Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst dental office I have ever been to. They completed five unnecessary fillings on my teeth and it was painful! I asked the dentist to stop the procedure four times due to pain, and they just continued working. The office was dirty and I continuously heard employees talking to patients about their billing - showing that they are only concerned about money. They neglected to properly X-ray my teeth, leaving imaging of the sides of teeth not showing, and the roots of the teeth out of the X-Ray. Additionally, each of my appointments took hours upon hours to complete, and the last one seemed rushed like the employees were trying to quickly get me out. Consulting with an outside dental professional on the state of my visit confirmed that some of the ways they treated me sounded immediately like malpractice. Steer clear! Western dental in Modesto messed up my brother's teeth and Western Dental in Sacramento messed up mine. Update: their Response (same as all the other negative reviews on here). Negative experience: Please tell dental assistants to stop having frivolous banter while patient is actively getting needles or procedures done; as to NOT distract dentists.

Negative experience: Horrible service, sat for 3 hours in waiting room before I was even takin to yhe back only to wait another hour for a 10 minute procedure. To have my denture realignment .

Negative experience: I had an appointment in this location and I called the day before to make sure but the next day I went there they said that they don’t have the specialist that I needed but the person on the phone said INDEED we have a prosthodontics. I do not recommend this to anyone looking for a prosthodontics

Negative experience: The doctor was great but the staff/office is terrible. You show up at your appointment time but wait for a couple of hours to be seen by the doctor.

Negative experience: This is the worst dental office. They always lie that we have a doctor. Every time you come, you have to wait 3 hours to be taken in. You also have to wait 3 hours inside to see the doctor. That means you have to come here full time.

Fantastic experience: It takes a bit of a while to be seen sometimes but I absolutely love miss Belinda she’s so nice every-time, and very helpful. She even helped take care of me when I felt faint after my appointment.

Daughter needs a filling , went to scheduled appointment a month ago , said the dentist wasn’t there that day , rescheduled for yesterday , waited 25 min, was caked up to be told they were out of syringes and could do the filling so now her cavity is getting worse ,rescheduled two months away after cancelling 2 times ,I don’t even know what to say

Belinda was great with getting me the information I need and was very accommodating to my follow up appointments and how everything will go for my next visit. My doctor was nice and courteous. The ex-Ray tech was super sweet and made me feel comfortable while getting everything done.

Positive experience: The wait time is entirely too long. On the first new patient visit, they didn't take us back until almost an hour after our scheduled times. Follow-up appts are still long but not quite as long. Once they took us back, they were about as efficient as they probably could be with so few staff members. We were seen by Dr. Seeli and Belinda; both were friendly and professional. They were really good with each of my kids ranging from 3-7 years and even gave them bubbles while they were waiting. My teeth felt very clean afterwards.

Negative experience: I made an appointment, it was confirmed, but when I showed up, the office was closed. Just a note on the door- they would open the next day. I called a few days later to ask what happened. "Are you a new client?" they inquired. "Does that matter?", I asked. "Yes, we had to make a lot of calls, the established customers were called first, the new ones may not have gotten a call". He proceeded to say that was a regularly scheduled day they were closed, it was not their fault, a call center makes the appointments. Yes, he admitted that they have the list of appointments for that day well in advance, just do not bother with calls until the day of the appointments. Asked me if I wanted to reschedule. "No", I replied. "Then why did you call at all, if you did not want to reschedule?" he spat. Needless to say, this was a bad experience, made significantly worse by the attitude of the staff. Lots of places to choose from, definitely stay away from this one- for a variety of reasons.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Seeli was great helping our toddler with his first dental appointment! The manager, Belinda was also great! We are returning for a followup.

Negative experience: Tips for success: 1. Dont go here 2. If you make an appt, make it in the morning because 3. Assume your appt will take all day 4. If its been scheduled after 3, dont bother showing up I had an appt at 330 for a surgery consult. 1.5 hours later, they took my xrays and refused to have the dentist see me. Then they sent me a passive aggressive automated email for me to schedule my "missed" appointment. I fear that if i return, the same will happen, possibly for medicaid fraud, and/or through negligence/overbooking as other reviews demonstrate a pattern.

Positive experience: (Dentist Phobia)I got fitted for dentures on July 16, 2025 the experience was horrible, the lady that did my dental trays, wasn't gentle, it hurt badly. She left wax particles in my mouth and face, didn't offer me any mouth wash or paper towels before I got out of chair. I was very disappointed

Negative experience: I really like my dentist, Dr. Seeli. She's very good, but I really dislike Western Dental, particularly their timeliness and scheduling. I wish I could just keep her and fire the clinic itself. Long wait times, procedures done slowly due to having to juggle many tasks/patients, things (i.e. xrays) having to be redone because the student dental assistant messed them up during the previous appointment- everything together is too much. I will be finding a new clinic once I switch insurance providers.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would, but here we are. After having two root canal appointments cancelled, one of them while I was in the waiting room. I finally have it done, after 5 months of waiting. Everything goes well and the doctor tells me I have to come back for my permanent crown. No big deal right. Except the fact that the soonest appointment I can get is 2 months later. Don't make the same mistake as me and come here. It's a waste of your time and health.

