Great for kids too, depends on who it is, there is quite a bit of staff working there. The dentist is good, the only one I've seen there.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with my experience with Riccobene. Due to my work schedule, I requested to reschedule my appointment. Instead of working with me or offering another time, I was told I could no longer be a patient at their office. I’ve always tried to keep my appointments and communicate when conflicts arise, so this felt very unfair and unprofessional. Patients deserve understanding and flexibility, especially when life or work conflicts occur.

Fantastic experience: My appointment at Riccobene Assoc.Family Dentistries was extremely good today. Everyone was very friendly, caring, helpful and professional and much more. I was seen quickly and then on my way home.

Negative experience: Been coming here for twenty years. All my kids and countless appointments. In the last year me and my wife have encountered much more profit seeking behaviors where I was told I needed a deep clean (which was gonna be $500 for two treatments (my insurance didn't cover it go figure) now my wife who's insurance had lapsed was given a one time cleaning for $99 which took 20 minutes after which she was told it's a one time deal and next time a cleaning would be $500 unless she signed up for a plan for $429/year for two cleanings. The staff behind the desk, the dental assistants and hygienists have always been tip top amazing and that is who the two stars is for. The money grubbing admin? So a two appointment deep clean costs the same as two regular appointments at $500!!! Next thing you know they'll blame it on tariffs.

Fantastic experience: Been a patient for many years and have been very happy with the service, hate the new rule of having a credit card on file. Last year my appt. was cancelled same day and rescheduled and didn't receive the $75 cancellation fee. When I told the receptionist this, she stated it doesn't work that way. Riccobene Associates should go after the offenders; we have always kept our account current. If this continues, we will seek another dentist.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff from front desk to the assistance, to the physician are all excellent. I work in the medical field also and can vouch this place is all the way together from customer service to a nice clean facility. This was the only place that took my kids insurance, so I drove an hour there, but it was worth it! The doctor that assessed my son's teeth was very patient and humble and talked to my son with compassion. I had an 8:00 am appointment and it was already busy and fully staffed. They had two cancellations for tomorrow, so they were able to move my daughter new patient appointment up as well. I have 20 years of medical experience, and a researcher when it comes to medical care for me and my family and I am vouching to you that this is a great place to have your dental care. Thank you for being a excellent service to our community.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience at Riccobene Associates. They have been my dentist for many years. They treat you like family.

Negative experience: I had an emergency the day of my appointment and because I was a no show they will no longer see me as a patient ever. As well as cancel my one year olds appointment without notice. I called to confirm the appointment time and got told that they will not see my son for his first dental check up. Wouldn't recommend. Especially if you have a busy life, schedule or aren't able to forsee unfortunate events that may cause you to miss an appointment.

Fantastic experience: I am 54 yrs old and I have to say this is the best dental office I've ever used. They are all so personable. Dr.Pham listened when I told him I would need extra numbing meds. Dr. Barber is just precious. I mentioned a concern to the hygienist they passed it to Dr. Barber and Dr. Pham was able to care for that tooth. The hygienist and assistants cleaned my teeth well and were gentle yet thorough. Kristy and I held conversation like old friends which helped my anxiety knowing I had work coming. What a great experience both times I've been. Also I'm a musical person so keep carrying those tunes to the patients Dr. Pham. Thanks guys you've turned my fear of the dentist around from the front desk greeting through the whole process!

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient this morning. I came from an office where I had an unfortunate dental experience. Well, I am happy to say I was welcomed and taken good care of at Riccobene!! I had x rays and a thorough cleaning. Each person I saw was incredibly nice and fully answered the questions I had. I highly recommend this office!

However, I did not see him this time, it was Dr Barber who carried on the tradition of excellence with humor, knowledge and comfort. And I can't thank the dental hygienist was just the same humour, knowledgeable, and comfortable. I love this office!

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office (front desk staff, hygienists, dentists) are always very polite and nice. If you have any questions they take the time to answer them. The Selma office is always very clean and tidy and I've always gotten excellent care here in the almost 15 years I've been a patient. Recently I saw Brooke and Dr. Barber and they were great!

