Fantastic experience: After months of fighting to get patient records from another dental group and find a new dentist with openings in a timely manner, Peninsula Dental Care helped me find a solution so I can continue care and get treatment. I could cry from relief, I now have an appointment for fillings in a month.

Positive experience: For some reason I get super anxious and have to keep calling the receptionists with questions before every appointment. They are always professional, helpful, and friendly. Dr. Pham and the hygienist are as well.

Negative experience: Super irritated. My son has been going to this dentist office for 7 years. I moved to Hampton a year ago and we continued to travel to this office. Today he had an appointment; traffic was horrible coming from Hampton, I called and advised of my expected delay and they asked would I make it in 10 mins. I responded, I'm trying. I got there in 12 minutes and they would not see my son. Super disappointed and not very consumer considerate. I wanted to express my frustration but decided it was best to just leave. It's safe to say, I will be looking for a new dentist office tomorrow!!!

Negative experience: DR Phams office needs a staff that has better bedside manner with customer service rescheduling appoints.They never call back to reschedule.They wait time for an appointment may or may not be a year from now.She doesn't clean your teeth all at one time.You have to go in to different phase of scheduling. WHY WOULD I WANT TO WALK AROUND WITH HALF OF MY TEETH CLEAN AND NOT THE OTHER HALF FOR LORD ONLY KNOWS HOW LONG.Do not go to her they are very unprofessional and rude.

Positive experience: The staff here is very friendly. During my visit, I was told that I had a few cavities that needed fillings and that I also needed a root canal. They explained that my tooth was still in good condition, so pulling it wasn’t the best option. However, I wasn’t completely sure about getting a root canal, so I decided to get a second opinion. After visiting another dentist, they also confirmed that I had cavities that needed fillings, but they advised me that I didn’t actually need a root canal. Instead, they recommended a crown since the cavity hadn’t reached my nerve yet. This made me feel a bit misled because I was initially told my tooth was too far gone to be saved. Because of this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning, but I do appreciate the kindness of the staff.

Fantastic experience: I recieved excellent care and was very pleased with Dr. Pam as well as all of the staff members. I was given complete details about what needed to be done and there was no rush with the assessment of my problem. Fantastic experience: I am someone who is extremely scared to go to the dentist, but this office really truly took their time to make sure that I felt comfortable. Everyone was extremely warm and nice. The doctor is definitely someone you want to go to if you want Good work done and you want to feel comfortable while you’re getting it done. I love that when I left out of there I was knowledgeable of all of my self-care And even when I had an emergency situation, after getting some teeth, extracted by dental surgeon and who were not able to help me , Dr. Pham and her staff truly came through for me. She will now be treating me and my entire household. I truly love this place

Positive experience: Customer service has deteriorated over the course of the last two years. Initially I thought maybe an off day, however, I’ve consistently waited 20-30 mins after my appointment time to be called to the back for the last year. Additionally, notice to change in care is not properly communicated. My night guard was lost in mail at no fault to theirs but it was not communicated to me so when I was called back, fully expecting a fit for my guard, I was rescanned. Very disappointing in customer service and not the same experience I had 2022-2023 at this practice. Additionally I had to ask front desk staff about a small bill /invoice I received which I found odd but did ask about it after the fact and paid. The dental care itself is good but if you’re expecting customer service to be great, look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pham is the best!! I called at 7:30 this morning because I had accidentally pulled out a filling while flossing and she was able to get me in right away. In addition, she was able to fix the tooth not just do a limited exam. On an added personal note, she is always so welcoming to me and the fact that I usually have to bring my children with me. The staff loves them and makes the experience enjoyable. I have significant Dental fear after having quite a bit of work done, and I am very much at ease with Dr. Pham.

