Negative experience: I was told a certain procedure was not going to be paid for under my Aetna insurance because it wasn't really a dental plan. I was told this by the insurance person. Then I asked her why then does she have a credit from them after they paid something. She said she'd call me back. It's been a week and she still hasn't called me back.

Fantastic experience: I was not a real fan of dentists over the years and spent most of my time in areas overseas where you don’t get the chance to go anywhere outside of the country just for the dental work. I retired in August and went to Crosby family dental because I broke one of my teeth in the front of my mouth, it was so easy and everyone was so pleasant and made me feel so relaxed even though I was allergic to pain. It turned out to be the decision I made taking care of all my dental work and only in a few appointments, thanks to Dr shah, all the nurses and staff for helping me become a fan of my dental care and especially honoring my allergy to pain. Great job to all the staff at Crosby family dental. You all rock, keep up your great work and customer support and care.

Negative experience: This office is always behind. The dentist is always running Late. My son and I waited a hour for the dentist and we were the first appointment of the day. The response the office gave about giving each person more time is false. My family and I have always felt rushed. I am updating this on 9/17 due to this office losing my child’s paperwork. Upon my child first visit we spent 1.5hrs there (my baby was 6months) and we completed paperwork. Today we come in and we are told they have no paperwork and that my child is a new patient. You all are violating HIPPA LAWS. This is not the first time this has occurred. Our personal data and information should not be getting lost in translation. There is a third party scheduler they use who asks for your drivers license and insurance prior to arrival. I was told today that the link is not connected to our patient portals (stated by receptionist) therefore we don’t know who our drivers license or insurance information is going to. In other words leave that blank, they ask for it again in the office. The dental assistants are all nice and there is one employee at checkout that is a sweetheart. Keep track of your own information when dealing with the office the right hand never knows what the left is doing.

Fantastic experience: Recommend this office for sure. Scheduling an appointment was prompt for a tooth extraction (next day after calling them I think). Once there they listened to my ‘dental anxiety’ and concerns and DR Shah did not pitch me any nonsense to create more work. No pain when they yanked a tooth! Brina and Hanna were outstanding. Go there if ya need friendly painless dental work.

When I arrived to Crosby family dental Lexi was very welcoming and making sure I was looked at quickly and when leaving kaytlin made sure we had everything straightened for our next visit. Positive experience: I was called to the back quickly after arriving. X-rays were taken. I was led to another place to lay in a chair and wait and wait and wait, finally the doctor came in felt my gums and proceeded to tell me I didn’t have enough bone for dentures although I’ve been wearing dentures for years and recently lost them during a move. He said he could recommend me to a specialist and said someone would get that for me and then the wait began and after about 15 minutes and no one saying anything to me I got up and walked out. Needless to say I wasn’t happy so my search for another Dr begins

Positive experience: The staff and hygienist are so sweet and amazing! Would have been five stars but both times that I’ve gone there’s been an entire family next to me with the patient getting dental work done. I do not want someone’s children staring at me while I’m getting MY dental work done. If a child is not the patient they need to be kept in the waiting room or left at home. I do not like the lack of privacy and the noise of fussy screaming children two feet away from me, but the dentist and the staff themselves and their work are amazing! That’s the only thing that I would change.

Fantastic experience: I had a truly wonderful experience here. I actually found myself bragging to my fiancé about how comfortable and at ease I felt during the entire visit. Every single person on the team was incredibly kind and welcoming. Kayla, the hygienist, was especially amazing—she walked me through each step of the process and went out of her way to ensure I felt completely comfortable. She was thorough, thoughtful, and hands down the best I’ve ever had.

