Negative experience: This place has the worst doctor with the worst attitude ever and doesn't treat people good at all

Fantastic experience: The Best Dentist Ever! Dr. Elan Kaufman is absolutely amazing very professional and friendly with kids. He is not only kind and professional, but he has also worked wonders with my kids. They adore him, and he makes them feel comfortable Even my younger daughter , who used to be afraid of going to the dentist, now looks forward to seeing him. I must also recommend the receptionist for being incredibly responsible. Not only called to remind me of our appointment, but she also efficiently booked our next visit without any delays. The waiting time was minimal, which was a pleasant surprise. In my opinion, Dr. Kaufman is the best pediatric dentist in Brooklyn! I highly recommend him and his team for their exceptional care and service. Thank you so much for everything that you do for my kids

Negative experience: We had been loyal patients at this dental office for a long time, but unfortunately, a recent emergency completely changed our view. When we needed urgent help for our child, the office was unresponsive and unaccommodating. Despite our long-standing relationship with them, there was no effort to support us in a difficult situation. Doctors seemed rushed, dismissive, and didn’t take the time to explain anything clearly. It became painfully clear that their main concern is money, not patient care. We were treated with indifference and frustration, especially by the front desk staff, who were dismissive and rude throughout the process. We will not be returning and would caution other families to think twice before trusting this office with their children’s care.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are very understanding and welcoming, I had to reschedule my appointment a few times and on the day of I needed a later time then I scheduled for and they moved my slot with ease. Ekaterine, the dental assistant, was there with me during my procedure and let me tell you she was a joy to be around. A very easygoing and joyous woman. Will be returning to this office!

Negative experience: My first and last time in this office! I’m writing to express my disappointment with the experience we had during our recent visit. I scheduled an appointment specifically because my son was experiencing pain and had noticeable gum swelling. I clearly stated that he needed to be seen by a doctor. We arrived on time, but unfortunately, the front desk staff were not very welcoming. During the appointment, the technician who took the X-rays was not gentle or kind with my son, which made him feel uncomfortable. After that, his teeth were simply cleaned, and we were informed that the doctor was unavailable due to surgery. We were told to return the next day and were only given a prescription for antibiotics in the meantime. This was extremely frustrating, as the appointment was made with the expectation that he would be seen and treated by a doctor, especially given his symptoms. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements to ensure that future visits are more compassionate, timely, and professional. Thank you.

Negative experience: BIG FAILURE of this office! They did not give my daughter a "retainer" after palatal expansion treatment and her jaw returned to crossbite. She had good results with expansion but it did not stay without a retainer. Her new dentist was surprised that they did not give her any retainer! This treatment was worth $7000 with no results.

Positive experience: Terrible time management dont bother to be on time to your appointment you will always wait 15-30 minutes before being seen. If you miss or are late to an appointment they send a threatening text about paying a fee for punctuality. The front desk also randomly schedules you with what ever orthodontist they feel is fine instead of keeping your appointments with the same specialist. They also just randomly rebook your visits instead of confirming with you that the time and day they chose is okay. Lastly theres a bunch of chitter chatter at the front desk while patient's are waiting for long wait times. Dont bring your kids here there is too much traffic to execute good customer service. However, My orthodontist and hygienist are always nice .

Fantastic experience: I recently took my son to Friends and Family Dental, and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff members were exceptionally friendly, making my son feel comfortable and at ease, which is so important when visiting the dentist. The dentist took the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring that both my son and I understood the procedure for his chipped tooth. Their informative approach not only alleviated our concerns but also helped us feel confident in the care he would receive. Fantastic experience: The office is nice very kids friendly, staff was very helpful, the office looks like it gets pretty busy, I can’t complain each time we visit our experience has been good. Dr Alan explains everything and the assistant sorry I forgot your name but he was very helpful as well, my daughter was a bit nervous he made her feel comfortable soon after she was ok. We had a great experience and look forward to working with him again.