Fantastic experience: Even though I was a new patient, they were able to squeeze me in with a cancellation at the same time that I called. The experience I had was absolutely wonderful. My hygienist was top notch and so was Dr. Pham. Front desk staff was also more than accommodating. Despite it being a small building and having a very small parking lot, I felt like this was my best dental experience ever. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I had to call 5 other dentist offices before I stumbled upon these guys. They were the only ones to ask, do you have an emergency? As a new patient, I know it's hard to schedule an appointment with dentists. It's just how it is, and I get that, but Penisula Dental Care went out of there way to fix me in as soon as possible. I get to my appointment 15 mins early like they said to do, and I was welcomed in with cheery hellos. The front office was very patient with me as they explained how they do things there, which I appreciated at 7 o clock in the morning. My hygienists (I had two of em) were very nice, very thorough and great conversationalists. They had all the answers to my many questions and gave me very easy simple solutions that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg to get done. They were ready with a referral to get my wisdom teeth out. And Dr. Pham, while blunt, I appreciated the frankness of my situation . They were very methodical in how they treated each of my teeth. Like I know it's their whole job, but like it felt like each tooth got it's own time and attention, which felt different from previous dentists that I've had. Overall 10/10 would recommend, I felt well looked after. Will definitely make this my new dentist home .

Negative experience: My family is brand new to Virginia, and the Peninsula are. I just called because my spouse has a dental emergency and is in great pain. If rude, unprofessional, lack of compassion, and unconcerned were a person, all of the above and more describe the woman who just answered my call. I will never understand cruelty without cause or being unkind and dismissive to people in vulnerable situations and crises. I am sincerely appalled at he lack of compassion in so many calls for help I made today. But the experience of this woman's indignitation was off the chart. May the gift of the experience you gave to me be returned 100 fold. ( To The Owner) Google sent me your reply. I just saw your response and can't directly respond to you. So here is what I can do.. 1. I understand your need to publicly try to clean up from my review. I literally get thousands of hits from just one review. I do not do reviews for money or compensation. I don't even write reviews every time I have a bad experience. Reputation is EVERYTHING, AND THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION IS MERCILESS. 2. I hung up on no one. The fact that you referred to my spouse as a male further more let's me know that you knew nothing of the situation before you made your comment or Google response. 3. Lastly, the person who took the call not only asked for my spouse's insurance information but after I gave it, very poignantly and rudely said, "We don't do emergency visits." And she hung up. I just experienced 3 deaths in my family over the past 2 weeks. I assure you I have no time to waste. And the fact is I'm tired of people saying and doing whatever they want and treating me and others like me, as though we are expendable human garbage without accountability. These reviews are people's bread and butter. And had I just been treated with respect and dignity, I would NOT have found it VERY NECESSARY TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. ACCOUNTABILITY AND PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY MATTER. So I hope the next time someone calls with an emergency, they are given the respect they deserve and human decency in conversation, that I never received.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but great things to say about everyone there! They are all friendly, remember your name and do whatever they can to help you. They are all about the patients in this clinic. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Positive experience: Saw Dr. Pham 5+ years ago and she along with her assistant Ashley were incredible. If I were leaving a review based on that experience alone, I would give 5 stars. Called today and the receptionist answered. For every question I asked, she replied with another question instead of just answering my question. For example, I asked, "What kind of insurances does this practice accept", and she responded, "Well, what kind of insurance do you have?". When I mentioned my insurance, she replied, "yeah, we don't accept that insurance". To which I replied, "Can you tell me what kind of insurances the practice accepts?" The point of the call was to find out what kind of insurances the practice accepted and their policy on new patients. The conversation was brief, off-putting and she didn't seem interested in being of assistance or acquiring new patients for the practice. I am truly disappointed and will be looking else where.

Fantastic experience: This is my fourth appointment with Dr. Pham and her staff, first review. I will say they are an amazing team and are slowly helping me with my dental journey. They've explained everything and have consistently followed through every time, fears of Dr. Orin Scrivello from Little Shop of Horrors is slowly drifting away. If the Peninsula crew busts out in song next visit, I'm leaving, though.

