Positive experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a great experience with this dentist overall. The staff was friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. The office was clean and well-organized, and the dentist took time to explain everything clearly. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that the wait time was a little longer than expected. Other than that, everything went smoothly, and I’d definitely recommend them!

Negative experience: Condescending, inefficient, and traumatizing. Appt was 9am. I finally got to leave at 12pm. I understand every dentist cares about flossing but there are polite ways to tell patients to floss more without saying it so rude you sound disgusted. Xrays alone took them 40 minutes to do correctly. Doctor told me I had cavities and they could do them that day so I said okay. I wait in the chair for 5 mins and a dental assistant tells me doctor will come by to numb you. Literally those words exactly then left. Doctor comes over and without any explanation of how numbing works, just lowers my chair and rubs pink stuff on my gums. Then, without any heads up of what to expect, gives me 4 shots in my mouth that were incredibly painful. She then leaves and I spend another 15 minutes sitting there numbed in the face waiting for someone to come do my fillings. Someone comes by and then does my cleaning instead of my fillings. Why numb me in the face at all if we werent ready to fill the cavities? I have never been numbed for a cleaning. At one point, all the employees run to the front and I worry if there is an emergency. But no, they all gathered to say happy birthday to someone and spent 20 full minutes just talking and laughing it up as I am actively numb in the face and had been sitting there for literally 2 hours by this point. The doctor finally comes over to do the fillings and yet again explains absolutely nothing about the procedure and just shoves a bite holder in my mouth and starts drilling. This caused so much pain I started shaking in both fear and pain. She then goes to do the left side and it hurts even worse, and I start crying as shes working. Best empathy dr can give me is "Youre so sensitive huh?" And then without warning again just gives me 2 more shots in the mouth to numb it more. Again, would have been great to know it was going to happen before just shoving the needle in there. After drilling, the dr went to her office and the dental assitant - the only one with any true empathy that I met- actually explained what she was doing as she added spacers to my mouth. We sit there for the better part of 10 minutes before she has to get up to go ask the doctor to finish the damn filling already. Doctor finally finishes and again tells me in the rudest tone to floss and brush better. And not a single word of empathy about how badly I was shaking and crying during her rushed cavity fill. Doctor is incredibly lazy about explaining procedures. I work in healthcare too and I would never dream of just shoving my way through a procedure without explaining what to expect beforehand. Especially with something I know may cause significant pain. Exactly the kind of dentist that makes people never want to go back.

Negative experience: It's been a while since I've gone here but get anything they tell you in writing, when I went a couple of years ago they went as far as denying an employees existence. They passed and stalled my dental surgery until the file they broke off in my tooth broke the root of the tooth next to it and tried to charge me for it after saying they would take care of me. Time has passed so maybe they are better, but I would play on the safe side.(i noticed they deleted my review i made during the surgery)

Fantastic experience: When I entered the dentist I was truly scared after realizing I’ll be injected with numb by a needle because I had a cavity, though when I was in horror of the feeling the dentist truly cared and comforted me, I’m so glad to have went to this dentist, and turns out the needle wasn’t so bad after all. Fantastic experience: Updated review. After a long 18 months (or less i don’t remember) I finally get my braces off. I’m so happy with the end results. Dr. Velicu it’s been such a good orthodontist changing my smile, she make me feel more confident about smile… my teeth look perfect. Thank you Dr. Velicu for my new smile and also thank you Dani the assistant for being so gentle with me on each appointment I had for my adjustments. Thank you guys!

Negative experience: Everyone was very nice. The only thing I did not care for was waiting on the doctor to come in. I was told five minutes then and ended up being 45 minutes before she ended up coming. You all are a little bit slow and I do not care for that. I’m a pro person.. You all service need to be picked up because if someone has something Else going on I had to cancel what I had going on after I left the dentist office

Negative experience: I’ve been going here for over a year, and while the orthodontics and general dentistry teams are good, the scheduling process is a nightmare. They constantly mess up appointments, scheduling without my request, and then send daily reminders. They even call multiple times to confirm the same appointment, which gets really annoying. I've asked them to stop several times, but nothing changes. It’s incredibly frustrating and really brings down the overall experience. Update, even 7 months later, nothing has changed. Still getting the daily text and call.

