Negative experience: This was by far the worst experience I've ever had, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I was initially quoted one price for a biopsy, but on the day of the procedure, they suddenly presented me with a much higher cost. When I asked if I could split the payment into two parts, they told me they didn’t trust me to pay the remainder. The manager was especially rude and unprofessional—she wouldn’t even make eye contact and handled everything with a dismissive attitude. The entire process was full of errors on their part, yet they refused to take any responsibility. To make matters worse, they charged me a $200 cancellation fee even though the issues were entirely their fault. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here getting my wisdom teeth surgery. It was easy, efficient and fast. They took their time to explain the process and made me feel very taken care of. I recommend this place to everyone. Dr.Kim and all the staff are awesome!

Positive experience: My preteen had a biopsy on his upper lip done. I felt that the doctor didn’t have much compassion or patience with child. My child has severe social anxiety and super afraid of needles - and noticed when he was trying to review my child’s mouth he seemed a bit impatient. My child said that he did like the experience but maybe if you can just have more compassion to children who suffer from behavioral issues this visit, at least for me, would have been better.

Fantastic experience: I needed to have my tooth extracted due to it cracking in half all the way to my gum line. I was extremely nervous for my procedure due to past experiences but everyone here took very good care of me through out the whole process. I opted into also getting an implant to fill in the gap for my missing tooth. Both procedures where very quick and easy with zero issues. My healing process is amazing due to their phenomenal work and would highly recommend to any one needing any type of oral surgery.

Fantastic experience: I had recently had all four of my wisdom teeth removed here, it wasn't as scary as I thought it would have been. The staff were friendly and made it feel like a normal walk-in and were also straight to the point about the surgery while being patient with me. The surgery went by before I knew it and proper attention was given to me afterwards thanks to the doctor's instructions and helpful recovery sheet.

Fantastic experience: I had all three of my wisdom teeth removed here at once. The staff was friendly and informative, which helped put me at ease. I was initially skeptical and not the biggest fan of visiting the dentist yet alone oral surgery place (though I don’t have bad teeth!), but the procedure itself wasn’t as bad as I expected. The surgery lasted about 20 minutes, and I was given something to help me sleep through the process, so I didn’t feel any pain at all. On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the most pain), I’d rate it a 0. I only felt some pressure during the operation, but no pain. Overall, my experience went much smoother than anticipated. It’s been a week since the surgery, and recovery has been manageable. Don’t freak out—just keep in mind that everyone’s experience can vary. Swelling, soreness, or pain might be different depending on the person. Yes you also get medication prescribed to a pharmacy for recovery.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kim and team did a great job. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed last week. She had zero pain which is unheard of. Dr is quiet and efficient but he is a skilled surgeon. Office is very busy but they are nice and help with insurance , questions and follow up.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kim was incredible. I called several offices in North Houston and none of them had the talent and skill to do an exposure that my son needed. He did such a good job that his orthodontist was able to put a bracket on the exposed tooth. He is excellent and the whole team gave the best service. Highly recommend

Negative experience: I was referred to this dentist by my dentist office to have a full mouth extraction with implants for dentures. As i got in the building the lady’s at the front were very welcoming and kind and understood what was asked and what was told. I informed them that i am 14 weeks pregnant and that my OB was on board with what needed to happen as i got my x-rays done and then was put in the room Mr.Kim came in and took a 2 second look in my mouth and informed me that i was 23 years old and just needed to pay the money to have my teeth fixed rather then pull them all and get dentures i then informed him that my primary dentist and i had discussed my options and the best option was to move forward with dentures and would just like a quote of the cost to get my teeth pulled with the implants and he informed me that it was not necessary to do that as he would not pull my teeth. As a women i do not appreciate being told what i should and should not do with my body luckily my husband was with me to help me stand my ground and get my money back for the x-rays i had paid when he had all the information before seeing me and instead of saying from the get that he would not pull my teeth he allowed me to get the x-rays and then come into the room to only tell me he would not do it. He was very unprofessional and very rude and would not listen to my concerns to why i want them pulled and i would not recommend this office to anyone.

Negative experience: They disregarding and minimized the pain i was, which was a lot. Through the whole process, from consultation, to surgery, and after that the post op instructions were given. I was already in pain at this point because during the surgery I was made “half conscious.” During the post op immediately after, I asked for something for the pain because it was strong and building up. She rolled her eyes and handed me four big ibuprofens from a bottle that looks like the one you get at a store. When I told her I don’t think I can take this because I can’t swallow, she said that I could and laughed/rolled her eyes again. She handed me some water and when I went to try to take a sip so that I could pop the ibuprofen in my mouth, the water poured straight out of my mouth. BECAUSE IT WAS NUMB & I COULD NOT SWALLOW. the girl giggled and said of my goodness people don’t normally do that I didn’t think that you would. But I had told her so why didn’t she believe me. This was just one appalling situation. Overall, even though the front desk ladies were decent for the most past, a lot of the staff was rude and I was uninformed and scared every step of the process. My stitches are popping out the day after surgery and it hurts more now because of it I think. They said it’s fine, I hope it is. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment, but you may have (and I hope) much better luck than I did.

Fantastic experience: I came to Houston Oral Surgery and Implant Center after another dentist caused a severe sinus perforation while extracting an upper molar. Dr. Kim is an amazing and talented oral surgeon. with an outstanding team behind him. The receptionists are always kind and address me by name as soon as I walk in the door, which goes a long way in making someone feel at ease. After informing him of my situation, Dr. Kim assessed the situation visually, took a 3d xray of the affected area, and created a plan of action complete with all pricing information up front. the procedure was a separate day but within a reasonable time frame. I was very apprehensive about the sedation during the procedure but his entire team was reassuring and very attentive the entire time and the procedure to close up the perforation went perfectly and quickly. I had some complications about a week later that were entirely my fault, and Dr. Kim, while understandably a little gruff about my lack of following instructions correctly, continued to help and follow up with me in subsequent weeks and months so that I am finally on my way to normalcy again. I will reccomend this center and Dr. Kim for anyone needing more complex dental work and I will not hesitate to come back if the need should arise.

Negative experience: I wish I could give ZERO Stars. I Need an emergency tooth extraction, when I called this “girl” did Not even state the name of the facility. I was greeted with “Hello”. This is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL from medical facility. When I asked if they can make emergency appointments, the response given was “YEAH”. If this is the kind of service they give over the phone, then I can’t even imagine trusting them with my Oral Surgical needs. Good Luck to anyone who trust these People !!!!

Fantastic experience: I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed here a little over a week ago, and it went so great! I was very nervous seeing all the horror stories of wisdom tooth extraction on social media, but they walked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable through the whole process. When I looked up the time it takes for the holes to close up it said it would take 4 months, but it's been a week and mine are already almost invisible! I would definitely come back here in the future, if needed. Thank you Dr. Kim and staff!

Fantastic experience: I was originally referred to an oral surgery center who informed me of the process which involved 4 appointments over months. I was so lucky to have found Houston Oral Surgery and Implants. When I met Dr Kim I was very surprised that he was going to do the entire process at same appointment as the initial exam when usually only X-rays are taken. After surgery no pain whatsoever and this included tooth extraction and implant I'm very greatful to the Doctor and team. A+++
