Burg Childrens Dentistry & Orthodontics - Murray

Negative experience: It took 2 1/2 weeks to get an appt sched for my daughter. I had already done xray and all the chek up at one of their other offices so I didn't realize they were just doing a repeat. It took over an hour to get xrays & have the doctor once again say we'll submit it and tell you more ehen we hear back. I had told them it's been hurting my 12 yr old daughter. They said it takes up to 90 days to hear back for an appt to do actual work. I had called them 8-8 got the appt sched 8-25. It is 10-8 still haven't heard anything back on an actual time frame. I called them 9-12 they said they would put a rush on it. Still nothing called again today 10-8. They said they submitted it 9-30. And now we have to wait up to 90 days for a response. This is ridiculous. My daughter has a tooth growing sideways into the top of her other teeth. So the longer we wait the more work will most likely need done. I guess they figure more money for them. She's uncomfortable. I'm scheduling with someone else. I can't wait another 3 months. She's going to be miserable the entire holiday season. Wish I could give negative stars. Added in response to their response: No. The negative review shouldn't be too my insurer because as I said after talking to you guys several times finally I was told you submitted it on 9-30. Over a month after my first appointment. My insurer can't do anything before receiving it. I told you guys it was bugging her and you guys didn't care.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Positive experience: They were great! We had a lot of brackets brake often...even when being careful, but they were good to fix them. We also had a billing issue where they continued to bill us past when they should have, but they reimbursed us. Overall we had a great experience and they were very friendly. We even had teeth extractions done and it went incredibly well!

Fantastic experience: Wow! Such a streamlined and organized process! After a horrible experience with my son's previous Orthodontist we decided to go with a different option for my daughter. I am so glad we chose Burg! I am excited for this experience.

Fantastic experience: We have had a great experience at Burg Orthodontics. The staff are helpful and communicate well with my child and with me. Dr. Iverson has been great about answering all my questions. Additionally, we did a few consultations with other orthodontists before finding Burg, and Burg was both more affordable but also more professional and informative. Highly recommend if you or your child need braces.

Negative experience: I called and asked if the Orthodontist would help with a mutual orthodontic patient who is my niece that was now living in town and finishing their ortho aligners with me in another state. She just needed a new scan, that’s all. Their dental office treats their whole family. Shockingly they said no. That’s a first in 15 years as a specialist myself that a professional courtesy has not been extended to a mutual patient family that has a need. I’m not sure who the Orthodontist is at the Murray location but it speaks volumes about the intent and culture of that practice. I sent them to another office and they were wary welcomed. I will recommend that my niece and her family find a new dental office and they will NOT be sending their kids to that office for future Ortho. Swing… and a big miss!!

Negative experience: It fees a little silly to be told that braces will be off in a year with tightening every four weeks or so, and then be told later when scheduling the tightening appointments that their afternoon appointments are not available for 6 weeks. It’s an orthodontic practice for children, I was hoping they’d have enough availabilities during non-school hours to accommodate a regular schedule for all their patients.

Fantastic experience: Brynn was great. Super friendly, patient and very helpful!

Positive experience: Nice place, Dr. suggested 4 teeth extraction before my orthodontics procedure. Cost suggested for two year plan was around $5500.

Fantastic experience: Best children’s dentist we’ve been to. Always a good visit.

Negative experience: I was 10 min late once for an appointment and was charged a cancellation fee. My last visit (a few months later) they were 15 minutes late and told me that it’s not the same when they’re late because they can still see my kid even if they’re late. The care my kids gave received here is fine. The customer service is kind of crap.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chu is Amazing! She has been our orthodontist for all three of my kids and I could not be happier. She genuinely cares and is so knowledgeable. I tried going to another orthodontist closer to my location and it was a huge mistake. Only go to Dr. Chu, she is the best!

