Fantastic experience: This was my first visit getting my teeth cleaned and X-rays. Very professional but what attracted me the most was the respect of each other in this facility. I had direct contact with Dr. Schwab which I greatly appreciated. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: After reading another woman's review ive decided that I wasn't being over sensitive during my visit and it in fact was a bad experience with Dr. little. I have never felt more demeaned, berated and ashamed than when I left here and cried in my car for 10 minutes after. I have dental anxiety but I always stuff that down and do what I need to in order to get dental work done. I cracked a tooth while eating and found this place online and after such good reviews I felt relieved that I had found a place where I would get all my dental needs done. WRONG. I sat in the chair and the tech asked why I was there I tell her that my tooth was cracked and that I didn't know if it needed to be pulled or could be saved. that was my only conversation with her about this tooth. Dr. Little walks in and says "Hi, Im Dr little... now how do you expect me to do my job and help you if you won't do any root canals?" I was caught off guard and proceeded to tell him I never said I was opposed to ANY root canals, just that I didn't know if this current tooth was salvageable. this conversation tells me the tech either told him I wouldn't do root canals or got her words wrong when talking with him about why I was there. He then said "well just by one picture I can tell you have an unclean mouth and don't know how to care for your teeth and in just that one picture you need three root canals." I said ok well this is my first appt in a few years due to no dental insurance so I'm trying to find an office to get on track again. he looked at the tooth and then proceeded to berate about how unclean my teeth are and how I don't know how to care for teeth and I need a water flosser. once I could finally close my mouth to stand up for myself I proceeded to say that I do brush and floss constantly because food is always stuck & that it feels like my teeth are constantly going bad for no reason. he then said "well we can't Blame the dentist for your unclean teeth" which I in no way said at all in that conversation. he then said "I can fix the tooth with a root canal but the other two around it also need root canals and I'm not going to fix just the one tooth and make it my masterpiece only to be surrounded by two other ugly teeth. so if you want me to fix the cracked tooth ill only do it if I can fix the other two at the same time" I stated that I didn't know if I could afford all three at once and he then stated "well your not gonna go to a dentist and expect to pay nothing to get your teeth fixed" I then stated I didn't expect to not pay anything for care just that my insurance probably wouldn't cover it all at once. when dental insurance only gives you 1500$ a year that's only enough to fix one tooth when it needs a root canal. I realized at that moment the only way I would get out from talking to such a narcissist, authoritative full of himself man was to keep shaking my head yes and agreeing so that I could get out of there. his almighty greatness bestowed his kindness upon me and did shave the tooth down a little so it would stop scraping my tongue and I was thankful for that. I went to the billing office and they said for him to fix the one tooth he would also do the other two and in the end WITH INSURANCE it was going to be 6000$. I just needed the one tooth for now and don't have 6000$ lying around like this man thinks we all have. I left feeling ashamed berated and demeaned like I had been chewed out for not cleaning my room and cried ten minutes before driving home. it took a lot for me to seek out a dental office and begin the process of getting my dental health on track. Maybe instead of Dr little berating people for unclean teeth and how we can't afford to pay such hefty amounts at once for his "masterpieces" he should help create affordable solutions because dental insurance amounts given to ppl does not match how much dental works costs to the average person. To Dr. Little I pay for my childs teeth first with what money I have, I have unclean teeth so that she can have the clean teeth and not have the pain that I deal with everyday.

Fantastic experience: A friendly greeting once you walk in Eva, Bre and Catherine. Are always ready to greet you. Great place has a very comfortable and warm feeling. The staff is always professional and shows. A great amount of appreciation. Towards its patients. Dr. Schawb and his assistant Kristi, Jessica or the best. From his met a greet to his chair side manners. Waco Family Dentistry, keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: This place is the best. I have had a very bad experience with Affordable Dentures. I came to Waco Family Dentistry and it's been the best experience. My whole family now comes there!! If you need a dentist that truly cares, you need this office. They truly care for you and your needs.

