Negative experience: Beware!!!! If you plan to spend half of your day at the dentist going through a sales pitch, as if someone is trying to sell you time share….then this is the place to go! Otherwise stay away. Literally spent 4 hours at this place and received a bill for X-rays and a special exam. My husband and I came to get a cleaning as new patients and did not even receive the service bc they wanted us to pay over $800-1300 for a “deep cleaning along with a ton of other services. This is not the place for any human.

Fantastic experience: In the past when I was seeing another dentist he could never get to the root problem of the pain that I was having with my teeth. Later when I scheduled an appointment to see Dr May at Coast Dental she recommended a deep cleaning. After that I never had any more pain. Thank you Ana for the great job you did cleaning my gums.

Negative experience: The gentleman at the call center they've hired does not speak good enough English for me to understand ANYTHING and I'm pretty good with accents. No one EVER calls me back and the number they listed for quality assurance says he's just a scheduling line. And it cost $1500 for a deep cleaning

Negative experience: Very poor service and the work was equally bad. Had a tooth extracted by Dr May and a few days later I had a bone extruding from my gum where the tooth was extracted. The bone was so sharp it was cutting my tongue. Made an appointment and Dr May numbed the area and then handed me something to sign as I’m in the chair. Unfortunately I didn’t read it and later was charged for her to grind the bone out that should have been removed during the extraction. What kind of Dr has a patient sign a form after being shot up? A poor one. Stay away from these people.

Negative experience: Do not recommend unless you are ok with unprofessional management, office workflow and spending 2.5hours to get a cleaning. Took my boys for a 2pm appointments One scheduled with Dr May & the other with Dr Dacosta. After an hour and 10 minutes was advised that "the doctor went to lunch" and i would need to use telehealth in order for them to get a cleaning. I reluctantly agreed as i had already wasted over an hour in office. I was brought to another room for the telehealth and it took another 20 minutes for them to figure it out. The woman who was assisting to get the telehealth set up did not introduce herself despite hearing ny frustrations but she turned out to be the office manager, Nilsa B. I only found this out when I asked who the office manager was. She then told me she hadn't come to talk to me because she was in a meeting amd wasn't aware of situaton until now. When I asked if both doctors went to lunch. She said no that Dr May was always scheduled to leave at 2pm. So my son was scheduled with a doctor who was known to be out of office? No accountability. As a medical manager myself I can assure you this situation was handled very poorly by upper management. The saving grace of my entire experience was Joselyn and Ana the hygienist. Thankful they were kind, quick thinkers and as accommodating as they could be to rectify a situation. I will be following up with management and hope others dont have the same negative experience. Jocelyn and Ana keep doing the great work you are doing!

Negative experience: Worst service ever, my appointment was at 8 banged on the door for 6 mins before someone answered. Was finally let in at 8:06. Then waited another 15 mins be called while the staff was decorating for Halloween and taking about their costumes. The dental assistant called back did X-rays then waited again for 30ish minutes for the dental hygienist. After she was done waited some more finally at 930 I went up and complained and the response as well a new patient appointment is 1.5 hours….well it’s an hour and half in and no treatment and no doctor. I ended up leaving at 10:20 and guess what received no treatment after all that and they wanted to charge me for unnecessary things. I requested my X-rays so I can find a new dentist. Well the sent me the Panaromic not bite wings. I have called over 40 times to get this and no one will answer. I have texted and no response. The answering service says they can’t help. How do I get the records I requested and PAID for

Negative experience: Poor customer service. Long waiting. Constant Spanish talking (which is rude around us English speaking) two starts because the actual Dr was polite. Place smelled. I personally wouldn't go back.

Negative experience: Visited Coastal Dental, and it was a total nightmare from start to finish. First, their pricing is absurdly high. They quoted me over $2,000 for treatment that seemed unnecessary. What really bothered me, though, was their aggressive tactics to get me to pay. Instead of a medical consultation, it felt like a high pressure sales pitch. When I hesitated because of the outrageous price, they offered financing options as if that somehow made the situation better. Financing $2K of unnecessary dental work? No thank you. It felt like they were more interested in getting me to sign up for payment plans than actually providing the care I needed. Overall, this place is a scam with zero transparency, unethical sales tactics, and unprofessional behavior. I will definitely not be returning and strongly advise anyone looking for honest, reasonably priced dental care to avoid Coastal Dental.

