Lakeview Dental Care of Haddon Heights

Negative experience: My 5 year old said "give them 100 million bad reviews" Would NOT bring your children here. I called here and explained on the phone my situation.... This was my dilemma.. We are in town from Florida for a family funeral for the week. My son had seen a dentist in Florida last month who told us he needed a molar removed because of a bad cavity. We did not jump on that as he was in no pain and didn't want to pull a tooth that prematurely so figured we would get a second opinion. However while here this week for the services of my grandmother he woke up in extreme tooth pain and so I called this office and explained I would like to have his tooth removed. We made an appointment for the next morning to self pay ($195 cash) At this appointment they took a photo of the tooth, looked at it, and told me they would not be able to treat him as he would need a pediatric dentist for something like that. I asked if there were any discounts or if they could do anything to help out because I feel they could have told me that on the phone (like other offices had the decency to do) and saved me the money and time... But no they let me think they would do something to help him then charged me the full price for a 10 minute visit where they said they don't do pediatric work........... Which surely they knew when I made the appointment for a 5 year old. We left disappointed and feeling stupid. I would not trust this practice, seems like a real crook move to me.

Fantastic experience: I needed a emergency appointment. They were able to fit me in and take care of my issue. They were very professional and very friendly. In and out in no time.

Fantastic experience: My gratitude for this dental practice is extraordinary. To make a long story short, random chaos was impeding on our plans since the sun rose and our entire family had been looking forward to a concert we planned since Jan! If things could go wrong, they were. For the one person who was looking forward to this more than anyone else, my father-in-law, the worst luck was his to be had: his tooth happened to crack 2 hours before the show. In great pain, he was devastated. He really tried to manage, but I don’t think anyone could survive through a Nine Inch Nails concert with unbearable nerve pain… I called Lakeview right away as I’ve been a prior patient at other Lakeview locations and they had offered to take him right away after I explained our insane dilemma. Let’s just say I took my father-in-law there at 6:15 pm. He was seen, evaluated, treated and released in time to see the show at 7:30 pm in Philly, pain free. Miraculously, we beat the rest of the family there and arrived early! He also got the “mosh pit” look to fit the concert vibe, missing tooth and all. Can’t thank Dr. Joel and the entire office enough. Thank you for your patience and for making a great night a truly memorable one. This all might be a cosmic joke, but your quick and compassionate action saved the show! Thanks again.

Negative experience: Called before making first appointment to make sure I was in network. Person I spoke to let me know I was in network and I’m covered for cleanings etc. After my first appointment they send me a bill and stated I wasn’t in network after the fact…. I never leave reviews for anything but it’s totally unprofessional making someone go through the whole process and try to charge someone because your office messed up checking if I was in network or not. Unacceptable practices…

Going to the dentist is never fun, but I can say with certainty this place makes it so much easier. 10/10 if you are looking for a great dentist, Dr. Nelson at lakeview, you won’t be disappointed.

Negative experience: I am thoroughly disappointed with my recent experience at Lakeview Dental Care of Haddon Heights. I received multiple confirmations for my appoint. Including an appointment confirmation just two hours before my scheduled visit, only to arrive at the office and find that my appointment had been canceled without any prior notice. This lack of communication is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their organization. I had rearranged my plans for this appointment, and the inconvenience caused is frustrating. I hope they improve their communication in the future to prevent similar situations for other clients.

Fantastic experience: Dr Joel is great!! I felt cared about!! I was never in pain! I have issues with my neck and they made me comfortable! The assistant couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly. And did a great job! The staff was so helpful from checking in and checking out. I definitely would recommend this office!!

Fantastic experience: I had severe tooth pain and with it being the weekend I didn’t know where I was going to be able to go. I was able to schedule an appointment right online and get in on a Saturday! They addressed all of my concerns and got me a treatment plan worked out right away! They were fast and professional and I felt like they cared about treating me as a person. I have decided to bring my regular checkups and cleanings here since their hours and openings are more convenient than most!

Fantastic experience: I had a bunch of fillings done today by Dr. Husain and I was so nervous and dreading it. He is so kind and his assistant was cheerful and calming. I felt so relaxed and they were so gentle! They made a very pleasant experience out of a dreaded one -- no one likes getting their teeth drilled first thing in the morning, but it was honestly the best filling experience I've had -- weird as that sounds. Going back in a few weeks for part two with way less dread involved, and glad to have found a dentist I can trust!

She listened to all my issues that I had and helped me get an excellent cleaning. Dr. Nelson was so sweet and welcoming and helped me with my TMJ issues. Nicole the one that did my screening for a night guard was so pleasant and walked me through every step. I felt heard and so welcomed at this place. I look forward to my next visit with them.