Fantastic experience: Let me tell you how Dr. Woodside & Ms. Brina saved me. On May 9, 2025 I woke up excited because this was the day I was scheduled for my root canal at an office I won't mention. My appointment was for 9:30am, I was there early, the pain was unbearable and I just had enough. The surgeon didn't see me until 12:30pm. I going the chair and they began prepping me, me being unaware of how things go, I had no idea that their presentation was unprofessional. The aid began applying the numbing gel on me and the surgeon started inserting the needle in what I know now was my blood vessel. I immediately felt pain,she poked me 2 more times. My throat started closing and my fingers began being numb, all of which they stated was normal. The concern rose when my blood pressure went from 122/77 to over 201... They immediately gave me oxygen and didn't continue the service. I had to be rushed to the ER and they gave me to pain shots to subside the pain I was feeling and a pill.... That only lasted 20min after discharge. I was in the fetal position by this time crying my eyes out. The only thing that helped me was peppermint Altoids (by the way this is a temporary pain reliever)... My sister prayed for me constantly and my niece called every dentist from Baytown to Houston everyone turned us down, by this time I only wanted a extraction. Our last call and the call I only can describe as God send. Was Crosby Family Dental. Dr. Woodside was leaving to go home when his office got my call. He and Ms Brina stayed and waited for me. After explaining what happened he reassured me that he will fix the problem, and apologized for the other dentist mishaps. All I can say is this man hands are gifted, the entire procedure was painless. They were singing gospel music while doing the procedure. I am forever grateful for this dentistry and they will forever have my business .... Dr. Woodside and his dentist family are a family of faith, wisdom, and courage... So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Love Kelly....

I see Dr woodside..he is very patient and gentle and really attentive to make sure you're not in pain while he's working on you he stopped and gives you more numbing medicine if you need it and he tells you what he's doing while he's doing it makes you feel more relaxed and his assistant b r i n a is very sweet I definitely recommend them if you're afraid of the dentist they'll make you feel so comfortable you won't be afraid anymore and they even help you to do financing if you're having something done that's expensive they'll work with you

Negative experience: They told me to come 10 minutes early. I came fifteen minutes early.They were twenty minutes late, getting my child in there.Took them two hours to just clean his teeth.Did not fix the cavities, or the tooth that I told them on the phone and in person, and he also told them too my child also told me they were taking a long time to even get to him and he was sitting there by himself.Keep in mind, my child is seventeen so he's just not a little baby, that's unpatient then they bring me a bill that says four thousand dollars and says, I have to pay half and do a payment plan, even though he's on medicaid!!! They kept saying they will come bring him to the back.In a minute, every time I asked when they were going to get him so yeah, it was twenty minutes long.I'm just waiting and two hours to clean his teeth

Negative experience: Terrible practice. Scheduled an appointment for my wife and child and waited for a week to get in only to be told the day of that they had given our appointments to someone else because we didn’t answer their call the day before. I’ve a chronic illness and my wife works nights and we are not always available to answer our phones. I’ve never had a doctor cancel my appointment without my knowledge because they feel their customers must be at their beck and call. Won’t be going back and recommend others find another clinic.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shah and Brina took care of me on my last visit. Like always Dr. Shah was super attentive and caring. Brina really went above and beyond for me! After my procedure, Brina massaged my face and jaw. For a second there I forgot I was at the dentist! Just amazing!

Negative experience: Scheduling is a nightmare! I have tried twice in the past year to get both my daughters scheduled together with issues. 1st time before school started I made an appt. And the afternoon before they call to say there would be no dentist. Next available was after school started. I already requested that day off made plans for doctors appts as well so I can get this all taken care off at once. Here we are again 9 months later let’s try this again sure enough I schedule both am getting confirmation text about one appt. So I call and they do not have the other on the schedule. I have once again made arrangements with my job. furious!!!

Negative experience: Dentist and hygienists are wonderful , professional, organized and prompt. The front staff is what negatively affects this review. Incompetency, a position of blaming the patient for lack of knowledge and process, and wants to argue. I provided the text confirmations of the appointment. The audacity to say it wasn't confirmed after I showed the confirmation of appointment texts, then to after showing proof of active insurance straight from dental card and the insurance member site , they still wanted to argue. They finally called the insurance to say it was an issue on their end. While I understand hiccups, you don't try to argue or create a cause for contention with the patient. A dental office should be customer service oriented and solution based, not point the finger at customer

Negative experience: Anyone else let them sign you up for the no Interest financing through Team Care credit? Not only did I get charged interest, they also added some insurance in the event I lost my job! I absolutely did not agree to. Payment was taken monthly from my bank account, and the amount taken was based on being able to pay it off with no interest! They paid the interest, and fraudulently paid some insurance and what little was left went towards the actual payment! Now I have to counter sue, and sue Crosby Family as well for misleading financial information. What a nightmare over some cheap plastic teeth! Anyone who encountered this same fraud please reach out to me! Looking for victims that are experiencing this as well!
