Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry - Farragut: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Love this dentist office they always do so well with my Autistic child! Ebony did his cleaning and was so patient and kind to him!! Highly recommend ❤️
Positive experience: The doctors and people in the back area were amazing during our procedure but the girl at the front desk was rude and had attitude with other people while I was there! I literally watched her ignore someone standing in front of her and then when she did respond to her she was rude and short and you could tell she had attitude!
Fantastic experience: My daughter Adeline was very nervous about going to the dentist, but once we got there, the lady who worked on her was so kind and gentle. She made Adeline feel completely comfortable! by the end, Adeline wasn’t nervous at all and actually said she couldn’t wait to go back to the dentist! I wish I had caught the sweet lady’s name, but everyone we encountered there was incredibly nice and welcoming. Thank you all for making her visit such a positive experience!
Fantastic experience: They are always so accommodating, patient, and understanding with both of my kids. One of them being autistic and is very nervous in these environments. Also super friendly!
Fantastic experience: They were absolutely amazing with my toddler and my 9 year old. They are patients and really take the time to make sure the kids feel comfortable.
Negative experience: Not a very clean place, employees are very rude! They cancel appts for kids as soon as they turn 14 without notice! 2 of mine they said they would see 1 more time got canceled and only seen my 8 year old that day and demanded money for xrays and said if I declined they would dismiss us. Mind you tenncare pays for everything at no cost to my family every 6 months! Also when doing extra dental work for say cavities they dont care if they are hurting the child or the child gagging scared cause they cant breathe we will not be going back after over 10 years with this place im disgusted!
Fantastic experience: The staff is always so amazing and my son honestly enjoys going!
Fantastic experience: Best experience every time with amazing check in Brianna Dutton is amazing at making you feel welcome like a family member not just a patient .always has a smile and friendly word to everyone .
Fantastic experience: Seriously the best team of pediatric providers. I can’t brag enough. My son is 2 and at stranger danger stage in life but the patient care team was great. Spoke to him and allowed me to be involved and hold him while they looked and cleaned his teeth. The check out girl was precious too. The only negative thing I have to say is the young girl at the front desk was pretty rude.
Fantastic experience: Amazimg atmosphere, excellent staff, very good with kids, my granddaughters 1st dentist appointment and she had 2 crowns placed and a small cavity filled and she didn't even know what was going on. The staff explained each step to her she watched tv as they worked on her teeth. I would recommend Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry 100% Even if we drive 2 hours to get there it was worth the drive for an amazing experience.
Fantastic experience: First time at this location and had a great experience. The entire staff are very helpful and happy. Thank you everyone.
Fantastic experience: We’ve had a great experience! The staff is very friendly either the kids and they get you in and out fast. Would highly recommend!
Negative experience: There are no dental hygenists that work at this office, everyone of them are polishes, meaning they polish the teeth, not clean at the gum line. My daughter has been going there for years until I finally asked why they were not cleaning her teeth and found out. Now we are sitting at a dentist office and she is 13 years old. The dental hygienist explained that her gums and teeth need lots of cleaning. I am almost in tears for my daughters teeth and gums.I will never return to that office again.
We love hearing positive experiences! Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us.
Fantastic experience: The staff was very welcoming from the front office, hygienist, and dentist. All were patient and great with the kiddos
Fantastic experience: Amanda the dental assistant was phenomenal. She was so kind and reassuring to my daughter. The Dr. was great as well. It took a long time but everything was great.
Fantastic experience: Everyone from the front office to the ba k were amazing! They made my child feel safe and special. He was all smiles.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this office & front staff! My son always has the best time, the drs are always so sweet, Dr Rose listened to my every need when it came to my sons tongue tie, they have always been able to fit us in last minute when needed, my girls got treatment same day with Dr Rose, I will always bring my kiddos here for as long as I can.
Fantastic experience: The staff were unbelievably amazing. It was our first ever dental visit and we could not have asked for a better experience. They made my young boys so comfortable. 10/10 recommend to all!
Negative experience: Office has cancelled our appointment day prior multiple times as dentist is no longer doing cleanings that day. It's difficult to understand how they wouldn't know prior to a day before that they needed to reschedule those appointments. Unfortunately we will be leaving the practice. However I will say that when we have had appointments with the dentist she was very good and my son had a great experience.
