Negative experience: This is the 3rd time I’ve been to this place & the front desk receptionists are extremely rude each time. The 1st time we came with our newborn and they made us wait for almost 2 hours and delayed my baby’s feeding time & my pumping time and they don’t even seem to care. So I already had a bad impression about them. The next 2 times weren’t any better. The dental hygienist & dentist are nicer but I don’t think they really do a good job at cleaning the teeth. I’ve told them that I have problem with foods being stuck in a certain area of the mouth. She said she’d check it out but then I still have the same problem after the visit. And I feel like she only really cleaned the bottom teeth and not really the top where I usually have more problems. I also had to ask to get the protective glasses because it wasn’t offered before she started the cleaning. The dentist came in to check on the cleaning for less than 5 mins and all he could do was to offer me to get my teeth aligned because of some teeth that are chipped & not aligned perfectly. Sir, I chew on bones & crab shells so of course my teeth are going to be chipped but do I need my teeth to be aligned 100% perfectly? NO! I’ve been to different dental places including my own aunt’s dental office for years, and I’ve never experienced anything like I do with this office. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We only go here because it’s close to our home & convenience but I’ll be looking elsewhere now.

Negative experience: Ive been with ideal for 8+ yrs, keep up with normal cleanings and ive had tons or work done here. My normal denist wasnt there and a new denist did the check over before my cleaning. They come back with a bill for 4 crowns needed (which isn't a surprise, my normal denist has them on a watch list) but to tell me they all need to be done the same time with no other option is crazy! Then, they say i need another deep cleaning (had one last year @$450 cost) for $485. I tell them about my financial situation and ask if I can just do a regular cleaning today. They refuse and I had to walk out! Such a money grub company now!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience at Ideal dental. I made an appointment at the wrong place, so when I walked in they didn’t have me booked to come in. But that didn’t stop them from helping me. They took me back and started helping me and making me feel welcome. They were so welcoming and kind, they keep me aware of what they were doing and making sure I was ok the whole time.

Negative experience: I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received today at your Forney location, where I have been a loyal patient for the past two years. Up until now, my experiences at this clinic have always been positive, which makes today's incident all the more disappointing. I arrived on time for my scheduled check-up and was promptly escorted to Room No. 5. However, after waiting for 15 minutes without being attended to, I walked to the front desk to ask if someone would be seeing me soon. I was told they would assist me shortly. A few minutes later, one of the assistants began taking some x-rays. Once that was done, she stepped out of the room. While waiting, I received a quick work-related phone call, which lasted less than two minutes. During this call, a front desk employee named Selene approached me in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner, loudly demanding that I put my phone down. She stated that if I had complained about not being seen sooner, I shouldn't now be wasting their time. I tried to explain that it was a work call, but she cut me off and insisted that I hang up immediately. Shocked by her tone and attitude, I went to the front desk and spoke with another staff member—one who has always been kind and respectful—and asked for an explanation. She apologized on behalf of her unprofessional colleague and acknowledged the inappropriate behavior. This kind of treatment is absolutely unacceptable. While I have previously spoken highly of your clinic, today’s experience has caused both me and my husband to seriously reconsider continuing our care with Ideal Dental. It’s disappointing to walk away from a place we once trusted, but respect and professionalism should never be compromised—especially in a healthcare setting. I hope this incident is addressed appropriately and that steps are taken to better train your staff in customer service and patient care. If not, I fear more patients may begin to look elsewhere, as we now plan to do.

Negative experience: Dentist was great! The hygienist was really rough while cleaning! when she took XRay protector off my chest she dragged it across my face while she walked away! She bumped the Xray rod sticking out my mouth causing pain to the roof of my mouth and ignored it! She was so rough cleaning I thought she was going to chip a tooth!

