Fantastic experience: I have nothing but good things to say about this place. From day one, they’ve done everything possible to make my boys comfortable after we had a really bad experience with another dental office. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, the staff does a fantastic job keeping everyone’s spirits up. They do great work, and my eight-year-old—who’s always been very nervous about the dentist—feels at ease here. When Dr. Denise sits him down and explains everything, it takes away all his nerves and makes it easy for him to get the work done. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants their kids to have a pleasant dental experience.

Fantastic experience: Our kids have been coming here since they were little and have always had wonderful experiences. The entire staff—from the receptionists to the hygienists and doctors—are amazing. When my child needed a root canal on a baby tooth, Dr. Rafa was incredibly reassuring and helped ease my anxiety about the procedure. My child did not end up having to use the laughing gas. The hygienist, Aileen, was patient, kind, and informative with my daughter, which made a big difference. I highly recommend this pediatric dental office to all our friends and family!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry for some time now for my kids and all visits have been very positive. I was able to get a next day appointment for my toddler due to tooth pain. Dr Nydia was her attending dentist and all I can say is that she listened to my toddlers needs and concerns with great patience. She Gave great recommendations. I felt very comfortable with our visit and definitely will continue to return for my kids follow ups. Also Alyssa was our dental assistant and let me say that, when I do take my kids she’s always there with a positive attitude and great work ethics. Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry is highly recommended on my behave!

Fantastic experience: **Updated review** My oldest is about to be 18 and just saw Dr. Pat for his last pediatric appt. We could not be happier with the care we’ve received for years now. My two youngest will be patients until they age out as well. No dental anxiety any longer! We have been seeing Dr. Pat for a few years now for all three of my children. The office staff and hygienists are so friendly and kind to all the kids. Super patient with my middle who has quite a bit of anxiety. I refer everyone here.

Plus, they give a token to their vending machines after a visit so that you child leaves happy. Definitely a great place to take your little ones.

Fantastic experience: My son has been going to Dr. Nadia since he was five. He arrived as a very anxious child. Dr. Nadia and the staff at chula vista pediatric dentistry were always very gentle and patient with him. We've been chula vista pediatric dentistry for eleven years now. They've treated us like family.

Negative experience: We have been taking our kids for about 12 years now. Dr. Rene was amazing and Dr. Nadia is great. Sadly, Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry's customer service has tanked over the past few years. Everything from the previously friendly staff to how they handle billing is terrible. I'm waiting for a reimbursement for a deposit I had to pay for a procedure my insurance has always covered. This was never past practice. I'd expect better service and faith in long term customers, but I guess that's not their value system. Their loss, I have phenomenal coverage and will be taking my business elsewhere. I'll also be sharing my experience with friends and family I've referred over the years.

Fantastic experience: Did a phenomenal job, was able to calm my son down, and even got him to do everything they asked with little resistance.

Negative experience: I called at 11:56 trying to make an appointment for my children for the first time to this place, they pretended they were going to help me, They asked for my last name put me on hold I waited and then someone else asked me for my last name put me on hold and after waiting at 12:04 they transferred my call to the answering machine instead of hanging me they could have just told me they were taking lunch and tell me to call after 1 and not be wasting my time.

Fantastic experience: The appointment times are respected and my son didn’t have to wait at all to get checked, the Dentist and Anesthesiologist were very clear and thorough on the procedure and what to expect after the procedure. They understood my son’s needs as an autistic child and to top it off he gets a little gift after every cavity free visit. I highly recommended CVPD!

Fantastic experience: My daughter saw Dr. Nadia and her assistant. They were amazing!! My daughter is 3 and they were so understanding, gentle, went over every step with her. My daughter got filling with laughing gas and still is excited to go back to the dentist in a few months! Im one happy mama. Thank you all ladies! Even the front desk staff were super sweet!

Fantastic experience: I took my daughter back to Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry for her 6 month checkup this past week and saw Dr Pat. The facility is super clean, and the staff is very accommodating. Dr Pat works very well with children, and there’s a monitor to watch while having work done. Dr Pat noticed a cavity in one of her teeth. Instead of making another appointment he offered to take care of it on the spot to save us a trip. The room was prepped for the procedure. All forms were provided and completed on their devices, which made the process seamless. We were out of there within 20 min and on our way to start her day at school. Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry is HIGHLY recommended!