Negative experience: I would strongly advise others to reconsider before going to Coast Dental, especially this location, based on my experience. Over the past six months, I have had an extremely frustrating time trying to get basic communication from their office. Most of the time my calls go unanswered. On the rare occasions they do pick up I am often placed on hold until the line disconnects and I never receive a call back. Many times I have been forwarded to a call center outside the country. The call center staff are polite but limited. They can only schedule appointments or leave notes, and in my case they were never able to resolve actual problems or get through to the office. When I have been in the office I personally felt pressured to accept additional services right away without enough time to fully review or reschedule. I was given multiple waivers to sign while verbally being told that the services would be covered by insurance. At the same time the paperwork also stated that I would be responsible for any uncovered costs. This approach left me feeling uncertain and uncomfortable about what I was committing to. On the rare occasions the local office staff themselves answered my calls I found them dismissive and not proactive in resolving issues. Instead of hearing things like “we will take care of it” or “we will follow up” I often felt like the responsibility was pushed back on me to chase them down for even basic answers. This has been one of the most prolonged and unprofessional experiences I have had with any dental office. I usually do not write reviews, but in this case I felt it was important to share so others know what to expect.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my visit to Coast Dental Cape Coral. The staff, especially Ana Garcia are very, very knowledgeable, and I had a procedure done that was a deep cleaning periodontic experience. They really seem to know what they’re talking about, and I felt very comfortable being there for the second or third time. I asked my previous two dentists send them my files, so now they have all of my information. Ana in particular is excellent, and very friendly.

Negative experience: I when to an appointment about a week ago I had a $540 coupon (advertised on their website for cash customers)for a deep cleaning which they wouldn't accept and kept trying to sell me a smile program that the girl had no clue even what the smile program entailed. They hadn't even looked in my mouth yet and we're trying to sell me something that I didn't want. I had been there 4 years ago and I didn't have any problems when I had insurance. All of a sudden I'm getting these high pressure sales tactics. So needless to say I ended up having a massive anxiety attack and left without any services.. just nerves from hell. When I got home my blood pressure was 180 over 101 with a heart rate of 101. I was so aggravated and still am that's why it took me a week to write this review. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU'RE PAYING CASH IT'S A SCAM. AND I HAD SPECIFICALLY ASKED WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT TO MAKE SURE I WAS GOING TO GET EVERYTHING ON THE COUPON DONE IN ONE DAY AND THEY ASSURED ME IT WOULD BE DONE AND IT WASN'T WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!

Negative experience: I am dealing with Coast Dental Billing. I had my insurance company contact them 3 times before my cleaning. I had my insurance company call them after my cleaning. I paid $1164 out of pocket. Now they are sending me bills for more money. I see this has happened to others. They always say they will contact the insurance company for more money. In the meantime I have approx 30 Emails for $$$$. Please take care of this.

Negative experience: This place is very unprofessional! I made an appointment to get my cracked tooth extracted and the dentist put sutures in an empty spot where my tooth had already been taken out YEARS ago. I called back trying to explain the problem and was told nothing could be done today. I was in so much pain and I haven’t been able to eat since saturday it’s now tuesday. The lady kept going back and forth with and until magically an emergency spot opened for me. When I came back the front desk lady gave me a snarky attitude claiming the dentist already explained the care plan to me, if that was the case I would have told him NO and that wasn’t what I came here for. The lobby was full of people and she tried making me seem like I was in the wrong. After he finally admitted he was at fault he tried charging me once again, it was only $30 (after I was charged $368 WITH dental insurance). Now not only do I have pain in my mouth from my tooth being pulled I now have to worry about these random sutures. Read the reviews before you make an appointment, don’t make the same expensive and painful mistake as I did. Never returning.

