Fantastic experience: I have had great experiences each visit that I have been. The dental hygienists are amazing in making you feel so comfortable and Dr. Mitchell is amazing on what he does. I am very pleased with their services all the way around.

Fantastic experience: They were able to get me in and out in 30 minutes (routine teeth cleaning).

Negative experience: I feel like these people tried to kill me literally, the “doctor” was fresh out of college, and I go in for an infected tooth where I can literally push stuff out of my infection. The doctor wanted to pull it BEFORE giving me antibiotics, she says “well if we pull it you won’t have to worry about the antibiotics because the cause of the infection will be gone.” Just a quick google search (yes I am aware googling medical advice can get tricky, but I knew this without having to double check) will tell you if you pull a tooth while it is infected you have a chance of getting blood poisoning. I left and called to ask if she would PLEASE prescribe me a round of antibiotics, she tells me she can’t because she is too new and doesn’t have her prescription codes but got another doctor to write some for me. Well needless to say it didn’t work, I still have a VERY BAD infection and I’m terrified it’s going to get to my heart but I’m also terrified of going to another dentist location due to my experience here.. Also on top of everything else I almost forgot that they “couldn’t find my name insurance” only to come in the room after I go back to tell me that I have “Kansas City Life Insurance” I told them no that’s not my insurance and she insisted it was so I thought maybe my job replaced it and thought nothing else until I received a letter in the mail stating that there was a charge on their account for my name and stated I certainly did NOT have Kansas City Life Insurance and luckily waved the charge.

Fantastic experience: My Mother had two teeth pulled with her Oral Surgeon, and her follow up was with Dr. Johnson. She was thorough with the partial adjustment, painstakingly careful to avoid pain, and all around fantastic with my Mom! Which I appreciated greatly! Chelly was the Hygienist/Assistant/Specialist that was wonderful and, oh so, patient with my Mother. My Mom had so many questions and one by one, Chelly answered with kindness and understanding. Having just had 2 teeth pulled, my Mom actually smiled even though she was in pain. Unbelievable! Chelly is incredible as well as knowledgeable! And to echo other reviews, this Dental office is warm and welcoming to everyone the minute they step through the door. Thank you for your compassion and care to all of your patients. And answer any and every single question you have, no matter how random it may be they! they are always smiling and always willing to call and get you in as soon as possible and they really try to save you money and time... Negative experience: Dental exam okay. Main issue very very poor handicap access. No automatic door opener, very steep ramp. Question if it's up to code. Mentioned to the girl at the desk, she ignored me. Until you have to use the handicap features at an office, you'll never know. Mentioned this to the dentist a few months ago and her comment was I don't use the front door, I didn't know. Something so easy to fix. Very sad the office generates enough money. Not sure why they can't fix it. The handicap person ends up having to struggle more. The dentist and staff need to start paying attention to the patients needs.

Negative experience: I was in extreme pain. The left side of my face is swollen and it hurts to swallow. They worked me in but were too busy to call in a prescription. The individual x-rays and Panoramic x-rays benefited them. I felt like all they cared about was the money not making sure I received the medication I needed to relieve the pain. Even after calling back and pleading for them to send in my medication, they showed no concern. I will never go to them again nor will I recommend them to anyone. The sorriest service I have ever received!

I just visited today and had another outstanding experience with Dr Mitchell and assistant Lizzy Smith the two of them make the best team and really make you feel like family. Never felt a bit of pain and that means a lot when you’re having a root canal surgery with crown all the same day, and the crown fit perfectly the first time with no adjustments, that doesn’t happen.... I would refer over and over. Don’t ever let them go!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been using this dentistry practice for at least 16-20 years when it was originally Dr. Moore's practice. The first thing I expect from my dentist and/or the dental hygienist is that they will do everything possible to minimize any pain or discomfort. While my visits have primarily been routine cleanings every 6 months and one filling, this practice meets my primary requirement of practicing painless dentistry or as close as one can reasonably expect if subject to plaque and tartar build up. Second, they remind you 2-3 days prior to your appointment in case you need to reschedule due to work or other requirements. Every hygienist I ever had was excellent, though I must confess that Connie is my favorite and has been doing my cleanings for more than 10 years. She will do a great job and has a super personality. And if you are new to their practice and have a different hygienist or your regular hygienist is out for some reason, you will likely find that any of the hygienists are sensitive about minimizing your discomfort. And unless it's a last minute exception due to sudden illness or unforeseen emergency, they will let you know if your regular hygienist cannot keep the appointment. The transition to Riccobene and Associates has been seamless with some technological upgrades, but the service and reception you receive from all staff is still the same family-friendly practice that it was previously. When my dental insurance was recently rejected, they asked me to check with my insurance company, but refused to have me pre-pay the bill or any co-pay. Somehow, my insurance company had an incorrect birth date in their records showing I was not insured. I had requested that Riccobene and Associates contact me when the insurance company resolved the problem, which they promptly did without my having to call back. Cheers for the EXCELLENT service and Thank You, Connie for keeping my teeth in such great shape, for minimizing my discomfort despite my tendency to tense up, and for being the wonderful person you are.