Fantastic experience: Always super supportive and great with my kiddos
Negative experience: I would say 0 stars but I couldn't. This office is highly unprofessional. I was told they could provide treatment for my son in the office, after I had tried to address the issue for almost a year. I did the paperwork, they never called me to schedule the treatment. I called after waiting for several weeks and they scheduled it for 4 months out. Before that appointment my son had a schedule cleaning where they then refused to do the treatment and said that he is aging out. Even though he will not be 12 until after the treatment was supposed to be done. I would not bring my child to this office if I did not have to, as they are the only pediatric dental provider that will accept TNCare insurance.
Fantastic experience: My daughter is almost 2, she had a bad fall and broke one of her front teeth. They got me in the next morning and Dr. Rose was so patient and kind with my daughter even while she was very emotional during her visit. The dental assistants were so pleasant and caring as well along with the front desk staff greeting you with smiling faces. Very thankful for everyone in that office today.
Fantastic experience: The experience was awsome they did a great job with my son would definitely recommend so nice and patient
Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful! The front receptionists are really sweet and the girls in the back are amazing with the kiddos!!
Fantastic experience: They are so great! I highly recommend!!
Fantastic experience: I love how everyone im the office feels like family. My daughter is so comfortable with the nurses and the dr which makes the visit enjoyable
Fantastic experience: Love the staff here! My son had a treatment done and they were very kind and patient with him.
Fantastic experience: Services are very satisfying and the front desk clark always check ahead of the appointment and make sure that they can do the best for the kids within their coverage
Fantastic experience: Dr. Rose was great with our granddaughter. It was a first time having a tooth removed and she made sure our little one was comfortable and unafraid. Thank you Dr. Rose!
Negative experience: All the people are very kind and good with my son. However I was miss informed about the cost of the procedure done on my son. I asked before it was done how much it cost and the woman said my insurance covers it fully. Without telling me that the laughing gas costs extra. I spent $170 on something I thought was covered by insurance. When I spoke to the front desk about it she said that the people in the back that are doing the procedure aren't supposed to say if something is covered or not. Needless to say I'm pretty angry. I would've told them not to use laughing gas beside he would've been fine without it. It was a simple procedure!!
Fantastic experience: They are awesome with kids. My grandson has severe ADHD and is up the walls, the knew how to handle him so easily and carefully, sternly but so nice.. he didn't feel an ounce of pain at all... good people and great atmosphere for the kids.
Fantastic experience: Great personal! They explain the whole dental procedure.
Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office for my kids. They're always so good with the kids both the younger and the older. The youngest loves the overhead movies
Fantastic experience: My son fell and chipped his front tooth. Dr Carrie was awesome with us. She squeezed him in and got his tooth fixed for us the same day. They did a great job too on his tooth!
Positive experience: I’ve brought my kids here for years. At least as long as my previous job (which was 11 years). I’m still covered under their insurance but unemployed due to health and an injury. My insurance ends in September so I’m trying to get all the things done before it’s gone in the case I don’t have a job (I’m trying to get SSDI as I was just diagnosed with hypogammaglobunemia). During my son’s cleaning, she suggested a sealant. I said “is that considered preventative?” (As preventative is 100%). She said yes. I agreed and when we went to leave the said I owed $9. I was confused and now very anxious, because I’m barely getting by. After what felt like ages, they came back and said my insurance only covers the sealant at 90% (which thank god it was that high at least). I stood there awkwardly, again explaining that I don’t know what to do. I explained my situation again and was just stared at - as they waited expectantly for me to just figure it out. I finally said “um… ok… I’ll figure something out I guess” which means, I’ll figure out something that I need to use that for (food, bills, a car that I’m about to lose) and not use it for that… they nodded. As I was paying, trying so hard not to cry over $9 and feeling absolutely humiliated, I told the girl I was sorry and I know $9 doesn’t sound like a lot but I really just… I just needed it. I walked out with my head down with my son. I burst into tears outside. He thought he did something wrong. Now, I’m writing this review crying in my car outside. I still love this place, don’t get me wrong. I’ll bring my kids back over and over (assuming I have insurance)… but things need to be explained better and for the love of god a little empathy… or maybe allowing me to call and pay it in a few days when maybe I can DoorDash or uber… don’t just stare at me and make me feel small. On the plus side, I guess, silver lining, they did a great job with my son. He’s happy (not with the taste )… we got to spend a little time together which is difficult with my medical issues… I guess there’s that at least.