I haven’t been to the dentist in a couple years due to bad experiences and fear however thought it was time to bite the bullet. I had little to no discomfort during my cleaning. Fantastic experience: I had an old crown break while on vacation. I called Lakeside and they got me seen as soon as I returned. Everyone was friendly and the doctor did a great job removing the old crown and taking a mold for a new one. The fact that they had a weekend hours and emergency services was great.

Fantastic experience: It is well known that no one really enjoys going to the Dentist, but the staff at Lakeview go out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. My Hygienist, Jana, makes each visit stress-free and relaxing. She goes out of her way to make sure I am comfortable and most importantly, she lets me know exactly what she is doing, prior to doing it, which is something that any patient can appreciate.

Fantastic experience: Infected, broken molar! Ouch!!! Everyone was extremely helpful in getting me seen quickly by the dentist. Dr. Hussain walked me through the process and made me feel comfortable. Really great experience when I was experiencing great pain! Everyone was really great!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a dental implant performed by the extremely competent and personable Dr. Joel Hasbun and the very capable and delightful assistant Danielle. They were very focused on this being a pain free procedure and wanted me to let them know if I felt anything other than pressure. Halfway through the procedure, I felt a slight twinge of pain, they immediately stopped and administered additional anesthesia which worked perfectly. Since completion of the procedure, I have not experienced any bleeding, complications, or discomfort at the site of the implant.

Fantastic experience: In December, I was eating a piece of Christmas candy( the old fashioned hard kind) I pulled my filling out. I called them Monday morning. They had me in by the afternoon everyone there was very kind from the time I walked in. I felt like they really honestly wanted to help me. I haven’t gone to a dentist in quite some time yesterday I had my cleaning and checkup. The hygienist was very patient and cautious of my fear of dentist. Surprisingly painless. I would recommend Lakeview Dental Care in fact I already told my daughter and sil to make their appointments there!

They were all so nice and caring and very understanding of my dentist phobia. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. They took exceptional care of me during both visits. My hygienist, Devan S. and Dr. Nelson are literally thee best in the business and the reason I work my appointments around whenever they are both working! Fantastic experience: Had an emergency appt for a crown that popped off, the girls were great and so helpful. Dr. Hasan was extremely nice. I was in and out super quick and set up a my first normal appointment with them. Looking forward to having a great dental team!

Negative experience: I researched dentists that take my insurance. I talked to them on the phone, giving my insurance. Everything was good to go. I made an appointment, the earliest was 3 weeks. Two days before I received a text saying they didn’t take my insurance. Their AI flagged it. I’m glad I didn’t go since they rely on AI to fix human mistakes. If you read through the reviews there are other comments about insurance issues and people going without being informed that their insurance won’t cover their visit. Go at your own risk.

Fantastic experience: Lakeview in Haddon Heights is top notch! I have feared the dentist for most of my life. I originally came in about 2 months ago with horrible tooth pain. Unfortunately I had to have a root canal and crown. My first ever so I didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Patel and the office staff were so patient and informative on procedures & insurance/cost. The girls at the front desk were very compassionate and helpful in how to control my pain at home. Dr. Patel and his assistant (Nicole, I think) made me as comfortable as possible during the long procedure of the root canal & temp crown. When returning for my permanent crown 3 weeks later, I had asked the receptionist if I could schedule a cleaning. She offered to fit me in that day if I wanted. I accepted and was happy to not have to come back a different day. I saw Dr. Mikhail (I was informed ahead of time of the switch) he was very kind and professional and installed my permanent crown and he also saw me after my cleaning. He is very kind, personable and professional! Axon did my cleaning. He takes his time and is exceptional, meticulous and an all around pleasure to have cleaning your teeth! I definitely want all my future cleanings done with Axon. This office is efficient and clean. They have great music playing and I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room.

Negative experience: At first glance, I thought this practice was excellent. I moved to the area in July and I was happy to have found this practice. I brought my daughter and myself in for cleaning in August. Last week, the practice tells me that my daughter's cleaning wasn't covered by insurance because of her age (19 months) and I owe $180. The appointment also took 10 minutes and they barely looked inside her mouth. When I asked why it wasn't verified first before the appointment, the office manager said they don't know what will be covered until after they submit to insurance. The office manager also insisted that they cannot lower the price of what I owe because of their agreement with the insurance, but lo and behold the balance somehow got lowered to $113 because that is what their contract agreed to. I have never had this experience at any other dental office and it feels predatory. If I had known her appointment wouldn't be covered, I would have rescheduled it. I will be taking my family's care to a dental office with more transparency and integrity.

