Your missing the boat NOT having SHD as ur personal or family dentistry go to. Waaaaaaay good decision on my part. Even got me in on an emergency same day.....

Fantastic experience: Sycamore is the only dental service I've been to that truly cares about dental health and helping people. Every single staff member is kind and reassuring. Their radiographic imaging is the most advanced technology. They put all my anxiety and fears to rest. I went in feeling nervous and came out feeling hopeful and excited about my future smile. Positive experience: Staff are all very pleasant, and they do good work. In the past year or so that I've been going here, I've had a crown made and installed due to a badly broken tooth, another broken tooth rebuilt, and 3 cleanings. I think the hygienist for the most recent cleaning may have been new, as she didn't seem quite as organized and efficient as the others I've had, but she did OK. The only negative issue is their policy of requiring any OOP costs to be paid in full up front before they will even schedule any work to be done. I've never heard of such a policy from any health care provider of any kind before. To me, this seems a little unprofessional, especially as any payment plan they offer charges interest.

Fantastic experience: My son has his wisdom teeth removed. Everyone on staff was friendly and professional. We had a great experience. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Negative experience: Poor admistrative skills and communication. It really felt like this was their first rodeo. Way too many forms that they want filled out multiple times, and the forms contained many poorly worded and ambiguous phrases and questions (e.g. they were upset when I left the parent or guardian signature line blank even though I am the patient and I'm 53 years-old, and they asked me to forge the signature of my post-op caregiver who was not present). I also got multiple unnecessary text messages from them nearly every day for over 2 months, everything from repeated appointment reminders to requests to fill out forms that already had been filled out, signed, and submitted multiple times. I probably received no less than 60 texts in about 2 months, all for a single procedure. Very frustrating, cumbersome experience. I will not be back, and I cannot recommend them in good conscience, just an all around bad experience from an administrative standpoint.

Fantastic experience: I've had two wonderful dentists in my adult life. Dr Phil of Sycamore Hills Dentistry is one of them. Skilled and with a "chairside manner" to be emulated.

Fantastic experience: Falling into the rabbit hole never had been friendlier and productive. From the front of the business is a quaint dental office squished between two of the more aggressive agents antagonizing good tooth health...Dunkin' donuts and Pizza Hut. My mother needed three teeth removed, refitted for dentures, and two fillings. For the last year my mother had two infected teeth leftover from prior dentists, who had passed away just before these teeth were to be addressed. For over a year she was unable to locate a dentist in the Fort Wayne area that performed all the services from cleaning, extractions, dentures, and oral surgeries... until Sycamore Hills Dentistry. Not only were all the services, dentures, and surgeries available here...but they're one the best staffed dentistry in the area. With a surprisingly amazing amount of space they perform all this with a great deal of focus towards the comfort of their patients. With so much ground to cover...so many services...and surgeries, their communication platform seems to be one of their clinic's essential strengths. Using digital radio between staff, dental assistants, and dentists it seems to be leveraged to maximize the patient's experience while at their clinic. My mother expected 2 hours at the dentist and was in and out in a little over 45 minutes. Thank you, Dr. Rorick and your staff, for taking good care of my mother with all of her oral surgeries.

I’m comfortable reporting this is my new dental care home. Another on 5-20-25 and ditto my previous evaluation. 5 stars for excellence in all areas. I’m a satisfied patient.

Dr. Southward made sure I walked out of every appointment during my denture process as happy as I could be. The dentures were well made, the staff is welcoming and friendly, the facility is comfortable and clean!! Great place and will recommend 10/10.

Positive experience: Normally I am 100% satisfied but today was not good. The dentist was great but the hygienist was terrible. I still haven’t been back a terrible headache. She took shortcuts and had no interest in me as a patient. She was rough. My teeth all feel lose. Hopefully I won’t have her again.

