panic attacks. I was on my 3rd visit today for continued dental work. I have to say that I have never felt as comfortable as I did today. I have to thank the dentist and the assistants for being gentle while working on me.. they have done so well to have allowed me to conquer my fears. Thank you Western Dental!

Fantastic experience: My experience was great I mean it was a bit of a wait , but everybody was friendly. Valeria was the best she was so sweet and kind she gave me reassurance on everything that I needed , and answered all my questions !!! make sure yall ask for her when yall come here , and my doctor was handsome lol , but besides that book with them you’ll be alright.

Negative experience: I've been coming to this office since I was in elementary school even after moving an hour away For the past month, I've had to visit this office a few times. I needed my wisdom teeth removed, I came in and did the whole process they set a date WITH THE WRONG SURGEON I got to the office the day of my appointment and they showed me my X-rays saying that the surgeon they scheduled me with was the incorrect one. I was upset because they had the X-rays this whole time they could've called and said this so I didn't have to make a trip to look at something they already had just to tell me he couldn't do the job. I come to the next appointment with the correct surgeon they tell me about some $600 piece I need in my bottom row I let them know I don't have it and don't want to get the credit they have everyone's attitude changed so the surgeon says we're just going to do the left side today because I don't want it to get infected I already had my top right removed and it healed AMAZING so after I finished I asked about the other side of my mouth and she said they'll schedule you in the front, I go get an appointment I call Saturday to change the time because I forgot I had a meeting with my kids teacher the person on the other line says we don't have you scheduled I said well I have the card and they say well did you want to keep that time I changed the time easily, I call Monday morning to make sure the same problem is not happening I say I'm calling to make sure I'm scheduled with the right surgeon because I know they do different work, they say we wouldn't schedule you if it was with the wrong surgeon I get there today i see the X-ray papers in his hand and know exactly what he is about to say, and i let him know the conversation i had the previous day and he apologized and the one scheduling my appointment says why cant he do it on top of them thinking they wouldn't schedule me with the wrong surgeon, they say do you want me to confirm your appointment and I say yes to go along with the shenanigans of them playing in my face this office is a joke hope I find a new one ✌

Fantastic experience: When I have a dentist appointment I always get very apprehensive upset stomach nervous headache and scared. Today I had a root canal which typically I would make me nervous the whole time during the procedure. Dr. Santos and Julie, the assistant made the procedure I won't say painless but pleasant. They put me at ease. They talked back and forth and to me they engaged conversation with me to get my mind off the work that was being done. I was told it would take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour for the root canal. If it took 30 minutes I would be surprised. It was really quick. I was done. They checked x-rays to confirm the procedure was done. Everything was good to go and I had no apprehensive no upset stomach I was fine.

Fantastic experience: Fast and friendly Staff... Great Doctor's. Like there positive attitude!!! My daughter had a dentist appointment today and we went in and out, quickly.

Negative experience: ZERO STARS! Very rude receptionist, we arrived on time for our appointment but we waited 2 hours after we arrived and when I checked with her when we will be seen she said 45 minutes more, they book too many people at same time and make you wait so they can make more money from your time. That’s very shady business, I suggest not worth it to spend 4 hours waiting for regular cleaning.

Negative experience: Today, for the 3rd time this month I had a root canal appointment for my daughter with doctor Zael ( the only doctor that does the root canals) This is the third time being there for the same reason. The Doctor decided to cancel the appointment because he was too busy. I called and spoke to a super nice secretary and he was put on the phone and I told him my point of view about having an appointment and getting turned away for the third time. Reason for cancellation Doctor is too busy and that’s every time we go in. It’s a waste of time for me as a patient. He was trying to yell at me. I am not a kid, and refuse to keep my mouth shut to actions like this. I love the staff at this location, all the secretaries are super nice. And one of the secretaries tells me after the argument back and forth with the doctor that he refuses to do services on my daughter. I obviously, will place a complaint with corporate because he is incompetent and needs to learn how to treat his patients and value them accordingly. We go to the dentist for a service not to waste their time or our time as well. I can understand frustration but that’s not the way to handle business specially after 3 cancelled appointments. I hope that upper management does something to resolve this issue. I do appreciate the secretaries, they are all very understanding and tried to accommodate my child with a specialist that comes once a month delaying her procedure until the end of the month of April. My child had appointments, scheduled with weeks in advance because she had more than one root canal that needs to be worked on. Now, Doctor is refusing service to my child, after I told him what’s on my mind and is referring me, like I told him he should have referred me since then and not waste my time. I hope that the manager Karen reads this review and checks the history on my situation and sees my frustration. An apology from that Doctor would be nice but unlikely to happen but his behavior is unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasure. 5th visit. Deep cleaning, etc..staff very professional and friendly. My dental hygienist was awesome. I hope she gets a raise!