Fantastic experience: The office called and said that Dr. Goldstein needed for my daughter to come back in because on review of her x-rays they found that her tooth had a double root to it. My daughter is a mentally challenged person a 7 year old in a 39 year old body. She feels pain like a child, not like an adult. So Dr. Goldstein and Mrs. Ava had to go in and redo her root canal without messing up her tooth that they had already made for her so she wouldn't have to have another one made. Her mouth is not like normal people it's smaller and her teeth don't set straight so they have to work at angles and in very extra small spaces. She used to hate to go to the dentist until I started taking her to Dr. Goldstein, but she loves going to the dentist now and she isn't afraid of the dentist anymore. He explains everything to her on her level to her before during and after so she will know what is going on and she isn't afraid of what's going on. He is always communicating with her to make sure she is alright and doesn't need anything and that she isn't hurting. He doesn't ask me where she hurts he asks her and lets her tell him because she is the one that knows how she hurts and he listens to her. They were running behind this morning, but when it was her turn and they got everything ready and the x-rays, Dr. Goldstein was right there until they had to do x-rays and wait for something to sanitize and then he was right back in there,but it took time extra time because of the tooths location just like it did the original time. Dr. Goldstein is going to do a patient just like it was his own family because that was how he was taught to do something he is just going to do the right thing every time he always has the past 5 years that we have been seeing him. I wished I had known about him after our other dentist retired in 2013. I recommend him to all my family and friends. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, always making us feel comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. Fantastic experience: I scheduled an appointment online and someone from the office called to confirm and fill in any missing information. Before the appointment I received multiple reminders. I was able to fill out my paperwork before online and have my prior dental records sent ahead of time. The gal who checked me in, the gal who did the x-rays, the hygienist, (Jacklyn) and the dentist were all super friendly, sweet, informative, and honest. I was very happy with my experience here and will be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I transferred my children to the Selma office a little over a month ago. We saw Jessica for the first time. She was super friendly. My son had to go back today for a filling and Jessica remembered him and checked on him three separate times. I made sure to speak to the office manager about Jessica and the wonderful ladies at the front desk. They’re all doing a fantastic job at this office. Fantastic experience: I took my daughter here today after dealing with another pediatric dentistry who were unable to treat my daughter due to her high anxiety and WOW, it was a difference of night and day. Sam and Jessica are amazing. They were so good with my daughter that they were able to build rapport and make her feel relaxed. I am so happy and wish I had taken my kids here before. I highly recommend this pediatric dentistry for their professionalism and care they provide.

Negative experience: I’ve loved Riccobene for years. Always brought my daughter here. Unfortunately no one warned me not to have any emergencies within a year of each other because 2 missed appointments they just kick you from the office. My daughter is devastated. Life happens, and this “policy” isn’t life friendly.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Lissade was really nice,I was kinda nervous about getting a shot but she calmed me down and the shot didn't hurt one bit. She was the best dentist I ever had.Evita was really nice and funny. She put on my favorite show and is the best dental tech I ever had. I'm asking for both of them every time!

Positive experience: The doctor and assistants were amazing but when the doctor said that I need to come back in two weeks for another appointment as a new patient, the front desk schedules me 2 months out when the doctor said two weeks so this dentistry is not coordinated with the Doctor and doesn't listen to them! Which i find is unfair and frankly mean!

Negative experience: The staff is always so supportive and welcoming. The higher ups such as the orthos are extremely rude and offensive. I left my son’s orthopedic appointment unsatisfied and upset with the way we were treated.

Negative experience: Changing my initial review, and I'll give 2 stars cause I generally do not have any issues when I visit this office but this appointment reschedule policy needs to be changed. Charging a patient $50 if an appointment reschedule is needed under 24 hours is really unethical as appointments need to be rescheduled for unforseen reasons. I really shouldn't even need to explain this ..but off all days I lock my keys in my house on the way to this appointment and call an hour before my appointment and am told under 24 hours is a missed appt an $50 fee would be assessed for the next "missed" appointment under 24 hours. I guess I was supposed to just walk to their office just to make this appointment even though I'm dealing with an emergency before getting there lol....me being locked out is much more important than making it to this appointment, so now I'm agitated cause I already have to pay a locksmith to get into my house then to hear if I "miss" an appointment next time I'll be charged a fee I can see us having this conversation for a no call no show but I called an hour before. Ridiculous....