Negative experience: First and last time there.Took 2 hours just for X-rays and a cleaning. Not nearly enough seating for everyone to sit through these ridiculous waits. There was a constant annoying low pitch sound in the waiting room at least they didn’t have the Looney Tunes on the TV Blaring.

Negative experience: I didn’t thoroughly research places to go, just searched for a local orthodontist office to have an emergency retainer removal. I will preface this by saying the staff are friendly, and the orthodontist is great and doing the equivalent of multiple orthodontists work. But the entire clinic is poorly managed and overbooked. They convinced me to do Invisalign with them which I regret agreeing to. Once I had paid in advance it was a total nightmare trying to organise my next appointment because “appointments can only be organised on Thursday mornings”. Convenient considering I had already paid and they are constantly contacting me otherwise when it’s about new treatments. They said I needed to be examined by the dentist before proceeding - totally fine. Their dentist said I had 8-10 teeth needing work. Went to get a second opinion at another clinic, Jefferson refused to forward my scans and x-rays to the other clinic ( mandates by law for them to do) and when they finally did it was a blurry phone quality screenshot, so entirely useless. The second opinion said I had minor work needing to be done on 3 teeth, not 8-10. I often receive multiple of the same confirmation texts a day as well as calls CONSTANTLY weeks in advance, all of which I confirm. If I don’t reply to even one of the repeated texts, I receive another text saying they must cancel my appointment and give it to someone else. The phone calls are trying to organise or confirm appointments I have either already had, have already organized or already confirmed. When I return their missed calls (which is almost every day) they usually have no idea why they were even calling in the first place. They aren’t keeping track of, or have extremely poor communication and management. When you visit, expect to be waiting 40 minutes for your appointment in an overly crowded waiting room. Multiple people saying they are also waiting 40 minutes every single time. Had I not already paid for my treatment I would be going somewhere else. It’s fine if you have low expectations.

Fantastic experience: Love the service , the front desk is super helpful and friendly the orthodontist and hygienist are AMAZING I love my finishing results , Geo and Ashlee are also super nice and friendly they can always turn my mood around when I got in office for a visit . I am super grateful for the experience and assistance I have received to get the smile I have always wanted ☺️

