Fantastic experience: The staff there was incredible. They made me feel comfortable, were patient with me, and were honest. I went to another dental office b4 going to Coast Dental. I was quoted 22k for dental work. I went to Coast and after taking x-rays informed me that my teeth were in great condition. My gums are receding and they recommended a deep cleaning to slow down the process. Unless I want cosmetic work my teeth, I was told, were in great overall shape. I've never had a dentist so honest and straightforward in my whole life and that's no lie. I would highly recommend going to them. I will if I have any problems in the future.

Fantastic experience: I came into Coast Dental at the beginning of year with various problems.. I had to get a root canal, and several other fillings! I have 2 more teeth left to be pulled and then my teeth will be as good as new.. I am so grateful for everyone in this office but also the dentist made it a comfortable, basically painless process. He helped me feel better about how he could fix my teeth because I was definitely in the state of mind that they were all ruined. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs any type of tooth work done. I was terrified to go back I have not seen a dentist in over 15 years. Very grateful! Thank you so much Coast Dental!

Fantastic experience: The office staff are ver friendly almost like family. They really care about their patients, the hygienist goes far and beyond to make sure your mouth teeth and gyms are as clean and healthy as possible. She gives me instructions on how to care for my teeth and because she cares so much I do exactly as she instructions me to do. I have been going to this office for many years.i had bridge placed in my mouth several years ago and it's still in place and healthy. The Dentist may be funny he likes to joke but he is highly skilled .you can trust your Dental care in hands. And if you need it you can get help with financing.

Fantastic experience: I was in the office when a customer came in and was 20 min late. The office manager was very polite to this woman and tryed to explain to her that she could have one of her child seen but the other one would have to be rescheduled. The woman became very beligerent to the staff and somehow thought her race was an issue it clearly was not but if you play the race card you better be sure there were a lot of people in the office and no one was dingled out. I have been seeing dr scott horowitz for sbout 10 yrs and he is thd very best around and his staff is and has always been professional.

She is extremely detailed when it comes to the cleaning of your teeth. She leaves nothing behind. Even when doing a deep cleaning. Negative experience: I’m deeply disappointed by the experience we had at this office. We arrived 20 minutes late for our appointments—one for 10:00 AM and one for 11:00 AM. I understand we were late, and I fully expected to discuss our options. However, the moment I walked in, the front desk manager greeted us with a dismissive “yep” and immediately told me we were 20 minutes late, without even asking for our names or attempting to understand the situation. She informed me they would only see one of my children and that I’d have to come back another time for the other. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was upsetting. After being treated that way right as we walked in, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving either of my children in that office’s care. I politely declined the appointment and made the decision not to return. What made this experience even more disheartening was the feeling that we were being treated differently. As a Latina woman with mixed-race children, the tone and attitude we were met with felt pointed and unwelcoming. It’s heartbreaking that my kids had to witness and feel that kind of treatment at such a young age. We expected care and kindness—instead, we left feeling judged and dismissed.

Negative experience: Terrible communication. Spoke to the Manager when I received a bill for a balance. Found out my claims hadn't even been processed yet and they are sending me a bill. The office didn't have a clue about my insurance. They changed the amount several times, added optional items they didn't tell me were optional, and then send PAST DUE notice to me when I asked for a itemized bill once my claims were finalized, never got it. My claims probably still aren't finalized yet they are still sending me a statement for a balance I may or may not owe. Stay away.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was awesome. They made me feel relaxed. Reassuring I would be fine. I felt comfortable. Dentist was nice and communicated with me. No pain. Helped me to breath when I had gag reflects. With a asma and breathing I was having problems. They didn't make me feel embarrassed about it. Other family members go there. Everyone at my daughter's workplace goes there. Highly recommend them. They even found a problem I didn't know exsisting with insurance. Thanks to them I fixed it.. thanks to everyone

Negative experience: Customer service is the worst I have experienced. I have always had great healthy teeth. The dental hygienists were always good for the years I've been having my teeth cleaned here. But over two years since Dr. Horowitz extracted my back tooth and left a gaping hole that collects food and must have raw nerve exposed considering the pain and swelling on the entire right side of my face since. He has been totally unconcerned every time I returned requesting a stitch or anything to help, told me the hole is not that big. Went back for a cleaning in April 2025 and had wonderful, knowledgeable and professional hygienist and tele dentist this time. But office staff are still insufferable and my swollen mouth still hurts. I could hear them screeching insults at customers and dental staff most of the time I was there. Earlier in April I tried the Hudson Coast. Only 3 of us there for the over 2 hour wait and again the office staff were rude and totally unhelpful. One gentleman was there same as me from poor treatment at Port Richey Coast, the other was there similar trying to get a cleaning and very unhappy. After 2 hours I was told I would be charged for the free cleaning my insurance provides so I left. She had the two men cowering in fear from her threats. It was unacceptable on any level.

Negative experience: Disrespectful and unprofessional ism tied of LISA‼️‼️i never went to a dentist where someone very RUDE. also she hung the phone up on me. every time you go, there is a different price when I came in there I didn’t owe them any money. she had the audacity to send me a text that I owe them money and what the balance was to pay. I have private insurance and always have since the day I was born I will not have anyone talk to me in a disrespectful manner at the age of 63 I don’t know how she still has a job. I went there one time she upset me so much. I was crying in the bathroom. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and disgraceful

Negative experience: Staff is rude. I made an appointment and confirmed multiple times through email and text message, they cancelled my appointment without notifying me. I decided to give them another chance and rescheduled another appointment with them a few months later, once again confirming my appointment via text message and online. They called me with a different appointment time and I was told the appointment time I scheduled a week prior they would not accommodate me and scheduled someone else overbooking my appointment. They definitely do not prioritize customer service. Will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: The person at the front desk was nice and thorough in helping me to get what I needed and to know. The person who took me to the back was talkative and answered my questions. The person who cleaned my teeth was gentle, told me what to expect before every step, gave me short rest periods. She was professional (as well as every person I dealt with. She told me what to do at home for the next months and she wanted me to see me in four months.