Fantastic experience: The doctors are wonderful they take time to explain what's going on Ii didn't feel any pain at all the doctor had magic hand .I loved every one the staff are great .be going back next week for the rest of my work.

Fantastic experience: I went to the Moreno valley branch and I got Kim A. I really enjoyed my experience with her she took her time to make sure she wasn't hurting me and she was very friendly and I felt comfortable asking questions I really wish every time I went there she was there This next visit I had olley she was wonderful very gentle

Fantastic experience: To be honest I had a rather good experience he was talkative and we had a conversation if u have Omar treating you I feel like you would have a good time

Negative experience: If I could zero stars I would...My husband went to this Western Dental in Feb 2023 to get a crown, ended up paying like $4,000 even though we have insurance. Mind you I called the office to give the girl who answered our insurance information. She took down the information but never put it in his file. He gets his crown and the did a botched job!! Crown fell out the next week and then they attempted to fix it...now he went to another dentist and now he is infected because they did a horrible job! On top of that they tried to charge him $750 for visits that he never scheduled or went to for that matter. The girls at the front desk are rude and I really think they want to scam you out of your money. I do not recommend this place, but if you do go....run away fast!! Negative experience: They made me wait a total 2 hours between checking me in and sitting in a room to give me an estimate. I feel everyone left to lunch and made me wait that long and they didnt do anything on me. Plus a blond guy exagerated on how my teeth were. I went to Mexico better customer service and affordable prices.

Negative experience: I’m in so much pain walked in for help to possibly get exam and antibiotics but they turnt me away. My head has. Fantastic experience: I went in today to get my braces process started. Love all the doctors and employees that work here very friendly and informative. Denise was super great she helped me out for most of the time, I have zero complaints.

Fantastic experience: I had a terrible toothache and called in they were able to see me same day. Ruben was beyond great. His customer service was great, did a great job at making my visit quick and simple, as well as do a great job at explaining payment options.Will be requesting that he takes care of me next time for sure.

Negative experience: Completly incompetent staff at this Western Dental. I came for an appointment as a "new patient" and I was informed by the staff that Cigna doesn't transfer new patients until the begining of the month. They should have mentioned this when I called them directly to schedule my appointment. Rather than being helpful they were quick to suggest rescheduling to come back three weeks later. Adding new patients at the begining of the month may be convenient for you Western Dental, but I do not have the liberty to schedule when my crown will detach and wait three weeks to be seen. I called Cigna and the associate advised they can push the paperwork same day if allowed by the dental office. I agreed and Cigna contacted the dental office and they advised me to return for my appointment. Why couldn't the incompetent staff call Cigna in the first place? They simply answer as if following a dialog prompt without any critical thinking. I came back to the office just to hear them advise me again to comeback at the begining of the month. I reassured them that Cigna called them directly and spoke with "Samantha" and I was told to return. The staff grudingly took my paperwork and had me wait another hour. I then inquired on an ETA and they advised the X-Ray Technician is on lunch so "maybe" another twenty minutes. She says this while the lobby is overflowing with patients without chairs to be seated. I simply asked to cancel the appointment. Please come to this Western Dental on 23185 Hemlock Ave if you don't value your time and want to be treated like they are doing you a favor by accepting your Dental Insurance. Side note: The staff also starts talking about a patient who came in with Medi-Cal and was inquiring on coverage just to be belittling to the patient.

Negative experience: This has happened multiple times of is magangmet of time with staff. If a appointment time is set, why should a patient have to wait 45 minutes to an hour and a half to be seen. The purpose of an appointment time is to me seen at that time. This office is notorious for this. There are way to many front desk staff, that are cackling gossiping. To many what seems to be managers hovering over then like vultures squawking out orders for the whole lobby to listen to. The office must employ more Dentists and dental assistants, as when I spoke to them in the past they are horrifically overwhelmed over worked and understaffed,hence the time delays. There are other issues of not informing patients when authorizations have been cleared to move forward with procedures. Overall if you can avoid this facility I would recommend it

Negative experience: This place is a sham. You will wait here for hours for a staff that starts its lunch right on your appointment. No exaggeration guys, you will wait 3 hours. I pray to god they didn’t charge medical for the services they did not provide my wife, otherwise I already made a complaint to the Department of Health Care Services, just so that they can understand that people’s health and well being is not a joke.

