Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Dean Cosmetic dentistry for over 20yrs. Before moving back home to Knoxville, I lived in Atlanta over 20yrs. The dental care I receive with Dr. Dean compared to my Atlanta dentist is so much better! I would leave my old dental office in extreme pain in my gums and a sore mouth for several days. Dr. Dean's office is Very Gental, caring, through and I get above excellent care!! The office billing staff are also very kind and bend over backwards to help myself and my husband to get our bills paid either by our insurance or even when we have to pay out of pocket. I am in my sixtys and I braces again. My teeth cleaning yesterday was Pain Free! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: After my last experience with Dr. Dean pulling an implant out of my jaw, I will never have him work on me again. There was a lack of empathy there that I will not tolerate in dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my periodontist. They were very professional and friendly. Everything was explained in depth to me. We changed rooms a couple of times. They took actual pictures of my mouth with Camera. ( That blew my mind). I met Dr. Dean he went over my pictures and checked all of my teeth. He was very professional. I received a lot of personal attention to get my tooth filled. I didn't feel any pain after being numbed. I've not had any pain this evening. Fantastic experience: My phone call at 8am, was received by Karen. I explained that I had a broken bridge on 2 teeth, over the weekend. At 9:00 am I was shown in to an examination room. By 11:00 I was going out the door with my situation handled, a comprehensive assessment/plan, and teeth cleaned better than ever before. I’m 70 in October/25. Fantastic experience: This Dentistry Center surpasses all expectations! When my crown fell out unexpectedly, I was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment within 2 hours of when I called even though I was a new patient!. Karen really makes things happen for emergency appointments! She explains everything that you need to know, gets the paperwork to you, is totally reassuring and handles all of the billing accurately. The dental hygienist quickly took all needed xrays and pictures and answered a lot of my questions. She also worked me in for a cleaning on the same appointment and does a great job at that! She also took the time to clean my biteguard, give me a flouride treatment, arrange all future appointments, and tell me about dental products available. I can't say enough about Dr. Dean!!! He is such an expert at what he does! He has a great bed-side manner and makes you feel totally comfortable about all of the decisions for your teeth and gums. I had fully expected to have to replace the crown; however, Dr. Dean was able to re-cement the old crown within 10 minutes! Even though he was exceptionally busy with other patients that morning, he worked me in with a full-scale dental evaluation and took care of absolutely everything that I needed. He took the time to answer all of my questions and to give me other referrals. He has phenomenal knowledge in his field! He is most reassuring and tells you everything that you need to know in order to make decisions about your dental care His office has the most updated equipment and technology that I have ever seen anywhere! I've never been to a dentist's appointment where I was made to feel so welcome and was so informed. Starting with Karen (yes Karen you were right, I came to the right place!), transitioning to the hygienist (Mary), which was VERY experienced and knowledgeable, to Dr. Dean himself (who is no doubt one of the very best), and finishing up with Melissa and Dee (I hope that last name is right), I was VERY impressed with the entire process. Update: I have had extensive restoration work completed now, and I need to give a special shoutout to Dr. Alex Pilgreen. He took what was a very challenging and difficult restoration and used his attention to detail, creativity, and knowledge and applied them all flawlessly to create a smooth and relatively pain-free process that resulted in an outstanding outcome. I couldn't be more pleased with the work he has done. Dr. Dean is highly regarded as one of the best in the business, but Dr. Alex will quickly make a name for himself as well. I'll never consider going anywhere else for any of my dental needs. Thank you Dr. Alex! Update: I'm approaching the finish line now in what has been one heck of a journey. Dr. Alex is more than a highly skilled dentist. He's more than a polite, respectful, caring man. He's an artist, an engineer, and a visionary. I had trouble trusting the process at times, but he's so calm,confident, and smooth that I knew he'd somehow pull this miracle restoration off. I cannot thank him and the entire staff enough for what they've done for me. Dean Cosmetic Dentistry deserves all of the success they most certainly will realize going forward. Kudos! Final Update: My restoration is now complete, and I could not be happier! I didn't think restoring my teeth to the extent that they are now was even possible, and this must have been a major challenge for Dr. Alex Pilgreen and his staff. However, he took it in stride, marched forward, pivoted and adjusted when necessary, and completed my restoration beautifully, despite the fact that I wasn't the greatest patient at times. Dr. Alex, you are AWESOME! I thought "bedside manor" was reserved for doctors, but this guy...WOW! He has a way of making you feel taken care of and confident that he's got you covered...because he does! GREAT job by Dr. Alex and the entire staff. Shoutout to Karen, Dee, and Melissa as well. I’ve had bad experiences in the past. The office manager took time to explain my dental insurance, even though my insurance company should be explaining it. Dental insurance is so confusing! She was very knowledgable and helpful. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was so nice, she really enjoys her job. My teeth look great, she got all the coffee stains! Dr. Dean uses the most up-to-date technology but charges a very fair price for his service. And the facility is amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Donnie Dean’s dental practice!