Fantastic experience: Installed my new front tooth crown next to the 3 tooth partial installed last month. They look amazing. I'm 73 and have had a crown on my other front tooth since I was 7. I intercepted a rock being thrown at a neighbor when my tooth was 2 months old. That crown now looks like crap next to my beautiful new teeth. Replacing it is next on my list! I have my best smile ever now!!!

Negative experience: My last visit with them was in early 2021. I have not booked with them or had ANY communication with them since. Today, I received an email from them stating they were going to take legal action for unpaid billings. I called the office and they advised me there is an outstanding balance of $17.00 from feb 2021. They could not tell me what the $17.00 was for. Nor could they advise me why I had not received a phone call, mail, or any other communication about this $17.00 before today. They told me it was my responsibility to contact that dental insurance ( that I no longer have since it was 4 years ago) and essentially submit a request through them. I let them know it’s not the cost. It’s only $17.00. It’s the fact I had not received any communication on this, it’s been 4 years, and now you send an email stating you’ll be taking legal action.

Negative experience: The most unprofessional establishment in the entire Cape. Unorganized. Rude. I have had numerous issues in the last 2 years...unfortunately, they are one of the only places that take my insurance. "Lost" paperwork. Waiting HOURS for appointments scheduled months in advanced. Trying to add on a $500 toothbrush to my bill without asking...scheduling issues every 6 monthd. This most recent episode has driven me to post this review. 30 minutes on the phone with a scheduler to schedule my 2 children. Only for the office to call back 2 hours later and RUDELY tell me that that wasn't going to work for them and I needed to reschedule. Not only that but the appointment the scheduler set was for 1 child not 2. Please....heed the google reviews and yelp reviews. Choose another office

Negative experience: One star, because I can't give them 0. They constantly lose appointments that I book for my children. They just somehow dissappear from their schedule. Try to sneak in upcharges without explanation. Customer service is trash. There's more but they've exhausted me and I'm just done with them.

Negative experience: I was turned away last year for having my daughter with me. I left and never looked back. I’ve since found much better service at Great Expressions on Cape Pkwy. I gave 2 stars here because they were not unkind in their deliverance of the message to not accept me for having my daughter there. Just simply poor standards within the practice.

Positive experience: Had a horrible start for a new patient, was told to arrive 7:45am to fill out paperwork prior to my 8am appointment only to find the office closed and 2 other patients waiting outside in the rain. Once team members showed up, they quickly made amends through professionalism and training. Anna gave one of the best cleaning I've ever had.

Negative experience: Went in by app per my dental insurance, they took my son back x-rayed his teeth then i went back , they said he needed a debridement in ordered to set a plan . That in which is not covered by the dental , so i paid for what they said needed to be done, then once the cleaning was done, all of sudden there pushing me out the door . Was hand no paper work lady did not even give me receipts of plan on how to fix his teeth , I had to take a picture with my phone of the receipt of payment . I've called no return call, no answer or i get someone sitting at home working through a call center. I have never been to a dental practice that does not give you a dental plan on how to fix your teeth . Now my sons teeth are breaking off in his mouth after the debridement. I will find a new dentist and plan on reporting to the medical board, and the dental insurance company .

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE!!! WORST DENTIST OFFICE EVER!!!! YOU DON'T EVEN SEE A DOCTOR YOU ZOOM HIM AND THEN THEY CHARGE YOU A BUNCH OF FEES THAT WERE NOT AGREED UPON WHEN SERVICES WERE DONE. Negative experience: Ridiculous, actually made fun of me for being in pain. Was told this is the last time we will try with you, you need to relax. Paid the full amount with my debit card, and then was billed over $1000. Called Office and was told they would send me my total bill since I did not get anything when I left there. The girl could not understand me and just ignored me and turned her back on me when I ask prior to leaving for receipt. I wanted a receipt showing paid in full.

Negative experience: I have been trying to call them for 2 days following an extraction on Friday, I’m in extreme pain. No one will call me back. No one will answer the phone. It’s just a call center, you can’t get through to the actual office. Sad.

