Fantastic experience: Dr. Alex Manrique is a great dentist. And so are his assistants. They take away the anxiety about going to the dentist. I cracked one of my crowns on a weekend and Monday he repaired the crown and it took less than a half hour. And it was covered under a warranty, so I did not have to pay out of pocket on the repair. He always does a great job and treats you like a friend. Dr. V. also does great work. All the staff members are always very friendly and helpful. I will always go to Ideal Dental and recommend it to friends and family.

Negative experience: Pros: Open on Saturdays (extra star, otherwise would be 1star) Cons: See below. I had tooth pain and went in on a Saturday for a new patient appointment. They did full xrays and new patient exam(which was fine). They then told me that I had to get a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning because I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time, and that I would have to get this deep cleaning done BEfORE they'd do any other work to address my immediate tooth pain. The catch?? $1200 for the cleaning AFTER my insurance. I asked if I could just regular cleaning that was included in my insurance or at least get the tooth/cavity filled (He said I need a root canal and crown, which they don't even DO there), and justified this by putting an extremely cold wand on the tooth and saying it was "sensitive" and that's why I need a root canal. Well yes, I have sensitive teeth and have for years, but I know I have a cavity and can't you just fill it, and we can talk about getting my teeth cleaned? Why hold me hostage for $1200 to get my teeth "deep cleaned" before you will even offer to fill the cavity? Now I can't get this fixed anywhere else because they've used my new patient xrays and exam from my insurance. Beware: just because they are open on Saturdays doesn't mean they are good. They will hold you hostage and refuse you service or refuse to help unless you get their absurdly expensive deep cleaning first. They did offer payment plans for this craziness, but nothing that would help with the current issue that I came in for. I'm still in the same boat with the same tooth pain with no options.

Negative experience: I am absolutely outraged. We came in on a Saturday morning with emergency pain, and had a few X-rays and stuff done only for them to not have any idea as to what is wrong. They assumed the tooth is cracked, and had us go to their Plano location for a CBCT scan. We did immediately and had the scan sent back over to Corinth to review. We called multiple times for an update, and was always told someone would call by EOD. They did not and the weekend came. Monday morning we called first thing and they claimed they could not read the xray in house and sent us in to call another location. This time flower mound. We did, and would you believe they also cannot read the scans. We called back to Corinth to have the scan sent to us (since we own the scans) and they claimed they cannot because it must be ran through corporate and can take 10-14 days. This is absolutely ridiculous that not one of three locations can read a simple Xray and will not release our scan to us to go elsewhere. We absolutely are going elsewhere and will ensure no one we know even thinks about this place for dental services. The incompetence is insane. I would like to at least call out Matthew and Tiana as they were both a joy to be around, and truly made us feel comfortable. Tiana has even stayed in contact while we solve these issues.
I want to start by saying how truly sorry I am for all the frustration and pain Mr. Cook has had to go through. I personally stepped in to try to help get this worked out and to make sure he was seen as quickly as possible for his pain. I understand how urgent and important this was.
From what I’ve been told, our office manager was able to get this situation worked out, but if you need anything else at all, please don’t hesitate to reach back out to us. We never want our guests to feel the way you did, and I appreciate you taking the time to share both the challenges and the kind words about Matthew and Tiana.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to several Ideal dental offices and they pretty much have been great. I had a bad experience at the West Frisco office location ( long story) but Matthew (dental hygienist) put me at ease. Gave me the CORRECT information so I could finish my dental plan. The Dentist was great too but I unfortunately forgot her name. Either Christian or Cristi I’m not sure. It’s VERY important that people are able to trust the information we’re getting from the professionals because that’s pretty much all we have to go by. No matter what, AKWSYS follow your intuition. So glad I did and got a second opinion. My intuition was spot on and they confirmed it. I will continue to come this location even if I move. Matthew needs a raise. Very down to earth and easy to talk. We even had few laughs. Thanks again you guys

Negative experience: Don't go here. Unprofessional and messed up my teeth with invisalign because they wanted to end it early. Permanently have an out of place tooth now. If this prevents one person from going through what im going through, its worth it. Thanks a lot Ideal Dental, worst dentists in Texas!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very friendly. I get incredibly nervous when I go to the dentist, and Tiana was friendly, offering me a stress ball. The dentist, Dr. Patell, thoroughly examined and explained everything. Matthew cleaned my teeth, had a chipper attitude, and explained everything. He also was not too heavy-handed, and I greatly appreciated that. I will return to the Hickory Creek location and request Matthew for my next teeth cleaning.