Fantastic experience: The staff are always friendly, professional, and you are always called back in a timely manner. Precautions are taken to protect patients, like having thyroid protection already on their x-ray shield so you don't have to ask for it. Their facility is clean, and their business is run efficiently. My hygenist did a great job with my cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I took my daughter to get a cleaning and they took very good care of her. They recommended individual treatment for each cavity.

Negative experience: I’ve had several cavities filled here, and they break off or chip within weeks. Had a filling done a few months ago and they did not do it properly and I was getting food crammed into my gums. Got it refilled and now that was has cracked.. my other 2 filings have chipped of and one is now barley handing on and when I floss them they wiggle and hurt to bad

Negative experience: Doctor didn't know what to do with my sister. Gave her braces for 2 years then wanted to remove 8 teeth after the 2 years and have the braces on for other 2 years? Leaving her with no teeth. No one explained to us the procedure since the beginning

Fantastic experience: Great experience with the team that took care of me. Starting of with Madison, who had a little tick with her lips that reminded of a scene with Holly Hunter in The Firm, with Tom Cruise. It was Madison along with Calista and Doc Rogers. Professional and polite yet thorough. I was glad I picked this place because of a bad experience with my previous dentist in Clayton. We started the process to restore my teeth in September & at the first visit, Dr. Pham & Ava eased my worries and came up with a complete and thorough plan. Fantastic experience: We are new to Riccobene here in Selma, but I must say that every review I read prior to coming has been 100% accurate. Everyone here has been super nice, and they make you feel like they have known you for years. So far the 2 dentists my family have seen have been simply amazing! They are patient, and understanding. They talk you through what steps they are taking and dont mind explaining things. They joke and laugh and it keeps you more relaxed. We are very pleased with everything they have done for us this far.

Fantastic experience: just went in for a filling today. i have very high anxiety due to past trauma from childhood dentists (not a part of Riccobene) and it causes me to be emotional and sometimes hard to deal with. i had the most amazing experience today and have been raving about it all day. i wish i could remember my dentists names, but they were so patient and kind and comforting and even though i cried the whole time and was nervous, they were reassuring throughout the whole experience. amazing establishment and ive never had such a good experience at a dentist office.

Nicole was super friendly and did an amazing cleaning, answering all my questions and advising me about my friend as well. She mentioned their new patient deal, too. Alison went above and beyond explaining things to me and walked me out, I hardly had to do any talking myself. I’ve been going here since 2013 and this was by far the best experience with their team yet.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with Riccobene today. They were meticulous, friendly and took care of my x-rays and cleaning in a timely manner. I did not have to wait an extra minute. Very professional. And the hygienist Niki and the Dr. Brown ( I think) were both absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work.

