Positive experience: Extremely competent staff, but only had a brief visit with one of the dentists Still very positive reaction. Best cleaning I ve had, with excellent feedback from tech. I'll never look forward to a dental appointment, but not dreading the next visit.

Fantastic experience: My first visit with Dr Ham and it was a wonderful experience. I had to have a permanent filling placed on a root canal that was done one week ago. The office is modern and clean. The staff and dental assistant were very professional, friendly and helpful. I had a 1:00PM appointment and they were right on time. I went to see Dr Ham on a recommendation from a friend since I’m new to the area. I would highly recommend Oro Valley Dental and plan on using Dr Ham for my general dentistry exams.

Fantastic experience: Two fillings for past root canals were done by Dr Ham today. Dr Ham provided important information about a possible bridge.and/or permanent tooth I will be needed. Fantastic experience: Great experience here. Dental tech and dentists were both excellent. I don't have insurance but they offer a reasonable yearly "membership" that covers 2 cleanings + Xrays and then a discount if you need additional work. Location is close and easy to get in and out of.

Fantastic experience: A professional and efficient operation that is also comfortable and fun. It’s very hard to find a great dental team but OVDG delivers. They don’t push product or procedures on you and have a membership plan that is actually inexpensive when you add up all the benefits. Can’t say enough great things about the team. This is an easy 5-star.

Fantastic experience: I loved my former dentist but the out of pocket expenses were becoming too much since he was not in my insurance network. I needed a crown so my insurance advocate gave me this recommendation. It was less than 5 mi. from home, and exceeded all my expectations. They were very kind and friendly in the reception area. And the assistant staff were efficient in getting me ready for Dr. Ham to determine the treatment. He said he would have time to fit me in immediately with a temporary crown. He made it as comfortable as was possible for me as the crown was located next to my wisdom tooth, so having that procedure is not by nature pleasant. The temporary cap is lovely, and very comfortable in my mouth. A payment of half was required the first visit. Humana pays 70% this year, so it was costly, but less than half of what my last dentist quoted me, and the best part was it was a topnotch service. Highly recommend!!!

But as soon as I arrived and stepped into their light-filled beautiful office spaces, sat in one of the most comfortable waiting room chairs I have ever sat in , and was greeted by smiling , happy , and welcoming staff , I felt relaxed ! From the front desk staff, to my marvelous X-ray tech , to the best ever dental hygienist (Billie) to my new dentist, Dr. Thome, , I felt like I mattered to them as a patient , and felt certain I was in the most capable hands of people with the highest level of expertise. I am 71 years old , have travelled widely , and have seen a lot of dentists & dental practices in my time - and the Oro Valley Dental Group is perhaps the very best !

Fantastic experience: All of the people I saw- Dr Lacey, Sheila, and Melinda at Oro Valley Dental were very kind. My special appointment was as a new patient and the cleaning and X-Rays were only $99. They all were very patient and thorough. They showed me a picture of an issue and explained things in detail. I am needing a replacement crown and will update if there is any issue. At this point, I am very pleased and impressed with everyone I interacted with in this practice! They make seeing the dentist much more pleasant!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time seeing them since I switched and I’m so happy to be there now! The place was super clean and organized. The staff were all very nice and really accommodating with any concerns. My dentist, Dr. Thome was very knowledgeable and helped me understand what needed to be addressed with my dental health. Billy was very patient while cleaning my teeth and explained clearly what was going on. I’m so glad I made the switch, it was definitely worth it! They don’t rush you they take their time to talk to you and they’re very thorough in how they care for their patients. I love them!

Tomasa is an excellent Hygenist takes time to thoroughly clean my teeth & take X-rays & makes it relaxing, No stress. Dr Lacy is friendly & low stress too, a detailed pro w keen eye to spot possible problems b4 they get too big. He’s got sense of humor & uses current ai technology to double chk if there’s cavities in between teeth that show up in in x rays. A+ Quality, friendly, professional & efficient.

Fantastic experience: My wife came here last year and highly recommended the group. What a great experience! They employ all the latest technologies to make your experience easy and efficient. The x-ray devices were amazing, almost as amazing as Shelia, the x-ray technician. My recent experiences at other dental offices haven't been great. Actually, they've been a bit annoying. According to them, my mouth is a tartar producing juggernaut, and cleaning my teeth was difficult. My hygienist, Melinda, made no such comments. She did mention that the cleaning tools she had were not having any problem removing the tartar. Melinda also did a tooth by tooth evaluation of my gum health, just like my periodontist performed, something none of my previous hygienists performed. The office and the office staff were bright and cheerful. It was obvious from their smiles and occasional laughter, they enjoyed working at Oro Valley Dental Group.