Fantastic experience: Everyone was very nice. They explained everything. They ask if we had any questions. The dentist was very good with my Autistic nephew.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this dentist. They are an amazing team! My kids love going to the dentist!
Fantastic experience: My second time coming with my toddler. Great atmosphere in the waiting room, typically very calm. Out back can be a bit overstimulating with the noise level from all the kids being seen. Very friendly staff and answering questions without rushing. My toddler enjoyed their reward system; she got a token to use in their toy slot machine. I didn't like the squishy toy that came out, it smelled like petroleum and was very gooey. Other than the noise and gooey toy, I had a pleasant experience.
Positive experience: Very upset that after 5 years of coming to this office my children are not linked as family because they have different last names. So I had to explain to multiple people I was there with 2 children and their names and DOB. Then was told this is my son’s last appointment with them because he’s 12 and they don’t see children with adult teeth. I’ve never been told this before. So now I have to find a new dentist that my child who has severe medical issues and anxiety has never met before and basically completely start over with someone new. It was a very frustrating experience. The services as far as friendliness, taking care of my children and their teeth are amazing. But the communication is severely lacking.
Fantastic experience: Great Doctor care. Couldn’t have had better medical attention and interaction with the patient and parents and medical staff. Each one highly professional and caring. Thank you to you all.
Fantastic experience: Everyone is so nice. Very efficient with their time. Just a great place to take your children.
Positive experience: As far as the dentist and one hygienist was concerned… absolutely phenomenal. However, the other hygienist that worked with my very nervous/anxious 9 year old, worked without telling him what was going on, was short with him and myself and even spoke to him in a very sarcastic tone saying “do you need a rinse?” To which he nodded and as she went to rinse him very rudely said “you have to use your words. I can’t read your mind”. I will make sure she doesn’t work with my children again.
Fantastic experience: Been going here since my oldest daughter’s first dental visit. The employees are so sweet & welcoming! They give my daughters the best care & treatment! Would highly recommend!!
Fantastic experience: Lovely office and made sure my child was very comfortable with the whole process.
Fantastic experience: This place is amazing!! They are super sweet, friendly, caring, very gentle on teeth, they are extremely clean and well organized and to add they are so so patient!!! My son absolutely loves going here! Definitely don’t disappoint! They also have a play room for the kiddos, can’t ask for a better dentistry!
Thank you for sharing the positive feedback! It is always our top priority to deliver the best care to patients.
Fantastic experience: My daughter has been with this clinic for years, she loves going there, all the staff are nice to my daughter. Only downside for me, is we live about 35 minutes away from the clinic, but since we only go twice a year, I'm okay with it.
Dey, thank you for taking the time to provide us with a kind review!
Fantastic experience: Everyone at the office is amazing! Yesterday was our first visit to this office and my daughter was told she needed some fillings, they was able to get her back in to get it fixed not even 24 hours later. She absolutely loved the office and wasn't scared one bit. Thank you all so much for taking care of my little girl.
Fantastic experience: KPD is the best. Great customer service. Camryn, Laney, and Ebony was outstanding! My child said this was the best experience for her. Highly recommended yall to other moms!!!
Fantastic experience: They are so nice, and my kids love it here.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Rose and the rest of the staff is definitely, companionate & caring. Laughter and positive attitudes, throughout the practice. A stellar dentist office. Very accommodating and a very happy group of professionals ❤️
Positive experience: My son had to have some teeth removed and the dentist and dental assistants were great! Kept him calm and explained the process to us with no misunderstandings.
Fantastic experience: We are very thankful for the Farragut office for getting us in on short notice. Everyone from the check in to the insurance coordinator to the office manager was amazing and friendly. Thank you all!
Fantastic experience: They are an awesome group of people. Very efficient and absolutely amazing with kids!
