Negative experience: Even with an appointment you end up waiting over an hour. The office is dirty, X-ray and examination rooms are dirty and doctors are the worst I’ve come across, it literally took him 8 mins to clean my teeth, i could’ve done better at home brushing them .. all this is putting it mildly. i will not be going back!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing appointment today. Annabelle did the measurements for my new retainers and gave me an experience of welcoming. I recommend more people to get their dental appointments at Western Dental as I am lucky to have them.

Negative experience: If I could I’d give zero stars, they always take too long in attending. Besides the personal are so rude.

Negative experience: The back area that does the work is great if you can get to them. Front desk area has screwed up my appointment multiple times. As I type this I'm trying to reach them cause I can't be seen at the time they scheduled me in person yesterday. Due to my appointment they made me yesterday was saved in the system when they made Saturday cause they had to cancel my Saturday appointment. But as I keep calling they either put me on hold then end call or it rings 2 seconds and is hung up right away.

Negative experience: I went into western dental Lodi in Jan for tooth pain and the dentist didn’t want to help me relieve the pain and said I needed a root canal finally after asked to have the tooth pulled he said he could do something to help with the pain if I bought gum x out of pocket I had concerns and asked what happens if the root canal isn’t approved and I have to pay out of pocket for the gum x they said they could guarantee it will be approved I was hesitant to do this but I was in a huge amount of pain at the time and needed help as they kept trying to convince me not to pull the tooth, then at one point he tried to convince me to pull all my teeth and get dentures (I’m not even 30 yet) granted I should have had them put this “guarantee” in writing but I couldn’t even think straight with the amount of pain I was in (won’t make that mistake again) then I went in to pick up the gum x and it wasn’t available after a few months of purchase around March finally I had an appointment scheduled for my root canal in june and I went in and they said it was denied due to not being “medically necessary” I said they told me they could guarantee it would get approved if I purchased this gum x thing and told them they had a responsibility to complete this they wanted me to pay out of pocket for the root canal (I cannot afford it) hence why I’m on medical, and asked them to then cancel the gum x being i never picked it up and they scammed me into purchasing it under false pretenses and while I was in pain and took advantage of the fact that I was in distress and needed immediate help. They tried to tell me it was not possible to cancel and I said I spoke with cooperate and it can be cancelled they just have to submit the form the ladies were very rude as was the Dentist and finally the manager her said she would cancel it “tomorrow” because she was too busy to do it then when I asked for copy’s of the paperwork, this was on 6/3/25 it’s been a week and has not yet been cancelled they also never answer the phone this was a terrible experience and was almost like I was at a car sales place with how much they pushed me to spend money out of pocket in order for them to help treat me. Not to mention when I got my teeth cleaned the dentist was very rude and very rough causing me more pain then I was already in I’ve given birth twice with no epidural I don’t have a low pain threshold however that pain was ridiculous. Not to mention I was in dable to take anything at this time as I was pregnant with my second child during this process. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

Positive experience: Dr. Mohammed is the best at extractions. Hardly no pain. Administers pain medicine that doesn't make your heart beat. Lol.

Ed and made an appointment for a dental surgeon to remove number 15 Is molar they made the appointment I showed up to honor the appointment With approval through my insurance company and when I get there they turn Me down and turn me away They tell me when I get there that they do not have an oral surgeon.Thank you Is corporate western dental that one is all On you wasted all my time and gas and effort For absolutely nothing chew on that Don't care how well recommended they ever come.I will never ever set foot In western dental ever