Negative experience: I go every 6 months for cleanings and have been a customer for years and they broke my permanent retainer and refuse to fix it and are making me go to my ortho and pay $150 to fix something they broke! The hygienist was scraping around my retainer so hard that he popped off the bracket and broke the chain. Bad customer service that they won’t even fix what they broke! Update 3/21/25: apparently when a crown comes off that they did they won’t glue it back on for you if the dentist that put it on isn’t there. So now I have an exposed tooth on a Friday afternoon and they said I can’t come until Monday. This place is so frustrating!

Fantastic experience: Honestly an all around amazing office. Every person I encountered from the front desk to my actual dentist was compassionate and supportive. I have felt very judged when trying new dentist offices trying to fix my teeth over the last few years. But with the wonderful people at Ideal Dental I feel like I have the support I need to create a game plan for better oral health. Fantastic experience: I was a walk in patient and needing medical attention. Ashley was the receptionist, Fiona was the nurse and Alex Manrique was the doctor! I couldn't ask for a better team work! I was in and out in alittle over an hour! Great staff!!!

Negative experience: I was very nervous about going to a dentist and told everyone there how nervous I was. Everyone was kind and reasuring. The staff and dentist were all great. I had a thorough check up and I needed a crown. I was fit for a crown and had a temporary put in. I was shaking when I left, but felt reassured despite how invasive and traumatic drilling and the entire process is. The financial part was also explained simply and I was given payment options. I did not feel well and went home. I had some aching and took Tylenol and went to bed, instead of going to work. I woke up to throbbing and severe pain. I called the dentist immediately. They said I couldn't come in at 3pm, and would see me at 9am THE NEXT DAY, because they were closing early. I begged them to help me, because you can't go to the ER for dental emergencies and my pain was at a 9. She told me the dentist had left for the day, but he would call something in for the pain. It took until 6:30pm to get the medicine. It was NOT pain medicine. It was something for inflammation that can take days. I was livid. The pharmacist told me to take Advil and was upset that they didn't call in something for the pain. I have never felt so abandoned and helpless. I screamed for hours. Never again. Dr. Manrique is fired.
I am truly sorry to hear about the pain and frustration you endured. I can completely understand how upsetting it must have been to experience such severe pain and not receive the care you needed in a timely manner. This is certainly not the standard of service we strive for, and I sincerely apologize for the lack of support and communication you experienced during this situation.

Negative experience: Do not get invisalign here! My experience started off great, but quickly declined! I had so many appointments canceled and its incredibly hard to get an appointment! I moved 2 hours away with two trays left to go until I was done. I called early October to make my appointment. The soonest I got was December 28th!!! I went 70 days with no trays!!! I showed up today to be told my appointment was canceled! I will say when you do get to see the orthodontist, the lady is great. Kind of useless if you can't complete your treatment!

Negative experience: At the Corinth location, the people are nice, but I don’t think they have cleaning services. The floors are always dirty and it’s always dusty. That area needs significant improvement.

Negative experience: Worse experience ever, it’s not only me whole family had bad experience. My wife got bridge and crown both came out within 2 years. My crown needed redo within a year. Now being asked to repay again, to fix the broken bridge and crown. Never going there back again.

Negative experience: As someone who always reads reviews before choosing a healthcare provider, I decided to visit Ideal Dental in Corinth based on their outstanding feedback. I had a positive experience with the hygienist and dentist—they were both excellent. However, after my deep cleaning, I started exploring other options for Invisalign that same day. I managed to get a courtesy exam at another clinic, and to my surprise, they only charged $250 for the same deep cleaning that Ideal Dental charged me $776 for! Initially, I walked out of Ideal Dental feeling good about the experience because the office staff is very kind, and the hygienist has wonderful bedside manners. I was supposed to return in four weeks for a follow-up appointment, quoted at $250, but after discovering the significant price difference, I decided to cancel. The new clinic I’m visiting charges roughly $40 for the same service. My husband and I have been going through this process together, so you can imagine the amount of money we spent at Ideal Dental—$776 for just my deep cleaning alone and approximately $756 for his. We could have both had our deep cleaning and follow up at another clinic with just as good of reviews for less than one deep clean at Ideal. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: always shop around. To say that this entire experience has set us back financially is true, but we were willing to do it for our health. Now we feel very defeated. By comparing options first, my husband and I could have saved a substantial amount of money. I hope anyone reading this will take the time to do the same.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental office. I had one office advise a root canal for me- I received a filling that didn’t even require numbing after ideals second opinion. My child was told they would need to be put to sleep with sedation at a pedi clinic- she had sealant and 1 cavity filled without numbing after ideals second opinion. Negative experience: I went in for my teeth cleaning and they said, "unless you purchase this deep cleaning we will not clean your teeth". I said I just want my standard teeth cleaning that my insurance covers. They refused to honor my insurance. We are now looking for a new dentist. They only care about their bottom dollar and do not care about the health of your teeth. It is worse than used car sales.