Fantastic experience: Called on Monday because my crown fell off on Friday. They were able to get me in on Tuesday. Dr. Avers was great! Re-attached the crown in 15 mins and it’s good as new, it was a pleasant experience.

Negative experience: I thought I found my forever dentist. Then I ended up in the hospital for 4 days. I had to get a root canal today for a tooth that recently had a crown put on. I don’t believe I received good care and my concerns definitely weren’t addressed. Please consider going somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I loved going to Oro Valley Dental Group. I cracked my previous crown I'm from California. I called and the receptionist Anna was great helping me out with my insurance situation. They got me in the next day. Lorelei was great explaining the procedure from X-rays to redoing my crown. DR Lacy was great doing my crown they did an amazing job out of a 5 star i would go with a 10 Star. This place was immaculate. I might have to move from California to Oro Valley because of this being the Best Dentist Ever. Here's a follow up I just got back from my 6 month cleaning of my teeth. Today is October 25, 2024 Janis was the Hygienist she was great she gave me numbing gel for my gums to clean my teeth. I didn't feel a thing she explained things that I didn't know about grinding and flossing. Dr Ham was great for my check up explaining everything that's going on with my teeth. He answered my questions and concerns he was excellent as well I'm definitely making this my Dentist from now on. Environment was clean and everyone was polite. Top notch here in Tucson I recommend Oro Valley Dental Group for Everyone here in Arizona even if you live in Phoenix you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: We haven’t had a Tucson dentist for many years and we feel like we’ve hit the jackpot with Oro Valley Dental Group. Every aspect of our visits has been exceptional. They really stress preventative care and both times I’ve been in, I’ve learned new dental care pointers. It’s the first experience for us where we didn’t feel pressure to have extensive additional work done. In fact, my first time I left frustrated as I had a sensitive tooth and it was recommended I let it settle when I felt I had a faulty crown. They were correct.

Fantastic experience: I've seen a lot of dentists in my long life, and I believe that Dr Lacy is the best dentist that I have ever had. He's gentle, explains procedures well, and involves you in every step of the treatment process. I used to be a big chicken, but not in his chair, and Dr Lacy makes sure you're comfortable. All the work that I've had done has been top notch, and I trust Dr Lacy's recommendations 100%. His hygienist, Tomasa is also through and gentle and advises me on methods to keep my teeth and gums as healthy as possible.

Fantastic experience: I can’t speak more highly about this dental office! The front office staff is friendly and professional. My dental hygienist, Tomasa, was gentle but thorough with my cleaning. You can tell she values building trust and a genuine connection with her patients. Even though the clinic was busy with patients, Dr. Ham spent plenty of time assessing my teeth and explaining available options for my dental needs. I could tell he wanted me to make the best decision for myself as he provided pros and cons for each potential plan without ever pressuring me to pursue one over the other. To finish off my visit, I had the pleasure of interacting with Diego as he captured images for my treatment plan. He was patient yet extremely efficient. Since moving to Tucson eight years ago, this is the fourth office I’ve established with for my dental health. This is by far the best and one that I plan on staying with for a very long time!

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first appointment at Oro Valley Dental Group (my first dental appointment in nearly 20 years). I was very impressed with how quickly they called me back, the latest and greatest dental technology, and the warm yet very thorough examination that I received. This practice was highly recommended to me and I can absolutely say that my high expectations were exceeded! This is an addendum to my original post to highlight my second visit. This appointment was for a cleaning. Jodene provided a very thorough cleaning that was painless. During the procedure, she apprised me of my oral health and tips to improve it. She imparted tremendous knowledge that I could easily understand. I was extremely satisfied with my level of care once again. My third visit to the office was just as gratifying as the first two visits. I was called right on time, my exam was comprehensive and thorough, and all of my questions were answered. I’m so happy that this practice was recommended to me and to my son! Updated on 4/5/25 I was recently seen for a cleaning and examination and was again met with the utmost professionalism, courtesy, and highest quality of care. This practice is very eager to provide the best patient experience as possible. The atmosphere in the office is always light and lively. I really enjoyed my experience once again!

Fantastic experience: I don't believe I have ever seen 1000+ reviews and a perfect 5 star rating before. Once I made an appointment and visited Oro Valley Dental group I understood how this could happen. The young lady who took my call to the person who took me to the exam room, to the actual Dentist (Dr. Annalise Avers) and last but not least the person who checked me out. They were all 10 stars! Unbelievable customer service. You need to experience this level of service to believe it! THANK YOU!