Fantastic experience: We love Knoxville pediatrician dentistry just wish they seen children older than 12
Positive experience: Laney that works check in was so kind! We drove 1h 20min, got caught up in traffic on the interstate, which made us 1 min late for our appt. I called before pulling in the parking lot to let them know what happened only to be told by the “assistant office manager” they could not allow one of my three children to be seen. After driving 1h 20min, calling like I should to inform them only to be told one of my children couldn’t be seen I was very upset! The “assistant office manager” acted as if she did not have time to listen to me and did not care. Laney, the check in should be allowed to teach her boss how to be kind to KPD patients! She did such a good job, and worked my child right in. Laney, and the dental assistants get 5 stars, but the manager and “assistant” 1 star.
Fantastic experience: The Dr. Is awesome. The kids live him and he treats them as his own. They listen to him and his staff is great as well.
Fantastic experience: Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry is an amazing dentistry for kids. Everyone that works there is amazing with my son and he actually enjoys going to the dentist. I highly recommend them!
Fantastic experience: Loved it, the dental assistants Astrid, Debbie, and Ebony were awesome, informative, patient and very friendly with my kids. The dentist, Dr. Carrie was very professional and caring. Overall experience was awesome! ❤️
Fantastic experience: Everyone is super friendly and kind. My granddaughter loves going there.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff that made my kids feel safe and comfortable! Clean and professional, definitely recommend!
Fantastic experience: Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry has always been so good to us. We really enjoy being patients there. They have a nice little play area in the waiting area, they have tv’s on the ceiling which is an awesome idea. The ladies in the office are always nice and the women in the back are always a good chat too! Everyone there is great!! Very blessed to be able to take my kids here.
Fantastic experience: From the reception desk to all of the dentists and their assistants everyone is so incredibly nice. They’re thorough fast and they made my child feel so comfortable.
Fantastic experience: This office is amazing. They took their time with my littles and were very patient. Given how busy the office was the wait was minimal.
Fantastic experience: The staff at Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry - Farragut is amazing! Everyone is so kind and they take great care of my kids and their teeth!
Fantastic experience: They are amazing with all 3 of my kids! They’ve always answered any questions. Helped in all ways and are great with my special needs son! Thankful for a dentist that’s close that’s so amazing!!!
Fantastic experience: We had the best experience this morning at Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry, Ebony and staff made us feel welcome and comfortable during our routine check up.
Fantastic experience: They are the absolute best with my kids I would give 10 stars if I could my daughter saylor loves them
Fantastic experience: My daughter suffers from anxiety from a bad dentist when she was younger, when we switched to Knoxville pediatric dentist they took time and care with her, and now she doesn’t panic when going to the dentist!
Fantastic experience: They are awesome!! My son has been going there since he was 1. He is now 7 and has never been scared to go to the dentist even after fillings.
We appreciate the great five-star review, Cindy!
Negative experience: UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!!! I went today for my 3 kids check ups. They have been going here for years, probably 5 years. This is the 1st vist where I was told all my kids needed xrays. Thought that was odd. I questioned weather or not my 5 year old should be xrayed. She only has he baby teeth still. So why the xray? Come to find out they wanted to do BOTH! The bite down an spot xray, along with the whole mouth xray. Where you bite and the xray rotates around your head. Now I'm really questioning here. Why both xray? Xray tech said the spot xray was to check for cavities between the teeth!?!?!? Never heard that one before. Had to wait about 10 mins for the xray, because of the line of other kids. After my 2 older boys where done. I refused the xray for my 5 year old. As I am waiting for my boys to get done. I realize they were making EVERY SINGLE CHILD get both XRAYS!?!? Is that not a type of medical malpractice? Exposing unneeded radiation to every child! I had to sign a refusal paper for my 5 year old daughter, an was told that I only get 1 refusal. After that I am dismissed from the dentistry. The lady who handed me the resusal letter said that they would have a 2nd xray room when I come back. I told the lady "I bet you will, your making your 1st room pay for the next room." By exposing children to unneeded radiation, just so they can double charge your insurance company, for each xray type. It was never like this before today! Keep your kids safe! P.s. - No more Balloons during checkout for the kids. Also the tablet by the checkout counter is no longer working. Was a nice feature to keep the kids busy while the parents checked out. Must not be cost efficient. We Won't be returning.