Fantastic experience: My whole family comes here and it’s always a pleasant experience during the most unpleasant times. No one likes having someone in their mouth scraping, drilling, or hacking away. But it’s always been a pleasant experience. I’ve had a fair share of work done due to my own negligence and I always come out feeling better then when I went in. My wife and two year old son also love it there.

Who gets you in within 1 hour of calling? NO ONE, but she did I have Never been treated ANYWHERE with such respect, kindness, professionalism, and extreme care of my needs…. ANYWHERE! I have Never been in ANY office where EVERYONE is SMILING, & Extremely happy to be at their job…. That calms a patient tremendously! I must give HUGE shout out to Sam, Victoria, & Daniel for going the EXTRA MILE to get me through the left back molar extraction, & the first phase of right molar root canal! Enter Dr.Husain….. The most COMPASSIONATE dentist I have ever come in contact with. Assessed my needs immediately, & came up with a plan; seen me Twice in One day to help my pain subside….. Telling me you’re doing great, held my hand, and answered ALL of my many questions! He’s a real asset to this practice! My process isn’t over, I go back on Nov. 5th for 2nd phase of the root canal, & Dr. Husain ASSURES me I will be Completely out of pain after this appointment. I trust him whole heartedly. I will write again when this process is totally completed, as the root canal will also need a crown. For Now….. Do NOT be HESITANT AT ALL to call Lakeview Dentistry for your dental needs…. You are in MARVELOUS , caring hands, & I don’t say that lightly! Thank You Dr. Husain, & EVERYONE at this office for your patience, care , & kindness…. More should be like All of You! Maybe then we wouldn’t have so many patients like me that WERE petrified of going to the Dentist!!

Fantastic experience: Faith was the absolute best! I have anxiety around the dentist, due to past experiences, and Faith was kind, patient, and helped me through the process by explaining each step. It kept my anxiety at bay, and was all around the best dental visit I could've asked for!

Negative experience: What's sad is that I had a wonderful experience with my dentist and her assistants, however one must first go through the front desk before reaching the back of house. I have had 2 very unprofessional experiences on 2 occasions. The first, I sat 5 feet in front of the desk but was not acknowledged for 30 minutes. I took accountability for this as I was not aware (first visit) of thier check in policy however it was a bit odd that despite my check-in oversight, there wasnt enough awarness for them to at least inquire. Instead, i was called on my personal cell phone by the receptionist. Now, I had an appointment canceled because i didnt respond to my appointment confirmation (which appeared as a REMINDER to me). It was sent less than 48 hours prior to the cancelation with a Sunday being 24 of those hours. I called immediately to express my concern and was told it was thier policy and the appointment would need to be rescheduled. In less than 2 months i have shown up to 3 appointments on time and paid over $1,200.00 out of pocket, without issue. When I told the receptionist, id be leaving as a patient if they did not get my scheduled appointment back, I was told I was "threatening" her. For the record, where I go and how I spend my money is not a threat to any business - it is my right and any business's loss, including those in the medical field. It's sad the dentist and business will be the only one affected by the unprofessional demeanor of the front desk because I will not be back.

Fantastic experience: They were wonderful. I was in so much pain on a Friday afternoon. My dental office of 34 years said they were sorry but closing at noon and could see me on Tuesday!!! They have never been the same since Dr Judd left. Lakeview were kind and caring. My new dentists. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I had extreme tooth pain for month and got the run around from a few other dentist’s. Giving me referrals to other dentist’s that did not accept my insurance. So far my experience with Lakeview dental has been amazing. I was able to schedule an appointment and be seen the same day. The staff is very personable and understanding of my pain. The Dr. Was great at assessing my problem tooth and recommend extraction. This has been a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this practice to anyone that needs immediate dental care. To all the staff at Lakeview, thank you for your compassionate care. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Negative experience: absolutely awful. mislead us about cost when booking appointment then were completely condescending and disrespectful in person at the front desk when they surprised us with a visit that was going to cost 4x the amount expected. still had to pay for a 30 second exam and nothing to get done. awful. would give zero stars if i could.

Fantastic experience: Went in today without an appointment for an emergency despite me being extremely anxious and nervous about going to the dentist but they were able to fit me in, no less than 45 minutes to get me taken care of. The ladies at the front desk were super kind explaining everything and so was the hygienist and the dentist. They were super kind and made sure that I was comfortable and okay with everything they were going to do today. They explained all options to me and I felt super relieved when I left today feeling so much better! Thank you so much for all you guys do!