Fantastic experience: Edited. I originally marked one star because of the front desk issue with the check-in. *I arrived 10 min before appt. time. Appt was at 11:15am. Checked in and was asked to have a seat. Everyone was getting called back before me. Thought maybe cause I was new. Then at 11:30am, I notice I missed a call, message from Jefferson saying that i missed my appt. Im already nervous, lady who didn't check me didn't even admit her mistake. She didn't apologize or anything. It was someone else who fixed it. I didnt get checked in until one hour after my appt time. Im giving them the benefit, and waiting to get called to the back. We will see how long that takes. ** Changed to 5 star for the dentist and his assistant. Once I hit the back the customer service from everyone that I encountered was five star. The dentist that I got was amazing he was able to explain everything and even fixed my main concern which was my front two teeth. He was concerned for me, shared tips and even shared his personal experiences relating to our shared diabetes. I'm so pleased with the care in the back that I plan to schedule all my rest of my dental care there. They printed out a treatment plan and I will schedule for my next appointment next week and then for a deep cleaning. I don't want to go with different dentists and I know that they do have different ones there I plan to stick with this one.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rakhee Chawla and her team have been absolutely wonderful, I can't tell you the level of frustration, disappointment and unnecessary pain I had prior to going here. Her extremely friendly and caring staff are also a huge reason why I will be long-time patient to say the least. I highly recommend Dr. Chawla if you want a dentist that knows what she is doing, cares about meeting your needs and addressing any concerns you may have and is highly professional yet very friendly and warm. Negative experience: I had my dental procedure done in February 2025, which was for a deep cleaning and a few cavities being removed and fillings. Since the procedure, I have been in severe pain and discomfort with my upper right canine tooth, and just recently, in March, after visiting regarding this pain, I woke up the next day with severe pain and swelling in my left tonsil. The dentist did not give me antibiotics before or after the dental work. I feel this is important because I have undergone major surgery on my right hip being replaced back in 2014, due to it being military-related. I am a veteran and have sought assistance at the VA, where they prescribed me ibuprofen and amoxicillin for pain and infection. Before I visited Jefferson Dental in February I was completely fine and without any pain or discomfort. I feel that I got an infection in my upper right canine tooth due to the deep cleaning leaving a deep pocket in my canine, which the dentist admitted to and the fillings being poorly done. This infection has now caused severe pain in my left tonsil that is unbearable. I cannot eat; chewing hurts, swallowing hurts, and even talking hurts. The dental clinic doctor and hygienist were very rude and condescending when I tried to express how I felt after the botched procedure. As if they had an arrogance to not want to admit their mistakes. being very dismissive and telling me that it will go away and to give it time, nickel-and-diming me to pay for specialized toothpaste and laser work procedures. I even had the general manager work on my tooth which in hindsight I don't know if she was a dental medical professional. This was due to the doctor not being there the day I walked in to express my concerns with ongoing pain and discomfort. I filled out all medical history information in their charts before any work was done, stating all medications and surgeries I've had in my life. I visited a different dental clinic over a year ago, and before they could start any work, they had told me that due to me having undergone major hip replacement surgery, I needed to take antibiotics they prescribed me before any work could be done. I did not proceed with the treatment because I was only there to inquire where my oral health was at the time, and I was more focused on my wife getting her dental situation taken care of first. I have so many more details I would like to express about my visits to Jefferson Dental regarding remarks and unprofessional conversations that raised several red flags of cause for concern. To summarize, I feel I shouldn't have gotten tonsillitis from a minimally invasive routine deep cleaning and cavity removal and fillings. And it's important to note I have never had any medical records of ever experiencing any pain or tonsillitis in my life. The last time I had a deep cleaning was roughly around 2017-2018, and I did not have any issues at all. Because of their negligence to the deep pocket in my canine tooth and poorly done fillings, I feel some sort of bacteria caused the infection in my tonsils. I highly recommend that anyone stay away from this place and not be manipulated into fear to get any type of work done. I trusted them in good faith because I figured, "Why would a doctor lie? Surely they have my best interest concerning my oral health at heart." But now I realize that I was just some damn quota to be met. I should have gone elsewhere to get a second opinion before ever letting these frauds do any work on me. If there are signs of any permanent damage, this establishment will be facing a lawsuit for malpractice! They are also not accredited by the better business bureau. KEEP AWAY! You have been warned. Follow up: called the number they posted for their so called “concern,” and it’s a number not even in service. What a joke.

Negative experience: Dentist here is damaging tooth in order to you come back and pay more I did a Corona treatment and she broke and drill another tooth in a different area. I came back and she denied everything I took pictures of my teeth before she work on my teeth and she did mess my treatment it’s been three week and no management contact me to concern about it I pay $3000 dlrs. I went to a different clinic to take care and end my treatment definitely best option I made. Changes always positive for clients.