Fantastic experience: April and Dr V are absolutely perfect at their jobs! I was literally terrified April call me down and Dr V was comforting as well. They told me everything they were going to do before they did it and made sure that I was ready. Even x-rays were painless. The other women in the office it organized my appointment and my referral were extremely kind as well . If anyone has a dental emergency or just regular checkups I highly recommend this office. Fantastic experience: Just went and it was amazing! Everyone there were helpful and kind, took care of my problems and answered all my questions. Kathryn was extremely nice in helping me set up the appointment and getting me set up with saving money for all the work I had to get done which Ariel and Dr. Vaello did quick and sweet. Plus helped me with finances when I didn’t have insurance when I first did a walk in 5 years ago. I still don’t have insurance for dental because they are affordable. And the help actually was useful for medical visits with doctors that was the opposite of being in Ideal’s good care. They are simply the best.

Negative experience: I wish I had read the reviews before going in. This place is absolutely the worst. I have always had excellent dental hygiene, and my family has been in the dental industry for several years. I went to Ideal Dental for a routine cleaning because it was covered by my insurance. They spent two hours of my time only to tell me I needed a deep cleaning, which makes no sense as I've never had poor oral hygiene. They insisted they wouldn’t do my routine cleaning unless I agreed to the deep cleaning, which is not covered by my insurance. If you read the reviews, you'll see that everyone mentions being told they "need a deep cleaning." This place is absolute trash. Do not be lured into coming to this scam of a business!

Negative experience: For 7 weeks I have been getting text messages and phone calls from this location for a $2,500 bill that hasn't even been billed to the insurance. The bill is from years ago. I go to another location. I have called every week or so, and it's like they are surprised when I call and are reading the email from the other office for the first time. I have never in my life had such an issue trying to resolve an incorrect bill. Folks can't afford people sending out incorrect texts and bills without processing it properly. The lady today, said we will reach out when it's resolved. That doesn't make sense because no progress was made since the last 4 times I called. Update: week 9 still getting text messages that I owe them money and it has not been billed to my insurance.

Negative experience: Ideal billed me same day before anything went through insurance. Sure enough, my insurance covered something ideal overcharged me for. My insurance company contacted Ideal and Ideal said "we will reimburse if anything is due." I never saw a reimbursement. The xray technician seemed more interested in the TV show that was on than taking my xrays.

Positive experience: I gave 4 stars because it takes a while for them to call me back, my appointment was at 10am and I did not get back until 10:35am. Fantastic experience: I took my 4 year old last week and I am so happy with their work!!! Trust me my son hates going to the Doctor and this was his first Dentist appointment. He always kicked and screamed so I was expecting the same, but nope, the staff was so friendly. He did not make a peep and watched Max & Ruby (cartoon on Nick Jr.) quietly lol. Positive experience: Great experience. I especially want to give a shout out to Willie my hygenist. He was excellent. Sometimes it's about the small details. For example, him asking do you prefer a female or male doctor? I personally don't care, but those small things are huge in an industry full of fast paced, go, go, go, "forget the small things". He was thoughtful, professional, and overall really took the time to provide excellent care. My only criticism and why I gave it 4 instead of 5, is how many times you are contacted to confirm. Literally over 5 emails, multiple text messages, 2 phone calls from staff, and a recorded call. I confirmed the first day I got the email.It seemed like the system was not communicating that I confirmed, but I even confirmed with the staff and still got another call the next day from another staff member asking to confirm again. Overall great experience. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Ideal Dental for about a year now. I don’t go that often, just every 6 months for my routine exam and cleanings. The front desk people are very pleasant and check-in is easy. They took me to the back about 10 minutes after my appointment time, but I didn’t really mind because I showed up around 15 minutes early. The doctor was very nice as well, very brief with his exam and explained that I had mild inflammation around my gums. He suggested to do an irrigation so my gums could be flushed out. I appreciate the lady who took my x-rays immediately got the doctor in for my exam. Some places I’ve had to wait forever it seems like. The hygienist Michael was very good too. Not much to say about him because we didn’t really talk, but he knew what he was doing, so that’s always good. I really appreciated that the receptionist came back and told me the estimate I would be paying for the suggested treatment plans, since my insurance did not cover some things. Overall, I really like Ideal Dental and don’t have anything negative to say. Everything was done in a timely manner and everyone was great at their job!

