Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about the compassion and support I’ve received from Shameka at Encore Dental - The Smilist, Brick NJ. When I first came in, I was overwhelmed and emotional about my dental situation, and she made me feel truly seen and understood. She has been with me through multiple appointments, always patient, always calm, and always ready with reassurance. One thing she kept reminding me was, “New year, new you.” Since my treatment is a long journey that won’t be complete until after the new year, that phrase became a lifeline for me. I still replay it whenever I start feeling discouraged about the phase I’m in, and it genuinely helps me stay hopeful. During one of the hardest emotional periods of my life, she helped me find the positive—and that’s something I’ll never forget. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine heart have left a lasting impression. Anyone who gets to be cared for by her is truly in the best hands.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at this office and everyone from the front desk to the dentist and his assistant were just so pleasant . I also didn’t have to wait long for them to call me back, when I left, everyone in the office had a smile on when they said goodbye, and today, that’s a gift!

Fantastic experience: Went for reg cleaning today and woman who did this cleaning was great. She did everything she was suppose todo. Not like my last cleanings the woman then just checked gums and water jet your teeth. No floss no polish at end. But was glad to hear that woman is no longer there. I have faith again in this place again. They also did a great job few months ago on my deep.cleaning and tooth extraction.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is not my favorite thing but Dr.Bill and his assistant at the Bricktown facility are amazing. They are very kind and make sure you are comfortable throughout the whole procedure. The office staff are also very professional and go out of their way to try to fit you in for an appointment.

Fantastic experience: Came in for a deep cleaning with Gael my hygienist. It was done in 2 visits with half my mouth being done each time. I was impressed firstly with the fact that I was bought in at the exact time of my appointment both times! Gael was very thorough and explained everything in detail. Gael is very competent and professional and I would highly recommend him. He numbed my mouth very well so the procedure had minimum pain, very pleased with my visits.

He explained everything he was going to do before he did it. The results were awesome!! I was a little nervous because it was my front tooth but he did a fantastic job!! Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Ever since of their name change the place has went down hill fast. They have absolutely zero customer service and couldn’t care less about you. I’ve been dealing with issues for months with zero answers.

Negative experience: 50% of the work about $20-$25,000 worth has fallen out the two implants they put in the top of my mouth. We’re not put in correctly instead of putting them where they belong they put them in the roof of my mouth according to my new dentist I would not go to encore dental ever again.. Fantastic experience: The staff, from the girls answering phones, to the technicians are always pleasant and professional at Encore Dental of Brick. I have to say that the dentists are fair minded and generous as well. I had excellent care when a cap I had fell out before the year mark. The doctor, Dr.Bill,, was kind and very helpful trying a different approach with a new one and it worked well. I have been coming here for years now since I needed oral surgery and my visits have been handled well.

Fantastic experience: Another great experience at Encore! All of the staff were professional from the front desk to the doctor. The woman who did my cleaning took her time and did an awesome job. I later saw Dr. Doran who thoroughly listened to my dental concerns and addressed them. I left happy and more confident!

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience. I had a baby, with a rough delivery and recovery. My dental membership expired on July 11, and I called just three days later, on July 14, to schedule but Encore Dental in Brick flat-out refused to honor it. I asked twice to speak to the manager and was told they’d call me back. No one ever did. When I called again, the employee told me the manager “wouldn’t get on the phone” and that they were “just going to say the same thing anyway.” Completely unprofessional. I was planning on rejoining too, and now I will be staying FAR away. If a customer asks to speak to a manager THREE times, the manager should do their job and get on the phone. Ridiculous behavior and terrible customer service.

Negative experience: I called this office in pain, clearly explaining that I needed dental work urgently. The front desk staff told me they would fit me in that same week—and I trusted them. Instead, they scheduled me for an appointment an entire month later without telling me. I only found out the truth when I called again to confirm the time. Lying to a patient who’s already in pain is not just unprofessional—it’s cruel. I even called to speak to the manager and he was completely rude as well. This kind of dishonesty and lack of empathy is completely unacceptable, especially from the first point of contact at a healthcare office. I would never recommend this place to anyone seeking real care or respect. Patients deserve honesty, especially when they’re vulnerable and in pain. I will. never come back to this horrible office.