Positive experience: Many kind staff, sometimes there’s a wait in appointments but they do everything they can to get you in and out.

Fantastic experience: My dentist was AMAZING! Super friendly. The manager was able to help me get their coverage so I wouldn't have to pay for everything I need out of pocket.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. I went in at 3:30pm, mult apt was at 3:45, and I waited til 5:45 til he just came in and got upset that he wanted me to sign a waiver without allowing me to read it over, and once signed, he just injected my gums and went to work. Pulled 3 teeth in less than 5 minutes ignoring me telling him I could still feel it. I would warn anyone wanting to come here you might have more luck finding someone else.

Negative experience: Awful experience here at Western Dental, I did not feel welcome here at all. Office is very dirty, staff is short and not friendly. My cleaning from one of the dentist was less than 5 minutes and missed flossing and polishing my teeth. The wait time was very long for having an appointment made. Do not waste your time going here as they will just reschedule you for a later time anyways.

Negative experience: I went to western dental my appointment was 8:30 am I waited 2hour before can get in before I check my teeth it's cray they are understaffed only 1 person at front desk. There were 17 people waited to get in it's crazy I never go back again they told me I go back to my doctor to get a referral in ordor to clean my teeth.

Negative experience: My boyfriend had an appointment here. He was in pain and waited 2 days to get in. We showed up only to find a note on the door saying they were closed and to call a phone number for emergencies. We called and were told by the person who answered that she could leave a message or email them. Are you kidding??? Zero offer to help us find another location that could see him and not to mention no phone call prior to his appointment that they had to close. Worst dentist ever!!!

Fantastic experience: I called so many dental offices cuz I'm in severe dental pain and this office made me an appointment very last minute the same day which I was so appreciative for and they were all very nice and helpful. Even the receptionist were very sweet and also very helpful.

Negative experience: Wherever you go just go but not here. I called them and confirmed with them if you do such and such treatment and they said yes. I got an appointment and waited for more than a month. On the day of appointment, they said, we are sorry we dont do what you are here for. They wasted my time. Months (maybe a year) before that, I had another appointment and I received a text for the time. I went there 30 minutes before the appointment and they said your appointment is for an hour later than the text you received on your phone even though i had the same note in my notebook that was matching the text message. If your time and health matters to you, don’t waste your time here. You dont need to experience the same thing here. Save yourself time and peace of mind by going somewhere else.

Negative experience: I originally left a 5-star review because I was given strong reassurance that my concerns would be taken care of, so I decided to give them another chance — definitely a mistake. I should have read the other reviews before choosing this location. The experience has been extremely unprofessional, and it’s clear they don’t know how to prioritize customer concerns or provide proper support. Disappointed and frustrated.

Negative experience: Appointment was scheduled for 1:30 showed up at 1:15 to check in. Wasn’t taken back to be seen until 2:50pm with zero explanation from the staff or even apologies. Told them on the phone and when I checked in that my son was special needs and to please let the people treating him know and they DID NOT so when we walked back he was forced to sit through x rays he couldn’t take and then sit in the back another 15 minutes well he had a meltdown. Refused to do his referral even though they had seen him twice last year and couldn’t get his work done. So we were told we had to come back in person to attempt treatment again before they would send a referral. By the time we left it was 3:20 and we finally got the information we needed.

Negative experience: The dentist is super slow. Got appointment setup at 1:00 pm but the dentist show up at 2:00pm and said that she just had lunch. Get the patience sat on the chair for more than 20 mins and she only started exam after multiple reminder. The dentist behaviour is careless. Don't go there, I don't know why this place has a good rating.

Negative experience: Serious Warning about Western Dental & Orthodontics – A Costly and Painful Experience I visited Western Dental & Orthodontics located at 1701 Watt Ave, Sacramento, due to severe tooth pain, and unfortunately, I was misled in the worst way. They aggressively promoted a product called GÜMX PLUS, claiming it would help with my periodontal issues. Trusting their promises, I purchased the product for $1,250 – a decision I deeply regret. At the time of purchase, I paid $250 upfront, followed by $200 monthly payments. Now, despite all those payments, I am still being asked to pay an additional $1,008. They keep changing the payment structure with no transparency – it’s a clear scam. I’ve been using this product for 30 minutes every day, as instructed, yet it has had absolutely no positive effect on my dental health. It’s nothing but a waste of time and money, sold under false claims. This has been a frustrating, financially draining, and emotionally exhausting experience. I have now started the process of filing a legal complaint to hold them accountable for this misleading, unethical business practice. They must answer for why they sold me a product that does nothing, wasted my time, and charged me excessive amounts under deceptive terms. I am sharing this to warn others: Do NOT trust this clinic or their low-quality products. Stay away from scams like this. If you’ve had a similar experience, speak up. Together, we must put an end to this kind of exploitation.