Fantastic experience: Not sure where to begin. Dr.Rorick, and his AMAZING staff hit it out of the ballpark with their personalities, procedures, and talents. I was in this morning 5/02/2025 for extractions, and implants. From the initial consultation to the actual procedure Dr. Rorick and his team made me feel very comfortable, and confident in their abilities, and experience. I had consultations with a few other practices for this procedure, and left those offices not feeling confident in their ability to seemlessly perform this procedure. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience! I had to get a root canal, freaked out at first, and they were so patient and kind. I tried again with sedation, and it went fabulously. Later, they were very good about getting my crowns and the bite just right. I felt like my concerns were heard and taken care of. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: 4/10/25. Just perfect! Claudia was my tech and she did a great job from start to finish. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Check in was quick and easy. Cleaning was thorough and excellent. Doc came in and provided clear status of my current condition. Next appointment was scheduled. Check out was fast and easy. Each Room is equipped with flat panel TVs on wall and ceiling so whether you’re sitting up or lying back in the chair, you can catch whatever you pick out on Netflix (Seinfeld for me). Would highly recommend to anyone! First visit. From start to finish everything was great! They take insurance which became a dealbreaker at old dentist. Able to complete all paperwork online in advance of appointment. Very nice waiting and lobby area. Receptionist was happy and friendly. Dental techs were happy, friendly and professional. Doctors are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. All procedure rooms have wall and overhead televisions to watch your favorite Netflix shows. The whole experience was spa-like. I’ll be back and happy to recommend! 3rd visit was just as great. Fast, but thorough. Enjoyed a couple of Seinfeld (via Netflix) episodes on the wall and ceiling mounted flatscreens. Would recommend to anyone. 4th Visit… Excellent. Check-in was fast and friendly. Olivia & Dr Phillips were thorough and friendly during my cleaning and exam. 6 month visit already scheduled and email confirmation prior to leaving the office. Too Easy! 2/28/24. Multiple visits now and couldn’t be happier with my experiences. Check in staff are warm and friendly. Emma, my tech for the last 2 times, has been great. She’s very nice and I enjoy our conversations. Watched a Seinfeld episode during my cleaning on the ceiling mounted TV (always very cool). Doc was great at the end. Check out staff were very nice as well helped to explain what my insurance covers. Looking forward to my next visit! 9/19/24. Another 5 Start Review… Just finished a visit with x-rays, cleaning and polishing. I continue to enjoy coming to Sycamore. Caught an episode of NCIS via Netflix during the procedures - flat panel TVs on the wall and ceiling make for easy viewing. The friendly staff and welcoming environment make the whole experience from start to finish enjoyable. I will continue to recommend Sycamore to friends and family!

Fantastic experience: Hi, my name is Luther, call/s ( MANN ) U.S.M.C., I am a disabled combat veteran, I served two tours, once in the U.S. Army, and then the U.S.M.C., I have Post Combat Trauma ( PTC ) (P.T.S.D.) during my consultation at Sycamore Hills Dentistry, the staff there were very friendly and supportive. I have been all over F.W. going through many consultations at many different dental offices all throughout Fort Wayne just to be disappointed, I am 74yrs old, as you know, life expectancy is not that long. I lost my teeth during the war.l am just one of the veterans who put their lives on the line, some died, just so people in America can go to school and become doctors and lawyers and nurses or whatever they choose to become. We (veterans) are so miserable and misunderstood. There are 22 veterans everyday that commit suicide everyday. I know , if every one was like the people at Sycamore Hills Dentistry, that number would be short. Sycamore Hills Dentistry, has been very supportive and has assured me that they will help me, and that I don’t have anything to worry about . Fantastic experience: This was my consultation visit at Sycamore Hills Dentistry & I couldn’t be more impressed! From the moment I walked through the door everyone was so friendly! Leslie (I sure hope I remembered her name correctly!) took my X-rays, pictures & gave me an overview of how the rest of the visit would go. Along with a little chit chat, I think to ease my anxiety(which she did naturally) Next, I met Bree (who may be my new favorite person) LISTENED to me without an ounce of judgment. Lastly, Dr. Rorick came in & was very mindful of my personal space despite being in a dentist chair & went over my treatment options. He made sure I understood everything that he was explaining. Not once did I feel rushed or just another #. The WHOLE experience was 1st Class! Sycamore Hills Dentistry,without a doubt, will be where all my future dental services will be done. Along with anyone that I can bring with me starting with my Son! (I must add that on my form I filled out that I have anxiety issues along with not being heard plus a plethora of other “problems “ every step of they way each person navigated their interaction with me like a PRO!!! Which, THE ARE…. I’d switch dentist today if I were you!)

Fantastic experience: I have had teeth problems for 20+ years. I've had many consultations through out the years and everything was just so expensive. I went in about a month ago for a consultation and was able to work out a treatment plan that was affordable for me, finally! I am happy to say I went in this morning and left with a mouth full of beautiful teeth! Dr. Rorich is great!

Fantastic experience: I just had the most amazing appointment!!! I explained to my hygienist Emma that my gums had been bleeding. She reviewed my medical history and medications with me and explained how all of that can affect the gums bleeding despite above average homecare. She recommended a laser treatment to help with healing and reduce the bacteria in my gums which I gladly accepted. She used the cavitron, a water instrument to ensure everything was cleaned out properly. We ended with Dr. Southward reviewing my X-rays and ensuring I had no cavities. I also did a fluoride treatment to help maintain stability in my mouth. So thankful for great providers who take the time to review everything going on medically and dentally and ensuring exceptional standards of care!