Fantastic experience: My very first visit at this office, I must say I was very impressed. When I pulled up I noticed you have to call before walking in. I walked in I was impressed with how I was the only patient in the waiting area. With Covid going on I appreciated that. They also had their air purifiers blowing. The two ladies at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. It was nice to finally put faces to the voices that I had previously had conversations with on the phone. The office was very clean and quiet. I was very nervous in the beginning but as soon as I got to the back and was greeted by the hygienist(I forgot her name) all of my nervousness went away. She was very sweet and explained everything she was going to do. From the time that she took my FMX(x-rays)to her perio charting, to then her cleaning my teeth, I felt so relaxed and I felt no pain. She was so gentle. I actually closed my eyes a few times. Dr. Pham came in to examine me and I liked her right from the beginning. She was right to the point, didn’t have me waiting a long time at all, and was so sweet. I’m already scheduled for my next two appointments and I’m actually excited. I never thought I’d say that. I told my husband and three kids that they are going to love Dr. Pham and her staff. I know I do.❤️

Fantastic experience: Oh my gosh where do I begin~ When our insurance changed five years ago, we were sad that we had to change to a different dentist. Nobody has been able to care for us as professionally and as kindly. As Dr. Pham and her Staff. We were so thankful to learn recently that our insurance had changed yet again, and we were now able to be back with Peninsula Dental Care! Ashamedly … we have strayed-away over the years From getting the dental care we needed due to anxiety But now, under the care of Dr. Pham we have had a rigorous two days of badly needed dental care. They have made us feel so comfortable , it has not been difficult at all. We live 45 minutes away as well, but it is so worth the drive! Blessings and many Thanks to Dr. Pham and her staff!!!

Fantastic experience: I have never had a more positive experience. I’ve never been very good with the Novocain process. Usually it hurts pretty bad no matter who administers it. When I tell you I felt nothing during all of it, I’m dead serious. Dr. Pham is gentle and emotionally empathetic. I won’t see anyone else now.

Negative experience: Dr Pham is aweful!!! N very impersonal!! She lies and only cares about money!! I truly miss Dr Becker❤️..he cared about his patients and had Integrity!! She has none and doesn’t explain anything!! I’ve encountered her twice!! And both times..the same arrogance and lake of concern for her patient!! The sad part is the fact that I’m a medical professional as well!! N I would Never treat a patient as she has treated me!! I wouldn’t recommend my dog to her!! She lacks compassion! I don’t think she knows what that is!! If I had to take a educated guess…I definitely think she’s a Racist..n has no bedside manner!! She blew air n a broken tooth I had..after she lied about my last visit!..then said I needed a root canal without even looking into my mouth!! Don’t trust her!! She’s only concerned with money and she’s a racist!!…

Fantastic experience: The receptionist here was the sweetest woman, wish I had gotten her name and the nurse/hygienist, not exactly sure how to refer to her, I wish I knew her name as well. She was so patient and kind to me. And Dr. Pham seemed like she was very good at her job.

Fantastic experience: First appt with Dr Pham was excellent! She was very thorough, her staff was personable/friendly and her hygienist was detailed with my cleaning, yet gentle. One of the best dental visits I’ve ever experienced!

Fantastic experience: From the front to the back, they are all so polite and personable. They recall previous conversations and ask you how its going. You're treated like a human, not a paycheck. I love that they text. Not just to confirm appointments. Dental questions, appointment questions, etc.... and if you do call, you do not feel like a bother, they are all so sweet and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pham and staff are very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I thought I had a cavity and was expecting work to be done. However, I didn’t and she could have easily said I did and do work that I didn’t need. I felt very calm, despite the fact that I hate going to the dentist. I give them two thumbs up!

Fantastic experience: Very pleased. From the dentist herself to every staff member I came in contact with I was very pleased. The hygienist was making me feel so comfortable and she was full of jokes and laughter. Then the dentis came in and had me laughing so much I could barely keep my mouth open. The fact that they squeezed me in for a last minute appointment due to my severe toothache let me know they really care! I have a new dentist now!

Fantastic experience: Dr Phans dental assistant is one of the most professional, and nicest assistant I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Dr Phan is kind, caring and really good at her profession too! Great team all the way around to include front desk staff too