Follow up to root canal 2 weeks ago paaainless as possible. Feb 2025 A+ Jay x-ray. Michele Singing cleaning. Dr. Archer crown explanation. Gabby notes. Jackie appointments, Harrison handled my phone call. Nov 2024 Jessica cleaning went fine, next visit scheduled 3 months. Expect X-ray then. July 2024 X-ray technician took me a bit early. Was fast and painless. Cleaning was fine. Between hygienist and Dr. Chris review I learned will try proxy brush plus additional floss each day. Jan 2024 Jessica cleaned my teeth. X-rayed technician and dentist fast and painless. Paid annual plan for me and wife. 2023 July and October cleaning all good. Jan. x-rays cleaning. Hygienist great. All clear until summer visit scheduled. 2022 Root canal appointment. Dr. Archer and assistant took and reviewed x-ray before during and after procedure. Relatively painless. Administration all clear. Recommend. A+++

Positive experience: Everyone was nice but I honestly feel like you can get a better routine checkup elsewhere. What dentists typically do at other practices after the hygienist cleans like scaling, checking for mouth cancer and etc this practice didn’t do and it was my first time here. Everything felt so rushed. I also have a spot where plaque wasn’t cleaned up. The icing on the cake is that my appointment ran for 2 hours. I wasn’t called to the back until 45 mins when I got there. I do value my time but I don’t think this place does so I will be going elsewhere.

Negative experience: I have never experienced so many issues with a dentist. I called for an emergency appointment yet in the appointment they did nothing to help the emergency, took X-rays that did not help with what I was there for but would not allow me to book with the oral surgeon immediately which was what I needed. Then, they told me AFTER my emergency appointment that they do not accept my insurance. Then I called back, they said my appt was covered. Then I received another call saying it was not and that my balance was $100. I gave them a code from my insurance so that it would be covered and they said it was fine and worked. Then they called my father (whose insurance I am not on) asking for $248. I also went in and signed release forms for the x rays that were useless for the new oral surgeon for what the emergency was, asked if everything was covered and good, they said yes. I am still receiving calls for this money. I am also unsure of why the balance went from $100 to $248.

Fantastic experience: Wish I could give more stars. From the front reception to the dentist everyone is so nice and very accommodating. I needed to get in immediately and they got me right in. Been going here for years now and love them never had a problem.

Negative experience: Brick office is horrible I was only 20 minutes late. They will not see me and I’ve been with them for 20 years. I bring all family’s there Dr. Bill and Dr. Ryan was there. It was good but now the office sucks. Time to find a new Office

Negative experience: I would like to leave NO STARS for this terribly unprofessional office. My mom went in with a tooth ache and was told she needed a prior authorization before she should get treatment (root canal), but when i called one week later to inquire about the status of the pre authorization, i was told the request wasn't sent to the insurance company as they didn't think she wanted to wait for it?? What does that even mean? She would rather suffer with a tooth ache indefinitely and rather not receive treatment? You should all be ashamed of yourselves! The office had no intentions to communicate or follow up with us either. She was just left to suffer. I would NEVER recommend your office to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Moran is great, he is one of the only dentists I have ever felt comfortable with because of my dental anxiety. He has done some work on cavities and it went perfect. He’s very honest and tells you what needs to be done. Office staff and assistants are very sweet and always looking to help. I am so glad I went to this dentist, and continue to go for more work.

Negative experience: Dr . Archer gave me a filling it felt like she was nailing something to my tooth the Paine as insane and the anesthesia didn’t start working till I left !

Fantastic experience: Very professional and patient oriented. They talk with you about what is going to be done and ask if you have questions. They take your concerns and input seriously. I'm not very good with dentists and have had my share of bad dentist DR.Archer goes beyond making sure you are comfortable. They do everything they can to make your visit a good experience.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a routine cleaning and was advised to follow up with a deep gum cleaning. I was quite nervous about the procedure, especially because of my sensitive gums and some existing gum recession. I only agreed to move forward if Sara, the hygienist, could perform it—and I’m so glad she did. Sara is incredibly gentle, kind, and professional. She takes her time, thoroughly explains each step, and has a calming presence that helps ease any anxiety. She truly made the experience as comfortable as possible, and I can’t recommend her enough. I’ve also had consistently positive interactions with the front desk staff. And as a fun bonus—the 80s music they play in the office is the icing on the cake!