Positive experience: I had an appointment scheduled for 9.30am on Friday. Arrived 15 minutes early. Waited in waiting room for one hour then taken to have pictures taken. Waited 30minutes more due to the fact they were overbooked on time slots and the machine was being used in multiple rooms. Finally it was my turn for the bite wings then the panorama views. Then I saw the hygienist and finally the doctor. I was told my appointment could be from 60-90 minutes but three hours was a bit much. After the doctor and payment arrangements made I was able to leave. I have another appointment on Monday at 10 and the hope it is better time wise. I must say the girls that work in the back were so busy trying to give each and every patient/client the best care they could. Maybe scheduling could be better so no one waits that long. Also I had someone waiting for me in the waiting room all that time Returned on Monday for extraction and was in and out of the office in about an hour. Much better this time would give them a 5 this time.

Not only are you guys overpriced but misdiagnose your patients. You all have terrible customer service and I don't know how you are still in business. Fantastic experience: My first visit was very good and everybody from the front desk to the hygenest to the dentist and the rest of the staff we’re very honest and hard working to make sure that I understood all of the ins and outs of the procedures I was to have. Fantastic experience: I've had nothing but great experience here at this dentist office. With all of the staff from the check in to the check out to the hygienist to the dentist. I have never had a bad experience here. And when things didn't work out, they would find a way to work it out and make it happen. They are very friendly, very polite, loving, and caring. I couldn't ask for a more better experience that I've ever gotten from this place. And I'm very sketchy about going to dentist. I just don't like going and they don't make me feel bad. When I go I feel wonderful and comfortable there so I will always continue to use these guys. And I recommend you do as well.

Negative experience: BEWARE: You will be treated like an ATM machine! Charges keep on coming out of the blue months later. Even after you already signed up for a payment plan of 1 year and a half for a cleaning. Their answer is a good demonstration of "blaim and patronize" the client. Dentist and igenist are very good, business office is a nightmare!

Negative experience: Awful. I never actually saw a dentist in person, they did a virtual video call!!! Insane. No professional ever saw the inside of my mouth. But they still gave me a "treatment plan" for thousands of dollars due to bleeding gums and said the dentist would not do any other work unless that was treated first. I went in for a chipped tooth. Ridiculous. Went back to my old dentist even though it's an hour drive away. They fixed the chip with no issue and assured me I did not need the procedure recommended by this office. I even looked up the cost for this same procedure in other dental practices and everywhere else was much lower. Never going back here again. I can't believe what a scam this place is.

Negative experience: Bunch of thieves, do not go here, I have insurance that was supposed to cover, xray, deep cleaning, at 100% and 60% extractions, they took my insurance plan and told me even with insurance it would cost me 2500 for all that! Then I called my insurance company and they said costal dental NEVER SUBMITTED A CLAIM BUT THEY DID SHOW PROOF OF THEM CALLING THE INSURSNCE COMPANY ASKING FOR INFORMATION ON THE PLAN! Scumbags. At worst they are thieves at best they are incompetent, both of which are bad. I tried to reach out to the office (not the company, did that and got no where) and they refuse to pick up the phone, when they did and I talked to Ana she said she was going to ask the girls upfront and then I waited just to be hung up on. 9/12/24. I'll update if anything changes. So after finding out exactly what happened, they up charged me, on "things required by the doctor at this office." They did not bother explaining this to me at the time even though I asked them not once but repeatedly when they took the xrays, infact they took xrays that were not covered by my insurance on the same day. Again they didn't bother running my insurance properly. Before you sign anything from these people make sure your covered. Don't get screwed like I did. Better yet avoid this office.

Negative experience: Very rude incompetent staff and doctors. Sat in waiting room for 35 minutes went to counter to check my status. Turns out although my phone had a confirmation of time and date of appointment, their roll a decks 70s paper System must be different and they couldn’t find an appointment. Fine things happen, but then you check your patient in as soon as they get there to confirm they actually have an appointment and not let them sit like an idiot waiting. It’s not the first time I have waited and waited and waited, but certainly the last time. I highly DO NOT recommend this place at all. Their service is terrible, their integrity is questionable at best and I’m not even sure if all of them are licensed or even allowed to practice dentistry in this country I would stay as far away from this place as possible.

