Fantastic experience: Front desk was very helpful with setting up another appointment and answering questions around payment plans. The coordinator, hygienist, and dentist were all very nice and informative about what my appointment entailed. Overall, would recommend to anyone in South Brooklyn and beyond.

Negative experience: Treated me horribly, took photos of the tooth. I kept telling him I just needed a filling and refused to give me a tooth filling, they made excuses. Oh you should get a root canal and this and that they're always trying to upsell you something. The worst dentist ever with a horrible staff. No management. Good luck here☠️Don't go here, save your self!!!!!

Negative experience: ⭐☆☆☆☆ I had a really bad experience at this dental office. I came in with a toothache and told them I was in pain and needed help. They took X-rays, but after that, nothing was done to actually fix the problem or help with my pain. The dentist looked at my teeth and said I needed a filling, but the receptionist later told me they didn’t have any appointments available until March of next year. I couldn’t believe it — I came in for an urgent issue, and they expect me to wait months just to get it treated. To make things worse, after the dentist left, another person came in and started trying to sell me on other expensive dental services like getting a bridge and other procedures that had nothing to do with why I was there. It really felt like they were more focused on upselling and billing my insurance than actually helping me with my pain. I left just as uncomfortable as when I came in — and extremely frustrated. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for genuine, patient-focused care.

Negative experience: The worst dental office period. I waited a month for my crown and the dentist decides while I'm on the chair that he didn't have the tools to perform it. The office runs by answering service so you cant even speak to anybody over the phone. Horrible place. They have no empathy or sympathy at all. Don't go there. They made me get root canals because they failed to fill my teeth when it was needed.

Negative experience: The worst dental experience of my life. I was desperate to be seen quickly since I am in pain. I didn’t read reviews. Showed up to a cramped, weird, dirty office space. Almost creepy. Music blared, the staff laughed and flirted and I felt like an after thought. Uncaring, young, and unenthusiastic dentist and assistants. I need alot of dental work, but was there for an emergency root canal. I have swollen gums, and shooting pain. They did way too many x rays. The young female Asian dentist spent like 10 minutes with me, poked my mouth, mumbling about braces, maybe my tooth was cracked and I needed a root canal. She mumbled about needing implants where I had previously lost teeth, or I would lose more. Then some payment plan guy tried to tell me it was going to be $4,000 for a crown if I didn’t want a metal crown from Medicaid. Said I could go on a payment plan. Clearly scare tactics and scam at that point. They made zero attempt to refer me for the root canal. The worst? They didn’t even bother to call in an antibiotic prescription, or offer pain meds. On a weekend. I’m going to file a BBB complaint, this was malpractice. Please, read all of the 1star reviews, they are there to SCAM YOU OUT OF MONEY. Other good reviews are fake. Now I have to go the ER tomorrow. DO NOT, I repeat, do NOT go here.

Negative experience: I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about this place. My visit was hands-down the most unprofessional and uncomfortable dental experience I've ever encountered. From the moment I walked in, the environment was chaotic — loud music, staff laughing and chatting in the hallway, and a general lack of professionalism. The office itself was filthy. Trash bins were overflowing, equipment looked visibly dirty, and the examination tools were rusty. Yes, rusty. When I brought this to the doctor's attention, his response was, “It’s not dirty, just a little rust,” and asked if I wanted a new set — as if that was optional. That alone should have been a red flag. After voicing my concerns, both the doctor and staff became noticeably rude and dismissive. The hygienist rushed through my cleaning in under two minutes, splashing water all over my face and then walking away without a word. I had to ask for a paper towel just to dry myself off, while the staff and doctor remained outside laughing and talking. There was zero sense of care or professionalism, especially for a new patient. When I tried to discuss my visit with the doctor, he stood behind me instead of in front, making it incredibly difficult to have a proper conversation — especially over the loud music and background noise. If you're looking for a welcoming, clean, and competent dental practice, I strongly suggest going elsewhere.

Negative experience: I feel morally compelled to share my experience at this dental practice.This was my first appointment at this practice,the wait time was long,following x-rays I sat in A room for about 35 minutes.Before seeing the dentist,the care coordinator,Rosa came in to access my teeth(not sure what her dental credentials are)but she was there to discuss the financial parts of my care.My appointment was for a tooth extraction using my dental insurance.The dentist came in and accessed me for less than five minutes and I had to ask his name twice.The dentist left and Rosa returned,imagine my shock and bewilderment,when I was told that I would have to pay $3000 to have any work started,when I questioned why I could not have my tooth extracted, Rosa became hostile,I exited the office,knowing I had "dodge a bullet".In conclusion I say to anyone visiting this practice"buyer beware"

Negative experience: I would give ZERO stars if I could. Update after your reply: Spare me the gaslighting and manipulation. What a gross reply — instead of the time call I was told I would get. Was called now — 2 weeks later and the nasty supervisor is why they are all incompetent— it comes from the head. I mean even an authentic apology she could not get out her mouth. Kept cutting me off, talking over me. Telling me irrelevant things, and unwilling to accept they don’t know how to act in a work place — esp a medical one. They should he closed! This place is a scam and WHY people don’t go to dentists. I didn’t more time with a random lady who applied for a loan for me — when no follow up appointment or procedure was set. The Asian lady doctor was RUDE, short, judgmental and busy running out the roll before I could even get a mouth guard prescribed. As in another review — they just try to get thousands of dollars out of you — in a pretty disgusting way. I went out of my way to get this location, because I was told the others ones don’t take my insurance. So I wasted my day with a sham location and a horrible doctor leads the way for you treated like garbage. Med school isn’t worth a dollar if people don’t know bed side manners.