Fantastic experience: I have always loved my dentist dr duran because as a person with a brain injury hes always made me feel comfortable talked to me sternly when needed and caring andyou could tell how he feels when he looks at your teeth and his work not kept up on you could just tell he cares for the patient as well as his past hard work hes always been straightforward and clear but in a nice caring way until today I went in for a cleaning they decided i needed to see the dentist after they told me i had broken tooth an one with hole and was going to eventually get infected dr d walked in adressed one part of my mouth that i need crown and root canal he didn’t look at broken hole teeth but i am also not sure he was told about it so i do not fault him even though i am in pain i do believe if i needed an antibiotic or prescription motrin for inflammation he would have prescribed it what hurts me was at the end of the consult was he just left the room and said i dont know how to help you anymore I do have a boat load of medical and memory problems due to a tbi sometimes i keep up with what im told but i do evtually fall out of routine for one reason or another After that comment today i do feel like im going to be romoved from his patient list. Dr Duran is a great doctor please dont waste his time you can tell he truly cares about his patients and values his work This is NOT a blast on Dr Duran at all i still believe hes the best doc there just dont waste his time it is valuable I think today was just a day where a doctor had enough. Fantastic experience: Ashley and the front desk staff are amazing. Very friendly and up front with costs. The Dr. was exceptional. I did not feel a thing during my root canal. He took the time to answer all of my questions before and after the procedure. Maria his assistant was great as well. Very thorough and efficient.

Negative experience: I'd give negative if I could first visit was early they took people who arrived 30 mins after me, I was only 15 min early. Hour 20 min later the dentist saw me made a new appointment but cancelled it on me. Because I didn't receive there phone calls, very unprofessional. I advice any other dentist unless you wanna waste time

Negative experience: Encore Dental has become the worst dentist office I’ve ever been to. It seems like they only work on commissions now, which gives me a weird feeling inside. I don’t feel like I’m being listened to for my problems. Routine procedures are no longer handled by the dentist; they’re always referred to a specialist or taken downstairs to someone else for new issues that weren’t previously mentioned. The billing is also atrocious. I have to pay for everything every visit, and then 1-2 years later, I’m surprised to find out that I owe an additional $80-200 because of some nonsense they come up with. Insurance always says it’s the dental office’s fault. Encore Dental is just not the same anymore. I can’t go in for anything routine anymore. I’d rather save myself the time, headache, and toothaches by going to a different dentist.

Fantastic experience: if you have special needs this best encore location to go. Please the office manger is amazon! Make sure Andrea check you the other lady might misunderstand your insurance and make the whole experience and bad one. Especially since Horizon Total care has one card for dental. ( this is frustrating for some people) Doctor D is amazing the only i see. mechelle is the one and only who clean my teeth.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her teeth done here and it was such a beautiful job, so I decided to come as well… my experience was quick and right yo the point of what needs to be done… I like that no one is looking to sell you a whole new mouth of teeth. Excellent experience!

Negative experience: Place has gone down hill since selling to the smilist group. Only want to upsell EVERY procedure. Go in for a cleaning, be told you need a root canal, have a cracked crown, whelp, somehow need a root canal again. Have a cavity need a root canal. It’s pure ridiculousness. Already have gone and got second opinions and they are MONEY HUNGRY GREEDY LIARS! Never going back. Couldn’t pay me to go! GET SECOND OPINIONS WATCH N LEARN!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to encore dental over 10 years. Extractions, root canels,ct Crowns. This was first under sedation and I will never have another pulled any other way, I was extremely pleased so thank you encore and tesm. My last visit to endrocologist was very pleasant. Receptionist was greeting, she was pleasant and as I waited for dr to come in we had very good conversations every staff was professi onal, courteous.and showed me a genuinely care for me as a person i wish all doctor visits were like this. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kadakia was absolutely top notch! He is a thoughtful and kind doctor who takes the time to explain what is going to happen for your visit. I had to replace a crown and the first visit was stressful for me but he was an expert in numbing the area to where I didn't even feel the drilling he had to do! I actually asked if he was almost finished and he was already done and I didn't know it! Returning for the permanent crown was a piece of cake - in and out of the chair in 20 minutes! Dr. K really is an excellent doctor and perfect for someone who is "dental shy" You will feel very comfortable and wonder why it took you so long to schedule an appointment

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 starts I would. The front desk staff is so unprofessional. I had an occurring issue with one dentist that completely messed up 3 of my teeth. After 3 times of going there to fix them they finally aren’t green anymore, but I have been in such pain since leaving. I do not recommend this dentist to anyone!