Positive experience: My daughter is a member of the " no cavity" club again ! The day went smoothly. She had xray, cleaning, flouride & Doctor's assessment. The equipment used to do the cleaning kept on leaking water. Don't know if the connection was loose or it was really broken. I hope they fixed it. Everyone was nice but in a hurry though. That doesn't give good vibes to patients & their family. They close at 5pm & our appt was at 4pm.‍♀️

Negative experience: My daughter is on the spectrum and needed X-ray and fillings done so we were referred by our regular dentist to this pediatric dental office. When I called I always ask if their dentist work well with special needs kiddos and the receptionist said yes. However our 2 visits in the office felt rushed. Even as being the first appointment of the day at 8 or 9 am it felt like we were rushed through the process. The dentist we got didn’t seem friendly either. If you don’t mind being rushed through your appointment so they can get to the next patient then this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: I love this place for my kids! Our most recent visit was especially awesome for my 4 year old. I wish I got their names but the dental assistant was amazing with my son and let him know everything she was going to do and made sure he was comfortable before doing anything. The dentist was amazing as well and even thought my 2 year old was resistant/cranky, he still handled it with care and positivity! If I could give more stars, I would! The waiting room has two tablets for the kids to play games on as well as a cool little toy dispenser game (they give you free tokens each visit). They also provide complimentary coffee for the parents which is so cool! Outstanding place!

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going here since she was 1 1/2. We love the staff and Dr. Pat is absolutely amazing with kids. My daughter actually looks forward to going to the dentist because she strives to hear the words “your in the no cavity club again” ha ha it’s so cute They also give the kids a little token at the end of the visit and let them pick a prize out of the little machines. But, I think her favorite thing is the tv in the ceiling so when she lies back she can see the movie that was playing in the waiting room still. Overall, great care, friendly staff, clean and very professional. Thank you, Dr. Pat and staff for you continued level of excellence even if it’s on a whim visit! I truly couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. She just had a check up and yes… she is still in the “no cavity club” at 8yrs old! She is truly a better brushed because they tell her what she needs improvement on.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to childrens pediatric dentistry Chula Vista for years. Myself and my kids absolutely love and adore Dr. Nadia. She is so awesome, down to earth and speaks to the children with so much ease. The service desk staff are so friendly and every time we visit they make us feel welcomed. We love childrens pediatric Chula Vista so much we convinced my sister to check them out after going to another big named facility, and she confirms the difference is dramatic. She loves it here too. Positive experience: It was a smooth check-in. It was a little weird to be called in for X-rays and then wait in the waiting room for a room to be ready. I’ve never experienced that before, but perhaps they try to have someone waiting with you? I felt like my son’s cleaning was very fast and not sure if the time was taken slowly to carefully clean his teeth. Our previous dentist in Texas was an amazing dentist and the hygienist took her time cleaning and flossing every tooth. I don’t think this is a bad office, but perhaps I’m trying to find that same hospitality. It was a clean space and I do feel like the dentist answered my questions. I do feel like he took his time to address my concerns and show me what he was looking at. Edit - took my other baby to his second appointment for the dentist. I just feel like there is no personal connection with the dentist. It feels like a robotic factory. Perhaps, I’m just use to pediatric anything in texas being more personal and friendly. I can’t say I found anything really wrong, besides very fast cleanings. The wait time for the second visit was horrible. We got there 25 mins early, but still waited a lot for the dentist past the appointment time.

Fantastic experience: We have been going here for 5 years…Amazing, friendly staff all around, every visit! Our dentist has always been able to squeeze us in the same day when we had a couple minor dental emergencies. On a past visit, they informed us our dental insurance covered two additional cleanings each year! On our most recent visit, our regular dentist was out of the office so we scheduled with someone else there. We asked if they happened to have any wax for braces even though they don’t do orthodontics at that specifc location. They looked and couldnt find any so they called and asked the orthodontist office of another business in the same building and brought it to us before we checked out to go home! So kind and way above and beyond amazing!

Fantastic experience: Nice clean office, very quiet for a Children's Place. Everybody was super friendly, was informed of my son's treatment. Scheduling wasn't too bad, they didn't have appointments in the same month I was looking a month out. Overall it was a good office, was referred by my primary dentist as they are contracted with my son's insurance, and the specific procedure wasn't able to be done at my son's regular dentist.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry and Dr. Eunice Hwang highly enough! We recently visited with our two boys, aged 3 and 6, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. This time we saw Dr. Hwang and she’s simply amazing. She has a wonderful way with children, making them feel comfortable and at ease from the moment they step into the office. Our boys were a bit nervous about their dental visit, but Dr. Hwang’s warm and friendly demeanor quickly put them at ease. She took the time to explain everything in a way that was engaging and understandable for them, which really helped to alleviate any fears they had. Dr. Hwang’s expertise and genuine care for her patients are evident in every interaction. She provided thorough and professional care, addressing all of our concerns and giving us great advice on how to maintain our boys’ dental health at home. The boys actually look forward to their next visit, which is a testament to how wonderful the experience was. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love bringing my son here. The staff is great and always super friendly. They are always gentle with all of his visits. They make sure he is always comfortable. They also have a cute coin system for no cavities. The dentist is great! She communicates well and is always very nice. The plus side, we have never waited longer than 10 mins to be called. Plus they maintain an extra clean dentistry. It is worth the 30 min drive! :)