Negative experience: I took my 1-year-old daughter here for her first dental appointment and absolutely hated the experience. We had to wait 30+ minutes in an empty waiting room past her appointment time and we had shown up early. The receptionists were nice but every other person we interacted with once we got called back absolutely failed in basic politeness and customer service. Not a single person introduced to themselves not even the doctor. No one explained what to expect from her first appointment or what we were doing next. Once we got back and seated in the exam chair we had to wait yet again for someone to come see us and tell us what we were doing next. Even booking a follow-up appointment was abrupt and strange because the person booking it did not ask what day works for me she just told me a date and time. The place did not feel very clean or updated and in my opinion definitely not child friendly. If you are considering going here for your very young children I would highly recommend looking anywhere else. I am planning to pay out of pocket for my child's dental care because I do not want to go back here (and this is the only place in Lodi that takes my insurance and had pediatric dentists). Even when I called around Lodi to other pediatric dentists when I mentioned Western dental was the only place accepting our insurance the response I got back was sympathetic (like they knew I probably wouldn't have a good experience). I suppose it could have been a worse experience but it definitely was not a good one for me or my daughter. And now I'm getting reminders of her next appointment and I have no way to cancel that appointment online and I have been on hold for 10 minutes twice now and not been able to get through to a person to be able to cancel that appointment. The text message reminder I got only gives an option to confirm not to cancel. It should not be this difficult to cancel an appointment in this day and age. They have an ability for me to confirm my appointment they should just let me have an option to cancel or reschedule the appointment. I am at the point where I'm considering driving over with both of my children to in person cancel their appointment. This is just so ridiculous. Do not go here if you have any other option.

Negative experience: I called to get some questions answered and make an appointment, they don't speak clear English, and treat you poorly for not understanding them. If you have ptsd or anxiety don't go to this one.

Negative experience: WARNING. The worst place. Do not go. The dentist is unprofessional in his mannerisms and the committed insurance fraud billing my insurance for services that were never done. I called them about it, and they said they call back but never did.

The service was wonderful, and the staff were both welcoming and friendly, which made the entire visit feel comfortable. Annabel, who handled the retainer mold, was very nice and laidback and she kept the process very quick. I highly recommend her for anyone visiting.

Negative experience: If i could give zero stars i would..this is my 3rd time going to this office. My second visit, the DR i saw was a different one than the first time and this time..The Dr i saw twice is very rude and very dismissive. He doesn't say Hello I'm Dr so and so or anything. He doesn't listen to Any of your questions or concerns and instead judges you and no matter what blames EVERYTHING on the fact that "everyone has gum disease". The first time and this time i left the office in tears. The assistants are kind and i even had one of them.apologize to me before leaving. He is the type of dr that is the reason why people have a fear of the dentist. I will not be going back and i DO NOT recommend going there.

Negative experience: Worst place your dentist do not have patience with children put the numbing paste. Don’t even wait a minute needle got bent in her gum absolutely horrible place.

Negative experience: I had an appointment and the dentist that I saw started asking me if I voted for Trump I said no. He just couldn't stop talking about Trump and was upset that I did not like him. He was very unprofessional, I felt sorry for the girls that work there because I think they have to listen to him all the time. I went there for Dental not for politics. I also was supposed to have my teeth cleaned it did not happen. He only put what he called a whitening past on my teeth and sent me on my way

Negative experience: I was surprised at the type of cleaning service I received during my recent appointment. The tech that cleaned my teeth literally just applied some sort of cleaning paste on my teeth. No type of cleaning tools were used so I was very surprised when she said “ok you’re all done” then went on to schedule my next visit. It was less than 5 minutes of service. I asked her if they had stopped using the cleaning tools to help remove plaque and all the other general cleaning that I’m use to. She then said “oh no, I have them right here, is that what you want?” I told her “yes! That is what I normally expect when I come to get a general cleaning”. Within minutes another tech came in and they both began to clean my teeth in the fashion that I am accustomed to with all my other dentist appointments. I’ve had service done here once already and the first initial cleaning was also sub par but not as odd as today’s visit. I’ve come to conclude that maybe I’ve chosen the wrong dental care provider for myself. It feels like it’s a program for start up dental services lacking oversight only with the goal to get a patients signature just to be able to bill the insurance.

Negative experience: Made an appointment last week, showed my new ins card, came from valley springs for the appointment 20 minutes earlier, sat for over an hour, was called to the counter, was told they were trying to verify my ins and she was on hold and she was 10th in line to speak to my ins, I asked her why it wasn't checked last week before she gave me my appointment.