Negative experience: After recently moving to the area, I went to this clinic for the first (and only) time. They told me I had 12, yes TWELVE, cavities that needed fixing URGENTLY. They did their best to try and convey the sense of urgency and even expressed that some of cavities were so bad that my teeth risked cracking. This didn't sound right to me as I just went in for a routine check (no symptoms) and my teeth are not prone to cavities. I opted for a second opinion at a private clinic and lo and behold, no cavities, my teeth are in top shape, only some cleaning needed. You walk in and this place sees dollar signs on your teeth. STAY AWAY.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fabulous care! The best an 81 year old has every had. I had a partial made by Dr. Chawla, it fitted better than my original. Your dental assistance, Gyvonne is an absolute treasure for Jafferson Dental. This young man customer care is truly outstanding! Everyone in the office delivers excellent customer service.

Whether it’s general dentistry or orthodontic issues, they’ve got you covered the clerical staff as well as the clinical staff quite everyone is so nice and helpful always! Plus their early or late hours are great if u work or go to school.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Jefferson Dental was fantastic! During the whole time I was there the atmosphere felt great. Ashley did my intake, took my X-rays explained everything to me step by step, and answered all my questions professionally and without hesitation. A young man by the name of Juan was my dental hygienist, he was so good that he didn't hurt my gums at all. When it came to taking care of my 2 fillings doctor Chawla was the best she made it look fast and easy. I will be coming back to take care of my Invisalign treatment Ricky explained everything in depth and even showed me her progress with them. I will be back in 6 months and I will be telling my friends and family about this place.

Negative experience: They are so dishonest. They tried to charge me an hideous amount for a cleaning. After I was told no charge for a cleaning with insuance when making the appointment. When I asked for my ex rays that the insurance paid for. They said they lost them. Of course I was told I needed two crowns that I do not need. I warn you please proceed with caution if you are thinking of using this dental service.

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office!! I travel from Killeen, TX which is 2 hrs away because the customer service and quality of work is just that excellent! The staff is great, very clean facility and they know what they are doing. They offer affordable payment plans that will help shoulder the burden of dental work with out hitting you too hard in the wallet. Negative experience: Worst place ever! Don’t waste your money or time at this place. I went on Monday to get a procedure done, and the “Dentist” Dr. Abha and his assistant Armando they seemed to not even know what they were doing! They kept dropping the tools – instruments on the floor, I wouldn’t be surprised if they use this tools in my mouth. The “Dentist” cut the skin from the side of my mouth with one of the tools, he poked the side of my face with the scaling tool and on several occasions I had to grab and pull the assistant’s hand for him to take the suction tube out of my mouth because he continuously kept shoving it down my throat while hurting my palate. Needless to say this was a horrible and painful experience! They did not even complete the procedure correctly. I mentioned to them that I would have to come back for them to fix my tooth. I went back in today Wednesday, I was willing to give them another chance and was hoping to get the procedure completed by Doctor Chawla the Main Dentist. Once I explained to her why I was there she wouldn’t get involved since she had not started the treatment. While there I spoke to the regional manager explained the situation, at this point she offered me a refund. She stated she will call me back with the amount and unfortunately I got just part of it.

Fantastic experience: I had a lot of things to fix and not a lot of money. Also, I am a very nervous person with anxiety about the dentist. So coming here was not easy for me in fact I had to reschedule because I was so panicked. But once I got in the chair, my worries started to go away. The staff here are very nice and gentle, and they worked with me on the payment. All that worrying for nothing! I just had my third appointment, and I now have a brand new tooth! I was also nervous about getting my crown put on (I thought it would be painful). Ximena was so sweet and gentle and I felt no pain. The dentist is very nice - they don't want you to feel any pain, trust me. Otherwise who would write a good review?! This whole process was easy and comfortable. If you are putting off going to the dentist for any reason, just come to this one and check it out. It is only $29 for the first appointment (including xrays and a consultation of what you need done). Thank you to everyone at Jefferson Dental Plano! P.s. They have nitrous oxide which helped a ton :) Highly recommend it if you have $100, so worth it.

Fantastic experience: They were super nice and understanding of my situation. I had a horrible experience prior and well I was overwhelmed. I appreciate Dr. Chawla and look forward to the next step in giving me back my smile.