Positive experience: Update: Someone reached out with an explanation of insurance. They assured me that my mother will receive her refund sooner rather than later. I appreciate the follow-up. Thank you! I agree with Martinez's review, as the service my mother received was wonderful. However, our experience with the front desk and billing was less than stellar. First, the appointment confirmation my mom received was a bit aggressive. It stated that if we did not hear back from them, her appointment would be canceled. Considering my mom is elderly, it would have been more appropriate to give her a phone call. Additionally, my mom paid $250 at the time of her service for grafting, even though she has insurance. I was shocked to receive the explanation of benefits, which indicated that bone grafting was covered. My mom, who is on a fixed income, has yet to receive a refund for this charge. Furthermore, her procedure was in July, and the insurance covered it.

Fantastic experience: My cap fell off (was placed by a dif dental office) and I wasn't sure if it would fit back on, Dentist was able to maneuver my gums back so it fits perfectly maybe even better than it did before! It was sensitive and they offered numbing and were very polite. Quick service great people 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Ideal Dental for several years now. They made me a faithful customer after getting me in when I needed a dentist the most. I had a very painful infection which needed immediate attention. They got me in and took care of me. Dr. Pham and the entire staff is awesome! I've never had a bad experience. I highly recommend you give them a chance to make you a faithful customer like me. I like the fact that before they do the work you know where you stand with billing. You are presented with options. Then you are allowed to make your own choice about what you can afford or what insurance will cover. They take Care Credit and other conventional insurances. Today's visit was at 9am and they got me in earlier. I feel better knowing that when I arrive I will always get great care!

Negative experience: We set an appointment for almost a year to cover the insurance as we told by the customer service, after my wife visited they told her that her insurance won’t covered everything so so have to pay upfront for $ 1600 for deep cleaning and a simple extraction done. Negative experience: Google Review for Ideal Dental (Forney) ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 star) I have been with Ideal Dental since 2017 and specifically with the Forney location since 2022. Unfortunately, my recent experience has made it clear that I can no longer continue with this practice. I called the office on a Friday due to severe tooth pain, asking if there were any openings that day or the next. The front desk staff told me there were no available appointments and that I already had one scheduled for August 13, implying I should wait until then, despite being in pain. I explained that I was dealing with an urgent issue and needed a crown, and only after insisting did they finally offer me a same-day appointment. This left me feeling hurt and frustrated. Dental pain can’t always wait, and it felt as though my health was not being taken seriously. Sadly, this was not the first time I had a negative experience with their support staff. On a separate occasion, I needed to speak to a doctor regarding a prescription. I was told the doctor was unavailable and would call me back, but I never received a call. Even after following up, I still couldn’t get the support I needed. The dentists themselves have been fine, but the front desk support has consistently been unhelpful and, at times, outright rude. It seems patient care and urgency are not priorities for the staff at this location. As a result, I decided to leave Ideal Dental and was able to find another provider the same day, one that listened and took action immediately. I hope this review encourages Ideal Dental to improve their patient support and communication.

Negative experience: I hate to give such a low rating but the front desk personnel are horrible. They seriously need immediate customer service training. They are inefficient and rude. Once we literally sat in the waiting room for more than hour before they noticed that my kids names were not even checked in. Another time, our appointment was rescheduled to another date and no one cared to inform us about it until we showed up on the original appt time. It’s very frustrating that the front desk staff is not approachable when the providers in the back are caring, excellent, helpful, and talented.

Negative experience: Being rude must be a requirement to be a receptionist here, because as many times as they switch them out, the end result is the same. Whether on the phone or in person, these women are simply nasty and without reason. Ew. The other reviews about bait-and-switch pricing are true. They will tell you one thing-give you a treatment plan with it on PAPER and everything-and after treatment tell you that you either have a balance or your insurance (the insurance THEY are supposed to verify) won’t cover your treatment THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN COMPLETED. The communication within the office between employees is basically non-existent, and the ONLY good thing about this place are the actual dentists and some of the hygienists. I would go into more detail but it’s basically pointless because they couldn’t care less. They have warranties on some work I’ve had done and I literally don’t care. I’ll start all over and pay full price with a different dentist. That’s how much I’m willing to sacrifice to never deal with this office again. Switched dentists and haven’t given them or that “balance” a second thought.