Positive experience: The service was great, absolutely no complaints. Dr. Gill did my fillings and was kind, meticulous, and considerate (fillings turned out perfectly). The other staff were also friendly and helpful. The only two areas I would hope are improved on in the future are the long wait times and cleanliness of the clinic. Everything being said, I think it’s a very good and dependable dental clinic.

Positive experience: Watt Sacramento Office always schedules you and are to busy to see you . I started to make apts in person to avoid being turned down day of appointments. I still had a hour wait at least or had to reschedule . I try to avoid this location so I did my ortho at the fair oaks location instead and I’m always seen within 30 mins there . I have 7 fillings that need to be taken care of not one has been worked on it’s going on two years due to booking appointments and not being seen .I have a filling coming out that they did a couple years ago that’s give me sensitivity when I eat or drink they have not fixed or looked at it it’s been 7 months since they told me it was loose and coming out .They always book to many people an say not enough drs are in office or assistants .My ortho Dr an assistants works both locations and I always enjoy seeing them. They make me feel at home and the dr is great at his job been working on smiles for many many years .

Negative experience: It has been a nightmare since we began going there. If we hadn't paid, in full, for my husbands dental work, we would have never gone back. His first appointment was in February, and here we are in April, and he's still waiting for his dentures. The dentist kept arguing with staff and other patients while attempting to pull his teeth. The dentist would give him shots, leave, and have to administer more shots when he returned. Pain meds were not called into the pharmacy and calls were not returned. Stitches were left in for a month, and then they told him that there was a possibility of bone coming up through his gums. In the meantime, our dental insurance notified us of the portion they would be paying with a statement that we were being charged for a tooth that had already been pulled. We have also been billed for 4 bone graphs that never happened. Two months later, no dentures! Impressions have been taken, and additional x-rays have been taken but no news about dentures. These people do not explain anything about what they are doing or why. I would never refer anyone to these people. They are very unprofessional! When I had mine done (not here), they pulled the bottom teeth one day, the top the next day, and inserted my dentures that same day. No problems, fast and easy. I have notified the Department of Consumer Affairs, Dental Board regarding the dental services (or lack of) and will be submitting completed complaint forms if my husband isn't fitted with his dentures at his next appointment!

Negative experience: Today I had an appointment at western dental on watt. They have horrible service waited about 2 hours and 30 mins just to get in. I had an issue with one of the dentist today regarding getting treated. They r very unprofessional and very rude. They do not care about people. The worst experience I've ever experienced. Do not go here I would highly not recommend it.

Negative experience: Oral surgeon didn’t hear me out before my extraction, was rushing the procedure and I up and left cos I’m not gonna trust someone like that with my teeth let alone a surgical appointment. DR Tran was his name, completely unprofessional and ignorant to the voices of his patients. He should be replaced ASAP

Sealey as well as Dr. Ahmed have been decaited kind compassionate to me and the work they provide for all I'm confident when this process is over I will have my smile once again. The manager, Belinda, was very helpful, and the doctor (I didn’t catch her name) was super gentle and explained everything clearly. The person who did my x-rays was really nice too. Negative experience: Staff were very kind and knowledgable. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding dental work due to an incident I experienced with a different dental office as a child. I felt very at ease at my first appointment and feel confident things will go smoothly for follow ups. Update: As I have continued coming for multiple appointments I’ve started to have more issues. You will often have to wait a minimum of 40 minutes before being seen for your appointment. It is very difficult to get appointments that aren't weeks and weeks out. Which is an issue when they are unable to complete your treatment in one appointment because they start sometimes an hour late. Basically book your entire day off if you plan on coming to this office. There’s no guarantee you’ll be seen or get treated if you get an appointment.

I had an appointment, yet I still waited over an hour to be seen. When I finally got called in, the dentist seemed rushed and barely explained anything to me. The front desk staff was rude and acted like they didn’t care about the patients at all. On top of that, they kept trying to push unnecessary procedures just to make more money. This place is a mess—save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else!

Negative experience: The absolute worst dentist for the last 15 years. Long wait times, canceled appointments after you show up. Friday they called me and said our appointment was for Monday at 9am. Yet we get a text stating it's at 8 am. At least 5 times we have showed up and then they changed our appointment. This crappy service has been going on for at least 15 years. I know from experience. Dirty rooms, very long wait times. Plan to spend 2 hours there for your visit. They give you referrals that no dentist will accept. What a nightmare. Drive on crappy , pot hole filled Watt Ave, then wait 2 hours. That is if they don't reschedule you. Their license should be revoked. Try Suave Dental in Roseville.