Negative experience: My son had his first dental appointment. He is 1,8 years old. We had an appointment at 5:30 pm. I came at 5:10. My son ,as any little kid in his age, not sitting in chair more than 5 min. He was playing in a hall. Then assistance call us for an x-ray, but my son start crying and we decide not to do it. Then I’ve been asked to wait little more in a hall. After a while, assistance call us again. We came to room and was waiting for doctor. But doctor didn’t show up. 10 minutes later my son ran to hall to play with toys. So I went out of the room to take him back. It took me maybe 1 min or two. But imagine my frustration, when I came back to the room with my son and assistant says that doctor already left because we weren’t in a room!!! I was out of the room 1-2 min !!!!!! It was already 6 pm!!! So me and my son came 20 min prior to our appointment time, we were waiting 40 min for doctor and doctor took another patient because I step out for a minute to take( !!! )1,8 years baby back to the room!!!! It’s a little baby, it’s not an adult that will sit in a chair!! There are no toys or working TV to entertain baby in a room ,so he can sit in a chair!!! I am not sure why my son get such an attitude from doctor. I used to work in NYC in many dental offices as assistant and receptionist, but I never seen such disrespectful behavior towards children!!!! And one more thing , those toys and chairs in hall are super dirty! I don’t know how they can treat kids and teach kids how to take care of hygiene of their mouth, if there is so much dirt on those toys and chairs in hall. Don’t go there and don’t waste your time, it’s a CONVEYOR!

Fantastic experience: Today experience, despite of the rainy day, was fast, good, easy, with friendly staff, with very friendly and understanding hygienist. My boy and I loved it! In the past, we had different experiences there. Mostly good, but tough sometimes. Today, we were very lucky. I think, it depends on staff, for 99.99%. The office is roomy, clean, in convinient area, people who works there bring their spirit, they make your day or opposite.. ))

Negative experience: My first and last time taking my 4-year-old son here. Some context he's nonverbal and needed to be sedated for four silver caps, which I wasn't notified will be silver until he was already under anesthesia which cost $1,300 at a pocket. One of the crowns has already fallen off exactly 4 weeks after being placed, again he's four and he doesn't chew gum or eat sticky snacks. Thank God he didn't choke. The actual treatment was very quick I was not allowed to sit with him while he was getting the work done I was called to be with him until he woke up from sedation but I was left alone as a patient and wasn't checked on for at least half an hour to the point where I just picked my child up brought him back to the front waiting room area woke him vigorously and left. As for the money my insurance allows me to be reimbursed for out-of-pocket cost but when I say that this office give me the runaround to simply fill out a one-page form for the reimbursement of the cost of anesthesia it would be laughable The paper I gave them on the day of the appointment couldn't be filled out by the time his treatment was done. Call the next day and the paper was lost Gave two more days and sent paper via PDF and the office manager wasn't in. Called again when the office manager was in and was told that I can't get reimbursed because they have an on-site anesthesiologist and he's the one who did the sedating They proceeded to try to convince me that the anesthesiologist works for himself? and not for their dental office but in New York state that is impossible, You have to be affiliated with a hospital system or have an LLC and a business front to carry out medicine. Eventually I did receive the paper filled out but my dental insurance just told me that it was filled out in correctly and I have to get it done again or I won't get the money. FYI a deeper Google search will show you that this office is known for quite a few unscrupulous business practices and could do a better job of treating children more kindly. I would not recommend

Negative experience: They were so Rude , and the establishment was unclean. During my kid’s dental cleaning, the practitioner’s performance was subpar. She rushed the procedure, shocking me. I would not recommend anybody going there.

