Negative experience: I have no idea how this place has such high ratings. The wait times are astronomical. I had an appointment at 11am. Despite already confirming my appointment over text, they called me the day before to confirm once again. The day of, I check in and am not seen my the dentist for over 1.5 hours. I will come back and update this review since it's 12:30pm, yet I am STILL waiting to see the dentist. Do not come here.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience at this dental office! The entire team was welcoming and professional from start to finish. Alejandra was especially wonderful—she was friendly, patient, and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. She explained everything clearly and helped ease my nerves. Negative experience: My 90-year old mother had a 1 pm appointment and it was 2:30 and they still hadn’t seen or called her! every time i ask they say she is next. This by far the longest we have ever waited, the longest at another place was half hour and the staff let us know and apologized. what is up with this kind of service? totally wasting time especially as we arrived before 1 pm to fill out the forms. We finally said we couldn’t wait anymore because my mother was getting very hungry and tired (she’s 90!) and i asked to have all the papers that i filled out because she made it clear we WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE! They refused to give the papers back and one of the front desk ladies asked if i wanted to talk to the manager. i said YES even though my mother was adamant about leaving ASAP. Then the lady gave me back the paperwork that i filled out. i asked where the manager was and Wow, she was rude. She made me wait and then told me she was at lunch. when i asked why she didn't tell me sooner she said "whatever!" Seriously?!? that attitude! No apologies but pure rudeness.We left after waiting over 1 hour, 40 minutes. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!! can’t believe it. Reading other 1 star reviews completely validates our experience. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO OTHER OPTION!

Negative experience: Honestly as a first time patient, this was not a great experience. Appointment was at 11 , so I arrived 10 minutes prior because I know usually for medical appointments there’s paperwork to fill out. Coming in, no one greeted me in but security who then instructed me to go inside the office. The check in process wasn’t bad, waited until a front desk representative was available, paperwork/insurance was given so far not too bad, a regular appointment routine. Around 12:00, an RDA comes out to inform another patient and myself they are backed up (their lunch break was also coming up) and informed me it would take until 1:30 to 2 to be seen. Didn’t fuss over it, I understand that it takes time for these type of appointments. I asked if it was okay to come back, he said “Yes, that’s okay I will let the front desk know” to be back at that time. I even tried calling to confirm but went straight to an operator. I arrived back at 1:30 and front desk mentioned they’ve been calling my name and to have a seat. Here I’m questioning if the RDA notified them I would be back. 6+ have already been called up (still trying to understand as there are other patients waiting). Called my name at 2:35 to confirm I was there? (Even though I had already checked in at 1:30) I wasn’t seen after 3:50… 4-5 hours to be seen by the dentist…. Not at least a phone call from them to check in. I don’t usually leave reviews. The office may be having “ one of those days”, however a little more consideration to the patient’s time would be great. ******** Will be looking for a better option than here.

Positive experience: I’m thankful they were able to get me in quickly, as I came in as a first time emergency patient. I appreciate that the dentist recommended an alternative treatment to what my previous dentist suggested. So far, I’m satisfied with this dental office and plan to continue coming here. However, I do believe the customer service could be a bit more friendly and personable. But overall, it was a decent visit. Update: I switched over to the location in huntington park. I felt as though it was more convenient for me to. The customer services is exceptional over here!

Negative experience: The two Front desk receptionists are rude and very unhelpful.. Walked in and neither one acknowledged me just had me stand there waiting for about 10min till i finally walked up to ask for help.. The receptionist said am helping other patients even though no one was at the desk but me, she was blatantly ignoring me and the other receptionist was just on her phone not paying any attention or care to her position... Would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone.. This is the second or third encounter i've had with them and was the same bad attitude...

Fantastic experience: My service with Ambrie has always been exceptional. She is very friendly and remembers me and my kids each time we visit. Dentists are always informative and thorough with exams. The only down side is that although I have an appointment, I am never called in at my appointment time. I have consistently had to wait over an hour to be called in. With multiple kids and myself that adds up to many wasted hours.

Negative experience: Everytime I come to the Vermont Office it's always something! I'm extremely frustrated and wished I'd looked around a bit more before choosing this location. Figured that because it's in the community, I was winning. Nah, not so! And this is only my Son's 4th visit. But payments for his braces get taken out of my acct every month. This is nutts!