I wish this place was around when I was a kid. My kids enjoy coming in and feel safe doing so. Their teeth have been well cared for even with braces on. Fantastic experience: I am so pleased I chose Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry. Their staff is so wonderful I asked to have my boys see Dr. Pat he wasn't accepting patients at the time but I insisted because he was recommended to me by a friend and Maria made it happen she was awesome. I was totally blown away as I walked into their office it was so kid friendly so many things for kids to play with train table, trains, video games, books, toys, tv playing movies. It was very spacious and seating was comfortable. We were called in by Lori Dr. Pat's assistant she was great. Explained everything well she played a movie which happened to be on the ceiling used as a distraction while they are being checked which I thought was such an awesome idea!!! Dr. Pat was awesome as well. Oh and they even give the kids tokens that they use to get little prizes. Overall it was such a great experience and I'm so looking forward to their future appointments. I don't think I could have chosen a better place for my kids.

I’ve been to so many pediatric dentists that have price gauged us, or kept us out of the loop; not practice. They hold such a high standard of patient care and integrity, I don’t wanna go anywhere else. Even when we lived an hour away our family chose to stay with this practice. Negative experience: Front desk coordinator Maria is a rude staff at Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry. She has a bad behavior toward her patients who's walking in for their appointment. All I did was talking to another staff next to her asking can my son get his coin while waiting on nothing. We were done with our cleaning appointment for the day. “She (Maria)turned at me snapped at me saying you need to wait.” What is there for me and my son need to wait on? There were 3 staff sitting there at the front desk just looking at each other. No other patients in the front desk checking in besides me my son and the 3 front desk staff and my dental assistant (Erica). Dr.Rene, please give me a call to understand who you are hiring on to your team. One bad staff will Will affect your business.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended by Miriam O. This was the first time taking my 1 year old to the dentist. We were worried about how our son would handle his very first visit however the dentist assistant and dentist put us at ease by explaining in detail how the visit was going to go and also provided us with helpful information to take at home. We are very satisfied, rooms were clean, staff was generous since setting up an appointment to the very end of our visit. This will be my son’s dentist and once my 1 month baby gets her first tooth, we’ll be bringing her as well. Thank you for making my son’s first dental experience awesome. Negative experience: The experience for my daughter is well. The nurses was great and the Doctor was great but I felt like I was obligated to use this office when I had no choice to pay $100.00 for a processing fee to get approval for my insurance company. As the Ms.Maria told me that she cannot process that paper work unless I pay that fee which sounded unethical. Why would I need to pay when the insurance should cover those fee. Please give me an explanation because I work with medical insurance personnel that told me that I didn’t need to pay this fee.

Fantastic experience: DR. EUNICE HWANG has been my children’s dentist for the past two years. Not only has she been welcoming and friendly to us, she is very knowledgeable and professional. The front staff is also very welcoming and I’m thankful for the warm environment they provide not only for the children but for the parents as well.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly, very clean office, my kids love coming here for check ups, cleaning, and treatments, I am very pleased with how smooth the experience is from check-in to check-out. I was recommended from a friend, and I recommended to family members !

Fantastic experience: We took our son in for his first appointment, and everything from setting up the appointment, filling out the paperwork, and the exam itself was such a breeze. I’m happy with our choice.

Negative experience: Been coming here since my daughter first got teeth she’s six now and we will not be going back . They say she had a couple cavities and needed sealants and the insurance would only cover a portion . Thought the work was a little extreme so I got a second opinion which saved me not only a couple hundred but the horror of filling multiple cavities. Turns out there was one small one that was able to use SDF since it’s her baby teeth . Also not spending $50 to book an appointment.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to see Dr. Pat since our kids were babies. Dr. Pat is very transparent and honest about treatments. He provides options and referrals when needed. Honestly we are so grateful we found him and his team. His team is so kind and helpful. We’ve recommended the pediatric dentistry to our family and friends because they are so great.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my 11 yr old here since she was in pre-K! They take great care of your kiddos here, are proactive in caring for their teeth, and for the most part are efficient! I’d say 1 in 5 appointments they’ve run a little late in seeing us by about 30 min but nothing ridiculous. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating, it’s a great place to take your kids!!

Fantastic experience: They are fantastic here! I've had a hard time in the past finding a good pediatric dentist to take x-rays and examine my son with autism. Since my son became a patient here, he's had x-rays, exams and cleanings. The dentists was great and the assistants were really good! The previous dentist refused to do any work and said we'd have to take him to Rady's to put him under anesthesia simply because I told them that he had autism.