Negative experience: We had an appointment with the Orthodontist. This Dr. Is magnificent with a great bedbmside manor. It was also a TOTAL please to deal with the front desk this day, which was soley due to the front desk "Manager" not being there and that deservesa 10 star.I gave a 2 because she is still the manager and she should NOt be allowed to give her NASTY additude directly or in the background with the way she speaks to the other front desk employees was a complete PLEASURE. This one individual I am sure with her additude and waysamd the way she speaks to patients/clients has made this establishment loose good clients because I am on the fence myself about leaving due to soley her. It's disgusting and disturbing the way she is allowed to talk to people and her additude and even with the other employees that are under her. She has taken that "term" LITERALLY. The way she is ALLOWED to treat and speak to the other front desk employees is mind blowing. I sincerely hope the owner and doctor who runs this practice takes these words I speak into serious consideration.. This person does not posses the attributes, skills and human decency to be a "Manager" and have staff under her. She speaks and walks around as if she is better then them and demeans them with the way she speaks to them when they ask her a simple question or when she over hears the conversation they are having with the clients and she constantly corrects them right infront of the clients with her terrible demeanor and mojority of the time they were infact correct with the answers they gave to questions a patient asked but she would be sitting off to the side listening and would insert herself and try to correct them meanwhile all she would be doing is give the same information just in so many other words and just totally embarresed the staff and disrespected them with her nasty additude speaking to them with a tone in her voice while rolling her eyes giving off the vibe that the staff didn't know what they were doing but yet they did and you could see the shame on their faces. This "girl" should be ashamed of herself and this office owner should be both embarrassed and ashamed they have any staff that would speak to another like this whether it's to the client directly or to staff members under her guidance. It's really a true shame because this is a nice office and the rest of the staff is a pleasure to deal with.

Negative experience: Poor work and quality. Do the work right the first time. It’s traumatic for a preschooler to need to go to the dentist multiple times in less than a year for repairs.

Negative experience: I was totally frustrated and upset with the appointment today at Friends Family Dental & Braces. I was a new patient. The dental hygienist was clearly tired and overworked. She even said she had a long day. She proceeded to work on my teeth and was forceful with her handling of my teeth and mouth. I also was doused with water that was all down my back. There also wasn't a spit cup with water in the exam room to clean my teeth out. I was told to use the bathroom. When I went to the bathroom; there wasn't even toilet paper and the hand dryer wasn't working. I feel she was just rushing to get onto the next patient and get out of there. Then the dentist came in. He just asked me to open my mouth and to tell me I didn't have cavities. I just needed to floss better. He didn't even introduce himself or anything! I will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone! I am making sure that myself and my daughter find better care someplace else.

Fantastic experience: For the past 7 years my son has been going here, he is now 12. The facility is clean and spacious with game consoles to occupy the little ones. He recently did a dental procedure and it was absolutely painless for him which I think is the most important part, compared to otheg experiences. Everyone working there, backend and frontend is super courteous. Super friendly patient knowledgeable dentists! I highly recommend!

Negative experience: I only gave 1 star because I couldn’t post my review without doing it but this place gets ZERO stars from me. Don’t let the pretty office fool you the work is very lousy. Worst place to bring your child. They do not do a good job at all dental work did not make it to a year before becoming undone. Took my daughter to another children’s doctor and they were in total disbelief of the work that was done on my child. Not to mention the way they DEMAND 150 dollars EACH time something needs to be done because they do not work on more than one tooth at a time. The appointment cannot be scheduled without the payment. Absolutely horrible I am totally disgusted as a parent.

Positive experience: I went in, my teeth were partially cleaned , I took x rays and sat in the waiting room thinking I’d see a dentist. I did not see one. I waited for about 35/40 mins. At around 5/5:15 someone asked if I had been seen. I explained I was waiting for the dentist. She said oh and walked away. I seen another patient go to the window and I over heard them ask about their visit and heard that the office was closing. Son of course I got up and went to the window. I was told my appointment was only to see the hygienist. When I was in with the lady that barely cleaned my teeth she said for me to sit out in the waiting area and wait for the dentist to review my X-rays. Also online I believe they close at 7(I could be wrong but they didn’t close at the time they told me while in the office) very disappointed

Negative experience: I sat waiting to be seen. One child screaming in pain. Then another child screaming in pain. I picked my phone up and saw almost all 2 star reviews. I was seen by a dentist that looked clueless. I wasn’t even given a cleaning. I was told to go to the receptionist for a referral. I had a dental infection and wasn’t even offered penicillin for an infection. I had to literally persuade the dentist to give me one. I am happy I was not worked on. I have in all my years never seen such incompetence in my life. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place. If they would numb kids up a little more they wouldn’t be screaming. Definitely I do not recommend a child to come here. If anyone wants to message me I know of amazing dentists.