Negative experience: Seemed very friendly until I missed my first appointment due to an address mixup. They have multiple offices and my GPS took me to the right branch but the wrong location. I was desperate to see a dentist as it’s been years since my last appt, so having this appointment was very important to me & in my urgency and desperate need to see a dentist, when the desk worker offered me an appointment for the following morning at 8 am, I accepted. When I got back home, I informed my husband about what occurred & about my appointment for the next day. While talking to him, I realized I had messed up in accepting the appointment because he had a very, very, VERY important appointment for the same time that day that he absolutely could not miss. It was after 5:30 by now, so I couldn’t call to inform the office of my issue and could not change it. The next morning, I got a call from them. I answered, informed them of the mixup, & without any care whatsoever the desk lady (different than the first. Much ruder. Honestly this one was just a total bully about the whole ordeal.) told me that I was “blacklisted” & could never visit their offices again since I missed my first appointment. Now, if you live in JoCo, you KNOW how VERY few dental offices accept Medicaid. I asked the rude lady if she could at least refer me to someone else who accepted my insurance and she, in a very snarky tone responded with a “No.” I was upset, appalled at her tone, & offended by their lack of understanding, so I hung up on her. They did not care whatsoever what my husband’s medical conditions are. They didn’t care why I missed the appointment. They just wanted to call me and let me know they don’t care & I can never come again. So what started off as a wonderful experience just turned into the second worst dental office experience I have ever had. I’m sure the dentist himself is wonderful, & so was the first receptionist (finally remembered the proper term and not “desk lady” ) I spoke to on the phone. But that last receptionist was just unnecessarily rude. I don’t care to disclose my family’s medical concerns over the internet… but if I was willing to miss going to the dentist for the first time in 5-6 years, you had better know it was EXTREMELY important. But they don’t care. Now I’m stuck trying to find someone around here who will see me without having to make a 45+ minute drive. I’m a mother of four & I work. I’m busy. I simply can’t drive 1 1/2 hours every time I need a dentist. I can’t & I shouldn’t have to. Now, it’s wonderful that at least ONE dentist around here accepts Medicaid. But it’s s****y when you can’t see that one dentist regardless of just how badly you need to. Factor in the rudeness of receptionist #2… yeah. Awful doesn’t cover how awful this experience was for me. I’ve never cried about missing an appointment, but with everything I have going on right now… yeah. I cried about missing this one. If you know another office in the Smithfield/selma/four oaks area that’s accepting Medicaid patients at this time, PLEASE send me an email. I’ll be their free full-time mascot after my first appointment with them! That’s how badly I need this. I just need dental care. I have never made a habit of missing appointments. I’ve only missed 2 in my entire life, both for good reason. But that shouldn’t prohibit me from receiving the care I need. Sorry, Dr. Ricobene. I’m sure you’re great. I just wouldn’t know. One of your receptionists certainly doesn’t know how to talk to people, though. I wouldn’t have minded or been too upset about it at all if she’d at least have been kind about it. The rudeness she showed me was just the last piece of straw I could carry on my back. You never know what people are dealing with. Business or not, being that we are ALL people, we should ALL recognize that & be kind to others.

Fantastic experience: Brought my grandson in for a toothache. He was scared about everything but the calmed him down. Talk to him took their time with him. Fantastic experience: Had to get an extraction today. Unfortunately I’ve had quite a few but besides being put to sleep this was the least painful, physically and emotionally. The staff is very helpful and personal. It’s always pleasant especially for a dentist visit. The staff at the Selma office are the best.

Negative experience: my son had one last apt to get his braces off and they said he misses it and didn't call. I know he didn't call bc i called. they said we had to see someone else just to get the braces off mind you we already paid for the full service. The removal of braces being the last apt. The lady was so blunt and rude about it.

