Fantastic experience: Hood Dental was by far the best dental experience I’ve had. I was lucky to be taken care of by Marleigh, Desiree, and Dr Sandifer. All three of which made my procedure process seamless, and eased my anxiety with their expertise and care they show through every step.

Negative experience: Don't go here if you have medicade or Medicare they use your medical then leave you waiting for hours on end unattended and do nothing but place a crown. Their customer service suchs. They are very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Staff from the front desk to the doctor ,hygienists everyone involved all nice and welcoming. Very professional and to the point about what service you need. No pressure when discussing what’s needed and give you options to explore. I recommend HOOD DENTAL. 100/10

He is incredibly gentle, patient, and caring. I was also very impressed with the way he interacts with his assistant—always offering praise and taking the time to teach when opportunities arise. The kindness and teamwork between them helped make this visit so much more comfortable and reassuring.

Fantastic experience: A friend recommended I try this office for my next dental visit and I’m so glad I did. The experience was very personal and straight forward. The 2 staff members I worked with was very nice and accommodating. The office is nice and clean. They did free X-rays for my first visit. They helped me to come up with a plan for taking care of the issues I had and the pricing is extremely reasonable. They will not try and make you pay more than what you need. Recently I had experienced another big name office in Baton Rouge and they were extremely pricey and I was very uncomfortable in the way they go about talking the costs. They put me in a room and gave me the finance person. Felt like I was buying a car. Anywho, I’m glad Hood Dental was a very pleasant experience. I found my new permanent dentist office.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday, I visited hood dental for my first dental appointment in over 10 years. Like most people, I’m not one to enjoy the dentist. However, the staff made me feel right at home and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. They took the time to make sure I understood everything that they were explaining to me, and a few of them even stayed late to get my cleaning done. At this point, I will be a life time patient of theirs!

Fantastic experience: Excellent place even for a young adult with limited finances. They give you financial options so they can take care of your tooth problems so your tooth issues dont worsen and cause any more pain. I dont remember the names of the women who took great care of me but I always go to them and they are not only kind and motivating to focus on my teeth but also very personable and very exceptional and knowledgeable in their field. Also they make sure and ask throughout the procedure if anything is discomforting to make sure that youre not in pain. EVERYTHING FROM WHEN YOU MAKE THE APPOINTMENT TO THE TIME YOU LEAVE THE BUILDING IS EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT! 5 stars ain't enough for this establishment and the staff within it from the receptionists, to the hygienists, to the dentists, EVERYONE! Couldn't recommend more!

Do to that trauma, I had been putting off much needed dental care to the point that it became unbearable. Fantastic experience: Simply put this was the best Dental Office and team I have ever been to. From the time i walked through the door and signed in to the I left out the whole staff was amazing, friendly, caring and well organized. I spent almost 4 hours have two teeth removed and half a deep cleaning and the team never seemed to be in a rush to get me out. I dislike going to the dentist but am looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks.

Negative experience: If you have Delta dental insurance that states "free cleanings", this office makes a shady excuse saying its a $130.00 fee after you have it done without informing you of this information. I was told by the office manager, its the customer responsibility for insurance information. Insurance says free cleanings, office $130.00 added fee. Very dishonest. Update 04/11/2025: I guess the $130 wasn't enough for what should be a free cleaning per insurance, two months later they send me another bill for $230.00. Very Very Dishonest people.

Fantastic experience: I called this office at 10:30am in extreme pain from my wisdom teeth. They were able to get me an appointment for 11am and I was seen by Sr Andrews and Ms Desiree and omg from the start of the appointment walking back Ms Desiree was wonderful and understanding that I was in pain, she made me feel welcomed and at home. Once Dr Andrews came in she was soooooo nice and understanding of my pain. I was seen and was able to get same day treatment. The bedside manner was wonderful, with the pain I was in the numbing was extremely well and getting my wisdom teeth pulled I can honestly say that was the most comfortable appointment I have ever had, when I say little to no pain omg I could go on and on about how great they were. I will truly be back.

Fantastic experience: I went in as a new patient expecting to get a possible cleaning and plan for future visits. After they took numerous x-rays it was determined that I needed one extraction and 3 crowns. I was SHOCKED when they said they could do it all TODAY, including the crowns which they make at the office!!! I had the extraction done and 2 crowns today and will get the last crown on my next visit soon. They were very professional and nice. I wish I would have gone there sooner. ! I highly recommend Hood Dental care!!!

Fantastic experience: There’s just not enough good things I can say about my experience! From making my initial appointment to aftercare, my expectations were exceeded. I was very pleased with the way my dental plan was presented as far as insurance coverage and getting the most out of my benefits. The dentist was so sweet and made sure I was very comfortable during my extraction! Her assistant, Desiree, was amazing . She went above and beyond during my visit . I honestly could not have asked for a better team of people.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time going to the dentist in 20+ years due to fear and anxiety and a very bad dental experience in the past and I must say it was 10x better than what I could have ever imagined. The office it self is so nice and well kept and clean. The entire staff from the receptionist to the dentist are so friendly welcoming patient and knowledgeable the office truly runs like a well oiled machine. Ms Michelle is an angel truly a god send she was so kind and patient it definitely doesn't go unnoticed and dr Sandier was amazing and very knowledgeable she explained every little detail. Fantastic experience: I have a son with a disability who is 28 years old. He has severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist. Dr Hood and everyone of the staff made his experience so easy. They were very accommodating and were not bothered when I asked the assistants to step out so we could give him his shot for sedation because he was getting nervous. Fantastic experience: It’s been a long while since I’ve been to a dentist, mainly because I had a bad experience when I was young. I only would go when I had to. They came highly recommend and I know why! I had a couple small cavities, needed 1crown and a deep cleaning. They explained everything they needed to do and made me feel very at ease. I never felt ant anxiety or pain with all that needed to be done. Everyone were professional all the time but really can put you at the ease. Always checking to make sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend anyone who has a fear or phobia about a dental visit or anyone else . You will not be disappointed I promise you.

Negative experience: We had been seeing Dr. Andrew Hood for several years, and always had a very good experience. This time, had a regular dental check up appointment for my daughter to see Dr. Andrew Hood. I specifically asked for Dr. Hood. A student hygienist walked in, followed later another hygienist, Lindsey, who caused my daughter’s gums to bleed while she was doing the cleaning. She aggressively tried to get me to agree to a dental procedure that I didn’t want done. We never saw Dr. Andrew. Lindsey brought in an another lady whom she referred to as her “friend “. I hope the management looks into this.

Every staff member went above and beyond while providing an amazing experience. And Dr Andrew… all I can say is WOW!! Confidence and efficiency is evident with Dr Andrew. He’s a great dentist! And I’m still in awe that crowns are made within 10 minutes :) My appt was yesterday, and I’m having no issues with the work that was done. Fantastic experience: Have yet to have a better dental experience in my 25 years of life. Ive lived all over this country, not a single bit of pain or uncomfortability during cleaning. Im usually complaining the whole cleaning. Not once with Hood Dental Care. Forgot the name of my hygenist but she did wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Took my brother who has downs syndrome to see Dr. Andrew Hood and this was the best dental experience we could ask for! Dr Hood is amazing, he’s so kind, informative, and patient. He truly made a tough situation so much better. He talked us through the entire process and we now have a plan to get my brothers teeth on the right track to be the best they can be. His dental assistant, Michelle, is the best! She is so sweet and patient, she made my brother feel safe and comfortable the entire time and he doesn’t take to strangers well but she worked with him with patience and kindness.