Negative experience: Fair dental office for kids ever!!!! Assistant is so rude!!!!! Even with the kids!!!! I choose this place like our first dental visit and Im very disappointed with my choice!!!! And they didn’t even ask me “do you want to make an appointment for the next visit? they just did it like automatically!!!! Without asking. Never ever back to this place!!

Positive experience: We went for an alignment consultation, and I really appreciate the honest opinion that the dentist gave my daughter, which end up saving me money in not needing them. I appreciate the dentist, but not the wait time.. 11:00 appointment end up seeing her not until 11:45.. the office is clean and everyone seem very professional. The price they quoted is a bit high compared with other dentist office for invisalign.

Positive experience: Excessive wait time after arriving for your appointment. I should not be expected to wait 45 mins or more when I made an appointment. 15 mins grace period is more than enough.

Negative experience: The worse experience of my life. Definitely don’t recommend! After x-ray staff informed that I need a treatment for one tooth because of cavities. I did not feel any pain or discomfort because of cavities, but I agreed to have a cavities treatment to prevent doing a root canals. I was surprised that I needed 2 anaesthetics for cavities. Doctor was not accurate and dental assistant too. My mouth was full of saliva and assistant couple times vacuumed my lip, tongue and cheek. After this doctor told me that I will feel sensitivity for next 4 weeks! It was wow! And then he said if it will not disappear for 4 weeks we need to do roots canals. Root canals can be covered by insurance which I have, but cavities treatment no. So I did pay for it. But the worse thing is that today is 4th day after visit and I have stomatitis in area near this tooth. Also, receptionist was not on her desk when I came in and was leaving. I needed to go in and ask someone to came to work place. So, I will never visit Friends and Family again.

Negative experience: My daughter needed to have fillings done. The wait was long but I work at a dental office and realize things happen so that did not bother me, What did was the dentist and assistant my daughter saw. She was very rude and the dentist got very snippy with my daughter who is 6 and getting a filling for the first time. I found another dentist who was recommended to me and decided to go there for a cleaning. To my surprise this new office told me that it was already billed along with a fluoride treatment. I know for a fact that those procedures were not done I was sitting in the room with my daughter the WHOLE time. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Negative experience: This place is totally bogus and I will do anything for a $ …. Took my daughter here for X-rays which was covered by my insurance and they still found a way to scam me out of $200. And when I gave them one star review the threatened to not give me the X-rays unless I changed it. Extremely unprofessional.

Negative experience: I'm sorry I can't speak well about this place but I don't give them one star, I have my 8 year old girl who was going to have two of her teeth filled, and just like that they just gave her the gringa to inject the anesthesia and they still wanted to charge me 150 dollars for a gas I would have paid for it but I didn't like the procedure. If she is a girl she is not an adult

Positive experience: Great place, the dental hygienist was amazing. Unfortunately, we didn't actually meet the dentist. That seems to be the newest trend, they look at the x-rays somewhere else and just let the front desk if that my kids are fine.

Fantastic experience: I love taking my children to this Dental Office, this is both of My children's first Dental place and now for 7yrs, Dr, Elan Kaufman is the best at what he does for Children and there Families, bringing them peace of mind when it comes to caring of our teething needs. However I myself became a part of the equation when my Dental office had specific days that didn't work well for my work schedule. This office is open (7) days a week and I love how fast and comfortable and reliable the service is here, the kids play while waiting to see the Dentist and there's friendly staffs who understands my son's needs being he's Autistic and on the Spectrum. I approve 'Friends and Family' because they provide the best and clean office with a character themed place that children can play and relax before getting there needs met.

Negative experience: If you have a sensitive child, don't take them there. They said my grandson was combative when he was having a panic attack and did not wait for me to be in the room with him when they started work. It was an awful experience for my grandson (and for me) and we will never return.

