Negative experience: The dentist did not even look at my teeth he looked at xray and said they all have to come out and walked out and my current person I was dealing with came back with a estimate of $9300 to pull and give me dentures I know they need to come out ,but he could of been a bit more tactful !

Negative experience: I came in for a cleaning and I wanted to know why my teeth were chipping and weak. My question was never answered, everyone seemed to be rushed. I get it, it's the end of the day but my appointment was scheduled later in the day. Dentist just asked if I wanted my teeth fixed today, I replied, I suppose so, everyone was nice and the color match was great but one tooth is now so long my teeth only closes on one side. I'm embarrassed to smile now. It was the one thing I was proud of.

Fantastic experience: My dental assistant, Savana, was friendly and outgoing. She explained everything as she performed the task and explained the photos and x-rays. The dentist also went over everything with me and gave me my options for treatment.

Fantastic experience: I like to say that I appreciate the young lady that assist me she was very helpful in explaining to me what I needed to know.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed that Dr. Hanson could not take care of my problem. I drove an hour and he couldn’t even give me an hour. Maybe this procedure needed more time but I think there Should’ve been some accommodations I thought my situation was serious enough that he should’ve taken more time and I know it’s my fault But I don’t think I should’ve been punished for I think it’s always just in a big hurry Not really taking the time to understand I hope when the situation is taken care of, I hope I’ll be able to do a better job in using a water pic. I think if I would’ve known, I was gonna have this problem I put it probably just gotta denture for my lower. I don’t like being in pain, but I was not expecting to have any problem with getting this implant and I know it’s my problem, but you have to understand me too Sometimes when I use the pic, it was very uncomfortable I will be seeing the doctor on October 10. I pray and hope that he’ll be a little bit kinder. Wanda Hellmer

Fantastic experience: Brielle at the front desk was very professional and nice while checking me in. I almost fell asleep in the chair while Ashley cleaned my teeth. She was so gentle and did a great job. Beautiful office too!

Negative experience: First Price for Dentures was high and so far outcome was not what I have expected. It’s taking too much time and effort for a pair of Dentures to be completed . I’m very disappointed especially after the first set completed did not fit at all and new sizing had to be done for a new set . This has been going on for almost 3 months .

Positive experience: I have written in my files as to what my allergies are and I was prescribed a prescription which has what I am allergic to. Thank goodness for the pharmacy. I have been waiting for the dentist to call myself or the pharmacy for a different prescription.

Negative experience: Ever since Brownstown Dental has moved to their new building it seems that they care more about upselling their services than about patient care. I have started questioning whether what they recommend is needed or just to upsell my family. For example, in an 11 year span (beginning 2013- end 2023) my family of 4 had 23 cavities filled. Since they have moved buildings (beginning 2024 - Aug 2025) my same family of 4 has had 12 cavities filled. It doesn't make sense that we have had more than half as many cavities in 1.5 years that we had in 11 years. Also, they have doubled their front office staff since they moved. This might be to help them make the increased number of "telemarketing" calls to patients about additional cosmetic services they might be interested in buying. It really is too bad, I really liked this dentist and that is why we have stayed for 11 years, but I may have to considered my options. :(

Negative experience: It's hard to begin when every facet of my dental care experience is so outstanding. I have been adrift for 4 yrs without a good dental team until last year. When my wife discovered Brownstown Dental Care after giving up AP Dental care in pursuit of free orthodontics for our 3 children at a sub standard dental system, we thought that we would never find a great dentist again since AP no longer took our insurance. We were wrong...Brownstown by far is our best experience yet. From the receptionist to, hygentist Jen, to Dr. Hanson, this place is top flight. Thanks guys!! We highly recommend this team! Well, it saddens me to edit this review 6yrs later, but things change. The dentist and his team is fine, but their receptionist Rachel is quite the handful. Solely, because of her, I am compelled to seek dental care elsewhere. When it comes time to go over discussions about records and billing, she has no patience and is always right no matter what. God forbid that you're hearing impaired...she will make sure you know that is why she is right.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hanson and his assistants are amazing! Always had bad anxiety when it came to the dentist but god sent me to the right place I was completely comfortable and they are very caring and work with you until you are 100% satisfied!! I would recommend this Dental office!