Fantastic experience: Always quick and punctual. They take the time to explain issues and plans of action. They are really good with the kids also
Fantastic experience: To start off: my 3 and 4 year old sons are polar opposites. My 3 year old was beyond enthused to make a trip to the dentist (literal smiles as his teeth were cleaned), while my 4 year old broke down in tears the moment we stepped back for his routine check up. Both boys (despite totally different responses) were approached and cared for in such a sincere and genuine way, perfectly catered to the way they operate! My mama heart had such ease walking out knowing all of their little teeth were examined closely, treated appropriately, all while both boys smiled as they gripped their balloons and their “goodie bags” tight! We GREATLY appreciate all of the dentists, hygienists, dental technicians, and office staff each and every visit!
Negative experience: The worst customer service and attitude since we have been coming here! We have been please up until Monday 1/27 when staff was clearly undereducated in several topics the first being if the tooth paste is gluten free due to my youngest being diagnosed since the Friday before with celiac I asked the receptionist first if the tooth paste was gluten free she said she did not know I then ask the tech in the back before cleaning my daughters teeth her response simply was I don’t know but she didn’t react last time well your right Karen she didn’t because we didn’t know she had it and celiac doesn’t cause a gluten allergic reaction it’s poisonous to her intestines! Second I have also two special needs kids which they have been fabulous with up until Monday whom they put all four of my kids in different corners of the office and two cannot talk walk and one has a ventilator they where fussing at my 8 year old to lay down and stop she is nonverbal autistic cognition of 1 year old and telling the nurse to put my son on table beside her he has vent and can’t lay flat unattended and in the meanwhile hollering at me from the other corner with my four year old whom no one can tell me if tooth paste is gluten free wanting me to come over there to answer questions and was very rude and telling me I didn’t follow the treatment plan for my special needs daughter to have 2 teeth removed. First I don’t want to leave my 4 year old and shouldn’t have to whom also has disability and is 4 to answer questions that you didn’t read the chart for And my daughter is supposed to have those teeth removed at children’s which I filled the paperwork out for in July and she tells me well did you do the hospital paperwork yes mam I did at last visit then tells me well she just has one thing wrong with her she has to have five things wrong with her they won’t do it at this point I’m fuming my daughter has ten plus diagnosis and has had all work done at children’s due to her being medically fragile and special needs and I am just flabbergasted because clearly she is the tech and still at that hasn’t read the chart for any of them and they have been going for 2 years. I take all four together and we are always placed together I cannot leave a four year old or the nurse leave the other 2 or myself leave them unattended on a chair with no sides I finally get answers about toothpaste and my children get their teeth cleaned and we make follow ups only to get dismissal letters yesterday! Why because me as a parent and special needs parent and a nurse called you out on your attitude with my children my nurse and myself or because I called you out on not knowing their chart with them having multiple disabilities and diagnosis and allergies that you claim to be Ada friendly or because I simply said to one after her multiple attitude you got that big girl black girl Knoxville attitude and I can have that big girl momma attitude! I will protect my children at all costs you as a medical establishment have to know their chart their conditions it is useless for me to update the health forms and put this information in if you do not look at it prior to their arrival and further more could be detrimental in certain cases based off of allergies and conditions and what is being done for the day in that appointment. So yes I will call you out my children nor myself or any other parent or child should have to deal with that! Prior to Monday my experience had been nothing short of a 10 but that staff is gone and filled with new staff I even had the same big girl attitude tell me as a tech that I shouldn’t want my daughters teeth pulled they are placeholders for other teeth and that Dr grant who made the treatment plan is wrong! I did inform her this has always been the treatment plan to remove some of my daughters teeth since she was 4 due to microcephaly and multiple rows of teeth which is causing her pain this is outside of her scope to be involving herself in their treatment plan about surgeries when you can’t even familiarize yourself with her disabilities.
Fantastic experience: The nurses and doctors are the absolute best. Friendly and professional. My baby enjoyed her experience :)
Fantastic experience: We moved and I still drive almost an hour so that my kids can still go to this dentist. The staf is so friendly and grassy with kids . We love them !
Fantastic experience: Dr. Rose was amazing! She took care of my daughter getting three of her teeth extracted today. She was so sweet and patient with her. We definitely love this office!
Fantastic experience: First time my child had fillins at the office, without being sedated. He has anxiety. The dentist & assistant both were fantastic!! Explaining why the mask was needed to “paint his teeth” they turned the lights down, gave him sunglasses, so it was his personal movie theater. Very nice, patient with him, & Encouraging the whole time. Also pulled a tooth. Best experience! Only dentist my child has ever been to & will continue to see.
