Fantastic experience: I have been to a lot of dental places but this one was different from the moment I walk in every one at front desk were sooo friendly and up to date with all the information I need as asked very quick with registration as we waited all pictures were so informative and made the place comfortable and happy in the back as followed personal friendly and very informative then came the Dr very nice and friendly not ruff on inspection of my teeth that were hurting also very informative on explaining the hurt one and other stuff he saw he was great I hope all in that office are that great also I was sent by an angel to be helped and get cured my sister saw how happy I was as I walked out of the office and said I want to start new familia Dental and happy like u and they haven’t done nothing yet only x rays exams Thanks all of ur understanding,wonderful and friendly staff.

When I refused they refused to do the cleaning. It is a gimmick! Don't fall for it. They are so bad that they don't even have a hygienist! Dentist was embarrassingly corporate oriented. Totally not for the client. Never again ..

Negative experience: The receptionist didn't log me in to be seen til 30 minutes after I've been sitting there for my appointment. Had I not brought it to her attention, I would've continued to sit there while everyone else was going ahead of me, and I was the first one there. Her excuse was that she was at lunch, so I reminded her she needed to keep up with the log in list regardless of what she was doing.

Fantastic experience: Went to get my wisdom teeth removed (both top) i was really nervous, but thankfully Dr.Gordon (very soft spoken) and his Team assured me everything was gonna be okay and i wouldn’t feel anything but pressure. They did check on me periodically to see if i was okay, allowed me to take a little break when i needed it and honestly, my procedure was so fast and painless, no break was needed. Best Doctor and Team i’ve ever seen in the last 10 years. Good Job!

Fantastic experience: When it comes to dentist visits I’m not a huge fan of them, I avoid dentist as much as possible, I came in as a walk in and expected to wait at least an hour or 2 and only waited maybe 20 minutes, once I got to the back the staff were very helpful and made me comfortable, then Dr Gordon came and was very respectful and answered all my questions, I highly recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE! You can definitely find better care and more professional staff. So right off the back the front office was just not very welcoming then i had Dr. Gordon he is extremely rude and rough and not just rude to patients but to his staff but if I’m being honest the staff wasn’t any better! I over heard the assistant Siliva and another girl were gossiping about another patient very openly and they weren’t saying very nice things. And let’s not forget the office manager Jenna, beyond rude no costumer service in her once so ever. The office also did not look very clean either, over all just a very awful experience and very sad.

Negative experience: Avoid if you value appointment times or use Delta insurance. While they do accept it, I had a noon appointment and was told to wait another 2 hours or reschedule due to them not being properly set up to accept Delta yet. Staff was helpful and nice but what’s the point of an appointment if I have to wait another 2 hours while they call Delta…

Negative experience: Dentist seemed like he didn’t want to be in the room. Wanted me to have some consent form from a dr from when I was 6. I asked him if I did the course of antibiotics and killed the infection if I could come back and he would pull my tooth and he said yes. Well now that my infections gone they won’t help me without a form that was about the infection and is moot now that I don’t have the infection. Waste of time and now I have to pay even more money to find a dentist and go through the whole exam process again because these people won’t do what they said.

Positive experience: UPDATE: I CHANGED MY REVIEW TO A 4 STAR FROM A 1 STAR BECAUSE A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER THE OFFICE MANAGER CALLED ME BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL PROVIDER(DR) WANTED HER TO CHECK ON ME AND TO APOLOGIZE FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO EXTRACT MY TOOTH THAT DAY AND SHE MADE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT FRIDAY WITH PROVIDER AL, THEY GOT ME IN IMMEDIATELY AND DR. AL IS AMAZING, HE EXTRACTED MY TOOTH WITH NO PAIN AT ALL, THE APPOINTMENT TOOK LESS THAN AN HOUR AND THE TOOTH HE EXTRACTED WAS A BIG MOLAR THAT WAS BROKEN AND HAD A LOT OF DECAY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. AL!!!! Went today to get a tooth pulled and the dentist says "I don't know because I would have to split the tooth into 2 pieces to pull it and it will be a little while before I will be able to do it because I have several fillings on other patients I have to do" and as he's walking out of the room he says I just don't know. So they asked if I wanted to wait while he did those fillings or come back tomorrow at 3, I told them I could not make it at that time because I have dr appointments at that time and asked about Wednesday and they say oh we wouldn't have anymore openings until August 18th, almost a month later. They knew I was coming to get a tooth pulled so why did they even schedule the appointment if he didn't want to or couldn't do it? Very incompetent and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Today was my second visit to the family Dental .. I was a walk in and the staff did what they had to do to get me seen right away since I was a walk in and in so much pain .Dr ended up extracting my tooth .wasvery professional and today was more informative than last time . He is not much of a talker but he explained what he thought was going on with my teeth .and I will definitely comeback to get more procedures done and highly recommend Him . I was in an out in no time .. highly highly recommend Dr Nick... Staff was friendly. I was assisted right away . Dr’s assistant was very nice she mentioned she was Cuban I don’t recall her name .Dr seemed a little agitated when he couldn’t retract my tooth after many attempts since anesthesia didn’t work for me after many injections so I was sent home with meds and scheduled to return to finish the procedure in a few days. Overall no complaints!!! Will return to finish in a few more days. Once again, saw Dr. Nick today and they schedule my appointment as an emergency and was pleased to see new staff more friendly than before. They were all very nice and professional. I will be back in a few days to get another tooth pulled out like I’ve said before I highly highly recommend Dr. Nick For any dental procedures, the clinic look better today it was a different atmosphere. It look clean, fresh and ready to start the day with friendly faces. Please don’t hesitate to schedule your visit and you will be happy to walk out of there with a smile..:)

