Fantastic experience: This was my first visit. It was awesome! Dr Richter took her time to explain everything in detail. I was very impressed with the entire staff. The service is exceptional! Never thought I’d be so excited to go to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: The doc and staff are very friendly and caring. My mom has medical issues, the staff took good care of her and didn’t act like they doing us a favor in seeing her. They were accommodating to her medical needs and basically treated her like family, which is why we drive an hour away to come to Lake District Family Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Lake District Family Dentistry accomplishes the impossible by making dentist visits a true pleasure. All of the staff are very attentive and friendly, and I’m never left languishing in some Purgatorial waiting room. I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen, and the environment is super clean and smells like magnolia blossoms. Dr. Mangum is fantastic and always asks how my garden center business is going. In summation, you owe it to yourself to be their client. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Fantastic experience: I had so much trouble finding or having to wait years for my special needs daughter to see a dentist because she needed to be sedated. Finally found this place and it was the Best experience her and I have ever had throughout her whole life! We live in Slidell but will continue to drive for this kind of care and understanding they have for a child like mine. So many thanks to these wonderful people!!!

Everything felt very state of the art, with advanced equipment and an organized & consistent layout all operations appeared systematically seamless! As a new patient, I especially appreciated being able to expedite the intake form process! I was in & out with x-rays done, a full treatment plan & my next appt booked (for the very next day!) all in less than an hour! The entire staff were extremely professional and incredibly personable. It was genuinely a pleasant and comfortable experience in all aspects. Considering the entire process paired with my results, I (happily) paid (reasonably) out of pocket! **This is a genuine review to acknowledge an efficient workplace that effectively implements consistency in every facet of its operations. Positive experience: I’ve always had a fear of going to the dentist at an early age but from the very start, that fear has diminished. The staff and dentists are all so friendly and accommodating with my crazy schedule. They are truly concerned with the care they provide each time that I go. I would highly recommend them for the whole family.

She was so gracious when I contacted her on a Monday night and she assured me that I would be taken care of by getting an appointment scheduled for me the next day. Fantastic experience: I CAN NOT say enough about my awesome first experience with Lake District Dentistry, Dr Mangum and Hygienist Danielle!! From the first phone call to the office, all the way to scheduling on the way out after my appointment, everyone has been so professional, friendly, and amazingly thorough and informative! The wait to go back into clinical area was minimal and once I was back, I knew I was in good hands! Danielle made me feel very comfortable despite all my dental concerns, and Dr Mangum…I could go on forever!!!! He is beyond Awesome! When I say he made me feel extremely confident about the treatment outlined it would be an understatement!! NO Upselling there, the prices were very reasonable, and there were no surprises when it came to estimated out of pocket expenses, it was all broken down and explained in a treatment plan estimate. I will recommend Lake District Dentistry to everyone that will listen!!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and personable Dentists and staff. Appointments on time. Chose to have my dental work under anesthesia and couldn’t be more pleased. Dental work looks great and natural. If there is a negative it would be it’s a little pricey but I found it worth it.

Fantastic experience: I needed to schedule a last minute dental cleaning for my son and the Hygiene Scheduling Coordinator Morgan was fantastic! Super sweet and accommodating!! I also was able to schedule myself an appointment with Dr. Richter and her coordinator Megan found the perfect appointment day and time for me! Everyone in this office goes above and beyond!!! Negative experience: Due to recent changes in their policy with paperwork I am having to downgrade my review with them to a 1 star review. They asked me to provide my SSN through an email and DOB. This is beyond unreasonable as emails are not the most secure way of giving this information as I have been hacked before. They did not allow me the opportunity to give the information in person on the day of my appointment, stating that this was their new policy. I was then dismissed and told that my appointment was canceled until I did as they told me to do on the email. I had even arrived 10 minutes early to give them the information that they had requested but again they did not allow me to do so stating that I had to email it. I have been a customer of theirs for over 30 years and it does not make sense to me that they would require such private information be divulged through an email.

Fantastic experience: Excellent first visit for someone who has anxiety. Ms Courtney was very patient and thorough with explaining my options, ensuring I was comfortable with them and the initial exam. I’ve avoided the dentist for years now but am agreeable with multiple visits here to fix my issues which is something I never would have thought possible before. 5/5/22 update Had a cavity in a wisdom tooth. Since it’s a wisdom tooth, it might as well go instead of being filled because they can cause problems down the road. I’m a huge coward when it comes to anything dental, especially the thought of having one pulled, so I chickened put a year until it got bad. They were as gracious and nice as my last visits, numbing the area thoroughly via a swab (if there was a shot, I never felt it) and then extracting the tooth when I was as ready as I’d get, doing their best to put me at ease through banter and light jokes. I had always heard an extraction was horrible with a log of wiggling the tooth and feeling the roots creak but all I felt was some pressure and when the dentist put gauze in the area, I thought he was trying to get a better grip on the tooth but it was over, it was out. Still not something I want to go through again but if it’s necessary, I’m going back here. Going to the dentist as a kid was a horrible experience and I likely wouldn’t have this phobia if I went to this place instead. They’re very professional, friendly and caring. Highest possible recommendation for them. 5/8/25 update Just got home from an appointment for a cleaning and to fix an area that’s been bothering me. Like always, the staff is friendly, polite and professional. Ms Danielle is very quick and thorough with cleaning and is quick to pause for you to rest if you show any signs of pain or anxiety. Dr Carlton touched up an area with a filling in no time. Highly recommend this place as the staff is amazing.

Negative experience: I was treated horribly at this practice then fired as a patient AFTER I told them I wouldn’t be returning because of how I was treated. The staff at this practice are rude, petty, unprofessional, & don’t communicate very well (if at all) with their patients. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was welcomed from day one. The Ambiance of the facility the respect and manners from the staff who said hello and good bye at each visit. They comforted me when I was a little scared. The most of all Dr. Mangum explain every procedure step by step and always asked if there were any questions. Explains each procedure before it was done and was honest saying “ it might hurt a little! “ He is down to earth and not conceited at all!!! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: I’m extremely anxious when it comes to going to the dentist!! The faculty here was so nice, understanding, attentive & really showed me that they were actively listening to me. I didn’t have to remind them of my initial issues or anything, they remembered everything I said on the phone when making my appointment & the appointment wait for a new patient was very short, I was able to get in to see them the very next week!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I were referred to Lake District by a co-worker. We were both struggling with dental issues and had not had great experiences leading up to our first visit on 11/11/24. By far this was the BEST decision we could have made for our oral health and hygiene. We were greeted with a friendly smile and a positive, caring staff. The biggest take away was the sincere concern they had for the best course of action for us both. They listened to what we had to say and then created a plan that would fit both of our desires. As working parents, it is hard for us to get time off, yet the staff took the time to set up visits around our schedules. That alone deserves a 5 star rating! I will conclude by highlighing Dr.Carlton and his team of wonder women's attention to detail and pride in their craft.