Positive experience: Service is typically amazing but this 6 month cleaning felt rushed and a bit rough. My gums have been swollen since the visit. Although my teeth were cleaned the hygienist left the bib around my neck which fell office before I got in my car. It was really an odd vibe hopefully it will be better in December.

Fantastic experience: Let me tell you guys something!!! I just got one of my bottom molars removed today along with my abscess being drained… I was scared beyond belief. My blood pressure was up and I was thinking of all the worse things possible that could happen. Karina and the dentist Dr. Monica B were absolutely amazing!!!!… They listened to me rant on and on about my fears of getting my tooth pulled. They even gave me time to calm down which took about a good hour and a half while laying back in the chair with the lights off to help get my blood pressure down. I even took off my shoes and everything lol. I did the most y’all lol. Finally I just said okay I’m ready !!! Dr. B numbed me up really good and waited for it to kick in. Finally it was time to pull. I felt absolutely no pain at all!!!. She kept checking on me making sure I was okay. She had my tooth out in 5 minutes!!! Did you hear me???..5 minutes!!! And then a couple minutes later drained my abscess!! She is a beast out here. All painless free!! Dr Monica B is one heck of dentist with her side kick Karina!!! Thank you both for your patience and understanding with me.

Negative experience: Made an appointment two days ago. My appointment was 8 am . I showed up on time after driving an hour with my two littles only to be told they canceled my appointment because they never received confirmation. I was never sent any confirmation email or text. They said they could fit me in, in three hours. Which I couldn’t do because of other appointments I have today So they finally squeezed me in. This is not an acceptable way to treat patients.

They sent me a text saying to call them to confirm appointment right after that another text saying they didn't hear back from me so they canceled the appointment. They didn't give me anytime to call. I called to see what was going on. I call them 5 times. I surprise call them on the third time and the lady answer realized it was me she hurried and said hold please and left me on hold for 10 mins. I hung up. I called two more times and it went to straight voicemail. If they didn't want my business that all they had to say and not play these foolish games. No worries you won't have my business.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed by a policy I experienced today that frankly makes no sense from a customer service or common sense perspective. I am leaving 2 stars because I have been here two other times with no hiccups. I scheduled my dental appointment four months ago—right after my last visit. At that time, I confirmed the date, added it to my calendar, and committed to showing up. I did exactly what a responsible patient is supposed to do. Yet when I arrived, I was told my appointment had been canceled because I hadn’t confirmed again 24 hours prior. Excuse me? Since when did the responsibility shift from the office honoring the appointment to the patient having to reconfirm it or risk being canceled? Let’s be clear - if a patient wants to cancel, it’s their job to do so in advance. But requiring me to reconfirm something I already confirmed months ago or get canceled? That’s stupid. This kind of policy punishes the organized and responsible, and frankly, it feels dismissive. I made time, arranged my schedule, and showed up. The office didn’t honor their end of the deal. While I was rescheduled, the experience left a sour taste in my mouth and I honestly don’t think I’ll return. I hope this review prompts a rethink of that policy, because it’s alienating loyal patients who do their part.

Negative experience: Whoever books appointments should be fired. I called to reschedule, after a 30 min wait I opted for a call back. The call back came three hours later. I booked an appointment for the weekend online and two full days later I get a text from a “professionals” saying their online system magically messed up and that appointment was already taken. Note two days later! Sounded like someone who worked there wanted the appointment and bumped me. They lost my and my mother as a patient for this garbage. Poor customer service and bs games. I don’t have time for this.

Negative experience: As of now 1 star, I was under the impression I was getting my teeth cleaned the same day but all they did was evaluate my teeth. The lady couldn’t clean my teeth because she needed a minimum of 45 minutes and it was about to “close” it was 4:20. I also couldn’t use my free cleaning I have to first buy their deep cleaning because I have 4s,5s,and 6s whatever that means and then later if my teeth are “better” I can use my free cleaning. I’ll return tomorrow for my cleaning and post an update.