Negative experience: I few years ago I and my children (family of 6) use to go to this dental and ortho place for dental care over all. They had very bad customer service, long waiting, they would take long attending patients over the phone. They had some employees with bad customer service. I switch my children and self to west coast dental and they are very good assisting patients over all and good services. Today 2/22/25 they were going to charge my son for some treatments that he did not need. Their error was fixed by a treatment coordinator before they even did the wrong treatment and on time before my son payed too. Ortho department has very bad customer service. once my son ends his braces treatment we all for sure never going back to this place. Such a very bad experience and bad customer services. If employees don’t like their job or are bad at it they should not work there! I would never recommend this place to people at all.

Positive experience: My appointment was at 9:30 a.m., and I’m still waiting, and it’s 11:36 a.m. I like that they are professional and have a great team, but they have to do better with time management because I shouldn’t have to wait two hours when I only need an extraction. It’s ridiculous!

Negative experience: They tried to remove 6/8 teeth that didn't need no removing and gave me 2 rootcanals with the knowledge of knowing i knowing i will not get any crowns any time soon and now i need extractiona on those 2 teeth and when they tried pulling a teeth out it left me in pain for days

Negative experience: Total Dental Care on Vermont and Slauson is the worst dental office in Los Angeles. They are shaddy in their office. They tried to defruad my medical by double charging for x rays and other services. They need to be investigated by Medical and need to be shut down. Don't go there. Negative experience: Don't waste your time coming to this clinic, they are very unprofessional. I had a bad experience here. They only gave me appointments and they never attended to me and they never called me to tell me not to go. They supposedly needed approval from the insurance company but they never sent anything. Negative experience: Stay away! Beware of tactics! If I wasn’t in urgent need of a dentist, I would have walked away… but I made the mistake of staying for the 2-hour wait and 2-minute appointment…. TLDR; they’ll press hard to sell services I said I did not want ($500 mouth guard, $500 Zoom teeth whitening… etc.) and the dentist was very dismissive of my concerns. They make money off of XRays and panoramic XRays (panoramic xrays are not necessary every visit) —- The front desk person was as clear as mud about what they’d charge me out of pocket and what was going to be covered by insurance. In fact, I called my insurance from their waiting room and clarified that the dentist office shouldn’t be billing out of pocket this way… very shady…! Waiting room was FULL! And wait was over an hour from appointment time. Actual dental work is akin to a drive-in dinner where you park somewhere and you get viewed for all of a minute… Dentist speaks poorly through the mask and was annoyed when I asked him to repeat himself (didn’t even catch his name). He was dismissive of my concerns and didn’t explain why he was recommending all of these “treatments” and 500-dollar mouth guard other than “I recommend this to most my patients”…. But I don’t grind my teeth…!!! So why do I need a guard?

Negative experience: This deserves less than 1 star, the waiting time is too long, my appointment was at 11:30 am and at 2:30 they saw me and so that the supposedly specialist doctor only took less than 3 minutes and she just referred me to another place, no. I can believe it, I lost a day of work and for nothing.

Negative experience: If you're coming here for ortho work, don't! You'll find yourself regularly waiting upwards of 30+ minutes for appointments scheduled a month ago. Additionally the men working in the ortho office are heavy handed. Definitely get a second opinion somewhere else, I'm SURE you can find a cheaper, way better alternative, I was just desperate.

Negative experience: This maybe be a good facility. But in my recent visits with my wife needing a root canal, and in severe pain l, they scheduled her a procedure two months out. Also gave her a prescription for Motrin that couldn’t be filled because the it wasn’t filled out correctly. Also didn’t prescribe her any antibiotics. Called them back and was on hold for way too long. This dentist shouldn’t be your first option, as they don’t seem to take people’s pain and suffering into consideration.

Negative experience: Despite confirming the price on phone twice, Maria rudely told me there was an additional new patient price for X-rays despite me only wanting retainers, not to join as a new patient. I said this on the phone and was never given any information about additional charges for things I didn’t need. Maria dismissed my complaint as if I should’ve known this. The cost of my retainers would have gone up from $350 to $500 with the new Xray charge. On the bright side, Dr. Kim was very kind and thorough, a fabulous doctor. Maria and the front desk staff need to be more organized and upfront about ALL costs.

Negative experience: I’m wondering if this reviews are from real customers or just the stuff members doing a ofavor to this place. Idk ♀️ where to start but first FRONT DESK SUCKS Feel bad for the doctors and assistant. (It would be so much easier if they explain to the patient what’s going on, that just leaving them waiting for hours.) Receptionist are so lost. They don’t communicate each other. Even the Dentist didn’t know where was my daughter file. ♀️ If you make an appointment you wont pass after 2 hours if you are LUCKY. Meanwhile I was waiting beside me. I saw and heard so many complaints and customers getting mad and frustrated other ones decided to leaving. I had to wait sadly but trust me I’m not coming BACK…. Hope the front Desk gets a better management soon. She looks so lost and frustrated.