Negative experience: By far the worst dental cleaning of my life. I waited two hours for a cleaning that lasted less than 2 minutes with a dental hygienist that gave me a face shower with the water flosser. I was soaked. There was no teeth scraping and no flossing. I'm absolutely appalled at the lack of service and wait times. They were over 30 minutes late to take me back and the majority of the time was spent waiting for people to come in for 1 minute or less. Maybe if they stopped standing around discussing Love Island and actually worked, a teeth cleaning wouldn't take two hours for a 2 minute service. Go anywhere else but here.

Negative experience: I visit Canarsie dental for a tooth removal then was told that I had a gum disease and they have to remove the teeth and do a bone graph for a total of $8000 it was all a lie. I just needed to get the tooth pulled. I went to two other Dentist no gum disease what I’m saying is be careful they will try to charge you for things you don’t need especially time in need because I was in a lot of pain

Negative experience: My girlfriend and I went to this location to get her 2 teeth pulled. She did some X-rays and they wanted to give her a Bone Graph when all she needed was a tooth pull. When inside, the nurse was rude saying don't you work / good credit / don't you do taxes . 6k for Bone Grab / Graph when all we wanted was to get (2) Tooth Pulled like what the hell! Who has 6k to drop for this type of cosmetic crazy. On the application, we said ( Pull tooth ) that's all. ( I'm here for tooth Pull ) like 4 times to every person in the back that asked. But they're so greedy $$$ trying to force others to get these bogus cosmetics when all was needed was a simple tooth extraction. You Guys Suck!

Negative experience: This place is a joke. They took pictures of my mouth 10 different photos just for them. They sent me in a chair for five minutes for cleaning so cool cleaning and set me on my way. Told me I had gum disease, which was a lie then I need a deep cleaning to get me to come back to use my insurance never again report them to the Better Business Bureau

Negative experience: This place is a total joke. I saw four different people who came in and took pictures of my teeth for 10 minutes just to upsell that I needed to have some deep gum treatment after looking at a photo of my teeth. and then when I said I was here for a cleaning they did a about a two minute cleaning and sent me on my way. The doctor just came in for one minute, he recommends some deep cleaning where they numb my gums. The whole place felt shifty 100% do not recommend

I found this office close by so i called asked if they doing surgery for wisdom tooth the girl on the phone said yes and she booked me an appointment i went over there waited for more than 2 hours they just talking to each other not worry about The patients and some one came to me ask what i am there for i told him i need Tooth extraction.! he said ok i will gave you referral .! i explained to him that when i called and to make the appointment i told the girl on the phone that I needed Tooth extraction thats why i am here now ! Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the quality of care provided at this practice. Over the past few years, the overall experience has significantly declined. Wait times are excessively long, and there are no updates provided to inform patients of delays. Additionally, some staff members have been unprofessional, displaying rudeness and a lack of attentiveness. I visited for tooth and jaw pain, yet the dentist spent only a few minutes with me and failed to conduct a proper examination, such as taking an x-ray. Instead, I was told everything seemed fine without a comprehensive assessment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice for those seeking thorough dental care. Furthermore, I’ve had concerns about financial practices within this office. A close friend of mine, who was in urgent need of dental treatment, unknowingly had a $60,000 credit opened in her name. She believed she was simply signing up for a payment plan, only to discover later that the credit was immediately maxed out, leaving her with significant debt and incomplete dental work. This situation is deeply troubling and reflects a push for unnecessary services rather than prioritizing quality care. I strongly urge others to consider alternative options to avoid potential financial and healthcare-related issues.

Positive experience: Dr. Held && Nicole were awesome!! Two of my medical transportation rides to my appointment canceled on me, so I ended up being 40 minutes late, but they still saw me, thank God. I'm so grateful!!! Super awesome. I highly recommend it. Great with kids. Before and after, my tooth was filled today. Got my smile back today!! UPDATE: 1/15/25 came back for my filling for the biggest cavity two weeks ago and been going through pain ever since so set up appointment for 1/15/25 at 5:30 but I'm still siting here in the waiting room while people that just walked in gets called inside. It's now 6:22pm and I'm in pain still here waiting for my name to be called . Can barely eat drink and lay on that side the filling was done on which is why I'm here. Long wait time. I got here at 5:23pm and signed the clipboard at 5:25pm. Lack of communication sucks. Let you patients know what's going on!! I was told I was next 30 minutes ago but I'm still here waiting and about 5 ppl done went in so far. I could understand if I was a walk in but you don't do this to patients with appointments so dropping my 5 star review down to 4 just work on informing me and your other patients of what's going on in the future when you go over our scheduled time.