Fantastic experience: Dr May and her staff are amazing and very professional. Dr May is a very thorough, gentle and caring dentist. Her assistant IRA is perfectionist. The girls in the office Nixa and Judy are very efficient, professional and a pleasure to deal with. The dental hygienist Ana is very gentle, pleasant and detailed. I must say.... I never liked going to the dentist in the past but Dr May and her staff make it a pleasure. I really enjoy going to the dentist these days! Negative experience: I made an appointment for my son who is handicapped. They took all the insurance information, address ect. They claimed they took his insurance. When him and his girl got there, they said something about his insurance that they didn't usually take it. They sat down and waited for a long time. The girls at the desk totally ignored him. They were there at least 2 hours, never answered him any reason why and never gave him any answer. They got up to leave and they asked again, no response. He was upset and so uncomfortable being there. I will never recommend this dentist to anyone. I felt so bad for my son.

Negative experience: Please avoid this place! Made an appointment for a cleaning about 2 weeks prior to the actual appointment. Showed up and waited over 30 minutes and when I asked when I would be seen, was told not until they have my X-rays. Never told me. So had to get those emailed to me and then rescheduled for the following day. I forwarded them to this office the night before. I showed up for my 2nd appointment and they asked if I emailed them, told them I did. Then asked if they had what they needed….she said yes. 20 minutes later and the hygienist takes me to a consultation room and tells me that they are not a full set and they can’t do the cleaning. Several times they mentioned that I could “PAY” for them. I have insurance and the previous office still made me pay. Big scam! At this point, the hygienist says she can get me in the same day….NO Thanks! Very incompetent front desk staff. On another note…..office is not in great shape….wouldn’t trust them with my teeth anyways.

Negative experience: Honestly if I can give this place no stars at all I would. Run go to other dental offices. This place is a scam. I only went for tooth filling and ended up with a plan to pay 4k. I looked at the services they provided me and compared them with the insurance claim, they charged the insurance for services they didn't do for me and they also overcharged for services that were covered by the insurance. They dental assistant was very rude and I was trying to ask questions about my treatment plan and instead of answering my questions, she told me I had to go with the plan the way it is without further explanation. I ended up leaving at the second appointment because they were so rude and I felt like they were trying to rob me and scam me

Positive experience: The service was good. The hygienist, Annaliet, was great! The doctor’s first impression was good and her prognosis or evaluation was good, though the hygienist Annaliet gave me a more detailed explanation. Overall it was very good, though I paid more of “what I expected to pay” being part of my network insurance, and in just the first visit I feel it’s not fair to give an authentic opinion.

Negative experience: Sat there for 1.5 hours after they changed my appointment with out my approval. Then tryied to push treatment on me that my insurance would not cover, all I want was a cleaning they refused to clean my teeth because I did not want there fluoride & antibiotics! Not happy!

Negative experience: Went today with my grandson he had a appointment for 8:30 and was ask to come in at 8:09 to go over paperwork and insurance information as he is a new patient. .At 9:30 After watching everyone get seen before and after his arrival time . Negative experience: Absolutely horrendous. Three of our children were put on extremely expensive, aggressive, and unnecessary “treatment plans”. We were billed for two of these without receiving treatment to the tune of $800. I should have known there would be more red flags when my children were seen by a tele-doc. We pulled the plug and took them to another dentist, which was out of network (we went to coast in the first place because they were in-network). After the second opinion, the “4, maybe 5” fillings one of my children needed turned out to be only one filling and my other child with “gingivitis” actually had great oral hygiene and didn’t need any of the nonsense coast billed us for (which we never received). They also would not send my kids’ X-rays to the new dentist or to our oral surgeon (wisdom teeth) costing us even more to take new X rays! What a mess! Coast is after your money, if they can get you to wait the three to four hours in their waiting room. RUN! Run fast!