Negative experience: Nice and friendly staff, nicely renovated office. I was going to be a new patient. Upon my arrival I was told that the dentist I’ve signed for is no longer with the company., something the office didn’t bother letting me know before my arrival. I was assigned to dentist Dr. Vu and he didn’t bother to explain anything, not even to go over the X-rays. Dr Palmer was much better about explaining X-rays and my treatment options- thank you! A day after I’ve received a phone call from manager Vicki who cancelled my next appt and didn’t want to reschedule it despite my objections. She refused to let me speak with Dr Palmer, leave a voicemail, or email him directly.

Fantastic experience: Everyone took the time to explain everything. You have a wonderful staff and I thank you ever so much for your help and care. The environment is very clean and smells so good

Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly to all there patients the hyegiansntens new everything that need to be done to your teeth i give it a 100 percent family and to the doctors . Strongly suggest everyone try to make a appointment with Brownstown Dental give it a try and you will enjoy there company if your having a ruff time in finding a new Dentist.

Negative experience: I called to get pricing on a cleaning and the lady on the phone told me I needed to make an appointment before they would give me pricing and then when I said “no thank you but I appreciate your help”she just hung up on me without saying goodbye. Talk about rude!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Biernacki is truly exceptional! She goes above and beyond for her patients. I am beyond excited about the work she did on my top front row. She corrected everything that bothered me and I didn't even tell her, she just did it because it needed to be done. I highly recommend her as anyone's dentist of choice!!

Scheduled an emergency appointment as a brand new patient and they were able to see me the same day and schedule my services for the day after. The staff is very quick, kind and efficient. Dr Biernacki was very sweet and seemed very knowledgeable. There are so many dentist out there, I’m glad I went with this place!! The best part was how quickly they took you back, and how prompt the dentist showed up! I’ve never been to a dentist or doctors office that valued their patients time! Thank you!!

Negative experience: I went in to see if I could get a filling for my chipped tooth and they wanted to put a crown in instead of a filling. It was a small chip not noticeable and very easy to put a filling. He refused to do the filling. He just sent me home with a piece of paper with an estimate of $1500. He did not even file the sharp edge down. Is this how you handle an emergency?

I absolutely loved everything about the office, the office staff were very friendly, the building being very modern with their equipment, to Jen my hygienist explaining everything and being so gentle and Dr. Palmer who was just as kind and welcoming! Negative experience: scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for Friday for bad tooth pain. Come in on Friday and it's cancelled with nothing available until next week. I used sick leave to be able to make this appointment. Absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I had my top and bottom teeth done at Brownstown dental care and I couldn’t be happier. The staff was incredible. Every time I go in there it’s just comfortable. Dr. Hansen treats you like your part of his family and really takes good care of you. And it’s the cheapest that I found around too.

Positive experience: UPDATED! 2nd UPDATE!!!! 3rd UPDATE!! Brownstown dental has not only fixed the situation they have gone out of their way to express sorrow for what happened. They have shown they care and have integrity! I have changed my stars to reflect 4 stars because of how well they have followed up and its my understanding the person who caused the issues is no longer there. --- I filed a small claims case. The day they were served someone from their office called and offered a full refund. The said they didn't know what was happening because their office manager didn't disclose any of the conversations reviews or pending court case. Sounds like Rachel the office manager needs to get fired!! Rachel was the original person I spoke with and ahe was awful. Rude condescending and NOT good for their business. Buyer beware insurance/credit card scam!! This practice was unable to preform a procedure and referred me to another dentist which is OK and understandable. But the then they Charged my credit car over $750 for a procedure they didn't do!!! I spoke with them and they said they would NOT charge my insurance or my credit card. But they did. I contacted my credit card company and they claim the dentist said the charge WAS valid. Now I'm paying another dentist to do the procedure they couldn't perform AND they charged my credit card. This isn't the first problem with this office either. There was another issue previous to this one which I chalked up as inexperience because this is a new office.---UPDATE: below they asked me to call. I politely called and spoke to Rachel who promptly said "we have nothing to talk about" and hung up the phone. Obviously because of all the bad reviews and the civil legal action being taken.

