Fantastic experience: Always the best experience, Dr. Cross is excellent at numbing. I had a root canal of one tooth and an extraction of another, both today. Here it is 12 hours later and the numbing is finally gone and yet I’m quite comfortable. All the staff, especially “the coach” are quite gifted and very knowledgeable. I’ve been going to this practice for fifty years now and they have always treated me wonderfully.

His experience shows, yet what impressed me most is his gentle approach and bedside manner. He treats you as a whole person, not just “a mouth in the chair.” Dr. Coots listens carefully, explains things clearly, and has such a respectful and kind way of interacting with patients. When he’s working, he is incredibly gentle — it honestly feels like he’s taking care of the most delicate patient possible, always mindful of your comfort. He also works efficiently, which I really appreciate when you’re in such a vulnerable position. Between his skill, speed, and genuine care for his patients, I can honestly say he’s the best dentist I’ve ever had. Highly recommend him and his team to anyone looking for excellent dental care in Roanoke.

Positive experience: Reception/business office deserves high praise. Very efficient. Among the best ! It was a long 2 hr visit for cleaning. Will not schedule on Fri pm again. Otherwise, this is a very good practice.

Fantastic experience: Always have a great experience here from the time I check in pleasant smiles, to waiting chatting with other patients, and until I’m called to the back. They have great hygienist and doctors I’ve been going here for a long time and have never had an issue. The whole time I’ve had the same dentist Dr Quinn loved him for about 12 years miss him he is no longer there but the other Doctors are great also all around A+ practice! Recommend for all ages!

Fantastic experience: Today’s visit was to scan for a crown/cap to cover an implant pin. Maintaining teeth structure, proper bite and good oral hygiene are paramount to overall good health. I received a thorough explanation regarding the procedure and what to expect. All my questions were patiently answered. Everyone is kind and caring. I never felt rushed. The charges were reasonable and explained in advance of my visit. So grateful to Dr. Cross and his team, who are always on their A-game!

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency visit and they got me in same day. They addressed the issue, scheduled a follow up to do a root canal. The procedure was quick, they paid attention to and adjusted for pain levels and the entire staff is kind and helpful. I definitely recommend coming here.

Turns out I had a tooth that was infected and needed to be removed. Excellent service, wonderful staff. Feeling much better. Would recommend

Fantastic experience: The visit was for 3D x-rays but Dr. Cross wanted to do a couple of tests to see if I even needed the films. He did these and did not feel that I needed the x-rays or any treatment. Thank you Dr. Cross for your excellent care.

There was a little bit of a wait to get the appointment - but it was worth it. And Rachel, the hygienist was great! She did a great job, and was really gentle taking care of my teeth! Fantastic experience: Dr Coots is fantastic! I cannot say enough about his work, attitude , beside manner, and the way he cares about his patients. He takes time to make sure his patient is okay and not feeling pain. If you need anything he is on top of it…well as the staff. I have had some terrible experiences with other dentists that has caused me anxiety. I also am allergic to some numbing medicines. I don’t have to worry here, because they care and pay attention! They are very understanding. Everyone you deal with is fantastic, the front office to the back and everyone in between. The girls that answer the phones and schedule appointments etc are so kind. They all make you feel at home. They are the best! I am really grateful for Dr Coots , Mary, Meaghan and all of their team! Taylor is a wonderful hygienist. I could not be more grateful for her. She cares, is thorough and very gentle. I have issues with allergies to medication and have had horrible experiences with other dentists. This staff has given me faith in dentists again. Thank you, Dr. Coots for putting up with me and my anxiety

The day of my appointment everything was explained, what procedures were going to be done, pricing etc. They answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: We have gone to Griffin Cross for years, ever since first moving to Virginia back in 2005 to take a job as an executive with the Boy Scouts. Even though we live almost an hour away (In Christiansburg) we just can't bring ourselves to leave. We get amazing care from Griffin and his incredible staff. Fantastic experience: I really want to give a big shoutout to my and my son’s dentist, Dr. Ayushi Patel and the hygienist, Brittany. Dr. Patel has been so wonderful with my 5-year-old, making his visits super easy and comfortable, which is a big deal for a little guy. Both are very really attentive, explaining things in a way we can follow, and their gentle approach keeps him calm. I can see how thorough they are with our dental care, and it shows in the great job they do. They are so kind and skilled, and I feel really good about trusting them with him. We’re lucky to have them, and I’m happy to keep bringing him back and myself!