Negative experience: They care about your money, not about your teeth. I had to spend 4 hours in the office on my first visit because they never actually scheduled my appointment when i called to set it up. Most of the time was spent with a salesperson bothering me to sign up for a credit card or Invisalign. Even when I told the dentists I didn't want anything that wasn't covered by my insurance they kept adding it back onto the treatment plan, and even went through with one of the treatments after I'd told them I didn't want it.

Negative experience: I had a bridge done for thousands of dollars 4 yrs ago for my front teeth a the plano office. My bridge came out so I went in to get it glued back in. I was able to fit it back in but they would not re glue it. All they did was try to sell me services. I begged for them to do this being I just had intense surgery and did not have any money for more services. They said no not even for my dignity they wouldn't even try. Don't go here if you need caring individuals to help you from dentist to office manager they didn't care about me or dignity at all.

Negative experience: Ordered retainer fur my teeth and paid for almost three months ago - I am grinding my teeth and that irritates my gum and start to bleed - not planning to utilize their service anymore - I have insurance but everyone I go there I end up paying whole lot more than I should for no reason. The odd part is even when they respond to your review, they use the statement that they are concerned and need to reach out to their office instead customizing the respond to address the specific issue.

Fantastic experience: I went to Jefferson Dental Clinic on Friday, November 29, 2019. I was greeted by wonderful staff that made me feel so welcomed. Ana went over the costs, step by step with me. and my cost was exactly what she said it would be. Dr. Gill took care of my dental needs and I have to say that she was very caring and was concerned with my well being and whether I was in pain (I had no pain at all). I had interactions with several staff; Ana, Dr. Gill, Candi, Elaina and Yessenia (I hope I didn't leave anyone out). The staff are above and beyond amazing. I would highly recommend Jefferson Dental and I will definitely be going back for any future dental needs. 10/13/2023 - I visited Jefferson Dental today for x-rays and cleaning. The staff are awesome and always make you feel very comfortable. They take the time to explain everything to you and take really good care of their patients. Dr. Chawla is the best Dentist, and really cares about her patients. I saw another dentist today because she was off and the replacement was just as caring and explained everything she was doing in great detail. I would highly recommend Jefferson Dental. 7/17/2024 - had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. The young lady that cleaned my teeth was awesome. She really cares about her patients, and is really great at what she does.

Positive experience: After a mix up with the call center and scheduling we had difficulty walking in but they were helpful and patient although I was angry about my daughter being scheduled for something we didn"t need. The reason I chose this Orthodontist office is because she explained everything to me and my husband same stands Luis was awesome with my daughter who was extremely anxious. He was super nice and helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: I went to Jefferson Dental in Plano and they were very nice with me. Afrah took care of my teeth, she did a great job explaining everything to me and being very gentle as well. I have been in different dentists but I'll keep going with Afrah for sure.

Fantastic experience: For the first time I'm looking forward to visit the dentist, the way they treat you is quite amazing Dr.velicu was so professional, the part I enjoy was when she explained what she was doin and why did my teeth needed that. Afrah the hygienist was amazing she gave me some advice on how to prevent gum disease and the proper way to brush my teeth I love the way she makes you feel like you're part of her family . Luis the Dental assistan was so kind he treated me like one of his friends, it was weird but at the same time it make me trust him, it's weird to trust in someone without knowing him yet he was definitely trust worthy, the professionalism that all of the employees have seems almost impossible yet they have it at this location. Fantastic experience: I will never visit any other clinic! I have probably the highest anxiety when it comes to the dentist so when I was told I had 2 cavities that needed filling I was terrified. I visited Dr Kaur and Afrah and had a fantastic experience. I told them about my fearfulness and they were so kind throughout the process. Making sure I was comfortable every step of the way and ensuring I was pain free. They listened to all of my concerns and questions with full attention. I have not gotten this kind of treatment anywhere else. You can tell they love their patients and what they do! Will be visiting again!

