They did incredible work in a comforting manner, patiently explaining the post-op care and answering every question I had throughout the healing process. It is abundantly clear how passionate they are about periodontal work, how knowledgeable and experienced they are, and how much they care about their patients. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Fantastic experience: McCawley Center for Laser Periodontics & Implants is the filet mignon of dental care. They have state of art dental technology, skilled Dental Hygienist and office staff professionals. Dr. Mark McCawley is the best. After my gum laser surgery, he personally gave me a call to check on my progress on my gum healing process. I am very happy and satisfied with my progress and results.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful. Before every step of the exam the procedure was explained to me, which put me at ease. Dr. McCawley was very careful not to do anything invasive as I had taken antibiotics prior to my consultation. Despite this restriction he did a thorough examinaton. Fantastic experience: I recently moved back to Sarasota, yet I still make the trip to have my teeth cleaned at the McCawley Center office every 90 days because I know the high standards of care I’ll receive. I’ve had three different hygienists clean my teeth here, and each one has been excellent. They don’t just clean, they take the time to educate me about my habits and encourage me to improve, even when I admit (again!) that I haven’t been flossing. Their focus is always on my long-term oral health, and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. I always leave feeling satisfied, cared for, and confident in the quality of their work.

Fantastic experience: At each visit they took me in right on time. The entire staff is courteous and the doctors and hygenist were excellent. Although I have very sensitive teeth they provided adequate pain blocker and sedation to make it a pleasant experience. I am exceptionally happy with the end result.

Fantastic experience: Dr. McCawley was a life saver for me when I found out I had periodontal disease at 32yrs old. He and his office were my 3rd opinion and last. I have a huge fear of the dentist and was sick over my diagnosis. Dr. McCawley calmed me, speaking with facts, logic and support. Cindy, my hygienist is amazing! She knows and understands my fear, as it continues to this day, but I get my cleanings every four months without fail. I am determined to not lose any more teeth other than the four molars I lost at 32. I highly recommend Dr. McCawley and his entire staff, they are all top notch!

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Dr. McCawley and Cindy enough for the incredible care I received from them both. I was in severe pain and feeling very overwhelmed when I walked into the office. But Dr. Tom and Cindy went above and beyond to help me. From the moment I arrived, Cindy was compassionate, attentive, and genuinely concerned about my comfort. I was coming in to get my routine teeth cleaning, but I was having a lot of pain on my bottom right molars. Dr. Tom took the time to listen to my concerns check me out thoroughly. We even did a CT scan to make sure everything was OK on the inside and he continued to reassure me throughout the process. Most importantly, Cindy Was super gentle, made sure my pain was under control during my cleaning. It’s rare to find a doctor and an amazing highly skilled dental hygienist who goes the extra mile the way they do. Their skill, professionalism, and kindness truly made all the difference. I left the office not only feeling so much better physically but also grateful to have such a dedicated and caring periodontist who really cares about my well-being. Fantastic experience: In December 2024, I underwent a laser procedure to improve the health of my gums, which has suffered over the years due to a large number of implants. While it was not an easy process, I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and results I received from Dr. Mark McCawley. From the very first visit, the doctor and staff made me feel comfortable, supported, and informed every step of the way. The office itself has such a warm and welcoming environment—you’re immediately greeted by smiling faces that put you at ease. The professionalism combined with genuine kindness is something you feel as soon as you walk through the door. The past 8 months of post-care included deep cleanings(included in the cost of the), and the level of attention and follow-up was outstanding. The laser procedure itself has shown real results—I’ve had when the doctor claims to be positive results with bone growth in my gums, which is incredibly encouraging and a true testament to the doctor’s skill. Today was one of my numerous implants over the last few years performed by Dr. Mark McCawley, and from the pre-surgery preparation to the implant procedure itself, my confidence level in the McCawley Center couldn't be higher. Besides my high opinion of Dr. Mark, I feel a distinct difference in their business model from other periodontics I have used in years earlier is in the quality level of their staff. Every time I visit either for a cleaning or dentistry work, I always see the same professional staff with smiling faces and a true effort to solve your problem. My husband was referred to the McCawley Center for Laser Periodontics and Implants after it was discovered he was experiencing bone loss. From start to finish, the care he received was exceptional. Following the procedure, the follow-up was outstanding—both Dr. McCawley and the nurse contacted him after hours to ensure he was recovering well. He even received a thoughtful card and flowers from the office. Throughout the recovery week, he was able to reach out with any questions or concerns, and they were always available and responsive. Having dealt with serious medical issues in the past, including cancer, I can confidently say we have never encountered a more compassionate, attentive, and thorough medical team. Fantastic experience: I was taken in for service upon my arrival at the designated appointment time. The hygienist conferred with Dr. Tom and proceeded to the cleaning and surgery preparation. Dr. Tom came in and proceeded to make sure I was comfortable and knew what he intended to do. He also spoke to my wife in the waiting room to relieve her anxiety after the hygienist told him about her discussion with her just prior to his comming into begin the surgical process to remove two lower right molers. I was giver local anesthesia and made comfortable. They both worker together like a well prepared team. The teeth were removed and the surgery was concluded. The hygienist then proceeded to clean my teeth and mouth. I was briefed on aftercare and given the medication, and items to use at home. I was all done by the time I had been told that we would done. I left after making my follow-up appointment on 3 months. R.