Positive experience: Gentle and thorough cleaning here with Xrays. Polite and friendly staff. Unfortunately, Insurance with them has gone up (from $129 to $199 annually, plus cancer screening ($30) and fluoride ($20) are extra now for each cleaning. I opted to skip those this time. (Even with increase, however, their services are a better deal than $59/mo. for a TRS (for retired teachers) plan for routine dental care with a $1,500 annual benefit.) ***Trying to keep my 75 year old teeth, however, is definitely a financial challenge and requires hard choices if I don't want dentures or a Medicare Advantage Plan--both of which are VERY bad choices. For example, a crown broke off a year ago (luckily, in back of my mouth) and I chose not to replace it. Crowns cost over $1,000!

Negative experience: Update: I left my 8am appointment super upset after not being able to get my cleaning. All that was explained to me was that I was diagnosed as being “localized” (whatever that means) and since I couldn’t pay for the $500 deep clean, I couldn’t even get just a basic cleaning. So incredibly irritating. I get it. I need to floss better. Thankfully I was told there were no cavities. Still would have been really nice to just get a basic cleaning today. I have been going to Cornerstone for awhile now, and I recently decided to bring my kids in. I called to set an apt and I couldn't believe they could get both of my kids in the NEXT day! Willie cleaned my sons teeth and Erin cleaned my daughters teeth. They were awesome! My son thinks Willie is super cool and made sure to tell me to request him on our next visit.

Positive experience: Some of the staff were very friendly. Came in for a cleaning but I needed a deep cleaning n X-rays . The doctor walked in n never introduced herself I had to ask her, her name. She was friendly but the greeting wasn't great. Beside manners r so important to me. I waited so long before someone to come in to talk to me after the doctor left. Finally someone came to tell me what everything cost. I wasn't expecting such an enormous bill that i didn't have that day.I had to ask her did they have a payment plan because I didn't have that type of money up front. Then she proceeded to tell me about a payment plan. I was disappointed because I still didn't have the money they wanted up front. It was still a large amount. Over all most of the staff were friendly n I hope to come back as soon as I get the money to get started on my dental work.

