Fantastic experience: I'm so happy I found a dentist I am comfortable with. He is very friendly and professional. The staff is also friendly and explain everything in detail.

Negative experience: I went to this dentist a while back and was told I had 9 cavities that needed treatment right away. I left the office feeling uneasy — something about the way everything was presented felt rushed and money-driven. The treatment plan didn’t sit right with me, but at the time I didn’t know how to push back. Also even as a child I NEVER had more than like 2 cavities. So this came as a very huge shock. Plus, I didn’t have any kind of pain or discomfort with my teeth besides sensitivity and my wisdom teeth bothering me. Recently, I switched to a new dentist for a second opinion. After a thorough exam and X-rays, they confirmed I only had one small filling that needed to be replaced because the material had worn down. No other cavities were found. This lined up with my gut feeling that the original diagnosis was exaggerated. Looking back, I always sensed a “greedy” vibe from my old dentist — like the focus was more on maximizing procedures than on my actual oral health. I’m glad I trusted my instincts and sought a second opinion, because otherwise I could have ended up paying for a lot of unnecessary work.

Negative experience: Horrible! I left and have been in more pain since going. He drilled and bent a current filling that I had while doing fillings on two other teeth. If it wasn't for the capable girls who work there, he would have received zero stars. The dentist is very rigid and nonchalant. I paid for three fillings but only received two, although my money was refunded (or in the process). While I was in the chair, he walked in and asked, "What's being done to my mouth?" This clearly indicated that he hadn't reviewed my case before entering. He began the fillings and then abruptly stopped to discuss my treatment with his assistants and then addressed me. At the start, he even mentioned that I could get my money back if I didn't want to be there. He is very unpleasant with no bedside manners. Overall, he was very unprofessional, and I would not recommend him. My silver filling is now bent and it was the end of the day so he didn'thave time to fix it... This was my first experience with him and honestly, the dental hygienist who did my cleaning was much better than the dentist himself. Anything besides a teeth cleaning, I highly would not recommend going here

Fantastic experience: The reception is very welcoming and helping with any questions you have! Especially my girl Maria she’s the best! Everyone in general is very friendly and the doctors are very informative. Love them!

Fantastic experience: Great first experience. Front and back office staff are polite and attentive. Dr. Guillermo explained everything in detail and asked if I had any questions or concerns. Was able to get my deep cleaning on the spot with an experienced Hygienist. Will definitely be back.

Positive experience: I just noticed my review from a few years ago so I'm changing the rating to a 3 star. The positive.. the staff is nice Dr. Donan is so nice and I liked him the first few years I went there. I feel like he brought in Silvia and that's when I felt like it was different and I stopped going and I know a few others did also. I dont remember her being there before. I only wanted to see him for an appointment. My husband also went in to have a tooth pulled and had a horrible experience with the Dr Silvia. She pulled and pulled and had to finally go get Dr. Donan after she couldn't get it. He had a hard time too. He tried for a long time and was even pushing on his forehead with force to get it out. My husband had to stop and take a break. He felt sick and was sweating and said he felt like he was going to pass out. This should have been referred out. Because of that last experience my husband won't go back. I had the hardest time trying to get him to go to any dentist but this ruined it for him.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Donan for the first time today and I’m very happy with Dr Donan and his office. They are very efficient and friendly. Dr Donans office feels very capable and does things for which I would have expected to be sent out to a specialist. This is a great thing if you have trouble making time off work for appointments. I, personally, wanted to find an office in which I could see the same dentist every time I come in. Dr Guillermo Donan and his wife Dr Silvia Donan provide just such an experience. They are both very knowledgeable and take their time to explain what’s going on. I am looking forward to seeing them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I broke a molar and their team was able to get me in quick! All of the staff are courteous and professional. Dr. Dornan removed the tooth the same day and made a plan to care for additional treatments. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had some pretty bad tooth pain from an old filling that was done by a different dentist. I went in and Guillermo did a root canal, a post, and a crown. I am very satisfied with the service and the results, I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Dr. Donan. I'm relatively new to Fresno and was in need of a Dentist. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Donan's office through a quick Google search. The office itself is beautiful and the staff have been nothing short of absolutely amazing. Ive had cleanings, a root canal, and composite veneer work completed. Each treatment left me happy with the experience. Negative experience: The lady named Maria at the front desk is rude, actually snatched my personal phone out of my hand when asked a question about the registration process. I was texted about my appointment excessively (6 times in a 3 day period). Dr was gruff and impatient with my anxiety and fearfulness. Positives: Office was clean and the RDA was nice.