Negative experience: While I appreciated the professionalism and care provided by the hygienist during my visit, I am extremely disappointed with the billing process that followed. I was shocked to discover that I was charged over $500 for a deep cleaning, despite having insurance coverage. I made the payment using my FSA under the assumption that the necessary paperwork would be submitted to my insurance company to rectify the charges. However, to my dismay, no communication has been made with my insurance provider, and my FSA is now requesting documentation to verify the accuracy of the billing. Despite my numerous attempts to contact your office via phone and email, I have yet to receive a response as of today's date. This lack of communication and transparency is deeply concerning, and I am now faced with the financial burden of having to reimburse my FSA out of pocket. I find this situation unacceptable, and the lack of response or resolution from your office only adds to my frustration. Regrettably, based on this experience, I have lost trust in your office and will not be returning for any future dental services. Furthermore, I will not hesitate to share my negative experience with others and advise against seeking treatment at your facility. I urge you to prioritize this matter and promptly address the billing discrepancies with my insurance provider. Negative experience: Unfortunately I would have to say this office is very unprofessional. Advise that the paperwork was sent out as though it could have been spam. Did not want to open it, then the appointment was canceled do to not reconfirming an appointment that I set for myself after surgery. Negative experience: If I could leave 0 stars I would. If you don't need anything more than an exam and cleaning, don't come here. I had a good experience with the dentist and the assistants, they were great. But the women at the front office are horrible and unprofessional when it comes to handling business and issues. They were ALWAYS rude and combative and lied to me on several occasions. I had services done on Sept 28th 2024, it's now Feb 26 2025....still unresolved.

Negative experience: Disappointed with Service and Communication I had an appointment scheduled, but upon arrival, I was informed that the doctor on call does not accept my insurance. This was frustrating because the office had called me multiple times before the appointment but never asked for updated insurance information. Had they done so, I could have avoided the wasted time and inconvenience. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, blaming me for the situation instead of acknowledging the miscommunication on their end. A simple check ahead of time would have prevented this issue. If you’re considering this office, I’d recommend double-checking everything yourself because their communication and customer service leave a lot to be desired.

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment. It was booked online for the next afternoon. I was called the next morning and was offered an earlier appointment; great because I was in pain. The staff was very professional and accommodating for my comfort in the treatment room. The front office explained the payment plans available very clearly. Dr Monica was excellent, took her time explaining before she started. The extraction was quick and practically painless. Estrella, the hygienist was great and the advance online completion of the forms was super easy to navigate. I’m new in the area and they will definitely be my go to for future dental care.

Negative experience: Avoid Dr. Pham’s office at all costs. At my last visit, he numbed me so poorly that I couldn’t close my right eye afterward. I literally had to drive home with one eye open! To make it worse, he was having an inappropriate conversation with his assistant while injecting me incorrectly! I left that day knowing I needed to find a new dentist, which I did, and I wish I’d held him accountable. Now, they’re texting and emailing me a year later about a balance from January 2024, even though I was told everything was paid in full. This office is unprofessional and sketchy—go to Ideal Dental in Heath instead!

Negative experience: I asked multiple times to only receive services fully covered by my insurance. I always declined extra things that weren’t fully covered with the exception of 1 cavity that I used HSA funds to cover the gap in coverage. Every other time I finished my appointment, the front desk stated I was good to go and insurance would take care of it. Every single time, they’d send a bill. I specifically chose this place because it’s in network and was assured multiple times that my cleaning & x-rays would be 100% covered. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LIED TO AND PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE MOST BASIC CARE.

Fantastic experience: Ideal dental in Forney is great . I put off going to dentist due to a horrific experience I had at Perla dental in Terrell where they pulled a tooth and didn’t get it numb . I told the staff at ideal about that and they were very kind and patient with me . I had 2 teeth pulled at my visit and Dr Pham was very good to explain everything and check multiple times if I could feel anything or how I was doing . He listened very well . I would recommend trying here if you need a dentist but have been scared to go to a dentist or whatever .