Fantastic experience: The majority of staff here is new from the last time I posted a review. Let me tell you, they are phenomenal! They communicate well with their patients and they are extremely professional and kind. Before, most of the front desk staff treated you like just another number and they acted like they didn't want to be there, nor did they want you there. Now, it's a completely different story. I appreciate the changes so much! It makes a HUGE difference in the experience. It feels so welcoming. And even when they have some extremely rude patients/customers, they keep a VERY professional demeanor. I really like what you guys did. Keep up the great work!!

Negative experience: The service at the general side is unbelievable, I was there today 4/25/23. And my husbands appt was canceled because he had an expired ID when I asked the lady on the phone 3x if it was okay and she said yes, we were waiting for an hour until someone told us at the office he could not be seen with out a valid ID. She was rude about it when I told her I spoke to someone on the phone.. she interrupted me half way and said oh you spoke to corporate “they don’t know anything” and did nothing to help the situation just shut me off. I should have known right at the beginning when just because I asked for paper work instead of scanning a code I got so much attitude back. But instead I went about my appointment waiting, not to mention in the process there was a situation where a lady went off at one of the receptionist and they talked about her for hrs called the cops and everything. I understand it wasn’t the way to act, but with the attitude they give it’s no wonder she did. They show you they don’t care about you with the attitude they treat you with like you’re worthless like they have a stick stuck some where they shouldn’t.. then want to be shook when they get some one who doesn’t care and will get crazy on you. There’s no way I’m going back in the office. But my best advice would be fix your attitude and maybe you’ll avoid problems like that in the future. Your customer service, the face of Western Dental, it’s a shame that’s how you represent your company.

Positive experience: The front desk staff is always friendly helpful and knowledgeable, although I can’t remember the young lady who assisted me towards the end she stood out the most out of all the assistance I received she was extremely helpful very Thorough and showed a high level of Professionalism she was a young blond haired woman I give her 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. She definitely has Leadership Quality’s.

Negative experience: I don’t even leave reviews, but the customer service, not from front desk, but the actual dentist was HORRIBLE.her name is Dr. Panchal.They try to push all these unnecessary things on you and when you don’t agree or comply they get upset. We didn’t want the night guard and the lady got upset and said if we don’t comply and agree to getting it she replied with “I’m not going to provide you service”. Later on we mentioned we had a family friend who is a dental assistant and said the night guard wasn’t necessary and she replied with “so why didn’t you go to her”.This was not the first time we’ve gotten attitude from this lady, she’s rude and unprofessional and honestly just a bitter lady.Take your service somewhere else, there’s hundreds of places around where they’ll care for you better or at least treat you decent.

Positive experience: The first time I went in for a fill in… it sucked. My male dentist didn’t even properly fill in my cavity. And he seemed to have drilled a whole in a perfectly healthy tooth. He also didn’t fill in a small cavity on my bottom tooth. Today, I went in. I had a female dentist. She was kind. She was patient with me. She even took out the fill in that the male dentist did, correctly filled in my tooth, and filled in my other cavity. I’m grateful.

Negative experience: First time patient. Had to wait at least 2 hours to be seen even though I scheduled an appointment. Went in for a cleaning, and basically a check up back in September. They did x rays and checked my gum. I asked if they could send a request for a deep cleaning, and they told me to call back in 3 weeks. When I called back, it turned out they never sent the request for the deep cleaning . To make it worse, They charged my insurance for a regular cleaning along with the X rays. The doctor NEVER CLEANED MY TEETH! The shadiest dental office I've been to. The 2 hour wait I understand, but the dishonesty is something else. I know 1 patient's business doesn't really matter or affect you guys, but I wont ever come back or recommend you to anyone.

Negative experience: Worst dental visit I’ve ever experienced. I never leave reviews but the way I was treated today was very unfair. My appt was scheduled for 2:30. I wasn’t seen till 3:45 then I still couldn’t get the work done that I was originally scheduled for. Because the denist wanted to take a lunch break so unprofessional. So I was only able to get my teeth polished. Then when I told her I’ll just find another dentist it was like music to her ears she helped me take off the the bib watched me leave without asking did I want to reschedule or anything. I’ve NEVER experienced nothing like this before. Me or my children WILL NOT COME BACK. Thanks for NOTHING !

Fantastic experience: They are all very friendly and nice. My experience has been very good with them I only have been there 3 times and my experience has been good. Today I had a issue with my medication they were prescribing me the pharmacy kept telling me they had not received my prescription from the dentist so I called Western Dental and they took care.of it right away. And I greatly appreciated that because I was in pain. I would recommend them to people and I have. The only thing is some times you may have to wait they run behind sometimes. But I think that happens everywhere now.

