Thankfully I’ve never had to make any last minute or “emergent” appointments but I have overheard staff on the phone answering urgent calls and they seem very flexible and accommodating for those circumstances and getting patients in quickly, which is reassuring for me to know!

They were wonderful from the moment I arrived. Everyone was warm & friendly, answered all my questions, including costs, what to expect & what was being done. Staff continually checking in, never left on my own for extended periods of time. Big difference from my pervious dentist. Also appreciated that I could complete all the paperwork online. Saved time & much easier than fumbling with a clipboard.

Bright and modern from the waiting room to the individual patients rooms with state of the art technology from 3D x-rays to massage dental chairs.

Fantastic experience: I feel like they always try to take excellent care of me get me in as soon as possible and they treat me really well. They’re a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Dr. Jordan and the finance lady are the business!

Negative experience: Dr. Tillman Dentist are amazing! Always honest and it’s the first Dentist I ever went too that says you have zero cavities several years running. So when they said I had a cavity I knew they were not lying. The staff is amazing office staff to the Dentist Assistant! They have customer for life. This was 5 years ago. Now you must pay for warranty. They become greedy and get upset easy. The up front staff are still Amazing though. Sad it’s all about how many Crowns can sell what they can find make them money.

Had to get a crown and a cleaning and I can honestly say this was the least amount of pain I’ve had when going to the dentist. From the numbing shot, to the cleaning to the crown placement. Unless your dentist owes you money, there’s no other reason you should be going anywhere else. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I was a little nervous to try a new dental office after a not-so-great experience elsewhere, but a friend recommended Nelson and Tillmann and I am so glad I listened! I had a filling that had been bothering me for a while, but my previous dentist kept saying it was fine… until it finally cracked. Nelson and Tillmann got me in for both an exam and cleaning within a week. The hygienist (I apologize I can't remember her name) was fantastic! So gentle and thorough! I usually leave cleanings sore, but not this time! And Dr. Whatcott was incredible. He fixed my tooth quickly and completely pain-free. Even better, my bite felt perfect right after the filling, no awkward adjustment period like I have had in the past. I can’t recommend this office enough. Friendly, efficient, and truly top-notch care.

Fantastic experience: Update - June, 2025. Had to go in today for some teeth pain. I could feel a root canal coming, and I was right. First major work I've had to have done in many years. I've been going to Nelson and Tillmann Family Dentistry for somewhere around 30 years now. I was referred by another patient of theirs when my dentist retired. I started in their West Valley location then they moved to Murray, then moved again to the nice building next door to their old office. I've never had a negative experience here. Everybody is very friendly and accommodating. And whoever cleans their office, please send them to my house, because this is the cleanest place I've ever been in! The front office workers, hygienists, and dentists are always great to talk to. They are definitely people for the people, and I can tell they enjoy what they do and interacting with their patients. I appreciate how they'll schedule your next 6 month visit appointment while you're there, which holds me accountable to coming back for my next exam and cleaning. Otherwise, I'd forget. They also text you a few days before your appointment which I appreciate. I could go on and on how great this place is. I read another review on how "easy on the eyes" the dentists here are. I can't comment on that, but I'll take that reviewer's word for it. I will attest though that the dentists here are very friendly and know their stuff, and I'll leave it at that. Very friendly staff from the front reception people to the dental hygienists, dentists, and everybody in between . I've never experienced a long wait to be taken back. Very nice and meticulously clean. Nice new modern equipment. They always seem to have some new equipment upgrade every time I go in, which fortunately for me has only been every 6 months. Would very much recommend to anybody looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: This place is top-tier! I love the staff, and my teeth have never felt cleaner. Very easy going and they have me in and out without any drama. Also, it's the most high-tech facility I've seen. They do crowns on-site, and have all the latest and greatest to make your smile shine.

They literally make it a joy to have my teeth taken care of lovingly, instead of seemingly torture. And the professional who does the maintenance cleaning is fantastic, she has a very gentle and professional and high quality touch and way. She explains everything, communicating with you, educating you, while she gently makes your teeth feel new and sparkly. The very best.

Fantastic experience: I’m having an implant done. Today Dr Jordan started the process. I was a little bit nervous because I’d never had an implant before and people said it’s awful. But Dr Jordan was fantastic! He was fast and reassuring. It was much easier than I thought it would be. All the dentists here are wonderful and make it so you don’t have to be nervous! They’re amazing!!

Their expertise and work is exquisite, yet realistic, pragmatic too, they strike a perfect balance of quality and practicality. Wes is the best dentist I've ever had, I would trust anything he says and does, he takes the worry out of dental visits. I've never felt so much confidence in a dentist. The office is such a friendly, positive place, it's utterly comforting. I would never go anywhere else. They are my dentist for life.

Negative experience: Implant didn't go deep enough, now I need to wear a mouth guard nightly. They tried working with me but I still only get about 4 to 6 hours of sleep a night years later. At this rate my doctor thinks I am going to have a stroke due to chronic lack of sleep. Other dentists have reviewed it and said it wasn't deep enough and that is why they couldn't get a good fit on the crown. It causes my right nostril to clog up constantly, and as a result I often wake up after just a few hours to a panic attack from not being able to breathe. It just happened again for the 2nd time last night. Solution is to see a oral surgeon and have the whole implant removed. I can't believe what a recurring nightmare this has been for me. I wish I had never been. They tried working with me but it has been the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my 40 years alice.

The dentists are friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. They are good listeners and are willing to explain options but have never been pushy about products or services. I can't say enough good things about Alishia, one of the hygienists. I have sensitive teeth and she is so careful but does such a thorough job. She is always checking in on my comfort during the cleaning and she takes my concerns to heart. Alishia is the best!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dane was awesome. His bedside manner was the best. He did a thorough exam and assessed what I needed, and the areas to keep a watch on. He explained everything perfectly, so I could understand what was needed. I loved the fact that he did most of his own work instead of sending out to specialists. Only sending out to a specialist when absolutely needed. He told me he loved to do surgeries, and was a perfectionist. I’m a perfectionist in a lot of things, especially dentistry since I worked for a dentist who was a perfectionist, many years ago. Dr. Dane was not rushed, and spent quality time with me. Also, the staff was friendly, smiling, and you could tell they enjoyed working there. I am so glad I found Dr. Dan Nelson!

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is great! I was seeing Dr. Tillmann the elder for years, then went to another local dentist said I needed 10 crowns, yesterday. Naturally I needed a second opinion. This practice saved me 9k of unnecessary dental work, and has always been on the level with me. They're great, and I love my hygienist. Would 1000% recommend!