Fantastic experience: Dr.Paul Pham and Diana were great they got me in x-rayed, numbed, tooth extracted and temporary bridge put on in about 2.5 hours total from when I walked in the door. They were both very nice the whole time and were patient to make sure that I was not in pain for the procedure, even stopping to give me more numbing stuff. They got my prescriptions sent to cvs and they were ready long before I arrived to pick them up. The front desk lady helped me find a financing option that worked for me so that I wouldn’t just leave with an extraction and a giant gap where my tooth used to be but a bridge as well! I would recommend them to anyone great team I’m very thankful they were so quick and thorough.

Fantastic experience: I have never enjoyed going to the dentist. I went to ideal this morning because i had the absolute worst tooth pain ever. I walked in, told them to get it pulled… the Doctor and his staff were amazing. I didn’t wait but more than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and they did absolutely everything to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Pham earned my trust. He took the time to explain every single part of the procedure, explained the best steps to take. Gave me options. He and his staff genuinely listened to my concerns. This was the absolute best experience I have ever had at a dentist. Absolutely no pain the entire time. I was nervous beyond belief but everything went perfect. Dr. Pham and his staff are my choice for the dentist, and I will 100% be returning to him for any/all dental needs for myself and my family.

Negative experience: The exam was fine as was the dental check by the doctor and the cleaning. However, I understand that dental hygienists and or dentists are to check our necks and jaws at the exterior of the face. It was after I left that I realized this was not provided. I am disappointed about that!

Negative experience: Patient care is not consistent. The Dentist reviewed my X-rays and looked at my teeth and said everything looked great and my cleaning should be fast and easy. I sat in the chair for 30 more minutes and the hygienist comes in spends 1 minute looking at my teeth and then says I need a deep cleaning, also need to purchase their new custom toothpaste, and someone will come in to discuss the costs for the additional work. I was there for 2 hours and never got my teeth cleaned.

Negative experience: I recently visited this dentist office for my routine cleaning, but my experience was extremely disappointing. During my visit, the hygienist recommended I undergo a deep cleaning, which my insurance would partially cover, leaving me with an out-of-pocket expense of $554. This was unexpected, as I anticipated no additional costs for a standard cleaning. When I declined the deep cleaning and requested to proceed with my regular cleaning, I was denied service by the receptionist. She stated that since I didn’t agree to the hygienist’s recommendation, they wouldn’t perform any cleaning at all. I’ve never encountered such a policy, and the whole experience left me feeling upset and mistreated. It’s shocking to think that a patient can be refused basic services like this. I left the office feeling disrespected and questioning if this practice is even legal. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this office, and I would caution others to consider their policies and treatment of patients before scheduling here.

They were comforting, clear in the procedures, and patient in ensuring I was comfortable with the level of pain management. I was having a terrible toothache; my appt was scheduled quickly, tooth extracted, and a crown placed on the adjacent tooth.

Negative experience: Horrible wait time. Dr. Pham was fantastic, but the other team members only cared about cleaning my teeth eventhough I wasn't there for that reason. My concern was ignored until I was getting upset. Staff is painfully incompetent particularly front desk lady (possibly named Leigh)

Negative experience: I will not be returning to this dental office. The hygienist would not give me a basic cleaning of my teeth because according to my x-rays she said I needed a deeper cleaning on my gums. I then had to wait for someone from the front to come present a treatment plan that I had to review and sign off on and agree to the deep cleaning (and payment out of pocket outside of my insurance plan). I asked if I could decline and get a basic cleaning of my teeth and was told no. At this point it had been a full hour that I was there and I still had not had my teeth cleaned. I agreed and had the deep cleaning done, but the whole experience just felt too much like a sales operation and not healthcare. The dentist said she found a small cavity, but I am going back to my old dentist for x-ray review and treatment.