Negative experience: The experience Coast Dental of Cape Coral left me with is one of extreme disappointment and concern. I arrived 20 minutes early for an 11 am new patient appt, already completing my intake prior to arriving, come 1130 I approached the front desk asking if there was a hold up and I was met with attitude and no communication. Finally I was brought back the assistant taking the pano X-rays was incredibly rude, the hygienist was nice, however left me in the room right after discussing my exam findings, leaving me incredibly anxious because she never informed me where she was going or what was happening, another hygienist saw my worry and asked if she could help I said I’m just not sure what is going on, then she never returned either. Finally the original inconsiderate assistant came in just basically handed me a treatment plan never explained anything and said it would be $1800 WITH insurance. I was in disbelief and decided to leave and I will be getting a second opinion. This office is not operating ethically or putting their patients needs and concerns first. Stay away.

Negative experience: This place is a joke!!! I called up this morning and asked clearly Do you guys take my insurance they said yes! I told them my issue I was having am I covered they said yes, I get to my appt and they take my insurance card still say nothing then get me back in a room do no exam nothing but automatically tell me I have to pay 1500 for a root canal and cleaning?¿ ok 1). How do you know I need a root canal you didn’t even look at my teeth take X-rays nothing. 2). Why would you tell me over the phone and as soon as I got there I was covered to taking me to a room telling me I’m not covered for nothing! You said you took my insurance I double checked multiple times and you even scanned my card and told me that you took it to just pulling a random procedure and price out of your butts before even checking me. God please pay attention these people bc they scream scam. Also they don’t even deserve the one star this review is getting only reason there getting that is so I can wright this review. Disgusting

Negative experience: My appointment with this office was a big disappointment. They sold me an insurance saying that it will help me a lot with the costs. Then went on to tell me that everything was going to be close to 8k but with the insurance it’ll be about 5k. I felt they were trying to rob me, and went home without even getting my teeth cleaned. Went to another dentist, my issues were resolved for less than $500. Felt like a scam.

Negative experience: This is the absolute worst dentist office in this area. I do not recommend ever coming here. They are just money hungry and they send you an a runaround loop. And even with a doctors note, they still will not do x-rays if you are pregnant. If I could give it zero stars I would because this is not the first issue I’ve had with this dentist office!!!

Fantastic experience: I got my teeth cleaned today at Coast Dental. Delmis Landeras is the hygienist. She did a great job and has a pleasant personality. Dentist Natalie pulled out my back molar on another date. I was worried she would have a tough time pulling it out because it was a molar far back in my mouth. The good news is she pulled it out easily. In my opinion she is an excellent dentist

Negative experience: The techs and front desk staff were pleasant and friendly. My husband and I had a lot of issues with the billing codes. He was charged for the same X-Rays I was not charged for (we have the same insurance). We started to question the honesty of their prices at that point. I was quoted at $550 for my cleaning which I accepted and thought it was a bit high but went forward with it (I now know better). In a separate room, my husband was quoted for a deep cleaning for grade 3 gingivitis at 1,500 with insurance. Rightly so he decided to go to two other local dental practices and both doctors told him he didn’t have gingivitis. I am genuinely disappointed in how they do business and how they take advantage of people.

Negative experience: NO THANKS!! I have read the reviews concerning deep cleaning ( scam) dare we call it what it is? And the dentist appears on a TV monitor, are you joking. Only in Florida. How is this even legal. Dental cleaning rip off is what this place offers and if you don’t sign your asked to scoot. Nobody needs this kind of de Tal care. Nobody.

Negative experience: Deeply Disappointing Service at Coast Dental My experience at Coast Dental was deeply disappointing and distressing. The staff's demeanor was shockingly unprofessional, and their conduct was outright rude. One staff member, in particular, displayed an attitude of indifference towards whether I kept my appointment, which was both rude and insulting. This lack of concern for patient care and satisfaction is unacceptable. Moreover, I was dismayed to overhear conversations that breached patient confidentiality, a serious violation of privacy laws. The areas I was in were in a state of filth, and the overall maintenance of the clinic was poor, casting doubt on their hygiene practices. In a healthcare setting, I expect a minimum standard of professionalism, cleanliness, and respect for patient privacy. Unfortunately, Coast Dental failed to meet these basic expectations. If a rating lower than one star were possible, they would certainly receive it from me, as my experience does not warrant even a single star.