Thank you for taking the time to share the positive feedback! We aim to deliver the best care to patients, and we love receiving feedback like what you have provided.
Fantastic experience: The staff is always so kind and accommodating. My 5 year old son is always so comfortable and happy to be there. I had my 14 month old daughter in tow and the entire staff was so sweet and helpful with her! The facility is beautiful and clean!
We love hearing positive experiences! Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us.
Negative experience: Worst experience ever. After a 6 month wait for our first appointment they say if we are called and told we have to reschedule and next available would be another 6 months out. Finally the first appointment comes and we are told his teeth are perfect. A week later they start to hurt my 4 year old so we go back and they said he has 4 cavities. We scheduled to get them fixed. Guess what. Another 6 months for a 4 year old in pain. We wait our turn and when the day comes they say they can’t do it because he’s to scared so they will email us paper work and have him in within the month. It’s been a month of calling daily with no response or call back and I still don’t have the paperwork. So disappointed.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly environment. There was a small dilemma on our appointment but they were fast to correct it. The staff were all great and knowledgeable. My kids had a wonderful experience. Thank you!
We love hearing positive experiences! Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us.
Negative experience: My child’s appointment was at 3:30. We made it at 3:40. My child was denied care and told to reschedule, citing “It’s 10 minutes past your appointment time and the staff has left for the day.” First time we were late in 8 years. Working mom of two.
Fantastic experience: I could never share the correct words for my level of appreciation for the staff at Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry. I was given the run around at another place for my 4yr old autistic sons dental work that was projected to take MONTHS for him to recieve that was merely negligent. KPD saw my son within a week and a week later had him scheduled for surgery and corrected his severe abscess tooth that was broken causing pain. Gave him caps and fillings and turned his entire smile around. The staff was upfront, quick and kind. They did everything they could to keep me informed and help my son be comfortable and happy!! Couldn't recommend a better place.
Thank you for sharing the positive feedback! It is always our top priority to deliver the best care to patients.
Negative experience: None of the staff cares about taking their time to talk to you. It feels and looks as if everyone that works at the Farragut de tested location is in a huge rush to check kids in fast and check them out faster.
Negative experience: We unfortunately got there 15 minutes late , however the policy is 10 minutes and they would not see my son for a cleaning today. The traffic was horrible due to Thanksgiving being this Thursday, however we did reschedule this appointment but if your going to be late past ten minutes don’t bother coming forget that gridlocked traffic from driving from your kids school. Anyway i was texted by the office to leave a review for today’s visit so here it is. I would have given a zero star if possible this visit was not pleasant.
Negative experience: It was awful. No notice upon dismissing my child. We get a paper at her visit and are told this was the last one. They found 2 cavities and refused to finish the treatment. Is this how you treat long term clients? Finding an adult dentist is beyond impossible. We have to travel to OAK RIDGE or KINGSTON Her cavities have to wait over 6 months for any work to be done! This is beyond belief. I am very disappointed in how this was handled.
Negative experience: Place is a joke. Why would you give someone carrying a baby with nowhere to sit a whole entire packet of paperwork to fill out by hand? While also making them wait 30 minutes after said appointment time and never even calling their name? That’s absolutely insane. Place is ghetto with the cops going in and out and staff running back and forth through the chaotic waiting area.
Fantastic experience: Always loved Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry. We’ve only ever went to Farragut location but they’ve always been good with my boys!
We love hearing positive experiences! Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us.
Fantastic experience: I love this office and the whole staff. I was very sad today to find out that kids now age out of this practice at age 12. My very anxious child is just now becoming comfortable with going to the dentist so we are very sad that we only have one more visit with them. Great place and great people.
We love hearing positive experiences! Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us.
Fantastic experience: My daughter had a visit today! She is 3 and terrified of the dentist setting, the dental assistants and doctor were all very helpful it making a good experience for her!
Thank you for sharing the positive feedback! It is always our top priority to deliver the best care to patients.
Fantastic experience: Alway so professional while working with the children. The office is so kid friendly and we love all the decorations in the back. They keep the children occupied by having a TV on the ceiling when they lay the children back to clean their teeth. We have come to our end with KPD. My son is a 14 and he has all his teeth adult teeth, no more baby teeth. It was fun while it lasted. Thanks ladies and the doctors.