Negative experience: I have been a long-time patient at Ideal Dental in Mansfield but recently relocated to Forney, so I scheduled an appointment at Ideal Dental Forney, as it’s closer to my new home. I made the appointment weeks in advance and received a text on October 9th requesting that I verify my insurance and confirm the appointment. I promptly called to verify my insurance and also responded to the text to confirm. However, the day before my scheduled appointment, I received a message stating that my appointment had been canceled due to a lack of confirmation. This was perplexing as I had already verified my insurance and confirmed the appointment via text. After calling the office, I was informed that the appointment had indeed been canceled, but after some discussion, it was reinstated. On the day of my appointment, I was informed that my insurance was listed as terminated, which was incorrect. It took 15 minutes for the staff to verify my active coverage, and my appointment proceeded as scheduled. Following the exam, I requested a copy of the details for my records, as this information is required for my workplace wellness program. I was told it would take three days to receive the information via email. After five days had passed with no email, I called again and was assured the documents would be sent by the end of the day. Unfortunately, the end of the day never came and now it’s the day after. This level of miscommunication and delay is highly frustrating, especially when this documentation is time-sensitive. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and timely delivery of my records.

Fantastic experience: The staff did a great job cleaning and checking my teeth. The hygienist did a great job of getting down deep into my teeth and giving my teeth a very clean feeling. And they did all of this in just 30 minutes including the very short wait time. Very happy with my experience!!

Negative experience: This dentist did only x-rays of my teeth and told me they could not do a regular cleaning of the teeth and that it would be almost $900 out of pocket to do a deep cleaning. Then I overheard them tell another patient next door to the little cubicle of a room I was in the same exact thing. I believe they are just trying to hassle money out of people and it’s not right. I will not rate it any stars unless it makes me then I will give it one star. I don’t recommend anybody coming here unless they are wealthy and don’t really care about the cost of things!

Fantastic experience: First visit, staff was very friendly and helpful. My appointment was at 1:00, I was called back round 7-10 min later which wasn't too bad. The doctor was nice and allowed be shared my concerns and then explained everything the xrays shows. Afterwards I was giving a breakdown of everything. My only concern is I have 3 dental insurances and was told that they could only use 2 because the system would only allow 2. Something is wrong with this picture. Was told that they will contact head office for a workaround. We shall see.

Negative experience: Usually it seems like a fair place, but I'm starting to feel like it's more like an impersonal upsale office now. So, originally I asked for the appointment to be moved to a later time in the day, I was told at 845 there were no afternoon slots that day. After I arrived for my 9 am appt and there was a delay in staff being able to perform their recommended deep cleaning, they offered me to come back at 1430. Amazing how that works. So, they wanted to charge me for a missed appoint if I didn't make it, but when they didn't have the adequate staff to handle the clientele- now there are afternoon slots. Pretty disappointing. Also, sat for 15-20 mins in a chair having waiting for information, to be told for the recommended deep cleaning I wouldn't be seen for 30 mins more, which is why they offered me to come back later in the day. Think I'll try other options in the area to compare the service.

Fantastic experience: Experience was great. I felt a welcoming environment when I walked through the front door and spoke to the desk ladies. Karina took my x-rays and helped me through parts of the process. She was thorough and professional , as well as some other staff I talked to. 10/10 :)

Fantastic experience: I want to start by saying I have NEVER had great experiences at dentists, before going to Ideal Dental clinics (Sunnyvale and Forney locations). Saturday, September 28th, 2024, I went in with really bad tooth pain stemming from a bad cavity in a wisdom tooth. Dr. Pham and the dental assistant Carina took wonderful care of me, both reassuring me, and not degrading me for my poor teeth (lifelong health issues mixed with bad self care the last few years attributing to this). Carina stayed by my side and helped keep me calm, reassuring me every step of the way, and was simply amazing with bed side manners and knowledge. Dr. Pham was very quick, understanding, informative, and had great bedside manners as well. I also called up there today to ask some follow up questions from my procedure, and Dr Pham listened and answered every question, and helped me out quickly and efficiently. Ideal dental will now be the first dental clinic I EVER refer to anyone, and I will continue to go here for all of my dental needs! Thank you for making this overly nervous girl feel comfortable and accepted in your clinic!