Negative experience: Whatever you do, do not give this place your business. When I first showed up to the location for my appointment there was a lady complaining at the desk about billing. I disregarded her as irresponsible or a difficult customer and went along with my appointment. I met with Ana Garcia who was very friendly and put me at ease even further. I was very surprised when they told me that I had gum disease, this was especially startling because my previous dentist told me my oral hygiene was great and I had no issues. I agreed to the extensive treatment plan they suggested out of fear. The plan included many items which included a custom mold of my teeth, special mouth wash, and regular deep cleanings. The dentist (Kinjal Vora, DDS) never came into the room, instead they video called in and told me these treatments were necessary. In one appointment they maxed out my annual dental insurance limit and I paid even more out of pocket, to be clear alarm bells were going off in my head the whole time but I thought I would be able to trust the dental team who would clearly have my best interest at heart. I was eventually told in a follow up appointment that my insurance claim was denied, the office told me that "the insurance company wrongfully said the deep cleaning was not needed when it was obvious that it is" I was asked to pay another $800 out of pocket right then and there. I wanted to get this sorted with the insurance company and asked for the records and any correspondence with the insurance company. The Office Manager Yudi never talked to me in person instead sent her young receptionists to deal with me, answered none of my emails, returned none of my phone calls or voicemails. I did eventually get the x-rays from them when I walked into the office and demanded them when I had a day off work, they have yet to send me any interactions with the insurance company. After looking through more reviews it appears that many people have similar stories and were pushed to similar "treatment plans" I am deeply suspicious that there is something nefarious going on such as insurance fraud. I have since paid my "outstanding balance" because I will not damage my credit when I can avoid it. But what I will be doing is contacting my insurance company to see what they suggest about looking into this potential fraud, I will be contacting the BBB, the Florida Board of Dentistry for potential ethical violations, the Florida Attorney General's office, and telling everyone about my experience with this business and pointing them towards the abundance of strikingly similar reviews.

Negative experience: I have been using this office for many years. Mainly because we liked the dental hygienist + it was in network with our insurance. I do not typically write bad reviews, but it is time. Over the years the customer service got bad. I am not going to list everything as this review will become an essay. The office is a part of the chain of dental offices, they are connected to the central office. For the well check they use telemedicine. Sorry, I do not want to see a virtual dentist. Then, will have a different doctor every year and they are not that good. I feel that this is where dentists come to get their experience. Years ago I decided to do Clear Aligners that they offer, and my experience was awful. I could tell that the doctor was practicing on me and had no idea what she was doing. I had to go to another doctor for corrections; he mentioned that the Coast Dental doctor was supposed to be fired for that work and he have heard many complaints about this chain. I had to pay a lot of money out of pocket as insurance would not cover corrections. If they owe you a refund, forget about the money. A couple of years they owed me around $700 and it took them a year to process the refund and it only happened after I filed a complaint with BBB. Looks like this time it is going to be the same situation (they overcharged me) as currentl;y I am waiting for another refund for 6 months. All I need right now is to get my refund and I am never coming to the Coast Dental corporate machine anywhere! I see many positive reviews here; hope they will increase and things will improve. As a patient of 8 years - I am done. If there is a negative star, I would give them this rate. I feel like one star is too much.

Negative experience: This is the most disorganized and unprofessional dental office I have ever been to. First appointment, I waited an hour after my appointment time in the lobby, until someone asked me: “what’s your name again?” Then they couldn’t pull the correct diagnosis codes with my insurance for coverage. I had to do it. The dentist was super condescending and gave off “hoity-toity” vibes, and he rolled his eyes directly at me when I asked a simple question. Second appointment was supposed to be this morning for a custom fitted tray pick up. They waited until I had been checked in for 10-15 minutes to tell me they didn’t have them yet and they would call me when they arrived. So I was late to work for absolutely no reason. If I had done that to them, they would charge me a broken appointment fee. Absolutely horrible. The mall dentist would’ve been a better option at this point. UPDATE: the area in my mouth that I told the dentist I had pain, *in between* two teeth, that he rolled his eyes at and said to “buy an electric toothbrush, there’s already fillings on top of that tooth” just broke. I have a gaping hole in between two of my teeth now, where I told him I had pain, and he ignored. I’m at my wits end.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and attentive staff. I needed a root canal and was able to get it done shortly after the exam and x-rays. The wait time was a little longer than expected but possibly because I was a new patient? Either way, Dr. Jordan was fantastic and explained everything that needed to be done and was gentle throughout the whole process. His assistant (Ira I believe) was amazing as well. I'll be back in a few days to get my crown put on. Thank you!!