Fantastic experience: Amazing. Love how nice everyone was and how they were able to keep my kids calm and clean there teeth when they didn't want to lay down

Fantastic experience: Staff is kind and great with kids. Prices are reasonable. Doctor knows his stuff and remembers the kids. My kids love the coins they get to use to pick out a prize from the prize bank.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was very nervous about going to the dentist today but they were so patient and calm with her. They didn’t push her to do anything until she felt ready. They showed her how everything worked and even made all the dental tools seem cute and fun and interactive. The staff at Burg’s seem very well trained in how to work with children who feel anxious. I was very grateful and impressed!

Positive experience: Wait was fine, got in and were great with my daughter who had never been to the dentist. But the dentist made my children feel uncomfortable, even the ones who have been to the dentist before.

Fantastic experience: They always take such good care of my kiddos, and really our whole family.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Chu and her team (Janet, Diana, and Daniel) are absolutely phenomenal! Caring, professional, friendly, and perfectionist. Both my son's and myself are patients. I'm a more difficult patient with difficult teeth and they are tracking amazingly with aligners trays. I can't believe how they look and the team has been so patient with me as I was a difficult case. Best team ever!

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is kind and competent. My two year old needs sedation to fix a broken tooth and they all made me feel very good about the procedure and their ability to do it safely!

Fantastic experience: The staff, dentist and dentist assistant are always so amazing with my kids! My son has a hard time with doctors or anyone looking at him in general but they always do an amazing job they are all so kind and understanding! Highly recommend!

We've been coming here since we moved to Utah and my daughter is always excited for her dentist visits even when she doesn't get the greatest news lol. The staff is absolutely amazing and the dentist is so awesome and funny. We love burgs!

My daugther was scared first time going and they were so nice and proffesional, and also she loved the doctor because he is so sweet with kids, its the only dentist she wants to go now since we find it, We had some bad experince before in other dentist office. Fantastic experience: Great doctor and staff. My 8 year old needed a crown and we heard from neighbors this is the best pediatric dentist in the area. They got us in on the same day and took great care of us. The doctor was wonderful, friendly and helped my son feel less nervous.

Negative experience: Friendly folks, but in the worst way; they'll rob you with a smile. They will apologize, but not fix the actual problem. Promise one thing to deliver another. All while doing poor work with old tech.

Fantastic experience: We go to the one in Bountiful. Everybody is so kind and helpful in this practice. My daughter is always happy going there.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had the best time here. The staff were so friendly! She brought her stuffed animal and asked the staff to do x-rays and an exam on him too, they were so cute about it! I love coming her and recommend them to everyone.

Negative experience: The dentist is condescending, and didn’t have clear explanations of things. His bed side manner was very poor, and came across as arrogant and rude. I’ll be switching dentists after such a disappointing visit. I gave it two stars because the dental assistants, and front desk staff were friendly, and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience. They know absolutely what to do with young kids. My 3yr old loves coming to the dentist. Dr. Knudson and his staff are all great.

Positive experience: North Salt Lake Location - Burg children’s Dentistry has been great. The kids love the atmosphere and earning the dentist hero stuff and the toy at the end. Sometimes there is a wait for the dentist but when there are other patients this is bound to happen.

Fantastic experience: AGDA was the best hygienist I have ever had. I have a couple teeth at the bottom that have been struggling to move and she had to do a double power chain. It was super hard to get both chains to stay on. She took her time and made sure they both were on perfect which will decrease my time till I am done. She way amazing!!

Fantastic experience: Great practice! They were fast, friendly and easy to work with. I’m so happy to have found a new pediatric dentist for my son. ☺️

Fantastic experience: I will never EVER take my children to any other dentist! This place is incredible. The entire staff is kind and caring. The dentist is down to earth and easy to talk to yet very professional. He really does go above and beyond, and you can tell that he truly cares. Every time I bring one of my kids they leave happy. They are never scared and not once has any of them cried or said that they did not want to go back. I have recommended this dentist office to every single member of my family and friends that have kids! Definitely a 5 star rating ☆☆☆☆☆!