Positive experience: They got in and did what had to be done… treated me with respect and kindness.. am going back to finish up work on next appt

Negative experience: The manager at this establishment, “Daniella” (that’s the name she gave me) , exhibits a lack of professionalism and courtesy. My mother required 3 tooth extractions and received an estimate prior to her appointment. Upon arrival, she was asked for her insurance card, and the check-in staff indicated that was all that was necessary, allowing her to take a seat. After the procedure, my mother waited approximately twenty minutes for her ride, during which the receptionists acknowledged her presence but failed to mention any payment requirements. Consequently, she assumed that her insurance would cover the costs or that a bill would be sent later, as no charges were communicated. The following week, she received a call instructing her to contact the dental office, where she learned of an unpaid balance on her account. When she attempted to resolve the issue, the receptionist was unable to clarify the situation and advised her to speak with the manager the next day. Upon doing so, Daniella rudely questioned why my mother had not paid if she had received an estimate, despite my mother explaining that she was not informed of any payment due at the time of her visit. Daniella further insisted it was my mother's responsibility to request a bill, raising concerns about the expectation placed on customers to remind staff of their duties, particularly in a situation where my mother was recovering from a procedure. While I acknowledge that errors can occur, it is difficult to accept that the manager of this establishment is attributing responsibility to my mother in this instance. With her mouth filled with gauze and blood, it is unreasonable for the manager to suggest that it was my mother's responsibility to remind the staff to process her payment. The manager's demeanor towards my mother was exceedingly disrespectful, and she displayed a clear lack of accountability for her team's failure to complete the billing prior to the appointment. Rather than implying that my mother neglected to pay and left, the manager should prioritize evaluating whether her staff is adhering to proper check-in procedures.

Fantastic experience: They are so wonderful and great service across the boarder. My son was really scared at first to get braces but he is getting used to them. The dentist is very sweet and kind. They do really good work at this dentist office. Very kid friendly also which makes me even more comfortable. Great work and great job across the boarder

Negative experience: The dentist was the most rude, condescending, unprofessional "professional " I have ever dealt with. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My appointment time was changed without acknowledgment. We had to wait over 30min to be called back for x-rays. Once we finally met with the Dentist he complained that he doesn't like to see clients after 4pm (time was 4:15) and it wasn't our fault the office was over booked or running late. When asking the dentist about treatment options, he became agitated and condescending. Spoke in circles with farming analogies and didn't give straight answers. Unfortunately, it became so uncomfortable and unprofessional that we had to walk out of the office without a treatment plan. Extremely disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Z and his assistants are always very pleasant and friendly. They have taken care of all of my dental needs including pulling my top teeth for dentures, deep cleanings and two root canals over the last year and a half. I am a grateful and happy patient who would recommend this team to anyone who is looking for a dentist.

From the friendly people who work in the front check in to the people who help you to the chair, to the actual dentist and dental assistants - everyone works to make your clay a little better... Fantastic experience: When I had my appt today at Western Dental I was pleased. I got in the chair in about 15 min, signed paperwork and paid my billthe surgeon worked rapidly to numb my tedth, extract my teeth and finish up. He was professional, curtious and explained everything.

Negative experience: honestly even one star is being nice. My husband made an appointment(waited a week while in pain). When he got there the receptionist(Daniela) told him they wouldn't see him and dismissed him. After I did HER job for her, I called the main number and booked another appointment. She calls an hour before the appointment and says they won't see him, she blames every one else for her initial mistake. She hung up on me and then hung up on the customer service agent from HER own company. She definitely is not able to handle any type of "issue", is very unprofessional and doesnt not take any accountability or have any compassion for patients. She left my husband standing there in pain with no direction, no help. I honestly hope her manager or the dentist educates her on what type of work she's in and how to be professional. I can only imagine how she treats elderly or others who can't advocate for themselves.