Fantastic experience: This was the best new patient visit experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. I will be returning! The office was beautiful with lots of space. The hygienist was kind and very gentle when cleaning my teeth and asked questions to ensure she made it the best experience for me. They offered a knee pillow, soft head pillow, and a blanket. They also allowed you to pick a Netflix show of your choosing and had it displayed on the ceiling and wall to watch while they worked, which helped ease my anxiety. The hygienist and dentist also did a great job of explaining the X-rays and findings from their initial new patient evaluation. I would highly recommend this dentist!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely hate going to the dentist. BUT since switching to Sycamore Hills, it has been less of a chore and more tolerable than any other dentist office I've ever been to. It's clean and feels more modern than the dusty old offices I've previously been to. Even the equipment used seems more technologically advanced. No more heavy vest while the tech runs out of the room during x-rays. I really enjoy the option of watching tv while getting the cleaning done, it allows me to completely tune the torture out. Though it can be hard to laugh at Seinfeld reruns with fingers in your mouth. Overall, a great experience! Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Sycamore Hills Dentistry is the best! I hated the dentist as a kid and up until I met Dr. Rorick who did my wisdom teeth extraction. I now go every 6 months for a cleaning because they have the modern technology to make me feel comfortable and take the edge off. My hygienist Mavin is amazing!! Fantastic experience: I went in for my 6 month checkup and cleaning. I have been undergoing cancer treatments for a while that have left me immunocompromised. Sycamore Hills Dentistry called my hematologist/oncologist to get his advice on what cleaning procedures are appropriate for me. I appreciate that.

Fantastic experience: My daughter gets major anxiety when attending the dentist. She is 7 and has only allowed the hygienist to count her teeth in the past. Today, she did x-rays, the entire cleaning, and even got sealants on her adult molars. Our hygienist today was Holly. She was absolutely fabulous managing my daughter’s emotions and putting her worries at ease by explaining each step and allowing her to see and touch the equipment so she wasn’t scared. We all celebrated my daughter’s bravery and I praise Holly on a job well done!

Fantastic experience: This office took me on a Friday afternoon with short notice, when no one else would! Had they not, I would have suffered all weekend with a severe toothache. They stayed with me until almost 7:00pm, taking excellent care of me. Thank you so very much!!!

Dr Rorick was kind and respectful, providing honest answers and solutions to my questions. Every staff member was polite, respectful and detailed. Fantastic experience: They got me in within an hour when I called as new patient with a dental emergency. Not only was I thankful for the quick appointment, I was blown away by how much effort this practice puts into patient comfort. I was immediately handed sunglasses in case the lights got too bright, offered a leg pillow and blanket, and asked what show I wanted to watch on TV. On top of all that, the doctor was thorough, gentle, and understood my complex needs as a TMJ sufferer, never forcing me to do more that my jaw could handle on that day. I went back to them for a tooth extraction and they continued to be great! I’ve put off so much dental care due to fear of my TMJ pain not being taken seriously, but they were compassionate and non judgmental at Sycamore. They let me fully customize my treatment plans for my budget and health concerns and have no problem if I need to make changes to the plan later. A truly amazing place and I’m so happy I found this dentist office so I can get proper dental care again AND treat my TMJ, all without stress or traumatizing pain!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for years and recommend this office to all of my friends and family! They are always courteous if not outright friendly (but 99% of the time it's a friendly experience). The office has some areas that are a bit of a tight squeeze, but it's very clean and nicely decorated. Mavin is my favorite hygienist- she makes sure every accessible surface of every tooth is fully coated when I request fluoride treatment. I bring my young kids here, and my toddler even asks if we can go to the dentist's office whenever we drive by.

Fantastic experience: Sycamore Hills Dentistry is the only dental office I would want to go to. I have a long history of dental issues and I remember a dentist leaving bruises on my arms from holding me down as a junior high aged girl. And a year ago a dental office in Warsaw gave me a sedative prescription to take before dental surgery that could have stopped my breathing when combined with my prescriptions. That left me with an extreme fear of dentists but Sycamore Hills Dentistry has changed that. I went today for an appointment without fear and panic attack. They are kind, understanding and they have worked with me. I am so grateful.

Fantastic experience: I recently went in for a simple exam/cleaning for my first dentist visit in YEARS. My cleaning was provided by Claudia (hygienist) and she was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and she was gentle. I was nervous because again, it had been years without a dental visit but my experience was pretty painless and smooth thanks to her amazing work. My exam was with Dr. Philip Varghese and he was also great, very kind and he just had a very happy aura about him. Overall I’d absolutely recommend Sycamore Hills Dentistry and I WILL be back! :)

Fantastic experience: From the time I enter the door to when I leave, every person listens and responds — reception desk, hygienist, doctor to billing. For most people, it’s a tense place but they know it and do their best to make you feel relaxed. Great job!