They were able to get me in right away to check out what was going on and in true Dr Dean fashion I was treated with great care and attention like I knew I would be. After 25+ years you kinda come to know that some people never change...... they are just good people and great at what they do. Thank you Dr Dean and staff for always being kind, gentle, and calming. I sure do love your new facility. Especially the puzzles!

Fantastic experience: They overall do a good job with providing high quality dental services, address concerns very quickly and are very fair. For instance, there was an issue with the initial total cost estimate of cavity work that was lower than the actual charge after procedure (difference of $300). In the end, they reimbursed for the difference, which I really appreciate it. All doctors and office staff were very nice, and it felt like they really care about their costumers, which can be rare these days.

Fantastic experience: This dental office is by far the best I have ever been too! Superior is the word. Everyone on staff there knows their job and is extremely competent at it. Karen and Dee in the front are your friends when you come in. Dr. Dean is phenomenal at what he does. I have a brand new smile. I haven’t had one since 1968 when my front tooth was broken in a care accident. I can’t thank Dr Dean and his staff enough. Kind, caring, considerate and careful. I love them all!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to Dr. Dean’s office three times now to get some veneers replaced(veneers done by another dentist who has since retired). All three times I was treated with respect by the front desk patient representative staff, and felt very welcomed with their kindness and attention towards me. I have seen both Dr. Dean and Dr. Alex. They were both very attentive towards me, and would tell me what they were doing before they would proceed with their work. They are personable, and very professional at the same time. If you are on the fence about getting veneers because you are nervous about the procedure then these are the guys for you. They will talk you through all of it, plus the shots don’t hurt. I’m not sure how they manage that, but they really don’t hurt. Just a great all around experience!

I have been working with Dr. Dean for several months now and I highly recommend his practice. He was able to resolve a lingering tooth issue I feared would never get better. What a relief! Fantastic experience: Dr. Dean has been my dentist since early 90’s. I first met him in Oneida when he was filling in for Dr. Jacob. When he went back to Knoxville full time I soon followed. Because I knew he was the best dentist I had ever been to. All of his staff are phenomenal. This summer I’ve had some health issues and I had to reschedule at least three times. They were so nice. Last Thursday I had an appointment for a crown and because of his state of the art office it was completed in one hour and half. No pain whatsoever. He is a wonderful dentist! ♥️

Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Donnie Dean and his entire staff!!! They have taken such good care of me for so many years that I would never even consider going anywhere else. My entire family goes to him and we all have different needs that they address and take care of. I absolutely love Kim, my hygienist, that pays very close attention to my issues and calls me out when she can see I have not been doing what I’m supposed to do because I have issues with bone deterioration. She measures between each tooth every single visit (I have cleanings 4 times a year) and tells me exactly what I need to do to help improve the health of my gums & slow the bone deterioration. Karen always calls me to remind me of appointments and greats me by name when I walk in the door. The entire staff is truly amazing and you can tell they genuinely care!!! They even sent me a get well card back in the spring when I was diagnosed with cancer, that everyone in the office signed (too many to name, but they are all amazing). Excellent customer service that makes you feel like you’re family!!!

Fantastic experience: It was my turn at work today to get my teeth cleaned! Courtney was my hygienist. This was my first time with Courtney and she was fantastic! I have sensitivity in several areas and she was so aware and careful!! Courtney is such a kind person and it shows in her work. I am so grateful that I have the privilege of working with her. For over 30 years Dr. Dean has been my dentist. 25+ years ago he told me I needed to wear a night guard to protect my teeth from clinching and grinding. I have followed his advice and so very happy to say the results are outstanding!! I just celebrated 8 years working with Dr. Dean. We have such a great team.
