Fantastic experience: "Quick service. Excellent customer service. Very thorough explanations on all procedures. Masterful work. I would recommend 10/10 to any person in need of dental care from routine oral health management to critical al oral health emergencies." 04/22/25 I woke up to huge cyst along my gum line near one of my failed crowns from a previous dentist at another location. It felt like and looked soft marble in my jaw lol. At 9:45am I was able to make an emergency appointment for 10am. The assistants were very knowledgeable, patient, and pleasant (Big S/O to Jo-Jo, Heaven, and the other staff who helped me!) I took x-rays, oral scans, had a comprehensive evaluation from the Dr, and had treatment plan all within 1 hr. I currently don't have dental insurance and they also had financing options to cover all of the procedures I would need and was booked to have treatment the following Friday 04/25/25 The most important part (and the Dr's don't even know this) is that after I had my procedure completed, which took about an hour and a half, the pharmacy where I sent my pain medication unexpectedly closed early and I had to go the entire weekend without any medications, BUT I DIDNT NEED THEM! I haven't had to take any pain medication (not even OTC meds) in three days! Whenever you have such an extensive surgery as I had (tooth extraction w/ bone and membrane graft) and your pain is minimal to the point to where you don't need ANY pain medication, that means not only was the procedure a success, but that the Dr performed with masterful execution. It has been such an honor to have been u Der the care of the team at this facility and if are in need of care, whether routine or emergent, this is the place you need to book your appointment.

Fantastic experience: Came across this practice on zocdoc and decided to make an appointment based on all the great reviews. Let me tell ya, they are true!! What an absolutely amazing dentist and phenomenal staff!! As someone who has a fear of dentists due to past experiences this was an amazing 180. Dr. Sam was very friendly and explained everything that was going on in my mouth and what needed to be done. He didn't just dig in my teeth and gums and then handed me a bill. The dental techs were very nice and gentle in how they obtained x-rays, etc. Just left the chair and my gums are not all scratched up, swollen and sore. I have no words to describe how amazing of a first visit I had. I am actually looking forward to my next visit!! Thanks a million and see ya soon!

Dr Sam and Dr Julie are the best dentists I’ve ever been to!! My kids were super nervous but the doctors were so patient and explained everything they were doing to the kids which in turn calmed their nerves and made them comfortable enough to let the doctors do what they had to do. The treatments we all needed were explained thoroughly and all the questions I had were answered without an attitude, which is rare anywhere else nowadays. Thank y’all! Negative experience: **Attention Consumers:** The billing practices at this office warrant caution. In September 2024, I underwent a procedure and was informed by the dentist that my insurance would not cover the cost. However, it later became apparent that the procedure was, in fact, covered. Several months have passed, and I have yet to receive reimbursement from the office. If there is a willingness to misrepresent insurance coverage, one must question the accuracy of other information provided. I recommend seeking a second opinion or considering this dental office only as a last resort.t—if at all.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Waste my Uber money to come here . They didn’t do any cleaning on my teeth or take a one tooth off . Try to charge me for full service knowing that I’m on SSI . All they did was X-ray that it . I have a valid dental insurance but it didn’t cover everything. It’s a scam

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Lancaster Family Smiles for some years now and this was the first time where I felt the Dr was very personal. Dr. Sam is very knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly with very soft hands.

Negative experience: Beware! Look at their reviews at the Better Buisness Bureau or Yelp. This is my 2nd 1 star review because somehow my first one disappeared. I had a dental implant done 2 months ago that does not look healthy even thou this is NOT my first implant. I hope it sticks. Then my EOB showed I should get a refund and they wouldn't give me the full refund. They gave me about 30% of it. They aren't honest or good which are 2 requirements needed at a dental office.

Fantastic experience: The staff here is Amazing, I really love how they break everything down for the children to understand and make the children feel special while there here, 10/10 I definitely recommend.

Negative experience: They're looking for expensive implant patients. That's their priority. I've never seen a child here. So why is " Family"in their name? The high reviews are fake, repeat or from staff friends. If you want overpriced dentistry, and bold smart aleck pushing of prices..come on down.

Fantastic experience: I found Dr O and Lancaster Family Smile through Google and I am so grateful that I did. From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and Smiles. Unbeknownst to me, the gentleman that i began talking with was actually Dr. O. He didn’t treat me as if he was superior to me and he spoke with kindness. The staff was Amazing and very patient with me. They had state of the art equipment for X-Rays and the facility itself is warm and comfortable. I highly recommend Lancaster Family Smiles for all your dental needs and for your whole family.