Fantastic experience: I came from a bad dentist so when a friend told me about this place I came and fell in love. Everyone is nice and helpful. They were patient with my little girl knowing that she’s still getting use to the dentist. Negative experience: It's great that so many people have has such great experience here. I have yet to say the same. I was referred by the Goldsboronc clinic for ortho care. We were seen in June, but I have been trying to track down the point of contact since then to just get the estimate so we can get started. School is about to start and there is no reason why in my opinion that I should still be waiting to hear back just to get the estimate. Everything I call I am told that they are not there. They are out to lunch, I've even left voicemails and left messages with front desk staff only not to receive a the call back. I am uncertain about what is happening, but I planned this so my daughter could have her braces done before school starts. At this rate, I almost want to take my business elsewhere. My child's ortho care does not seem to be the priority. I am wondering if staff are actually getting my messages. I have also explained several times that I call and it's the same thing each time, but no one addresses this concern. This is very frustrating that I am the one playing secretary on their behalf and I'm not even on the payroll.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience. The staff was friendly and caring. I had a routine cleaning done and they took great care to ensure I was comfortable at all times.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dental office. The staff are very polite and helpful . Apparently they don't do extractions that are too close to the sinuses, but that's okay. The lady named Brenda even called to help me set up my appointment with the surgical dentist in Garner. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! I would give it 6 stars if I could. I called 5 dentist offices prior to making an appointment at this one and none of them were taking new patients until November!! I called this office and had an appointment scheduled 3 days later. I walked in at 8 am and was called back into the office by 8:02. I had Kim & Dr. Barber taking care of me. Kim was the sweetest lady ever, super gentle and easy to talk to. Dr. Barber explained everything thoroughly and saved me loads of money from a prior bad dental experience where a different dental practice tried to charge me 10x the amount. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: Calista was absolutely amazing! The staff was helpful and patient! Very helpful as well since I’m on crutches, they held the door for me in and out of the office!!!!! I can’t remember the Dr prior to Calista taking over but he was also amazing and very knowledgeable and just amazing!!!!!!! I think it was Dr B either way! I highly recommend! Me & my children are locked in here!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I went in yesterday for a cleaning. All the front office staff was friendly & courteous. The dental hygienist & assistant were very kind & friendly. The dentist who did my exam was so sweet and understanding. They saw I needed fillings and a referral to have a wisdom tooth removed. They promptly provided me with the referral and were able to squeeze me in 1/2 hr later to do my fillings. Doctor Anderson was the dentist who did my filling. You must request him!! I have had several fillings in my life & am always in pain for wks after. He did such a careful and thorough job. I have no pain at all. I’m so thankful to him!

Positive experience: I’ve been attending Riccobene in Selma for a long time now. I like the friendliness of the staff and how clean it always is. Recently I’ve been treated by Dr. Pham and I really enjoy his enthusiasm.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place. Super friendly. I needed dental work done prior to having a total hip replacement and they got everything done very quickly so I could have my surgery.

Negative experience: Usually love this place my kids go there n love it. Well life happens taking care of sick family n stuff didn’t realize I hadn’t been there in 2 years. So I break a tooth n after playing phone tag a few times I catch them next day on phone to be told I’d have to be a new patient again ok no worries but then she says oh we capped your insurance so we won’t see you. I’m in pain n have autoimmune disease that an infection in my tooth can cause major issues. Now I don’t know where to turn n it’s 2:41am n no sleep in sight due to this pain. I’m heartbroken n hurting

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience! They worked very well with my special needs child. They were patient and understanding, they did their best to make my child comfortable and checked in with me throughout the whole experience to make sure my child and myself were okay. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: It’s always a pleasure going here! They make my toddlers feel so comfortable. They get excited to go to the dentist instead of where I was always scared of the dentist. It makes my heart happy. We are always greeted with friendly face from the time we get there to when we leave. Shimmy and Jessica were amazing they had a “race” and brushed both my kids teeth at the same time. That helped ease my two year old when she started getting a little scared. Dr. Lissade was personable and sweet as well. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful service here all around from check to check out ! Been coming here for years and Kim Gibbs has always cleaned my teeth so well ! She is kind , professional and personable . Dr Pham is also a great dentist ! He covers what he finds completely with you and is patient and i do not feel rushed which can’t be said for others .. great experience each time … thanks Kim and Dr Pham!!!

Fantastic experience: Ali S. is amazing along with the entire ortho staff! They made it so fun my entire two years of coming. I got my braces off today and I must say I almost wish my visits didn't come to an end because of the staff. I loved it here !

Fantastic experience: Nice folks who do a great job at keeping my teeth and gums up to standards. Kim is excellent dental hygienist. I am satisfied with their service.

Negative experience: Hygienist and dentists are nice and do a good job. However, on 3 different occasions, they have changed my children's appointment times with no notice. I get an email confirming the times and just 2 days ago, it was still at the time I scheduled. However, today, I get an email showing a different time. Appointment times are important and are made for a reason. One time, appointments were canceled and they said I must have canceled bc they wouldn't have just done that. I would know if I did that! Again, I had they email confirming but it didn't help. I'm done with this disorganized place.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lissade/Maria has been amazing!! My daughter was very comfortable and they made her laugh and feel so special! They took their time to wait until she was ready to begin. I recommend this dentist office to anyone. The front desk is always smiling when entering.