Fantastic experience: I had a toothache so I called Dr. Donan’s office, they were able to schedule me an appointment the next day. When I arrived the receptionist greeted me very politely and treated me with respect. After diagnosing my pain Dr. Donan explained my options in a very clear and understanding manner. After two visits Dr. Donan was able to save my tooth and relief my pain with a root canal and I now have a wonderful realistic looking crown and am pain free. Dr Donan and all his staff are an amazing team. They will be my dental office from now on, I highly recommend them for all your dental needs. Thanks Dr Donan and staff!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Donan has mastered the perfect balance between professionalism and care. I came because I woke up with severe tooth pain and found out I had an abscess. Dr. Donan gave me a few options to explore and offered his expert opinion but assured me that he would refer me to a specialist to make sure we way out all the options. I appreciated the second opinion and was happy to know that Dr. Donan was spot on with the diagnosis. Previously I was terrified of dental visits because of constant negative experiences since childhood. With Dr. Donan I got my tooth extracted and didn’t feel a thing. The healing process went so smooth and I just feel like I am in good hands. Additionally, the front office staff has been super welcoming. All-in-all I have had the most positive dental experience here and will continue coming.

Fantastic experience: Clean, organized office, friendly staff, good equipment (as far as I can tell). Dr.Donan has a great attitude and I appreciate that he doesn’t push procedures or other extras on you. After not seeing a dentist for several years, I needed 3 fillings and I like how he showed me the cavities in real time during the procedure via pictures. He explained each part of the procedure and showed me pictures of the fillings at the end. He seems honest and I trust his evaluations. Would recommend his practice.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for few years and I absolutely love this office! I usually don't like going to the dentist but they make you feel right at home. The wait time is usually about 10-15min but you won't notice that you’re waiting that long. Dr. Donan is so nice and makes you feel at ease with everything. Overall, great people and amazing dental work. They are the best!

Negative experience: Went to the dentist for gum pain around one tooth, and the doctor told me I had 2 cavities and gum disease and he recommended a deep cleaning. I saw pictures of the cavities and they wanted to perform the deep cleaning the same day, however I rescheduled due to time constraints. It wasn't until after I realized how rushed and pressured I felt during the appt and how strange that I had two cavities for the first time in my life and not feel or notice anything other than my gum pain. I decided to go to another dentist for a second opinion. I had no cavities, and the new dentist showed me pictures of my teeth and the teeth at saw at Dr Donan's were not the same teeth I saw at the new dentist. Deep cleaning at the new dentist was also cheaper and split up in two days so it could be done thoroughly. After reading reviews, it seems they pressure you to leave good reviews. Don't be fooled or pressured, and if you're not sure, seek out a second opinion if you can.

Negative experience: Once they have your in the dental chair, you’re pretty much at their mercy. It’s a business, I get it, but it makes one uncomfortable to feel like they have to stay until you’ve left them positive feedback of some sort. The dental work isn’t necessarily bad, and I get that it’s just a job, but encouraging one to review one’s service is one thing- I felt like I was being more than encouraged- as though I HAD to leave a review. It was just weird. I came here because of the reviews, and thought they were organic- they ain’t. Just an fyi. Once payment for services rendered were paid, I felt more like a burden than a patient. Not organic reviews- word to the wise. Dental work ok. Update: went back- admin staff is super sweet. The dentist, I think the namesake of the office, was a bit condescending in his manner of speaking to me. I’ll be finding another dentist. That was silly of me to go back, after leaving an honest review. With my name and face.

