Fantastic experience: Staff was so friendly not just to me but to each other which created a very pleasant atmosphere. Worth the wait to see these guys!

Fantastic experience: We need more places like this in the world! I appreciate their cancellation list! After their old dentist retired my kids were waiting over a year to see a new dentist but we're able to get in so quickly because of the cancellation policy. MAKE SURE TO CONFIRM YOUR APPOINTMENT. When it's a service EVERYONE needs it's not too much to ask! They have a great team, very nice and informative. Definitely worth the wait! My kids ages range from 8 to 14 and they were perfect with all of them And delt with my younger son's ADHD perfectly. Appointments always feel quick and thorough!

Fantastic experience: I disclosed during my appointment having ptsd and also pots (which makes you faint). Dr Boss and the woman who helped him (I forgot her name I’m sorry) were absolutely amazing during my appointment to fill 2 cavities. They asked me what parts of the procedure were triggering to be aware of. They also checked in with me at multiple points, offered to hold my hand, didn’t make me crying a big deal, tried to district me and let me know if needed I could be referred to somewhere I could be offered nitrous. Not to mention the office staff are always sweet and my regular hygienist! Great team here! (:

Fantastic experience: Today's appointment to clean my Dad's teeth was a wonderful experience for my Dad and me. The friendliness of the front desk staff and Cat, the dental hygienist, was a five-star experience. The professionalism was second to none! Thank you.

Negative experience: They have cancelled half of the appointments I have had with them last minute. I work a late shift and typically sleep during the day, well they sent an appointment confirmation text after I'd gone to bed and canceled my reservation before I got up for work. I had a filling fall out, and it took them a year to get me in to look at it. The dentist and the dental assistances were all nice and professional, but the place is run like they couldn't care less about patients. I got married earlier this year, and had to switch my insurance. In that time, I got a tooth infection (Likely because they canceled my last appointment last second, and scheduled my next one 6 months out) and they wouldn't see me without me paying day of. They do not care about you, they care about milking you for your insurance. If no one else in Mt. Pleasant will accept your insurance, do yourself a favor and drive to a different city. Edit: Asking me to reach out to them is a meaningless gesture to mitigate the fallout from a negative review. They have my contact information and could call me at any time to apologize. I’ll hold my breath.

Negative experience: Not happy with the work that was done on my dentures that had to make the mold twice The teeth are still not right they hurt my mouth they're too small and I was told by the dentist that I need to loosen my lips because my lips is too stiff.Had my dentures now for a while cannot wear them they're super small you can't even see I have teeth in my mouth. I am going to get a lot of other people on here that has problems with their teeth not being right or made right and go to Medicaid main office to get something done. Like to file a complaint against the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience during my visit. There was barely any wait time—maybe 10 minutes at most, which I really appreciated. The staff was friendly and professional, and every question I had was answered clearly. I also liked that everything being done was explained as it happened, so I always felt informed and at ease. Overall, it was a smooth and reassuring visit. Definitely a place I’d recommend!

Negative experience: If you happen to not pick up the phone and confirm your appointment a week before you’re scheduled to come in, they will cancel it and book someone else. Absolutely ridiculous.

Negative experience: Update: they won’t schedule me because I left a 3-star review and told the honest truth about the cleaning I received. So now I understand all the positive reviews of this place—-say anything negative and you’re blackballed!!! Original review: The dentist I saw was fine. He fixed my broke tooth with a filling and it cost $200 or so. I figured he’d have to do a crown so I was happy. The hygienist I saw today however was not good. She wielded that pick with very little care and my cleaning was all of ten minutes long! I have never in my life had a ten-minute cleaning!!

Negative experience: Referred my son to an oral surgeon 2 hours away, spent $500 for gas, hotel, food only to be told that they referred us to the wrong place. Said my son was uncooperative in a dental office setting even though he followed direction, didn't cry or fuss. They basically are negligent and refused to treat my son and sent us to a place he didnt need to be seen at. All he needed was a regular dentist. Do not waste your time on this place!! Not only that the dental hygienist made me feel like a horrible parent of how much work he needed. Completely unprofessional!!