We love hearing positive experiences! Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us.
Positive experience: It’s not the dentists, the hygienists or the assistants. It’s the always needing to reschedule, always changing days, not calling to notify of changes and driving 40+ minutes to be told “you’ll have to reschedule.” the appointments were books 6-9 MONTHS out to begin with. Taking my time from work and my children’s time from education. It’s happened so often over the last 6 months. We’ve been with KPD for at least 7 1/2 years I’m unsure of what’s brought such negative changes but I truly hope it resolves soon.
Negative experience: My 2 main complaints about this place are: 1. they are not kid friendly (don't get siblings in together, if you have two kids, they separate the parent from one of the children) 2. they don't do patient education, teaching kids how to brush correctly and floss. This should be a main responsibility of a pediatric dentist. I called months ago to schedule appointments for my 2 kids (age 7 and 2). I emphasized on the phone that I want them seen together, because our youngest looks up to the oldest and wants to do what the oldest does and let's be honest, nobody likes going to the dentist. They scheduled our 2 appointments, one after the other. We arrived with time to spare. They then took our oldest in but refused to let me and the youngest be present for the oldest's cleaning. I said that i want to speak with the dentist about my concerns. the receptionist assured me they will call when the dentist sees the oldest. But they just brought my child back to the waiting room and were very irritated when i asked to speak with the dentist. I wanted to make sure that they didn't see any concerns with cavities, that the adult teeth are coming in well, etc. Things a mother who is taking her child to the dentist on a regular basis wants to know. 20 minutes after that incident, they brought our youngest to the cleaning room. Our youngest, not understanding why they were separated from their sibling, was very scared and refused to allow the hygienist to clean the teeth or do the fluoride treatment. So basically we went there for nothing. We will not be back.
Negative experience: We have been going to this office for 9 years! In the last 2 years it has been very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. I constantly get emails about wanting to reschedule their appointments. I understand being short staffed and that things come up, but for 2 years, every 6 months? I also found out today during a scheduled appointment that my 14 year old has apparently aged out of their care. Their website advertises they offer care for teens! This is why i chose this dentist. Consistency is a huge factor for children, and who wants to keep finding new offices. I have never in the time we've been there been told anything about aging out. We have also had a different provider at each visit over they last 2 years without ever being notified of a change in providers. I am so frustrated, as is my kids! I understand things change, but this is getting ridiculous.. Each new provider seems to have fewer and fewer patients with children as well, and this is supposed to be a pediatric dentist.
Negative experience: I have 4 kids and we have loved kpd and have been with them for about 17 years and are very sad that they informed us this would be my kids last visit there because they will only accept kids under 12 to make room for younger patients. Not a lot of places take our insurance so we are going to probably have to pay out of pocket to take them somewhere else. We were not told on the phone or at the front desk, the hygienist is the one that told us and she was sweet about it but she had to be the one to break the news to us and when she saw my disappointment, then said I could bring them to my dentist. My last 2 kids are 12 and 14 year old that have any more years of needing care and one of my kids has a lot of anxiety with dentists and he is more comfortable with a pediatric dentist. We are very disappointed we were told my kids are now too old to go there.
Fantastic experience: Today was my children first appointment here and let me say it’s worth the drive! This place is amazing!! They are super sweet, friendly and caring. They actually held conservations with me while doing their jobs. They talked with my children as they were interested in getting to really know them. They are extremely clean and well organized. They did not rush on anything. They made sure we all were comfortable. My son words were he likes this place! You guys definitely didn’t disappoint me or my children! Thank you ladies and keep up the good work. You all are appreciated!

Positive experience: Hard to get an appointment. Also, they close out of fear of a little bad weather. They do good work. When they decide to open. Just very hard to get an appointment. Made an appointment in February for the last week of September. Now it'll probably be January before we get another appointment. A whole year between visits...
Fantastic experience: The whole group is wonderful! My kids never dread going because the staff makes them feel relaxed and comfortable!

Negative experience: Charged us over $100 for a 2 minute visit for our newborn. Our other two children are patients of his and we’ve been using him for years. No courtesy. Pathetic.