Negative experience: The work was average, what I didn’t like about the place was the communication, it was very rushed and I didn’t feel comfortable, the worst part for me is that they almost force you to leave a 5 star review before you leave, that’s not very equitable as it’s almost falsifying true feedback. Let people leave reviews on their own based off their own feedback and experiences, don’t pressure them into leaving 5 stars. For this reason I am leaving 1 star, I’m sure many of you on the reviews can attest to this experience as well as I’m sure that’s how this Dr has such high ratings and reviews. Not disclosing my name to stay anonymous because you know how people are nowadays. Be safe everyone and happy holidays, hope moving forward people get high reviews and good feedback from true good work and merit. The prices were a bit high but that’s most doctors so not too much to speak on there, definitely cheaper in the home land of Mexico but of course I don’t live there anymore.

Fantastic experience: My experience with the Donan dentist group was great. I had a deep cleaning and felt no pain and had a quick service. The team was very nice and caring.

Negative experience: Found my new dentist elsewhere that does only the necessary work on my teeth without charging my insurance for "premium dentist services". Not everyone needs 10 cavity filing!! Always get a second opinion! I was traumitisized by this dentist having to re-do their own filings. Never went back.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and incredibly knowledgeable staff! The doctor was straightforward with information and answered all of my questions regarding my treatment. My dental cleaning was one of the nicest and most effective cleanings I’ve gotten done ever!

Negative experience: Dr Guillermo left my mouth open for at least 15 minutes without doing anything and when I was not feeling comfortable he said I don’t have time for this and then after I am done they called and told me I owe them 700 after I already paid my part and said I am responsible for the insurance part since the insurance doesn’t want to pay before I agree about anything they gave me the statement of who is going to pay what and at the end if insurance doesn’t pay then customers will pay and never say that those portions are estimates, it turned out that the Dr is outside of my network and they didn’t tell me that and they know because they check the insurance before accepting a new patient. Unethical in my opinion!

Negative experience: Don’t be fooled by the 4.9 star rating. They will ask for a review, put you in a room and ask you not to submit until they have checked it. Then treat you like crap once your 5 star review has been submitted while charging your insurance a maximum claim & not even completely finishing what you asked for and give you the run around.

Negative experience: I went to the internet looking for a new dentist and this place had great reviews so I decided to give them a chance. I have double dental insurance so I wasn’t worried and scheduled my first appointment. They took some x rays and “checked my teeth” and told me I needed about 6 new filings . Not too long I got a bill in the mail for 96$ . The bill was lengthy in detail , charge for this and that and then the “new patient “ charge which caught my eye . I had a bad feeling after that reading other people’s similar experiences with these two dentists so I canceled other appointments and never went back. The current dentist I have is amazing! They didn’t charges me for x rays , or the new patient charge. . They also told me this dentist pretty much scammed me and couldn’t believe those outrageous prices .Tirns out I did not need any work done .

Fantastic experience: The staff is very patient with my many questions and takes time to explain things to me throughly. I've had a number of traumatic experiences at other dentistries, but the team here makes me feel comfortable and helps soothe my anxieties. As of 2024 I live out of town and still make the drive to my appointments here because it's been my favorite dentistry to go to.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my 5 star review had to go down to 1 star. I originally loved this dental office and the service that I received however after all of my dental work was completed over about a 3 month time period there was a waiting period for my insurance to process my claims. I had multiple fillings done as well as a crown and root canal, so altogether thousands of dollars worth of work. When my dental insurance finally paid their portion of my claims, I was left with a balance of about $400. I received a few phone calls and asked them to send me my paperwork to review to make sure I wasn’t being overcharged for my services as I am double covered. I’ve also seen other reviews stating how they are all about money and overcharge for services. Not even a full week passed and my bill was sent to collections and I received a phone call from a debt collector. No explanation. When I called them I was told that I didn’t send payment that was due (although I had literally just been notified) and that they had already been waiting for my insurance to pay the claim for months, as if that’s my fault and I have any control over that! I’m a full time working professional and have 101 other things that I tend to on a daily basis. They legit didn’t even give a 30 day grace period. Nothing! Straight to collections. I have never dealt with anything of this nature. I don’t play about my credit and not paying my bills on time. I paid it in full right away but I thought that that was highly inconsiderate and unprofessional for a few hundred dollars after they were already paid thousands of dollars from work that I received. I would never recommend this dental practice to anyway based on that alone!