Well, my visit today was great, my dentist was kind, patient and gentle! She recommended many care routines without judment and made me feel comfortable! I got no pain and was able to eat about 40 mins after my appointment. I have another appointment next Tuesday and now Im excited!

Fantastic experience: Been going to this office for several years now and am very pleased with the service I receive there. The front desk is always pleasant, greeting me by name, Betty gets my teeth looking their best everytime and Dr Horovitz is pleasant with a good sense of humor and painless, quick extractions. Got 2 wisdoms pulled and a molar today and there was no pain with the injections or pulls. Dr Horovitz made this so easy, I didn't even realize he had the teeth out!

Fantastic experience: I went to Coast not having insurance and I had a tooth that was killing me. It turned out to be a tooth that had a root canal procedure done on it 10 years ago and the tooth could not be saved. I was initially prescribed medicine to get the infection and pain under control, and a week later Coast extracted the bad tooth at a very fair price.

Negative experience: They need to take care of their customers in the lobby better. The tv doesn’t work. Need to glass off office to shut off conversation from waiting customers. They are too loud.

Negative experience: It feels like they have so many clients that they are itching to drop your appointment. I took time off work to show up to my appointment as a new patient with some tooth pain, just to be told my appointment was dropped because I didn't confirm in time. They send a text asking you to confirm, but DO NOT warn you that you NEED to. They also left a voicemail, and did not warn me in that either. So by the time I got a chance to call back about the confirmation, they were closed. If they had warned me it was so urgent, I could have had a chance to save the appointment even though I was working at the time. Second incident-- My cleaning appointment was the most painful dental experience in all my 31 years. This man had such a HEAVY hand, even the buffering of my treth hurt (I didn't expect that), it made me want to never go the the dentist again (was convinced I didn't need teeth that bad if it meant having to go to the dentist). I know it usually hurts, but this was aggressive. Third incident-- They called two days before my next appointment threatening to drop it if I didn't confirm by 3pm that day. This is more than 24hrs before the appointment (per their policy), and I was getting pressured to decide and told about the other ppl who are waiting in line for this. I decided I didn't want any more trauma so I am never going back there.

Negative experience: I wish I could give a better review, because the dentist was great, and the hygienist we had the first time were lovely. It’s been nothing but a disaster since. I agreed to do sealants on my son’s teeth, being assured that insurance approved them and they were fully covered. Turns out they weren’t, and I received a bill for over $100, but it was nearly impossible to get ahold of them to find out what was going on. I ended up having to pay it because they had misrepresented the situation with the insurance. Then, a nearly $100 bill showed up months later, well after I had confirmed that we had no balance, for services we never even received. It took forever to get them to talk to me, and it was finally only resolved when I told them I refused to scheduled with them until they took care of it. Turns out it was “accidentally” billed to the wrong account. Fast forward to finally rescheduling. Never saw a dentist for my cleaning. The price list they tried to have me sign included $30 topical anesthesia. For a basic cleaning. Never, in my life, have I had a cleaning so rough that I needed to be numbed. I refused, and did experience pain when the hygienist was not careful. My mouth was sore for approximately 3 days after, though my teeth had been in excellent condition and needed a very minimal cleaning. Also, the last time my partner was there, their tool was malfunctioning and they burnt his lip. The final straw was today when, after I had discussed his appointment when I was in last week, I received a call informing me that they had overbooked my son’s appointment and couldn’t see him Monday. An appointment I had scheduled his orthodontist appointment around. I am done dealing with this office’s incompetence. I hope the good dentist finds a better office, because we will definitely not be returning, and I wouldn’t suggest this to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My first visit was a few days ago. The first dentist I've been to in a very long time. I need a lot of work done. They went over what insurance covers, what I'll owe out of pocket, pre approved me for a payment plan and were able to schedule me 5 days later to get started. I'm looking forward to being able to smile again and from my first visit experience I have faith I'll be pleased. Pictures from my first visit and my latest visit only about a month apart.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist in over 30 years. Went today and I’ve never felt more welcome anywhere. They were so nice and not judgmental. Dr Horovitz was great as was everyone else. They did an extraction for me today and I already booked my next appointment Thank you for treating me like a person and not judging me.

Fantastic experience: First of all, not all Coast Dentals are the same. However, Coast Dental of New Port Richey exceeded my expectations compared to the Springhill office. Thanks to Hygienist, Francys Carache Quintanilla who administered state-of-art procedures including providing a documented breakdown of the amount they charge, the amount the insurance pays, and the amount I spend with options to strike off certain parts. I only went in for a regular basic cleaning, but after she viewed my x-rays and consulted with doctors she recommended periodontal maintenance. She told me that before getting the doctors involved. I had periodontal surgery with implants appx 7 years ago and never received the type of procedure she performed. I was only getting regular cleanings, but from the beginning to the end of this process I could tell this was something special. She informed me that it was protocol in my case. In any event, I am extremely appreciative of the unique manner Coast Dental of Port Richey operates including the front office's pleasant check-in and check-out. I highly recommend this particular Coast Dental, even if you must travel out of your zip code. Thanks again.
