They came up with a treatment plan, went over the costs and we started the work. Since a previous traumatic experience in the dental chair, I was very nervous. Negative experience: Horrible. Went for first appointment. They requested i fill out my information on their website prior to my first visit which I did. Arrived 10 minutes early and waited 50 minutes while 5 other patients that arrived after me were seen. Was told twice that they'll be right with me. Walked out. This place is a real meat market. If u have all day to wait around then this place might be for you.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit and my entire experience was exceptional! Front desk and the entire staff were very friendly. I never felt rushed and they explained everything that needs to be done very clearly. It's so welcoming when you have a dentist that really seems to care and reassures you with confidence! Fantastic experience: Arrived a little early and just about as I was sitting down they called me to come back for cleaning, everything went quick ,in and out, no issues no problems,I go every 4 month for cleanings and it's always the same thing, in and out, I would highly recommend giving this place chance, especially if your having issues with your present Dental office, every other place I've been tries to rip you off, not this place, in fact since I have been getting a cleaning every 4 months I have had no issues. Saving me mone in the long run, Been thinking about selling and moving but I will take the trip every 4 months to keep coming here. Best wishes for a great new year. Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying that the front staff is amazing very helpful, friendly, and I was seen very quickly. Karen, the assistant, was wonderful, and Mohammed, the hygienist, was incredible. I didn’t feel any pain at all, and he always checked to make sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process absolutely amazing. The doctor was fantastic as well. 100% recommended! Today was my return visit for tooth fillings, and once again my experience at Coast Dental of Port Charlotte was nothing short of amazing! The entire staff made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Niomi at the reception was so welcoming, Karen as the doctor’s assistant was wonderful, and Dr. Y what an incredible dentist! I didn’t feel a thing during the procedure. Truly an outstanding team and a place I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Before get to Coast Dental, I went to another dentist in North Port and he referred me to a Periodontist. Both told me the same and the estimate was “sky high”. A friend went to Coast Dental and I was surprised of everything they got done for him the same day. So I decided to try here, and I do not regret. Karen, hygienist Brenda and Dr (I think his name is Yamashita, if not please forgive me) were AMAZING. Karen help through the complete process and explained everything very clearly, Brenda have heavenly hands she took a time to do my full mouth deep clean. Fantastic experience: Dr Geary is an expert in the Dental community. He is very knowledgeable and does just what is needed to perfection! He has worked on both me and my husband. We are both very pleased with the final result. Also, Muhammed is an excellent Hygienist. He is very good at explaining what is needed to get your teeth and gums too perfection. Fantastic experience: As always a great experience at coast dental, great staff. My wife was in the office the day before and must have said something because dentist and hygienist both said pleas let your wife know we took care of you. Always a pleasure at coast dental.

Fantastic experience: I was about to leave town but had a persistent pain in my gums that kept getting worse throughout the last couple days. My mom urged me to get it checked out at a dentist. This was the nearest place I could find covered under my insurance (only 4min away from my mom’s!) and when I called and explained the situation they fit me in for an emergency appointment the same day! Turns out I have early stage gum disease and got a localized infection in the area I was having the pain in They told me if I had waited longer it could have spread to the rest of my mouth. The dentist and dental hygienist fixed me right up and I’m grateful I was able to get everything done in one day as well as finance treatment for what my insurance didn’t cover. Everyone was very kind and patient with all my questions. It’s been a couple days and I’m feeling much better. Thank you Coast Dental @ Port Charlotte!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Coast Dental Port Charlotte for almost 3 years now and always have a good experience. Dr Prescott is very knowledgeable and talented, he has done several crowns including the front teeth, and they came out perfect. Hygienists are great and office staff are very helpful.

Negative experience: I came in for a second opinion that’s advertised as free with no charge for X-rays, during the appt they tried to up sale me the whole time for a $800 deep cleaning and saying they won’t do any procedures unless I buy it, after the appt they told me I’ll be charged for x-rays because I provided them my insurance number and it’s only for new patients with no insurance and they said it’s too late I already provided them insurance, the manager said if the insurance won’t cover it I’ll have to pay for it, so don’t be fooled nothing it’s free as they advertised, will never come back there again

Fantastic experience: Today was a very pleasant experience at Dr Prescott office. I first encounter the receptionist Naomi. So kind and caring. Then Karen took me into prep me for X-rays. Another kind special employee. I then met Muhammed who took such special care to make me feel comfortable while deep cleaning my teeth. When I went to pay I encountered Catherine so sweet and patient when asking questions about insurance. Dr Prescott also very gentle and explained what future procedures need to be done. I would recommend this Dr and the whole staff to anyone who likes to be treated like a Queen.

Fantastic experience: I was scheduled for a cleaning but needed an extraction for over a year ago. I couldn’t find someone to extract the tooth and the doctor was kind enough to do it on the spot. I am very relieved and thankful..

Fantastic experience: Went in to get my permanent crown on. I admit I was a little bit worried when Dr. Yamashita first tried the fit, because it was clearly not good. The tooth was not made correctly from the lab. Dr. Yamashita's years of experience showed as he took a shaping tool and spent his time working on this tooth grinding and polishing it, fitting it again and again until he had a perfect fit. The dentist should not have had to do this, but I really appreciate the time he took to make sure it was a perfect fit! I'm sure another tooth could have been ordered, I would have had another wait, another visit, etc. Another great experience. Karen, his assistant, was awesome, as always!

Fantastic experience: I have never felt so comfortable at a dental office before. It's so warm and inviting, the service was wonderful, I had some pretty awful dentistry done before. The topical anesthetic they use is absolutely wonderful, and the care and patience that the Dr has is amazing. I can not and will not stop raving about this place!!

