Negative experience: Unfortunately I will not be back. I was recommended by a friend so I didn’t see that on their website they don’t do same day dental cleanings. When I called to make an appointment I scheduled for a cleaning but wasn’t told it would only be X-rays and an exam by the doctor only. The miscommunication/lack of communication from my first appointment was enough to not make me want to continue care with them.

Fantastic experience: Riverview dentistry has done fantastic work for me and my family for the three years we’ve been with them. I really appreciate the independent practice attention to patients. I especially want to mention Linda, probably the best hygienist I’ve ever had. Very competent, she does superior work, very gentle.

Fantastic experience: Hey, I'm 73, change doesn't come easy. My old dentist doesn't take my new insurance. When I entered Riverview Dentistry Kimberly greeted me with a smile and genuine interest. Jocelyn took me back and gently did triage on my loose cap. Dr. Baptiste then fixed my loose cap. Then Jackie checked me out and scheduled an exam. I just called this morning and my loose cap is fixed and I have my next appointment set. AND I like their music.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to Riverview Dentistry in Boyette for over 5 years and never had any issues—until recently. After a routine cleaning, one of my teeth became extremely sensitive. The pain continued for 9 months and eventually became unbearable. I couldn’t eat or drink anything hot or cold. That had never happened to me before, and the timing made it hard to believe it wasn’t somehow related to the cleaning. They referred me to another dentist for a possible root canal, which cost me over $200 out of pocket. That dentist didn’t find any cracks or serious problems. When I went back to Riverview for a crown and asked if they could help with the cost—just a small discount—they said no and blamed the issue on clenching. I’ve clenched my teeth for years and never had a problem, so that explanation didn’t sit right with me. What bothered me most wasn’t just the tooth—it was how they handled the situation. After years of loyalty and paying out of pocket, they didn’t show any flexibility or concern. It felt like I was just another transaction, not a valued patient. I’ve decided to find a new dentist. Just sharing my experience so others know—loyalty here doesn’t seem to count for much.

Fantastic experience: My second visit to this dentist & I’m very happy with everything! Today’s cleaning was done by Amber and she has a lovely calming, gentle way about her that made today’s visit stress-free. I left a previous dentist because every single time I was there I was recommended for new crowns or something. Riverview dentistry isn’t like that- they don’t push for unnecessary treatments if you’re not having any problems and everything looks good. I appreciate that I can have trust in their recommendations knowing that they aren’t looking to fleece me for something that isn’t necessarily. Based on my experiences so far, I’d be very comfortable recommending this practice to my family and friends!

Positive experience: Great service, and I love the dentist! She is very sweet and talks to you about your issues and understand any anxiety. I get massive anxiety with the dentist normally. Although - giving a 4 stars due to the fact that when I call, I feel like sometimes they don’t have their notes and info right about your visits. I was just supposed to be getting a fill & they advised I was getting a full crown & buildup, etc. I asked were they sure —and she stated yes, & when I asked a 3rd time, she said that she didn’t understand the notes. She then told me that I would have to wait to see the dentist. So for 2 days, I had massive anxiety… just for the dentist to tell me YES, it was a just a a fill. (It was my front tooth, so obviously I was more anxious ). Also, I feel like I’m referred out for 75% of the work I need done. I may just be spoiled because of my prior dentists doing everything at the one location. So in summary, they are def a wonderful dental clinic . A couple set backs, but nothing that holds them back from being amazing . Especially with the late hours they are open, great pricing, and the girl that worked the front desk was the sweetest.

Fantastic experience: Quick easy and super nice. The chair was a massager which was cool. And overall enjoyed the atmosphere of the office. I wish it was individual rooms though like my old office for more privacy but it’s only a couple minutes from home so it’s still worth coming.

Fantastic experience: Everyone from the office staff to dentist was pleasant, kind, and made sure all my questions were answered. They use the newest technology including digital “impressions” that are amazing. And their prices are reasonable. Very happy with my appointment.

Positive experience: Update 6/2025 I still think the staff is great and prices are good, but stay on top of your billing. They always fixed what issues we had (had to re-code a procedure, re send an x ray, and overcharged us for what our insurance pays for crowns) but I still find them better than most dental offices around who automatically tell every person who walks in the door that they need deep cleaning.

Negative experience: Definitely feeling like just $$$ walking in the door to them. I called them asking for a quote on an upper retainer only (my puppy got a hold of mine and chewed it up, ruining it). I expect a mold to be taken, they send the mold off to the lab, they get my retainer back in a couple weeks and I pick it up from them, they upcharge me on their lab fee so they make some money, I get my upper retainer replaced, everyone is happy. Well, they refused to give me a quote on the phone. They required me to come in for a quote. Okay, no problem. So I go in and unbeknownst to me I receive an “exam”. I then, finally get my quote and it’s for $344. The doctor tells me, “I even removed the exam fee for you!”. I decide $344 is more than I anticipated on spending and I want to shop this quote. The doctor tells the Dental Assistant to charge me “just the exam fee” of $65. I’m sorry. For what?! I did not need nor ask for an exam. I did not sign anything agreeing to an exam. This place is slimy as hell and I will never return. There is ZERO reason I should have been charged a dime. For additional context, I am a cash paying patient, have always been loyal to them, and have never not paid them one time. So of course I paid them the $65 today as well, but shame on them for funneling me into their standard business practice when what I was after was a quote on a replacement retainer which is a unique situation requiring unique handling. I hope Dr. Josh Wyatt sees this and makes this right!
