South Dental at Kendall

Negative experience: I have visited four times to get dental work and the organization of the office is subpar. Every time I have been given an appointment I show up for the appointment and am informed that the dentist needs a minimum of 2 hours regardless of work being down. So therefore she cannot attend to me and another appointment is given. I come in again and the same thing. I have never had this happen four times and all that can be said is sorry my bad. Stay clear of the hassle find another place.

Fantastic experience: I am so very pleased with the care and attention I received at this South Dental location. I went in for a straight forward cleaning. From the time I arrived the staff was friendly and I was seen promptly as I was finishing up my paperwork. My hygienist was Juan Carlo and he was friendly and thorough, explaining throughout the cleaning the best way to care for my teeth. I learned things I had not learned before! As soon as he was finished with my cleaning, Dr. Barbeito came by to examine my teeth. She was very thorough and honest! I knew my teeth were very well cared for and that’s exactly what she informed me. Overall great experience and I will definitely be returning for future dental care and treatments, as well as referring this location and dentist to my family. Thank you South Dental Kendall!

It was my first time getting a cleaning where my teeth actually felt and looked super clean afterward — I could really tell the difference! Everyone made me feel comfortable and taken care of. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality dental care with a welcoming atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: Starting that they were able to fit me in into their same day schedule was a Blessing! Moreover, the front desk staff, techs, dental hygienist (Angelica, the lady w the magical hands) and the doctor were amazing, professional, and cordial. I love coming to this office!

Negative experience: They don’t know how to communicate efficiently, little to no knowledge in English, poor customer service skills, do not know how to treat a patient, and they demand you to do a 5 star review before leaving the door and they say “let me see it once it’s done”. Or else they won’t give you the documents you need in order to leave. The doctors and staff are rude and mean. They are not accommodating and extremely unprofessional. If you’re planning on going here, please consider the negative reviews this place is cheap because the people are too. if I can go back in time, I would’ve gone somewhere else I knew this place was fishy from the start.

Negative experience: The 5 star reviews are fake. They force you to give them a good review while they’re staring at you and breathing down your neck. The doctor that did my braces was great, but I moved out of the state and told them I would not be returning. They keep scheduling me monthly without my consent and now threatening to charge $50 for no show fee. Ridiculous

Negative experience: PLEASE READ AND RUNAWAY!!! I have no idea how this place has 5 stars, I have NEVER EVER been to a dentist’s office this horrible. I don’t even write google reviews but my goodness- if I can stop just one person from being treated by these people then I’d sleep better at night. Arriving for my 5 pm appointment, the receptionists were unwelcoming and rushed, making me feel like an inconvenience and clearly just wanting to get me out of the way. The hygienist scolding about my dental history added unnecessary stress, and language barriers with the X-Ray tech (who spoke zero English) during already uncomfortable/nauseating X-rays made the experience even worse. Despite clearly expressing my wisdom tooth pain, I was pushed into a cleaning instead of addressing the issue I came for. The hygienist's insensitive remarks about my spanish language skills further soured the experience, not to mention she somehow felt comfortable enough with me to speak badly about the woman who performed my X-ray. After continuously informing everyone of my pain, receptionists were unhelpful and insisted on another visit, because somehow the dentist had left for the day during my world record breaking fast ‘dental cleaning’. Every single staff member I came across disregarded my pain and told me they were not going to help unless I scheduled another appointment, even though the whole reason I went was for the problem with my wisdom tooth which I informed to EVERYONE. For this dental office and its workers to so vehemently refuse to work with me, or offer any sort of apology or empathy for my situation feels like a slap in the face, and this problem is one I have never in my life experienced from a business, let alone a healthcare provider. I called again hoping to speak to the dentist, where I was informed by rude receptions yet again that I needed to come in. There was absolutely no reason for me to come in again because they had just seen me YESTERDAY! For the exact problem I was describing when the dentist performed an oral exam and had agreed that yeah, there is a huge problem with the tooth in question!! The entire encounter was a huge waste of my time. Everyone from the dentist, to the hygienists, to the receptionists absolutely, horribly, and embarrassingly FAILED at making me feel heard or in trying to help solve my problem. I will forever warn everyone I come across to stay well away from this place. These people’s insufferable attitude and negligence directly lead to unnecessary pain that should have been treated when I came in. End of story. Do not come here unless you’d like to witness the horror show yourself.

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough good things about this place! If you are like me that has been scared to go to the dentist for years, this is the place to go. Everyone from the front desk, to the dental hygienist was so incredibly kind and patient and then there is the Doctor, Dr. Barbeito, incredibly kind and patient and gentle and reassuring, literally cannot say enough wonderful things. So happy that I have found a dentist moving forward. I had gone to a different dentist a week ago that also had really good reviews, however it just didn't feel right to me and I decided to come here instead and I am so happy I did, they cannot even compare. Thank you so much for the great experience!

Usually I hate the dentist but the people hear make it fun and lively enough that I definitely do not dread my appointments. The front desk team always calls to remind me of upcoming appointments, and to schedule months in advance as well. If I need to cancel or reschedule, they gladly change the dates in a moment’s notice. Since I was 5 years old, they made me love coming to the dentist. I’m 23 now, and nothing has changed. For someone who doesn’t like change, seeing these familiar faces every visit makes my day.