Fantastic experience: My first dental appointment since 2012 I came very early. Everyone at the reception area were very efficient and extremely friendly making me feel important to them. They treated every patient coming in the same. J the dental assistant was a great at helping me relax with x rays and explaining their process. Dr Prescott is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything as it was happening at this appointment and what was going to be done in future appointments. Before leaving at checkout the same friendly knowledgeable explaining costs of everything. I am sorry that I did not get everyone’s names. Everyone exceeded all expectations. I would give 10 stars to everyone I met at my first appointment

Fantastic experience: Broke a bridge and the two teeth it was holding it in place while eating some smoked almonds. Walked into Coast Dental Port Charlotte Florida and was x-rayed, examined, given a referral for an oral surgeon and on my way in less than 30 minutes. I have always been treated very well by this dental group ! Thanks to all!

Fantastic experience: Well From the time you walk into Coast Dental you are greeted t by an infectious attitude of gratefulness that you are there. Each person greatly appreciates you as a client. Fantastic experience: Being deathly afraid of Dentists since I was a kid, I needed some overdue dental work. My wife who is a patient at Coast Dental told me how great they were and that I should try them. I had an appointment for a consultation on 06/18/25, after x-rays I had an exam and I was told exactly what issues I had and I was presented with a treatment plan. I couldn’t stress to everyone there how low my tolerance for pain was and how much anxiety I was having being there. The staff assured me that I was in good hands and I wouldn’t feel a thing. After presenting me with a treatment plan that was affordable and which I agreed to, they began the work. I want to say, Coast Dental says what the mean and means what they say, I didn’t feel any pain throughout my first treatment. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m looking forward to my next visits and getting the work done that I need. I can’t thank enough the following staff members for respecting my fears, taking great care of me and coming up with an affordable and sensible treatment plan. Thank you Dr. Yamashita, Karen, Mohammed, Anna, Naomi and Catherine! Keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Yamashita is the absolute best. His assistant Vicki is the absolute best. Coast dental rocks it big time!!! I am so pleased with this practice. No need to go anywhere else. Ever! All kinds of financing available if you need it with most insurance plans accepted. If these guys had been around when I was a kid, I’d have a lot more teeth now, But they’re good at keeping the ones I have now healthy and happy!! I’m impressed.

Fantastic experience: I went to Coast Dental to have a crown done. They are in network under our new dental insurance policy. I was very pleased with my appointments the initial one, the crown prep & install of the crown itself. The staff was nice, Dr Prescott was pleasant & made the procedure painless & best of all I’m very happy with my new crown. I may have to switch from my regular dentist.

Negative experience: It was my first time at this office today Not happy with how I was treated. I had all the x-rays they looked at my mouth then they showed me a piece of paper that said they want me to do the scaling and all this other stuff that I cannot afford. I told three different people all I need is for my cavity to be filled and a basic teeth cleaning . I was refused basic dental care because I cannot afford to have all the scaling and everything done. I just had it done two years ago and it cost me $2500. I asked the lady just need an appointment for teeth cleaning and for the cavity she said he will not clean your teeth. He will only do the deep cleaning for you. I said OK well, how about an appointment to have the cavity fixed? She went and talked to him and then came back and told me that he will not do that for me either. In the past five years, I’ve spent almost $6000 on scaling and deep cleaning. I don’t wanna do that anymore. So, without doing it, the dentist refuses to touch my mouth at all. They tried to bully me into having it done along with we can finance it.

Negative experience: Scammers !!! ! Overcharged from day one !!!! Looks like i visited office somewhere in Latin America …..actually in Mexico office would be cleaner and probably speak better English . Stay away !!!!! No idea who rated them so high….. one star is too much for them .

Fantastic experience: I went for evaluation to do implants and deep cleaning, the staff were very polite and took their time explaining and answering my questions, what to do and when to keep healthy in details, loved the doctor, the hygienist and the office staff I felt they put up with me and they were fantastic. Going back in a week for another visit.

Fantastic experience: The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. There was a scheduling problem and the staff made necessary accomodations to take care of the misunderstanding. I completely and unequivocally give my highest praise to everyone in the office and while I don't recall her name but the billing lady with the gentile southern accent should be given the highest praise possible for her customer service skills and the implementation of those valuable skills. Fantastic experience: I love Coast Dental. Catherine and all the ladies in the office are very sweet, and the lobby feels warm and inviting rather than cold and doctor-y. I forget my hygienist’s name but she was gentle and nice. No gum stabbing. Then there’s Dr. Yamashita, who is easily the most skilled and kind dentist I’ve ever met. He is calm, patient, and walks you through what he’s doing. I never knew it was possible to receive the numbing shot without that awful pinching and burning pain, but I literally didn’t feel anything but light pressure when he did it. After my filling I have no discomfort at all, no sharp jagged edges, nothing. For the first time in my life I’m not dreading my next dentist appointment because I know these guys will take such great care of me :)

Positive experience: Staff is kind and professional. Today I had an appointment at 9. Office opened at 8:30. I was not taken back to be seen until 9:30. No explanation or apology for running late. When I scheduled my next apt, I stated I made this apt early in morning because I thought early morning they would be running on time. Response was I was working on a difficult case. This is my second visit at this office. Will try again and hope for on time service.

Negative experience: I'm not very happy..twice had an appt and they are more worried about their money.not patient. Had money to pay dont take checks don't take cash. And still have painful tooth. Now I have to wait till 28th of February. Not. Finding another dentist.