Fantastic experience: Thank you for your incredible pediatric services! My 2 year old was referred here because his assigned dentist did not specialize in children. We saw Dr. Katayoun Tajik and feel blessed that we scheduled an appointment for the same day we called. This was after getting approvals. Dr. Tajik was kind and professional, and brought 2 trucks for my son to have. We ended up having to both sit on the dentist chair for his teeth to be examined cause my little man moves around so much. I have to hand it to Dr. Tajik for her approach and skills in checking out my son’s teeth. The receptionists were super friendly! You can tell they do a LOT so please be patient and maybe call back another time or day if you’re not getting through. When we arrived they had a man dressed as Mario making balloon swords for the kids, we really appreciated that. I honestly loved how there were 2 waiting rooms. One of them was off to the side where we stayed and could play without bothering waiting patients. Plenty of street parking out front and also around the block.

Negative experience: I thought 4.6 rating means a good service here. But it was a mess the receptionist provided. First, I had an appointment 2 months ago while I showed my insurance ID. Then 2 days before appointment, got a call asking my insurance information again?? Second, I came to my appointment, and told my benefit is not at this office even though my hus as the main account holder has moved here, which means what’s the point that I waited 2 months for my appointment for? meaningless, and careless is the attitude of their work. Third, trying to get money in all possible ways even though I just came to clean! Greedy. So disappointed with the whole process, and their unprofessional working style. Not even wanna give 1 star to this dental office. Poor service!!!!

Fantastic experience: I was very satisfied with the level of service and care I received from Total Care Dental. I mean, everyone just took good care of me from the start. The ladies at the front desk smiled and said, “hello” once I walked in. That’s hard to beat because nobody likes to speak these days. I don’t care who you are – a customer – an employee - or whoever – people just don’t speak, but they did. Much respect for that. Thank you, ladies. Arturo was professional. His communication was also amazing! My temporary mold fell out and he was just so great at letting me know it wasn’t a problem and that they were going to do their best to take care of me, which they did. Lastly, Dr. Aryan. He’s a very nice guy. He works hard just like everyone else. What I appreciate the most about him is his ability to show he really cares. I was slightly concerned about my colored tooth & metal crown, and he just did his best to put me at ease. Once my procedure was done, he said, “Okay, we’re done Mr. Harris. It looks better than we expected. I don’t know if what he said was true, but I though what he said was a good touch because he could tell I was concerned, but after he said that. He put me at ease and made me feel better. I just want to say thanks to everyone for all that you did. I will definitely be back and will continue to give you guys praise when you do good work. Positive experience: Aubrey helped me with my Invisalign and it she made it an easy process. This place does a great job with appointment reminders, they have a great office environment. I never spend more than 10-15 min waiting in the lobby when I have my appointments. The staff here is great. I’ve gotten to know the assistants very well.

Negative experience: They told me I needed authorization from my insurance in order to extract my wisdom tooth and made me wait 3 weeks in pain for my appointment. By the time the appointment comes, apparently they never sent out the authorization so I couldn't have it done. I don't like negligence so I requested my X-rays in order to transfer to another dental office and not deal with their awful customer service. The X rays copies costed 25$ on the day I asked in person, but the day I requested over the phone they told me that the cost was 50$ (? This is not a serious business. I won't come back.

Negative experience: Front desk workers always rude I don’t really like going to this location for this reason but it’s the closest to my house doctors sometimes rude but front desk so rude with attitude today I went to my appointment at 9 AM. Asked the front desk receptionist blonde hair girl if she knew what time would they call me to go inside because my appointment was at 9:03 am yes it was barely 9 AM but still, they didn’t take me in until 20 minutes later which I understand it’s busy but you could let us know in advance because we do have other things to do as well so rude she said that it was really 9 which doesn’t make sense because my appointment was at 9 AM so why does it say 9 AM then you guys should let people know that it’s going to take 10 to 20 minutes there’s no point people arriving early for their appointment then. And she could’ve said it in a nicer way and I wouldn’t even be bothered because I would try to understand but her little attitude got me.

Fantastic experience: I like this place they are efficient and sure to get what you need done if you show up. And make sure that your visit is as pain free as can be. And will save your teeth in a hurry. Quality work. And if you have the right staff you'll leave with a smile. I had my first laugh at the dentist while getting 4 root canals my endodontist reached for a new tool. As she glanced up at the television directly in front of her She exclaimed "Wow! Blue and Green Elephants I've never seen those! Wow!" She was like a child who had just discovered Santa Claus was real. We laughed so hard.