Negative experience: I went to the dentist 3 weeks ago I had a very sharp tooth. They took all kinds of x-rays and told me my insurance no longer pays for x-rays, fillings, or pulling teeth all they pay for is cleaning. So he drilled my tooth down so it would not be sharp and made me an appointment for yesterday to clean my teeth and today to fill a tooth. They wrote on my paper that today's visit would be 116.00. So I go to my appointment yesterday thinking I'm good because insurance pays for my cleaning. So I get there yesterday and they tell me my visit will be 49.00 for the x-rays. I told them yall just took x-rays 3 weeks ago. They said they had to do more. So I told them I can't afford both. It was either teeth cleaning or filling. They said I need the tooth filled. They kept pressuring me to make a new appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Then they said you'll have to come back tomorrow to get your tooth filled he doesn't have time today. Oh my God I got so angry I got up and walked out. So I get there this morning to get my tooth filled they tell me it is 164.00 I said what they told me 116.00 I don't have that kind od money. She said oh no maam it is 164.00 I said no they even wrote 116.00 on my receipt when I was here last time. She said no it is a 164.00. I turned around and walked out with her yelling maam maam maam Mrs yates Mrs yates I turned around and told her no you all did this to me yesterday also. And of course I am sure I threw my receipt away. Talking about mad overload.

He helped inform me of my choices and even offered a referral if I chose to look at oral surgery options as well . Whichever I decide I will happily come back for regular work and checkups. Negative experience: Employer, provides an excellent Dental Plan through BCBSTX-PPO plan. This facility demands deductible be paid up front FOR SERVICES NOT YET PERFORMED. Our staff uses a variety of accredited other Dental offices in Texas and NONE have tried to collect for ALL future procedures deductibles. Nor have any Dental offices I have personally used. They only required the deductible be paid prior to the appointment that generates that part of the deductible. Being charged for services not yet rendered and set in the future is not the common practice for other Dental offices. The deductible is due PRIOR to services but not for all future services. If a Representative from the Corporate office for Familia Dental wants to provide me a contact phone # , I will reach out to them regarding this employers dental plan and benefits.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gordon is so nice! First time, in my 41 years of dentistry that I've had a dentist calm my nerves without even trying. He has a very calm demeanor, listens well, and makes you feel understood. The staff (ladies up front, and dental techs) were also very sweet and friendly.

Fantastic experience: They got me in for a cleaning without an appointment. That was great because we traveled an hour and a half one-way to get there for my wife's appointment. The exam revealed that I needed a filling replaced. They did that too during the same visit. My dentist did a great job. Very little pain and very satisfied with the experience at Familia Dental. I recommend them to anyone needing dental work.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today and I couldn't be more impressed with Dr. Nik and his assistant. From the moment I walked in, the receptionists made me feel comfortable and well cared for. My insurance was verified before I arrived. Dr. Was very professional and took the time to go over what needs to be done and answered all my questions. The assistants were very friendly and efficient, ensuring everything went smoothly. The staff was excellent in providing quality care and higiene. His assistant provided excellent bilingual information on the procedures. We will be returning for further scheduled procedures. Negative experience: Wife went there to get her chipped tooth fixed. A week later whatever they used fell off. She went again and again a week later it fell off again. They are super good at billing the insurance company though. Will be switching dentist.

Fantastic experience: My appointment was quick. After initial exam we discussed which teeth were causing more pain and should be extracted. I have no insurance but the office manager was able to work something out with me financially. Tonight I am pain-free and plan to be back at work tomorrow. My dental assistant was an angel, and the dentist was informative, and skilled, Glory be to God.