Positive experience: While chewing gum filing came out. I was able to call make an appt and was seen the same day. Unfortunately, my insurance wasn't in network, however; they still was able to provide their services at a reasonable cost. Thank you Dr Sah and staff

Negative experience: Horrible experience. I recommend do not go to this practice because their time management is not good at all. Last year at all my appointments the doctor was always late NEVER showed up on time even after constantly telling me Dr Gupta would be there. Today 01/19/2024 I had an appointment with Dr. Gupta and she never showed up. Do you a favor and go with a professional crew

Negative experience: They stole 485.00 on my credit card. I would not recommend these thieves. At the time of service I had insurance and it was already verified before I came. Their scam is they pretend they cant get your insurance company approval code so they put it on your credit card and promise its just a hold roll it approved through your insurance. Well they never send it off just charge your card.

Fantastic experience: First time here and I had a great experience. Entering the office, the atmosphere was great. It also smelled good. The entire staff is wonderful. I am usually nervous about going to the dentist, but they quickly eased it with explaining and answering everything.

Fantastic experience: Dr Shah, Netti and the whole crew was very patient and thorough. The Dental Assistant was determined in making sure I was comfortable and so professional.

Negative experience: These people smile on your face because they get the bill your Sherance, but if you can’t pay them out of pocket, they don’t wanna fool with you they say they miss represent, and they lie they call a void. They have attitudes that a slight and subtle, and they have no clue on what they’re doing professionally, so I wouldn’t even trust any judgment given by the dentist, nor the stuff in the office. This is what you call money sharks in the community try to take advantage. My story in a nutshell is that I don’t have dental coverage and since I don’t, they refuse to a procedure and a process that is well known throughout medical industry and it doesn’t cost him anything. Regardless, if I have the coverage of the farm is public and available to be sent out for review of the provider, it is a right of the patient to exercise that and he has a office are refusing to fill out a prioritization form. Causing you to stay away these folks don’t know what they doing.

Negative experience: OVER PRICE COMPARED TO OTHERS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY , BUT I MUST SAY DR. GUPTA IS SUPER SWEET SHE JUST NEEDS TO RE ADJUST HER STAFF! SO THINGS CAN GO AS SHE DISCUSS!

Positive experience: Everyone is welcoming and pleasant. I especially enjoy Dr. O as he is very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and explains things thoroughly. Four stars because my first visit was with Dr. Gupta. I was the first appointment of the day and I arrived early for my appointment time. I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time and finally requested to be rescheduled. The front staff was very nice and went to the back to inform Dr. Gupta of my request. I was then placed in a room. When Dr. Gupta came in to see me I felt she was rushing through the exam. After the exam she asked multiple times about applying for their financing options. My agenda for the appointment was to have a cleaning and to compare Dr. Gupta’s recommended treatment plan to a treatment plan that I had received from another dentist. After multiple “no” responses to Dr. Gupta, I was told that I needed to schedule to come back for a cleaning. The appointment scheduled for that day was for an exam and cleaning. After background conversations, Dr. O volunteered to do my cleaning himself. The cleaning was the best I have had in years! I was very happy with Dr. O and I scheduled to have my treatment plan completed by him. I highly recommend Dr. O at Lancaster Family Smiles!

Negative experience: This was my first stop as a young adult to get my teeth worked on they quoted me 6k out of pocket for my work I need with insurance. And a word for word quote from the the head dentist “it’s not about the money” but I went to another place in Arlington called brighter smiles. Recommended me from my boss and I have to pay only 1400 out of pocket with my insurance. Big difference……wanted me sign up for this loan account called bias. Taking out a loan?? Then even before I got the new quote I wanted to get my x-rays to get a second opinion. They said it would be $350 to give me my dental x-rays. But when I went to the new place, they only charged me 78 to retake those x-rays. They are either money hungry or like taking advantages of young adults, who are nervous their first time trying to find a dependable dentist location. Sure this place was good but maybe staff changed cause it wasn’t what the reviews said. Then when trying to cancel my appointment called at 10, texted at 1037, left a voicemail at 12 and 1:45 before 2pm a day before so I wouldn’t have to pay the 50$ fee if not cancelled by 24hrs they finally responded at 5:02pm.Also place has the counters really unorganized things just thrown into a random places without labels. Wasn’t the cleaners dentist office I’ve seen at all, everything is thrown into piles.should have taken pics to show what I mean but if you go you’ll see what I mean. always get a second opinion. The new place nun of these issues loved it very much dislike this place go in Lancaster

Fantastic experience: I left there feeling like my teeth had been washed caaaaaaaalean. They are so perfect! Dr. G, Dr. Patel, and NOW Dr. O, all have and have had wonderful welcoming and loving care. They are always hospitable and take great care of my teeth. The assistants are way fun and cool, and just a general delight to be around. The front staff are always courteous and helpful. I come early and my appointments are quick. They call or text to ensure I confirm my appointment the day before as well. Love them. I have moved all about since I first started coming here, but no matter the drive I always come back for their superb care.