Fantastic experience: With literally hundreds of dental practices in downriver area alone, it’s hard to narrow it down to one that meets your needs, let alone exceeds them. I absolutely LOVE this place. Every single staff member is so exceptionally nice & professional. I’m always warmly welcomed & feel so comfortable. All procedures are thoroughly explained & any questions answered. I also love the appointment text reminders. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone, hands down best dental office around!

Negative experience: I haven't been to Brownstown Dental in about 2 years and I received a flyer in the mail for a free exam and whitening so I decided to go and give them another chance..but from the time I made the appointment every person I spoke to or saw in that office seemed extremely annoyed that I even received this flyer.. I had to have three phone calls to even make the appointment because they kept questioning what this flyer was then when I got there and the hygienist found out I had this flyer it's like she couldn't get me out of there quick enough she was annoyed to even have me in the exam room then I saw the dentist who was actually very nice they tried to get me to do a cleaning I said I didn't have time and then I went to check out and said well maybe I'll schedule one and the girl at the desk said well you're not getting this free whitening unless you complete your treatment so when you have your cleaning then we will give you the whitening kit i just said ok and left but nowhere on this paper does it say I have to complete a treatment it doesn't say I have to buy anything it just says come give us another chance free exam and whitening before 3-31-2025..I honestly don't even want to go back to get the whitening kit or the cleaning they said people were taking advantage and not getting treatments and just getting the free whitening well then why are you sending the Flyers out? Or at the very least adding that you have to purchase something or complete a treatment to get it then maybe you guys wouldn't have that problem and would have more people wanting to come back to your office.. just on how I was treated I don't want to go back there again.

Negative experience: The dentist is ok but the staff at this place are horrible. I’m not one to not pay my bills. I have over an 800 credit score but they claim I owe them money and that they sent a bill to a PO Box I don’t even own. Then they tried to say they called me. Not a damn thing in the call history of my phone. So because they can’t get a hold of you, they send a bill to collections that you may not even owe. Found a new dentist office. Avoid this place at all cost if you enjoy keeping your money.

Fantastic experience: Out all of the dentist offices I have went to, I must say this one is absolutely amazing. They are extremely kind and caring. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I have to get a lot of work done to my mouth and Dr Hanson is doing a phenomenal job, once we are done with my treatment plan I will be able to smile again after so many years. I’m very appreciative ☺️

Negative experience: do not recommend this place, felt uncomfortable immediately upon walking in, theres 8 secretaries staring at you right when you walk in the door. there was not one other patient in the office they had opened 15 minutes prior, and the entire time the dentist was laughing and talking to the receptionists. Then proceeded to tell me they were unable to see me because they’re overbooked and busy yet the dentist can sit there gossiping with the 8 receptionists instead of doing anything. The dentists here are lazy and rather talk like high schoolers than actually work.

Fantastic experience: I really like the hygienist, Kim. I've seen her for years and she's very friendly and talkative while professionally doing her job. Competent and kind, the best combo. The dentist is also very nice but since I haven't had a cavity in years, I haven't had to test her competence. She strikes me as a trustworthy and competent professional, as well.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place they make you feel comfortable and at easy . By going over your treatments and showing you what insurance will pay and what's your part of the bill. And then give you options to pay.There will always be something to fit your budget. You will be told what is urgent but never forced to do it. Or never a procedure done and then you have to pay it. Everything done up front and you oking it first. I would recommend to friends and family they are all very nice to work with.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I just started going to this practice. We both had teeth cleanings and was pleased with the equipment used. Everything seems to be state of the art. The staff is very pleasant. I then had to have crown work done and so far, so good. I was thoroughly numbed and didn't feel a thing. Prior to any dental work, we were provided with estimates of the cost.

Fantastic experience: I had a partially emerged wisdom tooth pulled today. They gave me nitrous oxide and a local and took care of my problem tooth in half an hour. They were very caring and courteous and I didn’t feel any pain. Thank you.