They really did some bad work on my teeth and My community dental is doing an amazing job getting my teeth right and Kelly is just simply amazing there. She really rocks!!! Positive experience: Wonderful friendly staff! A decent experience! The new dentist wasn't super friendly and the being booked out a year is a huge pain. They recently switched to a text service for signing up for a new appt while being on the cancelation list and it's a huge pain in the butt and extremely hard to get an appt I tried for months responding immediately and every single time it told me "I'm sorry this appointment time has been claimed."

Fantastic experience: They're super nice to me. I have really, really bad teeth and I've never felt judged or talked down to. I tried a non-my community dental clinic that takes Medicaid and they were really rude to me, and even though they could get me into appointments sooner, I chose to wait months to be seen by MCDC.

Negative experience: I got a cleaning here in June and was told that I had six cavities and would need my top left wisdom tooth removed as soon as possible before it started to shift my other teeth. I get the earliest appointment which was in October. I was really anxious about getting the wisdom tooth extracted as i went to oral surgeons for my prior extractions and was put under. I took extra time off of work to prepare for the extraction. I called a week ahead of time to verify what would be covered by my insurance. The office said they would be doing only three fillings and the extraction. I went in this morning and they ended up only doing two of the fillings and no extraction due to their own scheduling constraints. The dentist and hygienist had a totally unprofessional conversation about their own scheduling mistakes while my mouth was pried open and had my jaw unhinged for much longer than necessary. They did not ask if it was okay to reschedule and simply said they did not have the time for the extraction that they said was needed ASAP in June and i would have to come back in December. Very inconsiderate and will be going back to my old dentist.

Fantastic experience: I really am so happy that my kids had this dentist. They really do care about my kids teeth. They even send my son's out to another dentist that will work on all their teeth at once. But the ladies that work here are very very nice and also have an amazing attitudes. I really recommend this dentist to anyone that have children or even if you need a dentist.

Positive experience: I was very happy with my experience here. No wait time. The hygienist was very helpful and did a great job would definitely recommend a friend. The things that I would change is being able to get in for my next appointment sooner. They usually are booked out quite aways I don't go back until again next year my appointment was on the 16th of May 2023. Besides this it was a good experience would definitely go again.

Positive experience: Went nice and smoothly. For me anyway. For the doctor, not so much. He had a time just getting me numb. An hour to get me numb, less than a minute to get them out. Took his time and didn’t openly get annoyed with my anxiety issues. Overall great experience! So far so good!

Fantastic experience: Very peaceful atmosphere and the staff and Dr were amazing I wasn't nervous or shaking like I usually do when I go to the dentist.

Negative experience: They book out over a year and then a month before that appointment they cancel on you, they are never busy but claim they are booked for a year out, also they have posted a gay pride sticker on door saying all welcome, why is this necessary? There's no straight welcome sign or singles welcome sign or married man to woman welcome sign.

Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised with my hygienist, dentist and staff today at My Community Dental Center. All the staff I came into contact with were very helpful and SO friendly! The dentist, Dr. Most, had the perfect combination of professional and friendly. His examination was thorough, but gentle (thank you very much!) and he told me what needed to be done in terms I could understand (again, thank you!). But my hygienist, Max, was just delightful! Like Dr. Most, he had the perfect professional/friendly combination and he explained what he was going to to, and he even took a couple extra X-rays, just to clarify some things. If anyone I know needs a recommendation for a dental team, I'm sending them your way!

Fantastic experience: As always, the staff (as a whole) are super friendly, thoughtful and reliable when it comes to cancellations. They DO call you if a patient cancels when they say they will. Most of the time, appointments start on time and run smoothly. Only place in town that we know of who takes all of the insurance providers.

Hard to find nowadays knows what he's doing explains things well and does work as painlessly as possible. Fantastic experience: I have been going to My Community Dental Center for a few years now and every experience has been really amazing! I'm not even anxious about seeing the dentist anymore.

Negative experience: My son came down with covid on Christmas day 2023 and we had to cancel his appointment last minute. This office would not see him until February of 2025. We found him another dentist that could get him in within the week because he had to wait so long. They were stunned at hearing what had happened at community dental centers. I just called to cancel his appointment. Not only was I not asked why or if I'd like to reschedule, while I was thanking them for assisting me, they hung up on me.