Negative experience: NEVER AGAIN! This place is the most unprofessional dentist office I’ve been too! They over book! You’ll spend more time waiting in the waiting room!! The dentist don’t explain the procedures to you they just start working on your mouth! They gave me a root canal with no crown ! I didn’t know anything about root canals, I didn’t know I’d need a crown afterwards. I don’t recommend this place for any of your dental work! If I could give this place zero stars I would!!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever, I took my 5 year old daughter in for an extraction,Due to the virus I was not allowed in the room, when she came out she started crying and wouldn’t answer me, I took her in the car and she calmed down so I asked her if they had been mean to her, she told me that they had told her that if she cried they would keep her there. I was enraged and went back in there asking for them to explain why they would tell a 5 year old something like that, the doctor had the audacity to say that’s just what we say for them to not cry. I was screaming like crazy to them that it doesn’t make it ok even if it’s not true their little kids and they will believe things like that. My mistake was letting her go in by herself. Parents please stay with your kids don’t make my same mistake

Fantastic experience: I am afraid of going to the dentist, so I haven't been in 10 years. Then my tooth started hurting. Fortunately I just needed a deep cleaning. The hygienist, Chakma, was sooo good. He calmed me down and worked very skillfully. Even when I needed a shot to numb my gums, I barely felt it. Now I will be more regular with my dental appointments. The office staff is nice too.

Positive experience: They were friendly, and quick. The only issue I had was they put me in automatic payments ,without asking me if I wanted automatic payments.It’s not a big deal, but they just didn’t give me an option, and said I can cancel auto pay anytime. Didn’t make since to me. I prefer just making the payments without payments automatically being drawn from my account.

Negative experience: This place doesn't even deserve a star, from the employees in the front. To the drs in the back seriously save the trip and check out another office. They treated me so poorly I called corporate and I'm leaving this review. Do yourself a favor and stay away! I was in excruciating pain on both occasions walking in. The woman who brought me to my room the first time was very nice. The second time she looked at me and said room 11 I had to come to myself realizing I was to walk myself to room 11 because that girl at the computer wasn't moving a muscle. My whole experience was terrible the Dr came in apparently the front girls had told her my complaints of pain and she immediately began with what can I help you with did not try to check out my teeth what was going on nope she wanted to talk I was so upset in so much pain she said give me a minute had some man come in my room and he immediately attacked me with what's going on with you huh? You have been saying bad words since you got here? First of all what gives you the right to come so forcefully to a patient what my problem is sir? You know what my problem is that's what I'm here for! Next time you want to attack a woman like that make sure her husband is in the same room!!! You wouldn't be so tough then!!!! Terrible terrible experience knowing how badly people are in pain you would think they had protocols not to come in and attack their patients. TURN AWAY!!! Gold Coast Dental down the street helped me in every way! I highly recommend!

Negative experience: I have been coming here for years and have all ways felt very welcome. I’m sorry to say that this is the first time I have gotten treated so poorly. I been having an issue with my gums that I have been going back constantly last year. Ryan has been the best at trying to figure out and fix the issue. Now just this month I made an appointment because the problem got worse and the ER just gave me pain meds. The day of my appointment a lady calls me to reschedule my appointment because the XRay machine was not working and that I needed to have X-rays done in order for them to see what can be the problem. I told her This can’t wait, I need to have the Dr see this and see if he can recommend something. So I still went to the office and asked them to have the Dr take a look. They insisted that Dr. couldn’t see me because of the fact that had not had X-rays since 2019. I told them that was incorrect, I had been taken X-rays three times last year because of the same issue with my gums. Then I asked to speak to the manager. Well the lady that was sitting there was the manager. She tells me the same thing. At this point I was very frustrated, you can only imagine how long this has been going on and then for them to not even consider having the Dr take a look. The manager kept talking over me, was so rude not letting me explain. At the end all she said if I wanted to be seen I would have to wait and reschedule. The manager has very poor ethics and no customer service skills what so ever.

Fantastic experience: The major factors during a dentist visit no matter the procedure is, feeling comfortable and not being afraid because of course this is your mouth and lastly getting in and getting out.The staff was absolutely amazing. Even the people who didn't work on my teeth were great. Very warm welcoming and off the bat made you feel comfortable. I love it here! I never sat in that lobby more then 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. I had to go back before my scheduled visit to get my temporary crown put back on but it was my fault (don't chew gum) with a temporary anything! Recommend this place to anybody. Worth the 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Sylvia has helped me get products on how to make my teeth whitening again which I was extremely excited about to hear. She was very respectful and helpful when it came down to any questions I may have had. The process of me getting seen was quick and easy, no complaints and in conclusion, I will be back here for sure :) thank you for your help and service’s! Happy Holidays