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going to Burg Childrens Dentistry and seeing Dr. Knudson for several years and they are wonderful. Dr. Knudson is really funny and pleasant and makes going to the dentist so much easier. The staff are fantastic and are very welcoming. I would highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Support staff was terrible. We have been going to Burg Children's Dentistry for my son's whole life. Our insurance has also never changed in 6 years. He is double covered. When we made the appointment they wanted to verify the insurance. No problem. But then wanted our socials sent via email. Nope. Then they said they never got the email, and needed it resent. So I resent it to a second person while they still on the phone to verify receiving. Then last.... Now they say my insurance company has my son's birthday wrong on their side. I have to call them. I call them insurance. Nope, not wrong. And each time I talk to a receptionist or billing person they are super rude. Except once. No thanks.... I will take my son elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: We love Burg children’s dentistry. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. Dr. Knudson is so good with kids. He always remembers things that my kids like and he makes sure to mention it. My kids feel safe and confident when we go to our dentist

Fantastic experience: Took my almost 4 year old for a clean up and let me say my daughter was nervous to go but was so happy and excited when we got there. The environment is amazing and positive all the staff were very welcoming and friendly to us and made my daughter feel comfortable as they were explaining everything they were about to do when it came to cleaning her teeth ! The Dr was very nice and answered all my questions I had and at the end they rewarded my daughter with prizes and gave her positive experience. Very satisfied parent overall

Positive experience: This was my daughter who is 6 3rd visit here. We originally had her appointment as the 1st one for the day, but she got sick. We rescheduled for a week later at 9:30am. Definitely get that 1st appointment if your kid struggles getting dental work done because they get busy. We had to wait 30 extra minutes to be seen because they were busy. My daughter didn't mind because she colored, watched a movie, & got a cape with a mask while she waited. The staff didn't mind her high energy or many questions. My daughter had 4 cavities filled this day so the appointment took an hour. I learned to bring her blanket & a toy to help because dental work is tough on her. The dentist was very patient with her & gave me tip on how to keep my daughter calm. She got to pick out a tooth brush for her & her brother after her appointment along with a toy. They gave her a sand dial timer she was so excited to use at home as she brushed her teeth. Her younger brother was excited for his tooth brush & toy. He really wants to get his teeth check next. I definitely would recommend this dentist. An extra bonus they accept Medicaid. I was extremely grateful for that because we didn't want to switch dentists.

Fantastic experience: I have foster children and I have been using Burg Dental Services for about 5 years. I appreciate how good they are with my kids and how they take the time to explain to the kids and parents what needs done. Siri and Yuri work so well with kids of trauma. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel safe. My kids love to visit the dentist. This office is so positive and caring. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Cute place for kids! Both my boys got capes and masks to wear during their appt and to take home with them. The staff were kind and patient with my kiddos. I would recommend!

Fantastic experience: BURG ORTHODONTICS IS THE BEST!!!! Super professional staff and always so helpful. We have had such good care with my daughters braces. She has had awesome progression. Diana was super sweet and quick. Makes it nice not to have to miss too much school.

Negative experience: I’m super frustrated about our recent appointment! I’ve NEVER had a dentist appointment in my life and in the lives of my children where the dentist hasn’t checked the work of the hygienists upon completion. The office was making it apparent they were cleaning up and trying to leave asap, so I’m guessing the Dentist left before our appt was done. So frustrating. Now still pathetic, but I wouldn’t have been as mad if it was just a cleaning but there was also sealings done. Also, I had told the dentist we had already had some sealings done in my son’s teeth which the dentist kept saying we hadn’t. and yep, he was wrong. Thankfully the receptionist figured it out. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back to Burg dentistry ever again.

Fantastic experience: Brought my daughter who has level 2 Autism to the Bountiful location. They treated her and I with kindness and weren’t bothered by her nearly constant wandering. Even better, they have treatment rooms with doors which meant we could be there without me having to constantly chase her! The dentist was understanding and knew exactly how to get a good exam on her teeth quickly, because my baby girl doesn’t handle it very well. Will definitely be going back in 6 months for her next checkup!