Negative experience: I must say one of the most horrible experiences ever. I've scheduled appointment for 9:00am which was for a family however the corporate office did a great job of adding that under my name it took us a while to address that, on top of that it took us 1:30hrs to get checked in that demonstrate the customer care you get at this facility. Unfortunately, I'm stuck, but not recommending this facility further.

Negative experience: I came in at 1:40 for a 2pm appt.... waited until 1:45 until i was helped to fill out the paperwork and waited past 2:15 to be seen. While i was waiting I seen a few people walk in and the employees did not greet anyone, not even a "I'll be with you in a minute". They ignored them. The same was done to me. Its horroble customer service and bad ediquette... if i have a 2pm appt then i expect to be seen at 2pm. It seems like this place is ran by young women who dont care about service because they get paid regardless.

Fantastic experience: They did a great job for my routine cleaning. Again, GREAT JOB done by Western Dental in Lodi. We arrived late and they were still able to see my son for his check up and cleaning. Entire appt went smooth from start to finish. Thanks again!

Negative experience: I have not even had any work done here yet and they’re already stressing me and my fiance out. We just moved to Lodi and scheduled appointments. My fiance went to his and they said they had him mixed up with some other guy who happened to call at the same time with the same birth date, so he had to reschedule. Right before leaving to his rescheduled appointment, they texted him calling him the other guys name they mixed him up with and said he needed to reschedule again. We tried rescheduling once more because it is super close and the reviews looked good and double checked that they had all his information correct. The rescheduled date is for this upcoming Monday and they messaged Friday and Saturday WITH THE CORRECT NAME but that he missed his appointments on both days . Confusing confusing confusing. Don’t waste your time here didn’t even get seen and glad we didn’t by looking at the reviews if you have medical it’s all bad

Fantastic experience: I've had tooth pain for well over 7 years. Been terrified because of a bad root canal procedure I went through. Pain in my existing cavities got to the point I couldn't take it anymore. I got 3 extractions done over 2 visits, as well as bone grafts. Any pain I felt during or after the procedure doesn't compare to what I've been going through. The dude that pulled my tooth is a thug and the lady that helped kept me relaxed. This is going to be my primary dentist from now on. If you have tooth pain, stop waiting, lodi western dental is gonna treat you right. And if the guy who pulled it is reading, WE THUGGED IT OUT BABY!

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE . This is the worst dentist I’ve ever been too. I’m traumatized and come to realize when you have medical they treat you like crap. The main dentist here does not like women. He even told me he’s not going to do his best work or quality and I ended up going to another dentist and WOW . The way I was treated here, nope. Not ever going back. So I was scheduled a root canal on a Saturday. When I came in the dentist was mad he had to do a root canal on a Saturday. He told his assistant this is why I told the front desk to not schedule me on Saturday’s. “Now she’s not getting my best work or quality.” He did not numb me completely . When I would scream in pain he would roll his eyes , I had to ask for doses . I tried to fight the pain , I SHOULDNT HAVE TO. , i should be completely numb. He did a half job. He cut my tongue , smacked my upper teeth multiple times because he was mad with metal equipment in my mouth. Anytime he knew I was in pain he would Talk about his wife and how women are just scared . I’m not scared of the dentist , but I shouldn’t have to endure pain when my insurance pays for the work. I had to go to a different dentist and PAY for my root canal to be PROPERLY completed. Like he said, he wasn’t going to do his best quality. He meant it. The equipment there is also very old & yellow. The bathrooms are dirty, watch when you go somewhere else , you will notice how ran down this place is and how awful the main dentist is. The general manager there has attitude . When I complained about my teeth needed to be cleaning and how they charged my insurance without doing it, she was irritated to help me and had me wait . She wasn’t doing anything but sitting on her phone . When I told her this is INSURANCE FRAUD that’s when she took me serious . The dentist never examined my teeth thoroughly or took my concerns serious . When I went to another dentist he told me I had 8 cavities and my chipped tooth only needed a filling . The dentist at WD, said nothing was wrong with my teeth only because he wanted my issues to get worse so medical would pay more. Well, I have better insurance now and get treated completely different else where. Where MY dentist had to REDO HIS work and treat me like a human and with respect . Where the office is clean, equipment is clean and new . Where MY dentist does not belittle women. AND I did not have ENDURE PAIN, I was completely numb having to REDO HIS work. It really shows you how awful this place is. Do not go here unless you want to be treated like crap and have to go somewhere else to get the work REDONE.

