The dentist, Dr. Truong was gentle and experienced and listened to me as I voiced my concerns. The results were perfect and she really took the time to get it just right. I will be returning here as a regular patient. I left the office completely satisfied with everything that was done. I am a retired dental hygienist and know what to expect in a dental office. Fantastic experience: The receptionists were, as always, very welcoming. The service was excellent. I visited to have a crown reattached because the adhesive had worn down after ten years. The dentist and staff were able to reapply the existing crown at no cost. This is truly outstanding service and care.

Positive experience: I was rescheduled to get the hygienist who has been attending on me for the last two times. I just wanted continuity . But she didn’t attend on me eventhough she was present. Also, I was told Dr Kilng will do the exam, but ended up with someone else.

Fantastic experience: Very honest, thorough and trustworthy! I had one dentist tell me I needed a crown, I went back to them and they said it was not necessary yet. I moved, but will do the 30 minute drive to see them as they have my best interests in mind!

They’re honest, not pushy at all, and always quick to respond if I have questions. AMIE, my hygienist, is amazing—so gentle, thorough, and easy to talk to. I actually look forward to my cleanings with her, which I never thought I’d say. So glad I found this place.

Positive experience: Everyone was polite in Dr. Penrod’s Dental office from receptionist to the dental assistant to the dentist. The dentist explained what she was doing in detail when she was reattaching a popped out crown. That was very helpful. The whole place ran with efficiency and in timely manner.

Positive experience: The hygienist is very good. I think she cleaned my teeth the best to date within your practice. I would give to her 5 stars. However, my appointment is 7am, but she did not start until 7:39am. I asked her why? She may say that she “has meeting with doctor”. She finished at 8:14am. Your office should not let any patient wait for this type of meeting. Even if only took 25min for my periodontal maintenance cleaning (much less time than other practices), but I am OK credited to her willingness to clean my teeth well, especially the lower right quadrant. Update on 6/13/25. Periodontal maintenance at 10:00. The service getting better. Same suggestion from last time is letting the hygienist focus on cleaning and let other tasks doing by the office receptionist such as reschedule for next visit

Fantastic experience: I switched to Penrod dental about a year ago. My prior dental office was a disaster. 2 1/2 hours just get a cleaning. Always trying to upsell. Penrod is complete opposite. 45 minutes with X-rays, cleaning and dr exam. Great hygienists, beautiful office. I love this place.

Fantastic experience: Service is great, office staff are very friendly, and you don’t need to wait that long between check in and starting your cleaning. Also, they clean very thoroughly and very fast. My hygienist and I developed a game plan to reduce gum inflammation and I went from a “6” to a “2” (this is a lot of improvement in a small period of time). If you need additional cleanings to get your dental health where it needs to be then they will work with you. I do not plan on getting a different dentist if I can help it.

Negative experience: I went to get my teeth cleaned today and had a horrible experience. My appointment was at 9 and they took me back right away, but what no one told me was that my hygienist was running really behind. They had someone take x-rays and the dentist saw my teeth and then my hygienist would be there "soon." When I asked for an update someone came from the front desk to tell me "soon" again. She literally was walking out of the room before she finished her sentence. After 20min of sitting by myself, and 30 min after my appointment I walked out. I have appointments to keep this morning and they could not even tell me when I would be seen. When I insisted on rescheduling they said there was plenty of time to still do the cleaning, but I do not want a service to be shortened and done badly because they can't communicate. After all that, the next available appointment wasn't available for almost a month. I have been going to this dentist for over 20 years, back when Dr Penrod was starting out...the last few years everything is heading downhill. It feels very institutional. They are trying to move everyone through as fast as possible, clearly patients are just dollars to them.

Fantastic experience: There is just nothing negative to say about this provider. I don't know who does the hiring here but they sure know what they are doing. Every hygienist has been exceptional, all the equipment is state of the art, the dentists are excellent but more than that they are interested in their patients. it's a large office but it's not impersonal, and I love the attention to detail!

Fantastic experience: Hello, I have had some bad experiences before. Have gone through the worst process and always felt unsafe. But when I came in to this dental place I had told them I was very scared and terrify because of what I went through. They listen and they made me feel safe and welcome and I did not go through pain. Dr. Truong was amazing she explained the procedure and how it would go. She always made sure I was okay. Love it that she took her time and wasn’t in a rush.