Positive experience: Loved my dentist, she was very sweet and took her time explaining what work I needed.. work done, went back a month later bc my teeth were still very sensitive, seems my bite was not well adjusted, she reduced the bite, and feels better. Negative experience: Do not take your kids here if they need braces! My daughter has had hers on for over 3 years and was very excited to finally get them off the week before prom! Come to find out they forgot to send in her retainer scans! How incompetent must you be to consistently have bad service? Its been like this since covid and they have not recovered. There are many good dentists in Denton I am sure but this is not one of them!
Negative experience: I went to this dentist for three years and have paid them thousands for dental work they have done. Im now having to pay more for the damage they caused. Three years ago they wouldn’t even touch my teeth unless I let them do a deep cleaning. No regular cleaning would get done until I did the deep cleaning. I had never heard of that before. Two years ago they pulled three of my teeth. Two were wisdom teeth and one was a molar in front my wisdom tooth. They never told me that pulling that molar would case me to lose the one below it if I didn’t replace it with an implant. A year ago I got my regular cleaning as I always do and they told me my teeth were looking great. I went back three months later to get another cleaning and for them to “check on” the progress of work I had done to find out I needed two root canals. How did my teeth get so bad within three months that I’d need two root canals. There went another couple thousand. They told me my crowns would come with a five yr warranty as long as I stayed with them to have cleanings done. I thought that was very odd. Well 6 months later I went for my first cleaning since the crowns were put on. They did x-rays then said everything looked good and reminded me to keep up with the regular cleanings. It’s now been a year since my crowns were put on and I decided to ditch this place because I just never felt right about going there. Today I went to my new dentist and had a very positive experience. They showed me my X-rays and told me that whoever did my crowns left a very large glob of cement between my teeth and it would have to be removed in a fashion that would involve me to be numbed for it. When I left the new dentist today I decided to look at the X-rays that ideal dental sent me for the new dentist and sure enough there was the glob of cement that they somehow didn’t notice. I’m willing to bet they were going let it sit there to cause gum disease and a have to put in a whole new crown after that 5 yr warranty was up. Don’t go to this place. They will over charge and do poor quality dental work just to cause you more issues to have go back to take your money. Try Capehart Dental in Lewisville instead. They were thorough and cleaned my teeth without wanting me to do a deep cleaning. This place is a joke and they don’t care about your teeth. They care about the money they can get from you. My neighbor also had a bad experience with this place when he had his wisdom teeth pulled. They neglected an infection that had been complaining about since they were pulled but brushed him off because he is “a red head; they always feel things worse than others”. Avoid this place if you care about keeping your teeth and your money.
Positive experience: I had a good experience my first time-after going through 7 other dentists in 4 years… the others were extremely expensive (I’m self pay) and I didn’t feel very cared for… but ideal made me feel welcome. The four fillings I had done were not fun, but I felt like the dentist was thorough. Today I had my first cleaning in 4 months & Matt was somewhat aggressive, but cleaned my teeth better than they’ve ever been cleaned! He was efficient, mentioned areas to with on, flossed several times and did irrigation and fluoride to assist with by extreme tooth sensitivity & receding gums. He asked to see me back in four months to stay on top of my conditions, which includes tartar buildup and short roots/bone issues:) The office is spotless and clean & the decor is beautiful. Very clean restroom and facility overall. Katie upfront was very professional and friendly. Thanks Ideal!
Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with the Ideal dental staff for my wisdom tooth( x4) extraction. Dr Nelson, his surgical staff and Nurse Pat were efficient, thorough and did a great job. Back on my feet after 4 days. Thanks Ideal Dental!
Negative experience: my insurance was covering 90% and still was charged over $200 for a few cavity fillings, that were all considered small cavities. Do not recommend this place at all. They are a big rip off. Went to another dentist to schedule 4 wisdom teeth removal, deep clean, and had 2 other cavities that ideal missed (thank god they did) all for the same amount ideal charged me for the few cavities. There are better options out there. Staff was unwilling to work with you they don’t care about the us only care about our pockets. Worst experience would rather have my 5 year old step daughter do my teeth clean before coming back to this place. Update: 10/05/22: called customer care they told me I’d receive a letter from my insurance saying how much I should have paid turns out it’s a lot lower than what they charged me. Called ideal to let them know and they are refunding via check me which I was told will take a few weeks to come so I guess they did right however putting someone out that needed to dip into savings to make bills last month just because they couldn’t properly figure out what the insurance is covering in the first place isn’t cool and their management should look into that

Fantastic experience: My front crown fell out while I was eating breakfast this morning. My dental office closes at noon on Fridays. I called and left an emergency message and sent a text, but I knew they would probably not consider that an emergency. I was petrified at the thought of being without my left front tooth all weekend!!! Then I remembered the dental office where my crowns were originally done, Ideal Dental in Hickory Creek. Called them, spoke with a very nice, professional receptionist. Told her my dilemma and right away she was able to fit me in!!! Last minute, on a Friday!!! Went in everyone was very accommodating. The dentist was great, glued my tooth back in and I was good to go!! Ideal Dental saved the day!!! By the way, they’re open on Saturdays also!!!! Thank you, Ideal Dental!!!!!
Fantastic experience: I have used this dentist group for about 15 years now. I have always found the staff to be friendly. They are efficient and able to answer any questions I ever have. This time around they found an obscure hole where a filling is loosening from the tooth and starting to decay. Filling is over 20 years old. Luckily this has been caught early enough that no root canal is needed but rather a crown. Costs given up front. Need to wait a month to do crown. No pressure from staff to do the crown now. They completed my teeth cleaning and made appointment for next teeth cleaning and for crown in a month.
Fantastic experience: So love this location. All the people up front and in the back are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve sent all my friends and co workers here and they all have had only good things to say about them. I have moved about 45 minutes away and still make the drive because they have always gone above and beyond for me and my family. So if you have ever had a bad dental experience this place will definitely change your mind. I will give 10 stars if it was possible.