Negative experience: Unprofessional!!!! Malicious person who acts very kind when facing him, ones you turn your back thats when he talks non sense. No respect for peoples being and peoples time. I waited a whole week for this and just to be played like my time is not important . I didn't even get an explanation on why this is happened. They tried to say some scenarios that. Could have happened. Instead of tling me the truth. That they are lazy to let me know that i will not be seen today

Fantastic experience: Very limited first visit. But so far so good. Will review more after procedures are done. Dec 1 follow up. Went back for 2 teeth removed. Dr. Z is a rock star. Never felt the needle. He was always listening to my comments. Was not stingy with the anesthesia. Assistant also very helpful and kept me informed of what was going on. This will be my family's go to dentist as long as Dr Z is there. Very reasonable $$$

Fantastic experience: Valeria was an awesome Dental/Office Assistant. Very kind and sensitive to my dental needs. She explained my options for future dental care and was willing to work with me. Keep up the amazing work Valeria!

Negative experience: The front staff was nice and tried to accommodate, the main male dentist was extremely rude, told me it was illegal to work on my daughter because she was whimpering from being nervous, understandably so as she is 4. He looked at my daughter and said if she did not stop crying she would not get to pick a toy from their “treasure chest” at the end of the visit. I questioned why they couldn’t just try to help and see if she would do okay with the nitrous gas, he said they can try just once to work on a child, but if they were to be resistant or have issues they were not allowed to try twice. He proceeded to lie to front desk associate and tell her that the pediatric dentist said it was impossible to work on my daughter. The front desk associate did get agreeance from the pediatric dentist to attempt to work on my daughter, but she was helping a “2nd try child” first, something the previous doctor stated they did not do.

Fantastic experience: Dr.z he was great had to pull a tooth an I didn’t feel a thing an he made so comfortable an his assistant Yolanda made me feel really calm an overall great ppl I will definitely come back

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much to dr. Heir and her assistants especially Annabell they are sooo awesome . Such a kind doctor she always hears me out about my teeth and makes me feel comfortable with my ortho treatment . Definitely recommend them

Fantastic experience: Yolanda and dr Z were so good during my filling appointment today. Yolanda made me feel so welcome and they both had me laughing at the end.

Negative experience: Maybe the dentist I had before is gone since I’m seeing amazing reviews (shocking to me). Rattled off my numbers of the pitting gums to assistant by looking at my xray, didn’t even look at my mouth. Should have known not to come back yet in desperation I went back and at that time medi- cal didn’t cover back teeth root canals (they do again now apparently). After, I had a piece of jaw bone exposed. Ex mother in law is a dentist hygienist and expressed such poor care was given. Dentist said the exposed jaw bone was normal… so yeah.. glad everyone else that goes there miraculously has great treatment.

Negative experience: I hate coming here month after month. Do yourself a favor and pay the same price for braces somewhere they’ll actually care about your experience. Doesn’t matter if you're early or late for your appointment, they’ll be 20-30 minutes later than that. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m writing this at 8:25 AM in the waiting room while waiting for my appointment that was for 8 AM!

Fantastic experience: They were very prompt especially Daniela with her ability to explain everything in a linear fashion while I was in so much discomfort and in need of immediate attention.

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to the dentist in several years because I feel uncomfortable all the time. Dr. Z and his assistant, Mathew, changed my experience at the dentist for the better. Best people I've ever had to help me. Patient with me, understanding, focused, efficient, and really outgoing. The only thing that I'd say could be better is the pricing lol. Thank you very much Dr. Z and Mathew.
