Fantastic experience: Our orthodontist referred us to Dr. Patel for my teenage son to get either a bridge or a flipper tooth, until he's old enough for a ceramic implant. We've been down this road before with a couple other dentists, but weren't pleased with the information, recommendations or products they delivered. I was hopeful, but skeptical, that this visit would be any different, but am so pleased to say it was amazing! We weren't established patients of his, nor were we guaranteed to use him, but he treated us as if we'd been there for years. He took so much time with us, educated us on the pros and cons of each option, and even though it was far less expensive for one of the options (the flipper), he convinced us that it would be the better option for us. So that is what we chose to do, and it was far better than the original one we had made at another practice. Fast forward a couple of months, Dr. Patel was experimenting with making certain dental devices using a 3D printer. He offered to make a bridge for our son to see how it would work, knowing we had his flipper tooth as a backup. It's incredible!! It looks great and completes his smile in a way we didn't think would be possible until he's ready for an implant. He is THRILLED with his new smile, and we can tell it was a real confidence booster. We absolutely loved our experience with Dr. Patel's, and appreciate his ingenuity, his creativity, and his compassion for his patients. We highly recommend him and wouldn't hesitate to return for any future needs.

I actually enjoy going for my exams and treatments! Yesterday's appointment was with Lindsey. The time I spent with her was over almost too quickly! We chatted and laughed while she gave my teeth an expert (and gentle) cleaning. Dr. Patel and his staff have repaired teeth and made crowns for me several times. They know the best of modern dentistry and continually upgrade their equipment. I can't recommend them too highly.

I was super nervous about a new dentist, but my fears were allayed quickly when I met Dr Patel. What a great guy, the practice is like a big family, and the hygienists are all so nice it’s hard to say which hygienist you’d want to schedule with! My husband and I are really happy (and comfortable) with our choice, and 100% trust this practice with our teeth. My boys are teens and they have had great experience here, too. Maybe too good of an experience… I was hoping filling a cavity would “teach a lesson” but they made it painless. UGH

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I’d stumbled into the set of a dental-themed wellness retreat. Calming decor. Noise-canceling headphones. Cozy blankets. A paraffin hand treatment like I was checking into a spa instead of surrendering to the twice a year scraping. They don't judge me when I ask for laughing gas because it's like they get it. This is hard. Not for most people, but for me. And the staff? Gentle in a way that felt almost sacred, like they’d been trained by a team of therapists, flight attendants, and maybe Mister Rogers himself. And not once—NOT A SINGLE TIME—did anyone make me feel like a failure for the state of my gums or the very evident fact I don't floss regularly (err, hardly ever). No lectures. No sighs. If they could figure out how to make it not smell like a dentist’s office when you walk in, I might actually ask if they offer a membership plan. And I’d sign up. Willingly. Probably. Because here’s the thing: I didn’t just leave with clean teeth. I left a little bit healed. Fantastic experience: Where do I start?! Back in 2023 my employer's benefits department invited Dr. Patel to make a presentation to my colleagues and me. The title of the presentation was "biting into health". The presentation was engaging, Dr Patel really knew what he was talking about and seemed very passionate about oral health. For the following almost 2 years, I tried to convince my dentist to look into Dr Patel's insights and recommendations to see if I could benefit from them. For that whole period, my dentist kept ignoring my requests to even be referred to a specialist for evaluation. I ended up taking matters into my own hands, and reaching out to Dr Patel's practice - Dentistry at East Piedmont. After 2 visits, I have spent more time with the team than I spent with my previous dentists in a year. This office doesn't just take your money, do a quick cleaning and send you on your way. They take the time to educate you and give you options and recommendations. They use the latest technology in the industry and have the most pleasant staff I have ever come across at a dental office. If you need help and your dentist is not addressing your concerns, I highly recommend consulting this dental office. I should have done it faster but the past belongs in past. I took my sedated mother here (they offer sedated oral care for anxiety) and they were able to fit me in during her appointment too. Since then, I’ve gotten fillings done and am now staying up to date with regular cleanings. They do not make you feel bad about anything relating to your oral health and even offer a hot wax dip for your hands. I recommend this place to anyone needing dental care (specifically Maria and Dr. Patel) especially if you have anxiety about going to the dentist! Also I have never had issues with wait times at all!

Their treatment suggestions have always been very reasonable and I’ve never felt like I was being pushed to fix something that wasn’t a problem just so they’d be able to make money on it. I also let them know my family was dealing with a family medical emergency at my last appointment and they sent me an extremely thoughtful gift. I am blown away by how much effort they put into giving me and my family an amazing experience. This place rocks!

Fantastic experience: Update: April 21, 2025: Here is an update to my previous review. I can see it said I'd been going for 21 years, but now I'm up to 24 years. Another great visit which also included my Fiancé on her first visit. It's always great to catch up with Dr. Patel and his team at Dentistry at East Piedmont. What can I say about Dr. Patel, Janeime, Tara and everyone else that works at Dentistry at East Piedmont. They've been seeing me for 21 years. They're awesome, nice, professional and like a 2nd family. Once my kids become adults, they'll have 3 more patients. :-)

The staff was amazing and had everything well organized every step of the way. My hygienist, Maria, was awesome during the exam explaining everything, every step of the way. Dr. Patel was awesome. Incredibly welcoming and informative during my x rays Report of finding and was clear about what he recommended for my particular situation. I highly recommend this practice. Fantastic experience: My dentist of 30 plus years closed his practice unexpectedly due to circumstances beyond his control. A friend of mine referred me to Dentistry of East Piedmont and I am beyond pleased with my first visit for a routine cleaning last week. The office and staff are very nice and the dentist I saw was professional and conservative. I'll be returning in six months for a routine visit again. Highly recommend!