Negative experience: I never thought I would ever leave a review that was less than superb fir this dentist officem the office staff are lovely, the hygienist and so kind and thorough and make me feel appreciated and cared for. Dr. Schwab is also wonderful and I have had a great experience with him. The reason for my poor review is because of my experience with Dr. Little. I believe that's his name. This is the first time I have seen him and I was so dissatisfied I am considering switching dentist offices. I went in for severe pain related to inflamed tissue around my gums due to my wisdom teeth, hoping to discuss alternative options to general anesthesia and surgery. I have acute anxiety related to surgery, needles, and sedation. I knew it may be inevitable, but i wanted to discuss options while getting help for the pain in my mouth, jaw, neck, and throat. Rather than listen to my concerns, he brushed me off, and shamed me for asking about alternatives. He then proceed to poke at the inflamed tissue in the back of my mouth multiple times, and when I winced in pain he said "see that's just gonna keep happening" and poked at it again. I asked again if there were any other options and he ignored my concerns. My anxiety was to the point where I began crying, processing the need for sedated surgery. His response to my discomfort was "we have to do hard things in life. Don't worry you'll be asleep the whole time" which is precisely my fear. And after all of this, he didn't do anything to alleviate the pain in my mouth. I came in needing help for my mouth pain. Instead I had an anxiety episode and a doctor with poor bedside manner jabbed at my inflamed tissue and didn't offer any solutions other than the home remedies I was already doing just to make it to this appointment. I was so let down. Now I have to endure this severe pain for several weeks before I can get in to an oral surgeon. The problematic tooth was also fully grown in. I was hoping they would at least take that tooth out to provide me some relief while I wait for an appointment. But I was ushered out if there so fast I didn't get the chance to advocate for myself. I'm feeling really discouraged by this whole thing. I will obky be seeing Dr. Schwab from now on if I continue with this dentist.

Dr little and his staff is awesome, I had no anxiety going to my next visit . They walked and talked me through every step! I had no pain after getting wisdom tooth pulled. I also got a root canal the same day. I realize everyone experiences is different. When I tell you I had zero pain. I followed my instructions everything went great. My pain tolerance is Zero… If you want great treatment this is the place to come.. This is my dentistry❤️❤️❤️

Negative experience: I am very unhappy with Waco Family Dentist after being a patient for approximately 10 years; seeing them a minimum of every six months I mistakenly came to Waco not quite allowing enough time to be on time by 10 minutes but I was 3 minutes down the road. They canceled my appointment instead of allowing whoever was there to go to my appointment and give me take the next appointment. They are always six months out, minimum. My husband can rarely get seen. I’ll find a local dentist!!

Fantastic experience: I really am terrified of dentists. I only go because is part of my hygiene and it should be done. Dr. Schwab was very gentle and understood my fears and was very compassionate throughout the procedure. My only negative and it is not a big deal was the checkout process. The front desk person wanted to keep a CC on file, but I do not have one. When I said this to her the look on her face let me know she was not very happy with my answer. Other than that I love the doctors and the techs. Thank you.

Positive experience: The cleaning and service was great, but when it came time to make my next appointment for a 6 month checkup they have no openings. What dentist has no openings for existing customers when they say have your teeth cleaned every 6 months? I have never had this happen before from my dentist.

The entire staff is super friendly, and on top of every aspect of their jobs, from appointment reminder, to check-in, to the actual exam/service, and thru to billing/check-out, and next appointment scheduling! Cathy, my hygienist, is super thorough as well as gentle (especially important if there is any anxeity with dental visits), and as usual, Dr. Little is his very patient "gentle giant" friendly self. Fantastic experience: Everyone is great in this office!!! The receptionists are always kind and considerate. I see dr little and he is simply the best! He always explains things to me, he is very gentle and a really nice guy. He has filled several cavities for me, a root canal as well as a crown. I needed another crown but I couldn’t pay for it and so I talked to him and his assistant, they worked out a plan to temporarily rebuild my tooth until I can cover it. If that isn’t compassionate then I don’t know what is. I am forever grateful to this office for all of their help.

I do not get a discount with this review (lol) so you know it's real! Update 2/8-Just had my 2 1/2 procedure these folks are the real deal Dr. Little is like the cool uncle, very patient and without missing a beat i can now resume my life. 6/27/24 Update.. still great . That's all!! The other doctor took care of me and the hygienist I mentioned we're now friends in real life.

My 8 year old had a very traumatic dental experience with a previous "pediatric dentist" that left her VERY anxious about ever going to the dentist again. Everyone at Waco family dentistry was amazing and completely changed her mind about the dentist. She had a tooth pulled today without a single tear! Thanks to Dr. Schwab and his amazing staff, my daughter is not terrified of dentists anymore!! I 100% recommend!! Fantastic experience: I was a new patient here today. My former dental office dropped our insurance so we had to find another. After 14+ years with them I wasn’t excited about this. So I prayed and really feel that God led me to this office. This office is warm and friendly. They have state of the arts equipment that not even my former dentist had. From the outside you wouldn’t think so. But make no assumptions until you actually go there. Brittany the hygienist was so nice and very considerate of me and my comfort. I really like Dr Schwab. As a new patient he spent time with me and really listened to my concerns about my dental health. He offered great advice and stayed on the conservative side to not incur unnecessary expenses for me. I appreciate that! He’s very easy to talk to and you can tell that he cares. I’m so blessed to find this new dentist on the first try! Going back in 6 months.