Negative experience: If I could give this place 0 STARS I WOULD ! My children seen the dentist over 5 months ago, They want me to do their fillings with them but want me to pay. Which I did. due to medical reasons I had to reschedule they refused to transfer my cash payment to another date. I told them to send my children’s records I would go elsewhere. this request was out in early summer 2023. NO ONE HAS EVER GOTTEN BACK TO ME !! Every-time I call they mention the manager Liz isn’t in to call back, everytime I call she’s in a meeting and she doesn’t return calls !! receptionist Amanda even told me they won’t give me my records if I want to go elsewhere let them see my child and do X-RAYS ! basically refusing to give me my children’s records which I legally have a right to. THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY & will give you run around with receiving your records !!! DON’T GO !! ** EDIT : the companies comment shows how unprofessional they are . The X-rays were never sent same day as I first mentioned. However the manager Liz did call me to reconcile the situation and apologize for the issues. Need a change of reception staff; young & lack bed side manors.

Negative experience: When the child got scared and started crying, the dentist got up and left, instead of reassuring the child that everything would be fine, we waited for a very long time and thought that she would not return. After she returned, she just spent 2 hours cleaning my child and told me that she had tooth decay. It's horrible…

Negative experience: I have been bringing my son to this dental office for years. We have never had an issue until this last appt. We had to wait an hour and a half to be seen. The office seemed to be overbooked for a Sunday, with only 1 dental hygienist. When he did get to us, the service was very rushed. A child’s appt should never be that long. I was very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Liz was exceptional from beginning to end. She was competent and helpful and gave me the correct referral information I needed. My dental hygienist was also wonderful. It was my first visit to the practice and I’m glad to have found an office with caring staff.

Negative experience: I have previously visited this children's dental hospital and had a decent experience. However, my recent visit left me extremely disappointed. Despite receiving numerous reminders via calls and texts, the wait time was excessive—nearly three hours on a Sunday—with around 20 other children also waiting. With only one hygienist attending to all these children, the situation felt highly unacceptable. Unfortunately, based on this experience, my family will not be returning to this facility.

Negative experience: I had appointment but doctor doctor was not at the clinic. next when I scheduled appointment at another clinic I paid because Insurance didn't cover. In my opinion friend family dental & braces send authorization of insurance about me, but I had not service because doctor was not there. I lost time and I lost my money. doesn't recommend

Negative experience: Waiting time was horrible, and “lies, scams, liars a.k.a receptionists. Was told son needed special medication for cavity fill($150 X 2 teeth, plus laughing gas at $150 per session x2). Why?? Said the insurance will not cover it.How would you know prior to trying to obtain prior authorization from insurance. I called insurance and close friend @ NYU Langone Dental Clinic in Sunset park. . Both told me that they just to lazy to submit forms/request for prior authorization. It’s somewhat involved process, and can take up to 4-6 weeks. Instead they demand deposit, and treat you like an idiot. They are only good for checkups and fluoride treatments. Thread cautiously. P.s. The way so called owner responds to people’s criticism is disgusting. Stop taking everything personally and perhaps train and educate your staff better.

Fantastic experience: Front desk and Doctors are all very professional and provide the best care for patients, love the environment of the office which is very welcoming to all patients. I get my routine check up visits here, including fillings which are all very easy to set up considering how helpful the staff is. Would recommend to all!!

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed, no heat outside in the sitting area at all but heat was on inside the dentist area. Staff is very professional and caring. However we were freezing in the sitting area as it was way too cold outside. I have decided to review because we were freezing outside in sitting area while you had heat inside. You make no sense stating it's the coldest time of the area because you do get paid each visit. Take full ownership of providing heat then replying to my review. I be glad if you would tell me you had turn the heat on but vents were off in sitting area. Why???

Fantastic experience: UPD 12/12/2023 Couldn’t be more happy with Dr Kaufman and the team taking care of my son yesterday. As a mother I was crazy worried about getting his teeth fixed under sedation. I was worried he won’t be fully asleep or will still feel the pain. But everything was so great, my son didn’t feel nothing, he doesn’t even remember that any work was done)) No pain after the procedure as well. I’m very grateful and can’t thank the Doctor enough. Both of my kids been patients at the clinic for a few years now and I can’t think of a reason to ever switch the Doctor. Thank you The medical assistants (or whatever their position is) could be a little nicer. other than that great place and great Doctors. Front desk girls are always attentive and know what they’re doing.