Negative experience: At first I would recommend several family members to this place but now I am not. No where in the waiting room, website or consent forms does it state if you do not confirm within 3 days of the appointment, they will cancel it. I literally confirmed with someone last week when I called to get the exact date and time of my daughters appointments. This morning I receive a text message that the appointments are cancelled. After I already took off half a day from work, they decide to text the day of. Very unprofessional!!!! If the clinic cancels at least cancel the day before not day of while parents already made arrangement with employers to be off. The office manager clearly does not understand how to actually provide structure. Policies do need to be in place, but also need to let the patient/guardian aware before making any appointment. Update: after hanging up with the office manager Erica, this morning she said she could get my daughter in at 11:00 and she would try her best to move things around to get her in at 4:00 today. Well finds out she never added her to 11:00 tomorrow and now some one else got that appointment. For someone being an office manager at a professional clinic, honestly isn’t clear and clueless of policy, procedures or structure. When was someone going to notify me when the 11;00 tomorrow wasn’t booked?

Fantastic experience: My experiences with Lancaster Family Smiles are always great. Dr. Mahima Gupta and her staff is so nice and provides excellent customer service. Brianna and Nettie were very helpful at my recent visit, and Brianna went over in detail about my oral healthcare procedures for my next visit. I've had bad experiences with a dentist in the past, but now I finally feel at ease to continue on a path of better oral health. Thank you Lancaster Family Smiles!!!

Positive experience: I don’t think I have ever been here and waited less than an hour and a half and today was no exception. I had a 10:30 AM appointment for a cleaning and did not get called back until 1130 where they took x-rays and left me there for another 45 minutes before I got up and left.The office staff is GREAT. Always professional, kind and courteous. And I do like Dr Patel but the wait time is too much. Again, every single time I’ve gone, I spend at the very least an hour and a half and 95% of that time is waiting.

Positive experience: The experience thus far has been absolutely awesome. Normally when you go to the dentist you don't think about it being a wonderful experience you tend to concentrate more on the pain you'll probably experience. I had all of my teeth removed in preparation for implants, Dr Gupta and staff was very attentive and comforting as she performed the surgery. I'm still surprised that two weeks down the road I have exprerienced almost no pain post surgery. I returned today to get fitted for the temporary dentures and I experienced more pain with them removing the sutures (which was really minimal) than I have the whole process. Dr Gupta has a real warm comforting way about her that makes you feel like family- feel like I've known her for years! I'm pleasantly surprised by how seamless the process this has been, from the initial x-rays and consultation to the surgery and now the fittings, I never would have believed it could have been this easy!! Lancaster family smiles is truly a class act!!

I am greeted with smiles every time, and truly feel like the staff cares. I’ve never had a better experience with a medical team than I have here. We all know it’s hard to find a good dentist, let alone a great team to go with it, but I found both here. I’ve had a few dental procedures here, and was pretty nervous, but the whole team goes out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and calm. Can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Patel, Dr. Gupta, and Netti (I hope I spelled that right)! Really everyone there deserves a pat on the back. Thank you!!!

Negative experience: Always trying to up sell. Also they use a cheap filling material and the always come out within weeks. The Indian lady dentist I think is the owner and she is a sales woman. The man dentist is great so always get him. He does great work and is very kind. Also they open at 11:30 am so it’s hard to get a appointment because they open so late. They never answer the phone and never get back to your messages. Never! You literally have to go up there to get them to respond to you. Office staff sucks. I would go somewhere else unless you like having your fillings falling out.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I am a believer that you can have the best products and poor customer service...that the poor customer service will render your product useless. This is by far the best Dental practice I have experienced. I would even go further to say one of the best medical offices I have been treated by. I go to the dentist regularly, but a few years ago had a bad experience at one dentist which caused me to have very severe anxiety to where I couldn't even do a cleaning. Well almost 2 years later (and 3 dental offices and - to add that I had been with my previous dentist for over 8 years) after research I decided to try this office. The office was clean and serene (even have a fountain in the front lobby), the front desk was very welcoming and polite. I was seen pretty quickly. The Assistant including Lynette and another young lady were absolutely cordial, calming and reassuring. Both my doctors including Dr. Gupta were attentive (but she was not the primary who worked on me but handled my sedation), accommodating and made me feel very comfortable. I was able to get a procedure that I have rescheduled numerous times over 2 years due to fear completed in just one visit. I can't thank you enough and look forward to coming back in a few weeks for my cleaning. I also appreciate that this office is a one stop shop. They have the ability to cover most all dental needs in the office instead of referring pieces of your care out. Awesome office including the billing/scheduling coordinator. They work as a team and are genuinely concerned about their patients. I'm not a diva, but they treated me like one. THANKS!