Fantastic experience: They were so nice! My daughter had to get a tooth pulled on top of filling some cavities. They answered all my questions. They made the whole experience as enjoyable as possible for my daughter. They avoided showing her the scary stuff which I also appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I really loved my experience at this dentist! Seriously. It was my 2 1/2 yr old’s first time seeing a dentist. They made it such a fun experience for her. She did so well and didn’t fuss, because of the experience. They have a superhero theme and when we fist arrived they gave her a cape and eye mask which she was thrilled about. Overall they made it a fun experience and I’m sure she would be exited to go again. The dental assistant and dentist were very cool. The administrative staff provided very good service too.

Negative experience: Orthodontist and staff are not train to give a good service or treatment, I have to cancel the contract, over pay for whatever they want, Ortho Dr doesn’t even know anything about the treatment of my daughter there, he do Don’t know at the time of treatment that my daughter tooth were being removed. I had to find the old orthodontics and leave this place even I give them the chance for 1 yr or more. To charge you they are pretty good but not to be flexible for app if they forgot to put braces. Don’t go there and put your love ones at risk, plus letting them to still your money legally

Fantastic experience: We have been taking my daughter here for her 1st phase of braces. Today she was ankle to get them off. The staff here are so nice and understanding. Rose helped debond the braces today and was absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable! I highly recommend burg orthodontics.

Fantastic experience: I had Rose take off my braces today and she was super kind and sweet. She made the experience go by super fast by talking to me and making sure everything felt right with my retainers. Best part is she filled up my bottle of candy all the way to the top ;)

Fantastic experience: I got my braces off today and I'm thrilled with the results. Dr. Iverson has given me incredible treatment and care/concern. I never thought my smile could look like this. He is patient, empathetic and listens to the patient. MARTHA was my assistant today and was amazing! Nothing hurt at all, she was careful, considerate and guided me through the whole process! I definitely recommend coming to Dr. Iverson for your orthodontia needs. I've brought all of my children here as well.

Fantastic experience: My daughter loved this dental office. It was our first time and they made her whole experience comfortable and so fun by gifting her a superhero cape & mask and reminding her how brave she was. She felt so comfortable and brave she started spilling all the family business to the dental assistant She asked to keep going to this dental office. Negative experience: Update on my review... Was really great but something has changed. The music is super loud to the point I can't hear clearly and stresses out my kid even more. The front staff seems to have been switched out and all I hear is their drama of work situations, or "after work" business that doesn't need to be spoken about. And don't complain about people being late I mean have some respect. Now I wonder what they say about my family This isn't a club for workers. Good thing we are almost done. Back staff is great

Positive experience: The girls are wonderful. Dr Iverson not so much. Update the next time we were seen Dr Iverson was much better. Maybe he was having an off day. We met with the office manager and she was great. I will again update next appnt. Wish my kid good luck braces suck

Fantastic experience: I was super nervous to have my son be put to sleep and being an assistant myself these people went above and beyond by always coming out to Keep you updated on how he’s doing and explaining what they think the best route would be. After waking up and waiting for the sleepy juice to wear off completely he acted just like himself. I am completely happy to have have this team work on my son. They have my confidence and trust. Fantastic experience: My child is probably the most sensitive I've ever seen to pain. It can be very frustrating and inconvenient and I try to do all I can, but it can be a challenge in situations like these. The first time that I went with him to fix a sharp wire in his braces, the woman that helped us was rude and unprofessional, I didn't appreciate her impatience at all. If you're going into a profession with children, you have to know that kids are going to cry and make a fuss and you have to have an extra level of professionalism to handle that, in my opinion. I went and told the front desk of my anger about that employee's behavior, and they were very apologetic and assured me that they appreciated my feedback and would make sure he had someone else the next time we came in. I did appreciate feeling heard and that they were apologetic to my child as well. Today we came in and my child was creating a fuss and freaking out again, but this new woman, KC, was extreeeeemely patient. I know that kid freakouts are hard and frustrating, but she never lost her patience and took the time to do everything as calmly as possible. She made sure to explain the process to him so he knew what to expect and be at ease, and never acted like she was bugged with his behavior. We really appreciated that. 5 stars for her!! I like to think that I can give a thorough and honest opinion about things, so I won't say I was never frustrated. But the way this company handled my child and my frustrations with that other employee and made sure to be extra helpful and patient shows how good of a company this is. It increases my confidence in coming back and is encouraging in referring them to friends and family. Thank you thank you.