Negative experience: I didn't like the fact that yesterday my man and his daughter were there for a visit and a girl and her mom were sitting in our seats my boyfriend politely asked the females to move because the seats were taken. The lil girl got smart with my man n the mom started yelling i don't get why my man was approached when was being polite about the situation. The only people who were making a scene were the mom n the lil girl. I even corrected my man when it was wrong but at the end of the day no child should be disrespectful to any adult. My response to your response: Who are u telling me I'm not a parent ? This is why ppl like u get disrespected . Don't play with me

Negative experience: Maybe it’s me and my granddaughter, because Dr. Kauffman did not have any patience with my granddaughter and I feel she was not numb enough and if he was aware of medical history he would be have known that she takes pain medication on regular basis. I was not informed of the treatment of what materials would be used for her filling and when I asked about after care instructions he walked away and the dental assistant told me to speak to the receptionist. The first time he extract her tooth we had different experience don’t know what happened during this visit. Also I truly recommend ear plugs or headphones because the drilling noise can also be traumatizing.

Negative experience: My son was seen by the office in 2020, the hygienist was rough and rude and i have video and pictures to prove. I was not present for that appointment in 2020 his dad was. Had i known it was the same facility i would of never returned to that office. Then last week my son was complaining of a toothache, so i called and i was on the schedule for the same day. We were called into to do some X rays by some abrupt, not friendly Dental Assistant. The way she was speaking to son she clearly does not have the patience to be dealing with anyone let alone a child, and yes i have audio. We were seen by a Hygienist her English was not very good and at some point hard to understand. We were told by the Hygienist we have to make a second appointment to see DDS, since my son has a spacer in his mouth and it has to be removed, and we will not be going back to that office and will see his regular DDS. I did call back a few days later to get my son's Xrays what a hassle. I also expressed that i will be going to my regular DDS and that my $50.00 be refunded first person i spoke to told me to email me the receipt and gave me the wrong email, second person i spoke to said thats not necessary its on the chart that i paid. Can we say inefficient, blind, or just straight lazy ?

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate this dental office. They really cater to my son who has autism. I was very sensitive about that, they Reassure me his in safe hands.. I still work along buy-side them and they understand my place as a mother.

Negative experience: Whatever you do if Dr Kaufman still works at this office do not bring your children here. This man will make whatever dental problems your child has way worse. Almost all of the teeth that were treated at this office had to eventually have to be extracted. One of my children even developed a submandibular abscess caused by a tooth that this dentist supposedly “treated”. One top of all that he successfully traumatized both of my children. Money hungry and arrogant man. Whatever these people replied to my review is a complete LIE and extremely unprofessional. It is due to their horrible care and recommendations that my child is suffering now. Absolutely absurd. Go here at your own risk.

Negative experience: I did not complete my visit, reason for this was due to the lack of communication from your staff in matters of overbooking and only having one dental hygienist available for all patient. I learn about this when one of your patients' parent came to the front upset after waiting nearly two hours in the back for the hygienist. As I heard the parent complaining, I immediately check in with your front desk staff since I was already waiting and 45 minutes have past. According to the front desk staff she reported to me that I had three other patients ahead of me. I was extremely frustrated at this point, since I was already waiting for so long and no one had the courtesy to inform me of the delay. I don't understand why your patients are being overbook and you are only provided one hygienist to see all patients in a day, to me a labor abuse. I left because I was not going to be seen until after 3 PM. This could have been easily avoided if communication prior to me traveling was convey let alone when I had arrived. Especially since I was traveling from a long distance.

