Positive experience: They were able to fit me in same day! They were very friendly. Place was very clean. Only thing was they ended up needed to do my x-rays twice (due to server issues) which was really uncomfortable the first time around all ready.

Fantastic experience: Cherry, Hailey & Dr Chen were absolutely amazing. I called today and they were able to get me in within 2 hours. Showed up did the consult, got the treatment plan, paid and got a wisdom tooth extracted all within an hour and half. This place did not come up in my original search, but was super glad I found it.

Negative experience: All about getting your cash! I blame myself for not doing my homework with this dentist. If you have insurance do not go there. They prefer you to pay thousands of dollars up front. They could care less if you have insurance. The lady at the front desk didn't even try to run my insurance. I lost my 165 dollars. I will go to my personal dentist tomorrow, just googled this place because of emergency cracked tooth. Thanks but no Thanks.

Negative experience: I would give ZERO stars had I been given that option. This place was quick to collect $165 from me. The dental hygienist was SO ROUGH on me, I left the chair and went to get help. When explaining to her my mouth hurt she continued to tell me to let her do her job. Must have told the dentist all kinds of stuff. Needless to say this dentist took my money and told me to go to urgent care or the ER! He didn’t like my plan of removing my teeth. He told me he could save them all at what cost $3,000 per tooth? Not today!!!!!! Please do your homework on dentist. Money isn’t hard to come by for some. Dental emergencies happen to us all. You’ve been warned, please think twice
We understand how stressful dental emergencies can feel, and we’re truly sorry you left our office feeling this way. To clarify, no treatment plan or financial discussion was finalized before you chose to leave. Our doctor did evaluate you and recommended a more conservative approach than removing all of your teeth, as we want to preserve natural teeth whenever possible.
We do not take lightly when patients feel uncomfortable during their visit, and we’ll use this feedback to continue improving how we support people who come in under difficult circumstances. If you would like to discuss your visit further, please contact our office directly so we can help.
Negative experience: $3000 for two extractions that my dentist said shouId have cost only $800. I was a cash pay client with no insurance the same as I am with my dentist. They take hardly no insurance despite the web saying they take most. The doctors are good but you will PAY THE PRICE! If you can wait I would suggest going to a non emergency dentist. They will tell you their prices are the same as any other dentist and that is absolutely not true! They are THOUSANDS MORE! They wanted to charge me $900 for a deep clean that my dentist charged $350 for. I lost my down payment but saved myself alot more.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrifying experience for someone with Dental anxiety. I came in on a Sunday afternoon (which is the last thing I want to do) because of crippling tooth pain. I was greeted by a woman who immediately helped get my insurance entered and all fine and dandy. She gave a great sales pitch on the procedure that was needed, even mentioning that the extraction wasn’t going to be a problem because she can do them. Telling me I did not have to worry about infection or anything else. She even went as far as to tell me that I would be fine to drink alcohol only days after the extraction. This place is A SCAM. An absolute scam, with zero zero zero sympathy for someone in pain. I will say, the woman who took X-rays was fantastic and comforting however the dentist and the saleswoman up front are not good people. I had the money for the procedures and the dentist flat out told me he didn’t know why I couldn’t get numb. After 2 injections they then denied me service. They quickly wrote me a prescription for a benzo to help me come back the next day relaxed. Charged me $4,450 for quite literally nothing. Left their place with a face numb and a tooth that is STILL in pain. And quite literally the ONLY way i was allowed to leave was when i had to raise my voice and demand my refund. Which of course is no where near immediate. So here I sit, $4,500 poorer and still in pain. After I had stressed that it was extremely pricey the woman taking my money even asked me to leave a Google review. Which I am doing. 0/5 I would HIGHLY recommend not going to this establishment and I would highly recommend seeking emergency treatment elsewhere.

Negative experience: TL;DR- I came in massive amount of debilitating pain and left in the same pain with no treatment plan. Do not go here. Let me start by saying I have extreme dental anxiety so these situations also feel heightened. I mentioned that several times and it feels like nobody at the office cared. I’ve been to the UMKC school of dentistry and been handled by students who were more kind and gentle with me. From the start this experience was a nightmare, if my dental pain hadn’t been an 8 or 9 out of 10. I wouldn’t even have gone in. I called the night before I went in (9/26/25) and was told they offer oral sedation. I verified this twice on the phone and tried to schedule then, I was told they only do same day appointments. I scheduled my appointment on Saturday (9/27/25) and was told they DID NOT offer sedation. Fine whatever I feel like my tooth is killing me, so I go in. When I arrive I pay the $165 fee. They don’t even check my insurance though their website brags that they work with insurance. She struggles to even confirm I have insurance. We get it confirmed and move forward. During the x-ray portion I was helped by a lovely person named Mel (Melanis, I think. She was amazing). After the x-rays and other visuals things went downhill. I see the doctor for maybe three minutes total before he goes to work on another patient. The desk attendant comes in and immediately starts talking numbers with me. I feel pressured. They estimate $2,500 for my fix. I mention again that I have insurance and they tell me (falsely) that that is the cost with insurance. From seeing other comments and having spoken with my dental insurance I don’t believe this. I’m on the fence, crying because I’m in pain and she keeps asking how I’m going to pay. Immediately she pressures me to apply for their financing option (Sunbit). I’m approved but it’s not enough. I ask if instead of interventions to save the tooth can we just pull it. Five minutes of me being told why that’s a bad option. She goes to see if the doctor would be willing. It takes about twenty minutes. When she returns it’s suddenly the best option to pull the tooth but the doctor doesn’t want to. They refer me to oral surgery. Nothing for my pain, nothing for a treatment plan. IF they bill my insurance they will be paid for services twice. They’re a scam company that preys on people who are desperate. Save your time and money.