If your new, there is awhile wait for your first appointment, that's the only downfall in my experience. The building is always clean which is great in my opinion! Fantastic experience: I have always found the entire staff at this dental clinic a delight. After a bad experience from childhood, I used to dread going to the dentist, even when going for a cleaning! But the dentists and dental techs are highly skilled, patient and professional. I have never had anything but a good experience at this clinic, plus I am almost cured of my fear of going to the dentist!

Negative experience: I have not actually been here myself, but I have heard from sooo many people in my life that say that this is the worst dentist office ever! My father in-law came here for a surgery, it started bleeding after he got home, and they said they couldn't see him for 3 months to check and see what was going on. They didn't understand that it was a dental emergency. He ended up having to go to the Mount Pleasant hospital to get the bleeding under control and then had the surgery "fixed" in 3 months. He was in a lot of pain. Another person I know said that she came here for a cleaning, but she left with so much pain. I couldn't find a dentist that accepted my insurance, but I chose to go nowhere over here because of the stories I have heard. When I would ask dentist offices around if they accepted my insurance, they would say "no, but try here" and I would tell them the stories of why I didn't want to go here. Then they would tell me that it is because they try to put in 2-4 patients per hour instead of 1-2 patients per hour because Medicaid doesn't pay as much, so they need to get in more customers at a time to make the same amount of money. Most offices don't accept the insurance because they don't want to give up their standards. I did finally find a dentist that accepts Medicaid that is really good. Dr. Schluckleber in Ithaca. I recommend him over this office.

Fantastic experience: This is my first time in this office, and I didn't have to wait long at all. The staff was very friendly and got me in and out in no time at all. I am having problems with my teeth and dentures, not fitting right . I am so blessed that I can get the remaining teeth out and onto a beautiful white smile if it's covered by my insurance . The dentist was very friendly as well, and I felt positive and made me feel like everything will be OK when he was done explaining what will take place. Right now, I'm not happy with my smile, but I can't wait to see the new me. ☺️

Negative experience: Of 2 fillings I had last year, 1 has already fell out and the other is falling out. They cannot get me in to fix their mistake till May. The staff is nice though.

Fantastic experience: Great place, my Dentist was Dr Boss. They are very caring and professional at what they do. I was very impressed, I'm so happy I found them at Isabella Co Community dental Center. I went to oral surgeon Dr Poupard in Midland Mi and has office in Mt . Pleasant. He told me I was stage 4 cancer in my right lower jaw. He saved my life and he's my hero. He got me into U of M oral surgery fast. Dr Boss is going to set me up to get teeth. I can't wait for my next appointment. They are amazing. Everyone at this dental center are great people

I've previously had a horrible experience at this office about 5 years ago. Made me never want to come back, I gave them another choice and PAM IS AMAZING and kind!!! Very understanding and is the reason I will come back! Thank you Pam!!!

Negative experience: I'm downgrading because this place actually sucks as a dentist office, my appointments for a teeth cleaning were rescheduled for at least a year until they finally got me in last August. Dentist cuts my gums with her tool and (I'm not kidding or joking with this) says you're bleeding because you don't floss. I have 5 cavities apparently but they can't get 3 them filled till January of next year and the other 2 until August of next year.

Negative experience: Do not bother going here for emergency services if you are not already a patient. They will not see you and will turn you away at the door. Again, you must BE an existing Patient there in order to take advantage of the emergency services that they offer. When you call and ask to be scheduled, they cannot get you in for a cleaning for at least a year. Good luck if you're having tooth troubles because they don't care.