Negative experience: If I could give them 0 stars I would. A couple of problems with this office. I would not recommend this place as they do not want to communicate and are money hungry. 1) You cannot get a hold of them via phone. They have an answering service but they do not ever connect you to the receptionist or follow-up. 2) if you want to switch to another office they will not answer their calls either so you would have to go in person to get your medical records/ copy of X-rays 3) If you need any procedure done they will not communicate with your prior that your insurance doesn’t cover it and pressure you to pay for them out of pocket. 4) their wait times are horrendous. If you have an appointment, expect to be there for a couple of hours waiting 5) they charged $2700 for a single tooth extraction + bone graft. The billing coordinator was rude and did not explain what type of bone graft they put in. The procedure was no longer than 10 minutes. I called a couple of other offices and they confirmed we spent way too much.

Negative experience: They do not contact your insurance. All they want is for you to pay thousands extra. I went here and they said my procedure was $8000. Didn’t do it and went elsewhere and the same procedure turned out to be $1500

Negative experience: Horrible place! Very pushy into opening up care credit. Not helpful at all. Took X-rays here wanted another opinion. Asked for X-rays taken gave me one picture. I wouldn’t recommend this place. They aren’t about the people just forcing you into debt.

Negative experience: These people are full of none sense . My son had a brace treatment for 7000.00 they told me the insurance covers 1400.00 so I paid 5600.00. A little bit over two years, they told me my insurance claimed they are not paying anymore and there is a balance of $355.00 I have to pay. I was upset. There is no transparency. They should have very clear with, I am always with my son during appointments. If I could give 0 star, that’s what I would give. Go to a different dentist office. All the sudden they told me oh he is finish but they did not want to remove the brace till I pay the money. Those people are thieves run for your life.

Negative experience: Would give 0 stars if possible. This office will not submit any predeterminations or work with your insurance so they can make as much money as possible, as quickly as possible. Even if it’s a detriment to their patient’s dental and overall health. They will fail to explain to you their office requires bone grafting and will have you finance or pay thousands out of pocket for. They will pressure you into paying right then & there and have you submit a claim you know your insurance won’t cover. And when you finally realize the scam that’s going on here, that these dentists have no interest in actually helping you and you complain to this office, they will ONCE AGAIN attempt to extort money out of you for necessary dental procedures. Truly shameful, greedy, money hungry people. Every last one of them. According to other reviews, I am one of many people to have had similar experiences. So this office is WELL aware of “miscommunication” and “mishandling of paperwork” and already have their prewritten scripts ready to deny any wrongdoing. I was in excruciating & agonizing pain for months, my teeth were in absolutely horrible condition for anyone, any age. These dentists and hygienists were literal robots, speaking like medical textbooks offering no empathy or sympathy, even. I had multiple tooth infections as well as a jaw infection. Yet for 6 months, they did not do any type of work on me in an attempt to squeeze thousands out of me while charging my insurance for basic visits and cleanings I never received. From my very first appointment, I explained I was disabled & unable to pay a dime out of pocket and would need this dental office to work with my insurance. Instead of explaining they required bone drafting, they referred me to a terrible oral surgeon who operates out of a dirty urgent care. I walked out after a hour because I was not about to get sick or infected with anything from this sketchy urgent care / oral surgeon office. (Wtaf??) This office failed to submit my first predetermination, told me to wait another 4-6 weeks as they “resubmitted” it. I called the office two weeks in, they reviewed my file, said it was submitted, and to wait another month before calling back. For whatever, after 4 weeks of waiting (for the second submission) my gut told me to call my insurance & viola, the last time anything was sent to my insurance from this office was in early April. It was mid-August. After calming my self down, I called Canarsie Cosmetic Family Dental to figure out what was going on and they acted shocked and apologetic. The woman recording my complaint was very condescending and spoke to me like I was in kindergarten, attempting to explain to me how my own insurance worked and that they don’t cover bone grafting & that we could go ahead and set up another appointment if I could pay out of pocket. She was literally attempting to make a buck off of me as I was explaining the fact I’ve been unable to chew or smile for months at this point. And that this office did not mishandle any paperwork or fail to communicate anything instead they must’ve intentionally mishandled my case in an attempt to make more money than they would working with my insurance. Otherwise, it’s just medical neglect. At 3-5 different appointments over 6 months, I made sure to explain at each one, I could not afford anything out of pocket. I need you to work with my insurance. If you cannot, please refer to me to someone who will. They said they would. They never did. Best case scenario, this office is employed by incompetent and apathetic medical professionals. Worst case scenario, they’re intentionally mishandling patient care in attempt to make more money than they typically would working with insurance. Most likely and realistic scenario, they’re greedy, money hungry semi-professionals who don’t care about their patients health. Avoid this office at all costs. Even if you can afford their outrageous prices, you should choose to support a dental office & group who cares about the community they serve.