Their bedside manner along with their professionalism at the front desk were impressive to me ,and they made a nervous me feel very comfortable .They were amazing and my procedure went smoothly . Negative experience: I had a wisdom tooth removed which was very painful and received inadequate pain management. I was told to take motrin and Tylenol. I am unable to take Motrin or any N.S.A.I.D'S do to heart failure and kidney failure which They were aware of. I had to go to Ocean Medical CenterTo receiveTo AdequatePain medication. (Percocet). I shouldn't have To go to another doctor to receivePain management For a procedure done by another doctor.Absolutely unacceptable! Thank God for the good doctors at Ocean Medical Center

Fantastic experience: I was able to get an appointment very quickly and had a significantly better experience at this practice than any other I have been to. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to. My hygienist was thorough and gave me insight into my tooth and gum health. The Dentist was equally informative, very friendly and personable, and gave me solid advice to avoid costly procedures down the line - directly relating to the issues I presented with. I will be happily coming here in the future!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Farringher is a wonderful endodontist!! I went today to get a root canal redone, and not only did I not feel an ounce of pain, he was also very kind. His assistant was great as well! The girl at the front desk is the absolute sweetest! Would recommend 1000%!!

Negative experience: Horrible experience. I'd give a zero star if I could. I broke a tooth and the dentist spared me 3 minutes and sent me away in pain that's radiating the whole side of my swollen face. Didnt even tell me what I could do about the pain. What a joke.

Negative experience: So disappointed. Horrible job getting dentures. Shaved my upper jawbone so much my face sags, dentures fit horribly and despite adjustment after adjustment, I'm in constant pain,cannot eat and want to die.

Fantastic experience: From making my appointment online to my visit I cant say enough , everyone showed professionalism.Dr.Archer was great she was up front with my options I went in for . Highly recommend Encore if your looking for a dentist .

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Encore Dental of Brick. The dental hygienist did a deep cleaning on the right side of my mouth. It was not unpleasant at all. I have a return visit for next week to do the deep cleaning on the left side. I was out of there in about 45 minutes and I thought the hygienist was professional and did a great job. Let's see what happens on my next visit.

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and knowledgeable professionals. The office is clean, bright and comfortable. Dr. Archer provides an excellent examination and explanation. She has a great personality and performs professionally and with care. My cleaning was excellent and the tech Dorothy was professional and personable.

Negative experience: Showed up to my appointment at 3:45, when my appointment was scheduled, & now it’s 4:51 with no signs of them calling me in the back & I have had a raging tooth ache for 2 weeks. I can understand when an emergency walks in the door but to not inform a patient that has a scheduled appointment so they can make other arrangements or to reschedule is absolutely crazy. I have been sitting here for an hour & 10 min but if I had shown up past their 15 min window my appointment would have been canceled & rescheduled. Now I don’t mind sitting here & I don’t mind waiting but to not say a word to me knowing when my appointment time was & that I arrived on time is absurd. Makes me feel like my appointment wasn’t as important as their emergency walk in. & the woman behind the desk that gave me the attitude cause I was annoyed was just beyond me cause had it been her at an appointment she would have done & said something as well. I am just wondering what happened to this place & how their patient care has changed. Feels like a medical meet market just like every medical place nowadays.

Fantastic experience: Encore Brick is a great office. Everyone who works there is pleasant and knowledgeable. We're always seen within 5 minutes of our scheduled appointment time. No complaints!

Positive experience: Every since the smilist has taken over the practice has gone downhill. No one answers the phone or you just get hung up on. The doctors are still nice and knowledgeable and professional but I think that since there is an automated text service to set up appointments, the receptionists are not doing their jobs