Fantastic experience: I chipped my tooth on a Thursday night, and I was able to get an appointment same day on Friday, even as a new patient! New patient paperwork was easy to fill out. (They texted me a link to the paperwork) and I was able to fill it out before going, making checking in a lot easier. Dr. Patel was amazing, and was able to help ALOT, and I was able to leave with a full smile again! lol. She was thorough, and very patient and kind. The assistant was great as well! She could tell I was nervous due to very bad experiences with Dentists in the past, and I was put at ease very quickly with their overall demeanor. She put together a great treatment plan, (along with my hygienist,) and for the first time ever I'm excited about the smile I'll have in the near future due to working with them! Just an overall great experience, and for anyone who's put dental on the back burner for any reason, I can't recommend them enough.

He explains, in great detail, everything he’s going to do before he does it, and your comfort is his number one priority. He is so kind to not only his patients, but his staff. Brooke, my dental assistant today was wonderful and also attentive, kind and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Cross and his staff are the best of the best!

Fantastic experience: My dentist retired from this office,Dr.Neal took over my care and she's outstanding !! I have heard other people say the other dentist are very good. The only thing is it just takes forever to get a hygienist appointment. They do have a cancellation list. I would just recommend if you have appoiment, keep it if you can.

Negative experience: at one time they were a great place before going corp i had insurance what it didnt cover they would let you make payments i am on a fixed income now i do not have insurance now they have been letting me make payments a year ago i went in for a cleaning they found a a cavity top front tooth they said they could not fix it until i paid them for the cleaning a month later the tooth broke i called them they still would not fix my tooth now it has to be removed because of an infection now i have to come up with 300.00 up front now if they fixed it when i called i would not had to have it remover and pay 4.500 for a false tooth after having it removed i have been a patient with them for almost 30 years its bad that a place like this treat you like a piece of trash when its theri falt it just boils down to the fact that they do not want you unless you have insurance now i was told to go to the Bradly free clinic and they can not help me any more

Now his son is my dentist! Brenda Overfelt has been my hygienist for many years and is great! Would not go anywhere else!

The hygienist immediately put me at ease, super personable and took time to explain everything and asked about my expectations. The lobby is clean, neat and set up like a living room minus the couch and recliner. I was seen on time and was seated in the nicest, cleanest and organized area. Fantastic experience: I always have a good experience at Roanoke office. Kelly does and excellent job at cleaning my teeth and she is always thorough in her examination of my mouth and gums. I had another cleaning and my gums were very sore and sensitive. Kelly offered to put some numbing gel on my gums which really helped. That made the cleaning a lot more bearable. I just appreciate Kelly and Dr. Cross for their kindness, consideration, and their care for me and my dental health!

I also like that they texted me about all my upcoming appointments when I couldn't answer the calls. They let me know how much my appointment would cost ahead of time so that I could be prepared and not get a shock the day of.

I have never had my teeth cleaned without nitrous, not in 30 years, and I had a great, safe, comfortable cleaning without nitrous. The dentist was equally thoughtful and gentle. Fantastic experience: Visited for semi-annual checkup. Their new x-ray equipment is a small hand-held device with almost no radiation emitted. Very nice staff. Jillian, my Hygienist is gentle yet meticulous and very effective in cleaning my teeth. Dr. Coots, my Dentist is easy to converse with. He is very competent, gentle and possesses a great chair side manner. I've never seen him unpleasant and he has been my dentist for I think about 10 years. I couldn't be happier with the staff he has assembled!