Fantastic experience: My hygienist, Afrah is amazing! She’s been helping me this past year and always gives me great tips to continue working on my teeth. I truly appreciate her! She’s also very caring for her patients! Everyone in this location is very friendly and helpful as well!

Negative experience: I was there forever . I was in pain after few days after . Gave the wrong prescription to me, they aren’t the best answering the calls and they definitely do not return your calls. Dr was rude to associates. Never go back ! Time for a new dentist

Negative experience: Horrible clinic. Signed up for Invisilign then changed my mind and cancelled the same day. It’s been a month and a half and still have not received my refund for deposit. Additionally they signed me up for the invisilign payment plan even though I cancelled it! So they are billing for services not agreed upon and they are not communicating with me on the fact that I have cancelled all these and I’m owed a refund. Have reached out multiple times with them stating they will do it. They keep routing me to different departments as a way to escape responsibility. Called multiple times only to be led to voicemail or 3 different departments having to explain myself over and over again.. Personnel told me they would send a high alert email for refund and someone would call me the same day. Never received a call. Fraud for billing services not provided. Extremely unprofessional and fraudulent customer service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY.

Negative experience: The original cleaning was not bad but after convincing me that I needed ortho work and teeth pulled, I entered in agreement which turned out to be a nightmare in the least. My first visit was canceled by the office and never rescheduled. I tried calling multiple times which resulted being placed on hold for 20 minutes and eventually sent to voice-mail on several different occasions. On one occasion the front desk refused to let me speak to anyone because the office was going to close for lunch in 10-15 minutes. This place has turned into a major waste of my time and money. They got me to enter a treatment plan, billed me for the services in advance and then treated me like garbage. No services have been completed and I am not letting them operate on me after their horrible customer service. Now they expect me to pay a cancelation fee. This is by far the worse experience ever. I would not recommend going to this place or any other place associated with it.

Fantastic experience: They have an amazing staff. The young man named Gyvonne is wonderful. He provides excellent patient care. My exams were fantastic and made me feel comfortable. The doctor was very patient and did a great job examining my mouth. I highly recommend this clinic. Thank you, Gyvonne, for your wonderful care."

Positive experience: Excellent Dental Hygenist but it takes FOREVER Afrah is fantastic and so thorough, explains everything she's doing but it takes so dang long to get in and out of this place. I went in twice for routine cleanings and each time I was there for over 2 hours. A lot of waiting in the chair. Idk if they're short staffed or over scheduled but it's not a great option for a middle of the work day cleaning and quick exam.

Fantastic experience: Everybody is very nice and helpful they always are …. sometimes we have to wait but it’s worth it . My daughter got her braces done by Dr.V she is great in all aspects, she always explains what she is going to do . Very happy with her and the team there from dental assistants to checking , financial services to appointment settings.

Fantastic experience: Our dental hygienist, Afrah was super friendly and worked so quick! My daughter was nervous, but Miss Afrah assured her that she wasn't going to hurt her. She walked her through what she was going to do and checked on her multiple times throughout our visit. I'm so grateful I found this office and my daughter loves the whole team here! The front desk is absolutely above and beyond amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful visit each time!

Fantastic experience: Staff was really polite professional good dentist! Doctor chawla talked me through and made sure i was all numb and comfortable before anything really professional also the dentist assistant helped me so much distracted me with taps never experienced but it definitely worked best dentist experience i have ever had and i had bone graft and two extractios thank u so much will definitely be back

Negative experience: Their manager Nancy doesn’t care about patients who wasn’t satisfied with treatment they got. She promised to file a refund for poor work done for me but never did anything! I came with my concerns a few times to the office but they repeatedly refused to help. Nothing was done since November 2023! They won’t advocate for patients. They do not care. Also, if you call number they provide you will be told that they don’t know anything and cannot transfer my call directly to the office! This number worth noting!