Negative experience: I finally was able to fire this office as my dentist today after a year of searching for a new dentist. I would give this office no stars if possible due to the declining quality in care and lack of organization and poor attitudes of the reception staff. I haven't been able to be seen by a dentist here for nearly two years due to my appointment being rescheduled. The first time was a hygienist no longer working there and needing to reschedule my cleaning appointment. I wasn't happy to wait another five months, but I was doing okay at that time. The second time I was rescheduled was due to an insurance issue and a name change due to my getting married. If it was due to a known issue and my lack of solving it, I wouldn't be as angry. However, I wasn't aware of this issue until a receptionist called me two days before my appointment which was scheduled for right after Christmas informing me "as a courtesy" that I would be unable to be seen due to a name discrepancy with an insurance plan I am no longer on or using, and that they refused to remove that insurance from their system. This "courtesy" call came two hours before everything closed for the holiday, which left me no reasonable way to make any changes in time. The receptionist was so unsympathetic and rude about it and I ended up being rescheduled for almost a YEAR later. After letting them know I have a broken tooth and a cracked filling, as well as a filling that is failing there was apparently not an available cancellation list that I could get onto and I was told they don't have a call or cancellation list (even though I have been on a list like this with them before). I also asked about what I should do in an emergency, and if I could come in as a cash patient or just wait to be seen and was told by the receptionist that I was not allowed to be seen under any circumstances until I had "corrected my oversight that had caused an inconvenience for the office." This is just one of the many issues with this office. I've also had a hygienist do a poor job with a filling which resulted in her building in a food trap when shaping my filling and just telling me to keep it clean because I was a late afternoon appointment and she "just wanted to go home." Thank goodness that filling is still intact, but it's not fun having to constantly pull chewed food out of there, and I'm worried about what the lack of support for my tooth structure in that area could do or what damage could be caused long term. Additionally, when I've had to have fillings replaced, so much of my teeth have been drilled away and filled on the top jaw that I'm now at the point where it's almost all metal, and if a filling crack or fails I'm left with the option of a root canal/crown or pulling the tooth altogether. At only 28 years old, that doesn't leave me feeling very confident about my teeth, or good about myself at all. I don't know if this was drilled so heavily on purpose, or if it's yet another attempt at a money grab, but it's not okay. Most of the drilling happened while I was on public assistance insurance. I have also noticed a difference in how I am treated now that I am on private insurance from when I was on public insurance, and that's not okay to treat someone differently because of who they have as an insurance provider. The private insurance patients tend to get the better treatment and kinder conversations, and that's disgusting. All patients deserve the same excellent quality of care regardless. This office has definitely lost the plot and needs to figure it out. I have never had a great experience with any dentist in my life, and I'm leaving for another dentist's office to try to find someone that isn't out for a quick payout with shoddy work, and I have no trust left in this profession, so that's going to be a tall order. Oh, and the kicker.....My last name is still my maiden name in the system, they refuse to change it, and had to look me up with that old name when I called them. I am so glad I fired them today. Keep yourself and anyone you care about far away from this office.

Fantastic experience: I used to hate going to the dentist. Not anymore. Everyone at My Community Dental has been so kind and considerate and they do their job very well also. I really appreciate being able to go there to get my teeth cleaned/fixed. Thank you! :)

Fantastic experience: I came in as an emergency. I had a tooth that was loose and extremely painful. They were able to work me into the schedule and the staff was very patient and informative. Very friendly, understanding and professional.

Positive experience: I had my first appointment as a new patient. Quick and friendly service provided by the staff. The dental hygienists and doctor were professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Modern technology and equipment was impressive and beneficial to proper treatment. New patients can expect a decent wait for a available appointment, but they strive to get you in as quick as possible. So far, I highly recommend this facility

Fantastic experience: I took my Dad to get Xrays for a upcoming Heart surgery to make sure he doesn't have any infections , They really didn't have any openings, But they pushed him through so he could move forward with the Heart Surgery! The entire staff was Extremely helpful and helpful as well as a treating dad very well! Thank You All.

Fantastic experience: They got me in as soon as they could, even w my phone not wanting to ring for idk what reason. The hygienist made me laugh via puns, made a ref involving my name that I unfortunately didn't get (wish I did, sry I couldn't doc), and everyone who helped me get the cleanin' my teeth needed are so very nice. It didn't feel like a bad space, and they weren't mean abt my teeth. I try very hard to make myself tend to them, but sometimes I just..... can't manage it. They weren't mean at all, almost cried cuz niceness, good humor, and such patience. Still don't like opening my mouth so wide, but that's just a mouth width comfort zone thing on my part.