Positive experience: Front staff was very professional and kind. Dentist was kind and attentive. Assistant was not well prepared and not very compassionate. She handed me the suction spout to suction my mouth while she walked away to do something else. I had blood all around my mouth and she didn't even hand me a kleenex to wipe my mouth Panoramic xray took 3 times to work. The floor around my chair was dirty. The chair vinyl was all torn and the examining light did not even work.

Positive experience: 4 because I almost didn't go inside. The outside of the Office looked awful. Clothes thrown directly in front of Office. Can't believe the outside isn't cleaned before the day starts. Homeless problem but should be kept clean. Once inside, it too didn't look very welcoming. Front staff was somewhat friendly, but it only gets better after this. Nursing Staff was very Friendly and the Best part of all is the Doctor I had was Amazing, So Wonderfully Professional, Excellently Gentle and just Over All very Worth staying and getting my teeth worked on. I highly recommend Dr. Andrew Nguyen. Look past the before mentioned issues if you can get in to see this specific dentist.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the level of incompetence at this office. I called in the day before my daughter's appointment to provide updated insurance information, specifically to avoid any delays since I would not be the one accompanying her. Despite my efforts, it made absolutely no difference because the staff clearly have no communication among themselves. On the day of the appointment, I ended up having to speak on the phone with one of the front desk employees. It was clear that English was not her first language, which only added to the confusion. I had to resend a photo of the updated insurance card and verbally provide all the necessary details again. Despite this, the staff member somehow ran my old insurance (through a previous employer) — information I had already updated — which, of course, was no longer valid. As a result, my daughter's appointment was canceled, she was not seen, and it wasted everyone's time. To make matters worse, I was in the middle of an event when all this happened, and had to stop everything to address an issue that should have been handled properly in advance. What is the point of me going out of my way to provide updated information if the office staff cannot pay attention to simple details? Sadly, this is not the first problem I have had with this office, but it will certainly be the last. I will be finding a new dental provider and want to give a fair warning to others considering this practice: be prepared for poor communication, disorganization, and frustration.

Fantastic experience: They took me in w the intentions to only do 2 fillings but they went out of their way and did 4! They’re great and gentle! Ima definitely keep coming here and I recommend everyone else does! Yaya and Dr.Singh are the ones whom helped me! Very grateful to them!!

Positive experience: I’ve been going to familia dental for a few years now and it had always been good experiences until now. I got water all over my face and also my neck while I was getting my teeth clean and they were feeling very sensitive. The dental assistant when booking my next appointment didn’t even give me options of what day, she just booked it and gave me the little appointment card. On the positive side, I got in real quick and was out of there in 30 mins.

Fantastic experience: Familia Dental is now my first choice for general dentistry since a friend recommended them to me and I have used them several times. All the people working there are friendly, polite, and welcoming. The Dentist there take time to speak to you about your problem and explain how it can be remedied. The Dentist take the time needed to do the work needed properly and are never rushing to get to the next patient, as I have experienced in other dental offices.

Negative experience: Took my mother multiple times for X-rays and impressions. Right before impressions they tell my mother insurance doesn’t cover partials and she would have to pay $ 1600 out of pocket on Medicaid. I then ask for the codes so I can call insurance myself and she states she needs something in writing that states that they cover in a threatening tone. I get the codes and I call the insurance company, lo and behold they said she is fully covered for partials every 5 years. They also said it is the Dentist office job to file the claim and to contact them. Seems like these people don’t want to take the time to go through process and rather get more money and lie to their elderly patients. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Walked in, no one acknowledged me. Sad, unhappy and dry office workers. Had to have X-rays 3 times to get it right. Doctor did not introduced himself. Just said "open your mouth." Took forever to check out. Got my receipt from one office worker and then waited in front of another for 3-4 minutes before she asked if "I needed help" Card machine was not working. It was not a great 1st impression at all.

Negative experience: Went there for a consultation for braces, as I already have braces. He told me that he would not touch my braces that I would have to keep on going to the dentist I was going to. He doesn’t want to do any work. He didn’t explain exactly how he could fix it or if he could. He just said he didn’t wanna bother with it. I have to put a star if it was for me they wouldn’t get any.

Fantastic experience: Today's visit was by far one of the busy and most successful that I experienced. Respectfull and professional behaviors were displayed from start to finish. Recommendations for dental items were identified and treatment recommended without being pushy. I very much appreciated that thanks.

They left my tooth looking a lil wide and wonky but I still need to go back to get the crown so I’m thinking they are gonna fix it up a bit then! Hopefully! Positive experience: Found this place for my parents there insurance coverage pays for almost everything. The Doctors are very patient and professional with my parents and so are the dental assistants, and they speak Spanish as well that helps my parents understand what is won with the process. The front desk is also very nice and helpful.