Fantastic experience: Just had my 3 month cleaning-exam at McCawley Periodontics. I go 4 times a year on the advice of my old, retired dentist. I've had 3 periodontal surgeries since 1995 due to gum disease. The last (and final) surgery was by Dr. McCawley about 10 years ago. The quality of their follow up care and cleaning-exam at 3 month intervals means I'll likely never need periodontal surgery again. The quality and professional care of my surgery and follow up at McCawley was notably superior to the 2 prior periodontal surgeries I had. The former doctors just performed the surgery and sent me back to my dentist, with no particular follow up. Dr. McCawley (and my retired dentist) suggested that I stay with McCawley for my regular dental care. This has made all the difference. Each 3 month cleaning also involves a review of my gum care. They probe the depth of each tooth's pocket every 6 months. (The probe should not extend more than 2 or 3 millimeters down between the tooth and the gun line.) When Dr. McCawley examined me for my surgery 10 years ago, my back molars had pockets 10 to 13 millimeters deep. (I was well on my way to tooth loss) My gums and teeth are healthy now (no pocket more than 2-3 mm) I also follow their orders for daily tooth/gum care. That is: F.B.I. - Floss, brush and irrigate. (with a water pick or other oral irrigation device) On the doctor's advice, I also add a small amount of bleach to the water in the irrigator. It's the perfect anti-bacterial wash. I asked Dr. McCawley Sr. if I could use peppermint mouthwash in my water pik instead of bleach (because it tastes better) "You can" he said, "but it doesn't kill bacteria nearly as well as bleach, and bacteria is what causes gum disease." So, I stuck with the squirt of bleach in the water pik water. You get used to it. This treatment has been the key to my excellent oral health at age 63. Jerry Williams

Fantastic experience: I think the world of Dr. McCawley Sr who I started with due to a gum issue and even then, was impressed enough to ask him if I could continue as a regular dentil customer... and he said yes. So, how much I believe in the care, his knowledge, cutting edge treatments and all the moving parts of his office can best be said when I tell you, I have been driving a 5-6 hour round trip every 3 months for over 30 years to stay in their care! (I live in the Middle Keys). My hygienist is fabulous and at this point feels like extend family! I have no doubt that his son Mark is as committed and skilled as his father and will continue the level of service they both take pride in, as they should. A great office!

Fantastic experience: For everyone out there who can take care of everything but their own teeth and gums due to an aversion to a thought of a dentist chair, there is a solution. You can find it by calling Caroline at the McCawley Center and asking her or her friendly staff for an appointment with Vania, an angel of a hygienist. Vania immediately recognized my severe dental anxiety. She listened to my problem with a rare understanding of my fear of any procedure and clearly explained what she needed to do and why and making sure I was comfortable. When I was set to leave she would not let me out of the chair until she was confident I clearly understood what steps I needed to take to save my smile. Vania has given me the courage to finally address my dental problems that have bothered me for years but I steadfastly avoided. To the many out there who share my phobia- call Caroline and make an appointment with Vania for a pleasant surprise.

Fantastic experience: I just had my 6 month check up after having the lanap procedure done by Dr Mark. What a huge difference! I came into the office in pretty dire condition. Another dentist wanted to pull all my teeth. Dr Mark and his team laid out a comprehensive plan that was very successful. I’m pain free, have no more bleeding gums and tooth infections. My X-rays today showed significant bone growth and no signs of infection. If you are thinking experiencing periodontal disease, I can’t recommend Dr McCauly and his team enough. They gave me a second chance. And that is something life rarely grants.

I went in for the consult and it went well. they took their time with me and told me about everything that I needed done. the woman who helped me (terralyin I think?) was awesome too. she helped me understand what needed to be done, she gave me the cost breakdown, and educated me about all the options I had when it came to payment for everything. the guy (William I think?) was super thorough, funny, and took his time examining me. I had a ton of questions all of which were answered to the best of their ability. The doctor was super kind as well. He was not rushing from patient to patient, but rather made sure I felt heard and understood. I overall had a great experience and plan to go back as soon as I am ready to have the work done. the office is very professional & accommodating. thanks you guys!

I travel here from Miami Dade County for the value added experience of being treated by providers who are not only highly competent, They care about my outcome. There are a few highly competent providers in Miami, And some of those highly competent providers are honest. As someone who is not highly inclined to play Russian Roulette, I will stick with the Mc Cawleys and endure the drive. Lol

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mark McCawley is extremely honest and professional. I went in yesterday for an implant on a back tooth, and he said it wasn't really necessary unless it bothered me. I was told I needed the implant by other professionals. He saved me thousands of dollars and from unnecessary work. I am thrilled to have him as my periodontist. .

She was gentle, very skillful and informative through the entire procedure. My tongue hasnt looked this good in years.