Negative experience: Unsanitary my wife and I both had appointments we waited 2 .5 hours I was charged 80$ for a 360 color X-ray the dr. Never looked at and I never saw these were not covered by my insurance and a cancer test which was a small blacklight she shined in my mouth Barbara the assistant got rude when I mentioned it didn't look very clean Plainly this place sucks

Negative experience: Wanted to charge me $700 for a deep clean alone and they missed multiple cavities in the xray, went to a place down the road 1 month later and got an exam turns out i have a couple more cavities and a deep clean isnt needed just a regular clean. To get a normal cleaning done and 11 cavities filled its gonna cost me $1200 when this place wanted to charge me $700 for JUST the deep clean that i didnt even need and missed multiple cavities went to this other place and i can get my hole mouth fixed up for almost the price of the deep clean alone definitely a bit sketchy here if you dont have insurance

Negative experience: I'm not sure how this place got such good reviews, if you check on BBB or Yelp you'll see what I believe is a more realistic picture of the place. My first and last appt was Jan 2024. The Dr. was OK but the way they do business belongs more to a used car lot than a dental office. They wouldn't clean my teeth without an additional $1500 deep cleaning appt and things fell apart when I questioned signing their estimate form which clearly stated "I agree to the treatment" which I didn't agree, I wanted to talk to insurance first. She grabbed the form back and sent me on my way and I had no teeth cleaning, no after visit summary, and no copy of the proposed treatment plan. I wanted to complain to their office so I called and left a VM, a few days later after no response I called back and attempted to leave another VM but the mailbox was full. I then left an email, again no response. I then called the "Patient Quality Assurance" line which simply sent me back to scheduling, where I asked the gal I would like the office manager to call me back. No response. I will change my rating should the company choose to contact me and resolve my complaint. Until then, check Yelp and BBB. Read how they respond to the complaints. You have been warned!! I'm never going back.

Negative experience: Office staff was not very helpful & office is hard to get through by phone. I would leave a message & not get a return call or email & not get a response. One of the office staff interrupted me on the phone when I was trying to give her information from insurance. She then said to me that maybe I just needed to go to another provider. We also went to get a second opinion & we were told there was a cavity that was never mentioned during the exam, and it was very obvious. Service was horrible. Even after a year, they are still trying to get more money from us even after I went into the office and was told there was no balance.

Fantastic experience: Dr May and her staff are very professional and thorough. My appointment time was honored, my experience was positive. My teeth are doing amazingly well! 3/15 My treatment is near completion now. The change is amazing! I am so glad I found Dr. May! My treatment is complete! I am 63 years old. I was hopeful my teeth would improve. The final results are beyond what I expected. My teeth look healthy and amazing. Dr. May and Ira delivered beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. May. She was honest and dutiful. It's the best money I've spent on myself. Thank you Ira and Dr. May for giving me my smile back! 12/13/23 Cleaning with Anna! She does a thorough job and always has great advice, tips, and suggestions. Anna is very knowledgeable! The excellence keeps going! I just got my temporary crowns. They look great, which means the permanent ones will be better! Dr May, Ira, Anna, Judy, and the new assistant (a beautiful young woman) have delivered such great service! The Coast phone system may be terrible, but these women are the best! Hopefully the corporation will get it together. The corporate office has an AWESOME TEAM in Cape Coral!! Come on guys, get it together! These ladies and the patients deserve a good phone system! Dr. May is an awesome doctor. She is well worth the time.