Fantastic experience: I come in yesterday(09/27) and again today (09/28/25). I had severe jaw pain in my right side. The staff is so kind. They've been really reassuring despite me being terrified. They walked me through everything and answered every question I had. Cherry was super sweet. She could see how anxious I was getting and talked to me until I was relaxed. I couldn't have asked for anyone else. The staff from last night was also super sweet and informed me of my options for the next steps, did not rush me to make any decisions. The lady who took my X-rays was hilarious, I forget her name, but she was amazing. It was pretty pricey but it is an emergency place so to be expected. Very thankful they are open on weekends, I was not going to able to hold off till Monday.

Fantastic experience: Front desk lady was so sweet and wearing the best hoodie ever! dr chen was kind and quiet but did amazing work. i don’t remember the lady’s name who did most of my work but she had red hair and was hilarious. she was so kind and kind and assuring and helpful and just overall amazing. very quick, and able to understand what im saying while they’re working in my mouth lol. the other lady in the evening was very kind as well. great people.

Fantastic experience: I was able to be seen immediately after breaking my tooth badly and the team assisted me right away. Jensen was incredibly kind and caring, helping me stay calm throughout the process. Everything was explained clearly step by step and they even set me up with a payment plan in minutes making things much less stressful. I was especially grateful that I could receive treatment right away since my Monday–Friday work schedule makes it so difficult to get appointments. Fantastic experience: I brought my wife in due to severe mouth pain. She was able to be seen in less than an hour from when I called. It turns out she needed a wisdom tooth extracted. The doctor and staff were very helpful to explain the procedure, the post-op instructions, the insurance coverage, and the cost of services. I hope we won't need any further emergency dental work done, but I appreciate that this office is an option.

Negative experience: Do not go to this place unless they take your insurance. You have to pay for every thing first before they will do any thing. And make sure that you don't just go by the doctor's name. And the insurance company about the TIN number because it is different there then the other dentist office's that this doctor works out of. And you will not be reimbursed for the services you received.

Fantastic experience: Emergency dental was able to see my daughter right away. She had a cracked tooth. They got her in with no problem did an x-ray and removed it super quick. Fantastic experience: This was my first dental experience since I was a kid and I was terrified. First of all, Mel is incredible and she lays it all out for you and even was cool w/ my stupid jokes I was making since I was nervous. Dr. Sloan is laid back, gentle, and I had a bunch of stuff done all at once and I swear I didn't feel a thing. He knows what he's doing and he seems to genuinely give a shit, which is rare these days. 10/10 I'll never go to another dental clinic.

We were quoted $3,500 and told they’d ‘never had someone who couldn’t pay.’ No antibiotic was offered, despite clear symptoms. This wasn’t just financially inaccessible—it was medically negligent. Negative experience: Im giving 2 stars bc of the cost and office manager. I was supposed to have a procedure with an endodontist, but I was in too much pain to wait a few more days, so I had to find something that was open on the weekends. I was a little hesitant coming here because of not sure if they would be able to do the root canal. The dental assistant was probably the most friendly and honest person I encountered there. My dentist did reassure me that they actually did a really good job. My problem is with the office manager. I think she is full of BS and she basically told me that insurance is pointless to have. They charged me $2000 to have my procedure done. And I understand that it's an emergency place, so it's kind of like we will charge you more as if this isn't urgent care or an emergency department VS your regular dental office. But I just got an estimate of what it would have been done at the endodontics I would have gone to, I would only paid $500. This places charged 300% more than a regular dental/ specialist. The office manager basically said they were going to take care of everything there from the root canal to crown placement. I denied getting a crown down there (who know what that would have cost) because I'm just going to my regular dentist. I think she's just trying to make the company money and doesn't really care about the people that walk in. And I don't really know if she actually ran my insurance, bc I can't imagine it costing $1500 more than a specialist. The dental assistant and the dentist was good. But they are spread thin. So something can take a couple hours to do and there's only one dentist there about at a time.

All treatment plans and associated costs are reviewed and signed by patients before moving forward, and no work is completed without that approval.
We understand it can be frustrating to compare pricing with other providers, but as an emergency practice open evenings and weekends, our fees may differ from a specialist’s office. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to make sure patients feel fully informed and supported in their care decisions.

Fantastic experience: My husband woke up with pain on a Sunday and the pain worsened over the course of the day. Being a Sunday and all dental offices being closed, we had no option but to visit the emergency dental clinic. We had the best experience from the time we were checked in by Sydni at the front desk to the expertise of the Dr. and staff performing the procedures. A complicated, specialized procedure needed to be performed that would have taken over a month to get completed if my husband would have waited and made an appointment with his dentist then made another appointment with the specialist. Everything he needed was completed at this office. The staff was understanding and knowledgeable. Sydni went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She also thoroughly explained the procedures and was super knowledgeable about insurance and follow up protocol. Thank you to all at the Emergency Dental Clinic for such impressive care. We are so grateful the clinic was available during this time of need !

Positive experience: I went to get my widsom tooth removed. They were extremely professional and helpful. I did felt they were slightly pushy in getting me to accept the loan. However they were professional otherwise. They didnt act like I was being hyperbolic when I said I felt pain and explained that some of what I thought was pain was just the pressure of my tooth being removed. Also, once again all 4 widsom teeth was removed yet I didnt get dry socket in any of them.
