Fantastic experience: I am at Topsail on vacation. Had a horrible tooth ache on the way down from Kentucky on Saturday. I was able to get in on an emergency visit Monday morning. They pulled the tooth and i’m back to being on vacation. The staff were the kindest people I have met at any Dentist office. Their kindness made going to the dentist on vacation a perfectly good experience. I highly recommend them for people on vacation and the locals. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Fantastic experience: First off, the office is gorgeous and doesn't have that dental smell that makes your teeth hurt, which is wonderful! This was my first visit as a new patient and it was quite extensive. Lily got a cool, wrap around X-ray of my teeth and jaw then more specific ones once in the room. Plus pictures that show my bite and how my teeth align. Then she did an excellent cleaning. Dr. P came in afterwards and we discussed some of the issues I was having and his recommendations. Lily rebooked me in 6 months for my next cleaning. I also have a follow-up consultation to go more in depth about solving my teeth issues. I really appreciated the way he discussed everything with me, took his time and explained what was going on and what it means for my future. I want my teeth to last my lifetime so I'm excited to work with Surf City Dental to make it happen! PS. They send you an intake to do and it is LONG so be prepared to answer lots of questions. It really helped make the initial visit much better so be detailed when you do it!
Fantastic experience: I feel so cared for at Surf City Dental! I was very nervous about a long procedure today. They listened to my concerns and made the experience so much better with the use of nitrous and a lot of TLC. They even brought me a blanket! Dr. Full and the rest of the staff were top notch and very understanding! Prior to my procedure, my hygienist, January did an excellent job and it was she who shared my apprehension to my doctor. Thank you, January!!
Fantastic experience: From start to finish everyone was so friendly and helpful. I came in with pain and was walked through the process of finding the cause with ease and professionalism. The dentist was knowledgeable and careful to be sure I was comfortable during the procedure. I left happy and pain free. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I Have had dental work for years, but Dr. Parr is the only one successfully numb me with no pain. He also made me feel generally cared for and attentive. Also grateful for his friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Normally I would not even think about doing a review for a dental visit. But today I visited Surf City Dental, and my experience there was something I’ve never experienced going to the dentist. Everyone was so nice and friendly. I was very comfortable in that chair when I am normally white knuckles. They took their time and answered my questions, and i received excellent care. I highly recommend Surf City Dental.

Fantastic experience: My first experience with Surf City Dental was exceptional from the time I walked in till the time I walked out! Dr. Full and Katie met more than my expectations! There are so many personal touches in the waiting room and even in the restroom! I have never been in an office or for that matter, anywhere else that I have been welcomed so warmly as this practice, this is definitely southern hospitality at its finest and I have nothing but praise for everyone in this office. Fantastic experience: Today I had my 6 month cleaning done. Despite a strong storm blowing through the area I was able to get it done. My hygienist was awesome. She talked to me about ordinary things and plans I had made while poking around my teeth. I am not comfortable at any Dental Office because of my childhood history but the staff at Surf City Dental do everything they can to provide excellent care. Every visit I am amazed at some new piece of technology that makes them more efficient and more comfortable for me. The Dentist checked my teeth and spent a few minutes with me making me feel good about my care. I would recommend Surf City Dental and especially Dr Parr.

Fantastic experience: Such a professional and welcoming practice! With every contact it is clear that you are valued as a patient. Every financial aspect is presented and explained. It is so obvious that your continuing dental health matters, and they go above and beyond to make that happen. Dr Full is my dentist. So accomplished and having two crowns didn’t hurt at all!! Yesi was my assistant. So kind and focused on my comfort and expert at her job. Chandler is my amazing hygienist and I look forward to seeing her throughout the year. These people are new and old friends! Dr. Parr has spent years building a practice where it is obvious that his employees and therefore his patients are happy. His ongoing efforts are obvious. (And the music isn’t bad either.) They also send timely reminders of upcoming or needed appointments. Great practice...