Fantastic experience: Doesn't get any better than Burg!! My daughter was very nervous about getting braces. They made her feel so at ease with the entire process. Recently she had to have her spacer installed, and Kathy was so wonderful to her!! Seamlessly did the work, could't have been any smoother at all. Thank you Kathy!! Fantastic experience: Jennifer was so great, she explained everything so well as my 2 kids received their braces. She was very encouraging to my kids as she explained the importance of oral health. Fantastic experience: I’ve been using Burg since about May 2018 and I’ve almost always had a great experience. I’ve had family members that have also been using Burg for a while and one of our very favorite staff members has always been Daniel. He always careful and tries his very best to get my wire and colors on with no problems. I would definitely recommend him if you’re going in!

Fantastic experience: We have been coming to Dr. Marz for a few years now. He’s great, knowledgeable, personable. Every visit we are greeted and feel welcome. Daniel is great, gentle, and friendly. No matter which location we go to, everyone seems to be happy and get along with each other.

Fantastic experience: Today my son and i had the most amazjng experience at Burg Orthodonics. We had a highly skilled lady help my son with his teeth. Her professionalism was at its peak!!! We have gone here for 3 children to have braces and never before have we been explained things like she explained them to us today. Our son is almost ready to get his braces off and has a few things that needed to be corrected before that can happen and she explained in much detail how and what could help his gums, and all other details that we wish we would of known at the start. Fantastic experience: My aunt took all her kids here, told me it was the best. She was not lying. Everyone here was so welcoming and friendly. They were all so good with my 3 year old son. He hadn’t been to the dentist in quite some time that he forgot what it was like. He went in so scared and nervous and just minutes being in there he was happy as can be. They gave him a cape and made him feel so safe. I was shocked at how well he did with the X-rays. He wasn’t scared at all! Thank you for an awesome experience. We’re happy to be going here from now on.

Fantastic experience: My two year old had her first appointment and the staff was amazing. Explaining everything so her little mind could understand and were so kind to her when she asked questions and wanted to just talk.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going to Burg for a long time for braces. Today we saw Jill and she was amazing! She took extra care of my daughter and she was really nice. She went out of her way to teach my daughter how to better take care of her teeth and what toothpastes are good.

Fantastic experience: Kathy and Burg orthodontics in Murray was absolutely amazing. The receptionist had a bad attitude and was rude. Kathy cared and completely went way out of her way to take care of us and the issue that was going on. With Everything that was going on I was goin to leave a one star review about the company but because Kathy completely took care of us and helped us fix the issue I changed to a five star. But it’s only because of Kathy that I’m giving a five star. Kathy herself I’d give her a 5 star and say she definitely needs a raise. She absolutely cared about the client when it seemed like no one else in that office did. And I really appreciate the general manager over the offices in the end caring too. Thank you Kathy your amazing

Fantastic experience: My daughter got her braces on today. I was super pleased with their professionalism and how well they worked with the kids to make sure they are prepared to care for their teeth. Love their swag bags for the kids as well.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Knudsen was fantastic with my daughter who has super high dental anxiety. In the past at other dental offices we’ve had to use mild sedation to be able to extract a tooth but Dr. Knudsen worked his magic and extracted her tooth without nearly as much trouble. Don’t get me wrong, she still put up a fuss, but he was able to coax her into cooperating and got the tooth out! Everyone in the office was very kind and did everything they could to put my daughter at ease and make her feel special as well. They also were able to get us in the same day we called, which I appreciated! The office atmosphere was pleasant and very clean. I work at a non-pediatric dental office, so I look closely at the way things are done and I definitely plan on taking my daughter back for regular cleanings and checkups. These guys are great!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Burg Orthodontics in Stansbury. This is our second quote for my daughters braces. Daniel and Dr Marz made the experience a happy one and my daughter is actually looking forward to getting her braces through them. The friendly staff is worth every penny and more for the road ahead.