Fantastic experience: Was looking for a new dental office since moving to RSM. Happen to receive a flyer in the mail from Penrod dental for $88 new patient special. Made the appt, got right in. Melanie did a great job of cleaning, full mouth X-rays, dr check up. Everything went great. Will be back in 6 month signing up for their annual subscription plan.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time visit at this clinic. The whole staff was very kind and supportive. They called me on time and did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth and taking an x-raysThe lady who cleaned my teeth and took an x-rays Her hands were very soft . I didn’t feel discomfort. Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist for over 5 years and was feeling very self conscious about my teeth. The entire staff at Penrod was WONDERFUL! They completely put me at ease. My previous dentist gave me a work up of $11k in dental work and wouldn’t even give me a cleaning (which is what my appointment was for) because I “needed” a deep cleaning. When I went to Penrod, the only thing they recommended was a night guard for grinding and to change my toothpaste to Sensodyne. It was such a stark contrast from my previous high-pressure dentist. I honestly feel like a weight has been lifted because I had been so worried about my teeth all these years. Thank you Penrod! So happy I found you!

He and now the Drs who have joined the team take excellent care of my teeth, cosmetic and general oral health for many years. I moved out of the area over ten years ago and continue to travel over 100 miles for cleanings, regular exams and anything else that might come up (it rarely does, they have taken such great care of me) Penrod Dental truly deserves a 5 star+ rating

Fantastic experience: Penrod Dental Care is amazing! They took such great care of me at my most recent and first visit with them. I was previously going to Rancho Dental Group, and was told that I needed a partial crown and gum work for a receding gum line, that would cost almost $1,500 to repair. I never went back due to the financial cost and how unfriendly the staff was there. I felt like I was being scammed out of my money. I recently decided to switch to Penrod and go for an emergency visit for some tooth sensitivity, and they exceeded my expectations. From the front desk employees, to the dental hygienist, and dentist, everyone was so kind and welcoming. I explained my concerns with the dentist, and he provided reassurance, informing me that my teeth look great, and I would only need a cavity fill for a small cavity, all for a small fee of $75! They also offered for me to squeeze in a routine cleaning as well. I highly recommend Penrod Dental Care for all of your dental needs!

Negative experience: I came to this practice because it has good reviews. I have scheduled my cleaning and this is the 5th time they have cancelled on me. They call the day of and say they do not have any technicians available. I then ask if I can reschedule and they tell me they are booked out for months. It has now been over two years since I’ve gotten a cleaning. The front counter staff that called me today did not seem concerned in getting me rescheduled and said she “would have the office manager call me to take care of it”. I had a root canal done here that is also hurting badly so I was looking forward to touching base with the dentist again to have her get this checked out, but now I can not do so since they cancelled on me and said they are booked out. So I guess I will be looking for another dentist.

Fantastic experience: Was looking for a dentist to establish care with as I have a new insurance. It was really easy to set up an appointment and everyone I’ve encountered have been really pleasant. My hygienist(I think her name is Natalie) was so nice and gentle. I saw Dr. King for my checkup and he was very honest and not trying to up charge me on services which I really appreciated. Fantastic experience: I had to have a broken crown replaced and Dr. Ballard was exceptional in numbing my mouth; removing the old crown, and her assistants Rose and Maria were also super awesome!! I have absolutely NO sensitivity nor pain whatsoever - FIRST time EVER Prior to my appointment, my broken tooth was very sharp and caused a sore on my tongue which is now gone…..needless to say; I am beyond grateful and thankful for my experience thus far with the AMAZING staff at Penrod Dental and highly recommend them!!!

Fantastic experience: I had an urgent dental situation where my filling unexpectedly came out and I was in pain. My current dentist was not open and didn’t have an after hours number. I called Penrod Dental and they told me to come right in. They didn’t hesitate to take care of me until I could get into my current dentist for a permanent fix next week.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Penrod Dental. I brought my 8yr old there and have had cavities taken care of on 4 teeth. They were so gentle and very slow and careful with the numbing process. My daughter was totally fine at such a young age and loves going there. They explained step by step what was going on to make sure she was always comfortable even during difficult parts. Highly recommend.