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency dental issue over the weekend (while on vacation) and called then leaving a message, Ruby contacted me over the weekend and set up an appointment for first thing on Monday morning! Then I was greeted warmly by everyone there! Kaylee and Dr Stear took care of the issue and I was out the door all fixed in under an hour! Ruby even came in and introduced herself. They were awesome and I’ve already shared this with others on the island! I give them a 10 out of 10!!!

Fantastic experience: I had let my dental care lapse a bit, but Kendall and Chandler never let me fall through the cracks! A routine cleaning/ xrays revealed a broken tooth which will be repaired next week. Would have been worse if they hadn't gotten me back on schedule. Dr Full is compassionate, engaging and incredibly good at what she does. Surf City Dental is the best.

Fantastic experience: I broke a molar yesterday. I tried to contact my dentist, with whom I was going to have other teeth fixed with several crowns. The man that answered my call just basically said that nobody was available to help me. , that they were not working on Friday or weekends. So I had to call back on Monday. When I insisted it was an emergency, he just said that I couldn't talk to anyone and to just wait for someone to call me back. So I called Surf City Dental. And they accepted me immediately. Very nice people. They assess the situation in a very gentle and humane way. I will now stay with this dentist. You need to know in life who You can trust when you find yourself in a bad situation. If you want genuinely Good people to take care of you... GO TO SURF CITY DENTAL. Scott at the reception is super nice, my technician she is the sweetest gentle woman I have ever met. And the doctor, she is straight forward, no bs. Loved it

Fantastic experience: Had severe tooth pain, tried to ride it out but kept getting worse. Dr Parr had me in the office, diagnostics, procedure and post op game plan done within 1.5 hours. They truly care about all patients and being the best , most comprehensive office. I've even had 3 crowns, all done same day within 3hrs fully done! Fantastic experience: I’m scared to death of the dentist. From the minute I walked in until I left I was made comfortable and at ease. Jennifer took my X-rays and cleaned my teeth. She was very informative and reassuring throughout. Dr. Stear was also very informative and fully explained everything that I needed done.

Fantastic experience: I had my first consultation visit today. Dr. Compton was very sweet and made me feel comfortable as she explained my treatment plan. I start treatment in 2 weeks and fingers crossed all goes well because I am the biggest chicken when it comes to the dentist.

Positive experience: Always quality care and the friendliest staff. The only downside is that they are only part of Delta Dental so you have to pay out-of-network costs. Otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Surf City Dental is wonderful. All the girls working there are very sweet and positive. Dr Parr is the best. I feel very confident in his ability to handle any problem with my teeth. I have my teeth cleaned by Miss January (the type of granddaughter everyone wants) and she is very knowledgeable and gentle. It’s the only dentist office I will ever use anymore. Update review: I had an emergency toothache and Dr Parr took me right in and then scheduled a root canal and crown after prescribing antibiotics for 2 weeks. I called in and explained it was hurting and I needed to move the appointment up. Kyndal worked on getting me in sooner by moving some patients around and called me back for earlier appointment. They listen to you, Dr Parr is wonderful, I trust him completely and his staff if wonderful!!!

Fantastic experience: I showed up at their front desk needing to be seen today. By 3:00 I was sitting in a chair being examined. Within an hour I was sitting at home with my crown back on my molar where it belonged. People are really friendly there and they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Update: Today was my first visit since they opened the new addition to their office. Nothing has changed. They’re still friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Update#2: It’s been a couple of years since my last post and nothing has changed except their offices have doubled in size. The staff continues to excel at making sure I’m comfortable and that I don’t waste any of my time. I love these guys and can’t recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Surf City Dental! My daughter recently needed her first filling, and from start to finish, they guided me through every step of the process. Dr. Stear was incredibly kind, taking the time to explain everything in detail and making me feel heard and understood. The treatment coordinator also took the time to walk me through the payment process, explaining my options in a way that was so helpful—especially in today’s economy where every penny counts.