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional dentist office in Lancaster! I keep giving them chances because they are conveniently by my house. I been there 3 or 4 times. Each time I have waited over an hour in the waiting room then waited for another 30-45 minutes in the chair waiting on the dentist. Then try to rush with the procedure in my mouth. Horrible experience EVERYTIME I COME. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST OFFICE!!!!

Negative experience: Cash prices: they charge $60 for an exam, $120 for cleaning, and $300 per filling. I was paying for my partners dental work here. They took more than hour just to do an exam - no cleaning or anything. Most of that was waiting. They make you prepay before or doing any additional dental work. As for my own experience and appointment, they are terrible on basically every dimension. Ratty office with torn up couches. Waited an hour and thirty minutes from time of appointment and was never called back in that time, with zero explanation or apology. They called three other people back in this time, all of whom arrived after me by many minutes. Counting the drive there and back, they wasted my entire afternoon from 1:30p - 5p. They were planning to charge me twice the cash price because I have insurance, and leaving any reimbursement from insurance as my headache. I left to go sit in the car after 90 minutes of waiting to be called back, because who knows how much more of my time they were planning to waste. Avoid these people if you at all value your time.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gupta is an awesome dentist. I have been coming to her now since 2018. She listens to her patients and is always concerned about their overall well-being. Her staff are always very friendly and attentive to your needs. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a local dentist.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental office IN THE WORLD!!! I need a lot of work and not only did they help me find affordable options to pay for it but the level of compassion and patience in this office is unlike anything I've ever seen. Literally wiping my tears away during a panic attack in the middle of my procedure and taking the time to pause while I gathered myself. They've made me a forever patient!!!

Negative experience: Great first time experience. Felt very comfortable and like I was in great hands. Edited: I have since switched to a new provider. The review above was true for my first visit, however it was given in exchange for a gift card. About a month after my first visit (August), I called to request an itemized receipt in which I was told I would receive a callback due to them needing to speak with the office mgr about charges listed. I never heard back. I called back once or twice more after that, but this didn’t get resolved until November maybe? My second visit never happened. I arrived on time and was told there would be about an additional 45min wait because the dentist had a meeting scheduled the same time as my appt.

Fantastic experience: Throughout my visit I was feeling very skeptical. It seemed nothing was going right. After waiting for an exceptable amount off time Lashandra called me to the back and made my entire visit worth it. She was very friendly and welcoming. I would choose them over mint anytime.

Negative experience: To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement! For starters, I’ve had to waste 2 days at this establishment. They failed to inform me that the office would be closed on Aug 31, 2021. I found out when I arrived on time to a LOCKED door. After knocking on the door, calling the phone number, and then going back to beat on the door, someone came just to tell me they are closed due to a family emergency & sorry no one called to tell you. I was cool and they said they can fit me in on Sept 1, 2021. The lady told me they can get me in at 3 and have me out at 3:45. Fast forward to my new apartment date and I arrived at 3:02 only to have to wait until a sales agent to finish passing out his business card before being addressed. At 3:20pm, I asked if I was going to be seen because I need to be gone by 4pm (even though I was told I’d be out by 3:45) for work. The lady who assisted me the day before came out and said, “we need to get him out, so go ahead and take him to the back”. Keep in mind I’m the only one that was there. So at 3:22pm I was sent back. At 4:07 I was walking out and still hadn’t seen the doctor. No one opened their mouth to say anything when I exited the building, they continued on with their conversation. This is a horrible reflection on Dr. G and her practice and has left a horrible taste in my mouth. 2 whole days wasted and still didn’t get any service!

Fantastic experience: Let me start off by saying Lancaster Family Smiles definitely knows what customer service is all about. I got an extreme makeover with a crown and two fillings, that’s how good of a job Dr. Gupta performed. The staff throughout is professional, caring, informative and hands down true to customer satisfaction. Now that I’ve gotten that part out the way, that darn Dr. Gupta is an outright perfectionist she does not stop until it’s right and she ensures that her assistants have completed every element of the task. They work together as a team. I trusted her work so much I told her I don’t need a mirror to see because anyone that strives for perfectionist is the definition of loyal and making the customer satisfied in a exceptional way. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Gupta since they opened. She is truly amazing. I just finished a round of work that with any other dentist I probably wouldn’t have wanted to finish, but she made it easy. Since I’ve met her she has always made me feel comfortable when I told her that coming to the dentist always makes me anxious. She never made me feel embarrassed about that. I just told her last night that she’s the only dentist in life that I’ve stayed with this long. She’s so nice and she truly makes your time with her delightful. Fantastic experience: First of all, this place is so nice as soon as you walk in there’s really soft couches and nice decorations, it’s a fresh, comfortable environment. They also had Grey’s Anatomy playing on the TV in the waiting area which was great. They helped me out a lot when it came to contacting my insurance and getting the right information, they are all very professional workers at this dentist office. I had a great experience, glad I chose this place to visit and will be back again.