Negative experience: ***PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE*** I have never taken time and write a review to help people. Please do not come and do any treatment at this place. They are so unprofessional.I had the appointment for my daughter. I think there was no laughing gas used during the treatment. I paid for it and I physically checked it to ensure because I read the review after my first visit( trust me first visit wasn’t good either, I went second time because my daughter was in pain and they were giving an early appointment)but I was right ,they didn’t use it. My daughter was terrified, and cried out loud when the doctor was treating her/ taking her tooth out . As soon as he took out the tooth, he just ran out of the room like it’s just the disease he took out. And nurse was rushing too. When I asked her what to do if she would feel pain , she simply said go to the front, they will tell you…. Receptionist is not a DOCTOR or nurse. It was terrible experience, never going to visit again… I was rushing because my kid was in pain. PLEASE DO NO GO TO THIS DENTIST PLACE I HOPE THIS place WOULD CLOSE SOON.

Positive experience: Completely satisfied. Great space for kids. My daughter enjoys going to the “dentist” because she have lots of fun. It’s like a playground it keeps her distracted and busy. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kaufman is kind, quick and honest. My daughter had so much anxiety and he was calming her down (baby root canal) , Dr. Kaufman showed her pictures of his children. Amazing dentist. I’m so happy with his work and his empathy towards others.

Negative experience: I called for an emergency appointment because my son was having severe pain. When I called the rep. gave me a quick appointment. When arrived, my son was crying tears and yet we waited 1hour 15 min. I wasn’t made since it was a last minute appointment. They told me they didn’t take my insurance so I paid out of pocket. When we got in the chair, I was told that his baby teeth is trying to come out and he has a cavity but they do not pull teeth on a Saturday. I was very frustrated because I wasted time and money especially for them to do nothing. On another note the facility was very nice and clean.

Positive experience: The dental office and it’s assistant staff is amazing and so friendly, and sweet. The 2 receptionist Elma & Tina have to be the best receptionist I have encountered, very sweet, and friendly, full of life and smiling ear to ear thru there mask… you can see the love and respect in their eyes as they welcomed us in the office waiting area, the bitter part of my visit was a woman name “Liz” who seemed to have no people skills or anything to make you feel comfortable… she was mean, rude, stone face, and simply arrogant when it came to simple inquiries about treatment for my son.

Negative experience: I would not recommend going here. I went here a couple of months ago, and I waited for a hygienist for almost an hour. Multiple people walked by the room and said nothing to me. I didn’t care for the hygienist very much and she informed me that I had 9 cavities. When checking out I was told what they wanted to do and how much things would cost; as well as what’s covered by insurance and what’s not. Some things that they told me wasn’t covered I knew for a fact was, so I never returned there. Low and behold I go to a new dentist today who tells me that I have 1 cavity. 9 to 1 cavity are you kidding me? The cavities don’t just dissipate into thin air. I am incredibly disappointed and glad I decided to not go back who knows what these people would’ve been doing in my mouth.

Fantastic experience: The dentist and his staff are kind, caring, patient and dedicated to their patients. Each of my children have very different needs and personalities - the staff are able to accommodate each child in the way they need to be treated to make their treatment well-rounded and comfortable. My children are 1, 3 and 5. They love the dentist and look forward to each visit because of the kid-friendly environment and incredible staff. My son even asked if he could go back to the dentist because it was fun. They've even gone as far as to purchase special stickers and make sure each child leaves on a positive note. Highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I wish i could rate them more!!! They made my son so comfortable during his extractions. The dentist was extremely welcoming and friendly and so was the rest of the staff. I loved how they took their customer service above and beyond my expectations. As a first time patient it definitely was a great first impression.

Negative experience: I found this office by way of Google search and actually selected it due to the excellent ratings. Unfortunately, this was not my favorite dental experience. In between the 6-8 text reminders and calls initiated to me, by the office, the staff was ill versed with my daughter’s situation through—out our appointment. This was our very first visit. By the looks of the beautifully decorated and equip office, I had very high expectations of professionalism. After filling out forms and explaining our situation to 3 different staff members (although I sent an email, x-rays and a written referral from our Orthodontist) We were called to the exam room promptly. The Dr’s aide placed the anesthetic in my daughters mouth, placed a bib on her chest and was then-out of the room. The Dr arrived to the exam room without any introduction. He did not understand why we were there, as per his questions about her teeth. He had not reviewed the X-rays we provided weeks before arriving. After indicating he hadn’t review our case, he abruptly opened my daughters mouth and injected her in the gum site, with the needle. As the Dr.s work was nearly over, the aide rushed back into the room to hand the Dr gauze, tell me I was using her chair. She then congratulated my daughter with “Great Job” - Not sure how since she wasn’t there to actually witness the procedure. Both the Dr n aide left the room. We did not receive after care from either of them. We were handed gauze in a paper towel as we exited the room. As we were gathering our belongings from the front of the office, I saw a familiar staff member. I informed her we did not receive after care instructions from the Dr before leaving the exam room. Luckily, apologized she advised us with the steps we needed to take after having a tooth extraction. I would not recommend this office due to the low level of satisfaction I felt during our visit.