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience with the whole staff and the doctor was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place if you are ever in need of any dental care, they not only welcome you with open arms they listen to your needs and care for you like family. Can't ask for a better experience, so welcoming and friendly. Didn't push nor force what I wasn't ready for only advise me on what needs to be cared for and let me decide on when I'm ready. Fantastic experience: I have been having a truly wonderful experience with the exceptional staff here. The hygienist performed an outstanding job. My teeth were in a very poor condition, and I was developing severe gum disease. Fortunately, I am now on the path to recovery and I feel much more confident with my smile.

Negative experience: Office staff were all very nice and accommodating. They got me in fast which I was thankful for. My only problem is my billing. My insurance plan only covers preventative and X-rays. They billed my insurance company to a single tooth exam vs full mouth so I received a bills for 117 which was a bit upsetting. After talking to the office I believe that should’ve been better explained that only examining one tooth vs the entire mouth it’s a different code (9110) vs the entire mouth that would’ve been covered.

Negative experience: Appointment was at 8am. I got there at 7:55. Filled out paperwork was seated in chair by 8:05. I waited till 8:45 and was still waiting to be seen by Dr. I get it his time is precious. Guess what so is mine. I worked in an dental office for 2 years and stuff like this never happened in my office. We double book sometimes triple book patients for same time slots. Average wait is no more than 10 minutes. This is super unprofessional and unacceptable. I read all the reviews and thought I would give it a try. Most of the reviews must be from patients who don't mind waiting. My time is money O don't have time to waste. So if you are the same please find another Dentist office like I just did

Fantastic experience: The people who work there are very attentive, polite and treat you with a lot of respect. Everyone makes sure that you are well and comfortable at all times. I had a cleaning, they removed some cavities and took out a wisdom tooth for me. Everything was very delicate and without any pain at all. You feel very welcome as it is a small space with really good professionals.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! The work culture is really based on shared knowledge throughout the whole facility. As an engineer I pay close attention to both the service and work culture and they both align very well. Fantastic experience: The whole staff was really attentive and caring. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed and it went smoothly. I have anxiety and they kept me calm during the procedure. They were also able to schedule me in quickly which was amazing since I was in a lot of pain. It’s a small clean office so it doesn’t feel overwhelming or super cold like some offices do.

Fantastic experience: this was my first appointment and it was a dental emergency. I was experiencing pain in one of my molars and they got me in right away early morning the next day they even texted me and got some information ahead of time. Maria was so friendly And they just made me feel so comfortable and just with ease, Maria had everything for the financials real easily talked about I wasn't overcharged the hygienist was great. She made me feel so comfortable as she was doing the deep cleaning and on the infection as well. Dr. Donan was amazing. He's so welcoming made me feel comfortable as well and I felt like he and his entire office really cared for my health and well-being. I'm normally very nervous but I was able to be there alone at ease so thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a dentist in the area and found Dr. Donan’s office. Came in very nervous but everyone was so friendly and they constantly checked on me to make sure I was doing okay. Lupita there is also so great. As a patient who has felt uncomfortable about going to the dentist for some time, the staff and dentists made me feel heard and comforted through my experience. Fantastic experience: Dr Lu and Dr Donan are very educational, welcoming, and caring to their patients. My husband and I always schedule are appointments together and we always get seen on time. We enjoy the staff and the environment and would recommend their service. I am also pregnant and the whole team take extra precautions to make sure baby and I are safe and treatment is comfortable for us both.

Fantastic experience: I’ve avoided the dentist for years due to being nervous during treatments but Dr. Donan and his staff are very friendly and gentle. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen for any of my appointments. I just had a root canal (which I was dreading!) but it turned out to be painless. The staff have explained my treatments throughly and showed me videos of treatments to help me understand. I highly recommend Dr. Donan!