Fantastic experience: Was my son's first time seeing a dentist and as it turned out he had a infection and needed a tooth pulled which made me and my wife nervous but thanks to the staff from receptionist to the dental assistant to the dentist. our fears were put to rest I could not have asked for better then what was given to my child . I highly recommend. Thanks you so much my son arrived in pain and crying but a couple hours after your care he's back to his old self running around the house

Fantastic experience: This was my kids first time going to this facility. We arrived and parking was not hard to get at all. Walk to the entrance and had to call to find out if they where open because the inside look really dark from the outside as if it was closed . They answered right away and buzz me in. The office is really clean and the staff is very professional and explained everything to my kids because starting. . The facility is really kids friendly and even have toys and games to occupy the kids, not that they needed it because as soon as I walked in I was called 3 mins later. I’m extremely happy with my experience and so was my kids. Thank you for an amazing experience. My daughter did ask why they didn’t receive a lollipop or toothbrush when they left but overall great place. See you in six months.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience ever. The dental hygienists that did my kids cleaning were very helpful, friendly, and patient. They were the only good thing about my experience. My son is 4 and had multiple cavities. The dentist tried to pressure me into playing $2000 to get anesthesia because he wanted to fill in all at once. When I expressed I could not afford that, I was told I had to pay $250 per tooth on top of my insurance only for my son to feel pain the entire procedure. He’s developed a fear of dentists after this experience, screaming the whole time because the dentist rushed through the procedure and didn’t allow time for the numbing medication to set in. The dentist took the toy my son wanted to play with away from him and was very dismissive and cold towards him. After the second tooth, it was extremely hard to keep an appointment to come back because the office would constantly call and reschedule saying the dentist left for the day. One time I drove all the way there for an appointment and they said they canceled it because I didn’t response to the reminder automated text message but later it came out the reason it was canceled is because the dentist left for the day. The worst part is that after all of the pain my son went through, the two fill ins the dentist did on my sons 2 front teeth came off within 6 months. I will never return to this place. Since then we’ve found a new pediatric dentist and I saw how my son was actually supposed to be treated. He’s felt no pain and they’ve been extremely patient and everything they’ve done my insurance covered. This whole time they’ve been correcting the other dentists errors and have given us so many preventative tips to help my sons teeth at home. I told Kaufmans dental hospital I was not going to return and find another dentist and the receptionist did not care and had an attitude with me after canceling my appointment. But now they continue to call me to ask me to return. No thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kaufman work is amazing he is caring and knowledgeable. The staff is great friendly and accommodating. The office is clean and definitely modernized for a childrens dentist office it gives high end boutique vibes. I love the work that was done on my sons teeth and I would HIGHLY recommend. 10/10 chefs kiss.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this place.....I was greeted by an immaculately clean office very kid friendly...with all the latest equipment....wait time was very minimal.....Dr. Kaufman was exceptionally nice and caring .....his expertise was very visible....he clearly explained everything that my daughter needed done...i instantly felt that shes in the right hands....I returned 2 days later to begin treatment ....The Dr. was already there i had no wait at all.....it was an amazing experience my daughter needed a tooth extracted. He gently explained his work to her and she was really at ease in no time the tooth was out....she didn't even know what had transpired.....the bleeding stopped an hour later and she even begged to go to school....i was really floored!!! Twas an beautiful experience!!!!!!! I would highly recommend Dr. Kaufman!!! the staff was also amazing!!!!! thanks so much!!!! I'm looking forward to complete the rest of her work!