Fantastic experience: I had a issue with a crown. The ladies up front worked me in with Dr Iskander. She thoroughly checked me, and cemented it back on temporarily. She worked me in for the next morning to get the crown remade. Though it was a difficult fix, the Riccobene Team came through for me. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I was referred to Riccobene by a family member. My first visit was good experience so I referred my husband to them. But since then things has changed. I was recommended to do a deep cleaning in which I agreed not knowing how I would feel afterwards. I was told that I would have to come for two cleaning but after getting the first part done, my mouth and face was swollen for a month and I was in serious pain during that month. I have had a root canal that did not hurt as bad as a deep cleaning. When I call to make an appointment for just a regular cleaning, it was then they told me they would not be able to do just a regular cleaning for me, that I had to do the deep cleaning or I would have to find another dentist. I opt to do the latter, with all of the pain I went through the first time, I refuse to do it again. What is so disappointing with the professionals at Riccobene in Goldsboro, this information was not given to me before nor at the time of my cleaning. Their lack of communication is very terrible and I would not recommend no one to go them without getting all of the information up front before any service is done. Because my insurance only cover half of the service and they now refuse to do a regular cleaning, they look like they are only out for money. I truly hate I allow them to do to the cleaning. Now I am in search of a honest and kind dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had a horrible toothache and it was my first time seeing them and welcome me with open arms. They went out their way to squeeze me in and I am so grateful. Being someone who is afraid of dentist they made me feel so comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Had my first visit recently. Staff was very kind and welcoming. I have severe anxiety and I informed them of that and they were very respectful of that. Georgia took great care of me and made me feel very welcome and safe. I’m happy I found them as I just moved here, this place is great.

Fantastic experience: I've spent 55 years HATING the dreaded dentist...gagging, pain, name it. But Riccobene is a whole new experience! Just checkup and cleaning so far but what a breath of fresh air. Julia ROCKS...the ultimate embodiment of stone cold professional wrapped in warmth and compassion. Kudos!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I walked in so that I can become a new patient and the ladies at the front desk were amazing! Customer Service at its best! I was nervous bc I may need a tooth extraction and Danny assured me that I’m in good hands! Believe it or not I needed that assurance and now I’m ready to rock and roll!! Thanks again ladies!!

Fantastic experience: The best dentist in Goldsboro hands down!!!! Carla is so sweet and kind and does an amazing job with deep cleaning. My dentist, I keep forgetting her name but she’s a woman and she’s amazing too. I just love they’re hospitality. We have conversations as if we knew each other for decades lol. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: They are very thorough, friendly and they make you feel very comfortable. It's a good dentistry to attend. I've been with them sense I moved here from Greenville 8yrs ago and even though I'm moving back in the near future, I will keep them for a while until I find someone else whom makes me feel just as at home as Riccobene does so if I have to drive it'll be worth it and they are familiar with me and my mouth .

Fantastic experience: My dad visited from Georgia, where the dentist there did a number on his dental work and did not listen to or consider his concerns. They fabricated dentures that never stayed in his mouth even with the dental adhesives. As he got here he was mentioning the issues he’s been dealing with and how his quality of life has tanked due to the pain and frustration. So I decided to inquire about insurance and found out that Riccobene & Associates are in the provider network, soon after I contacted the front desk (Brooke, you’re amazing), asked about my dad being seen and that he would only be here for a week, what are the chances of him being seen. For a new patient and on such short notice, highly impossible, but Miss Brooke mentioned that they will place him on the cancellation list and let me know if there would be any chance at all. Sure enough, two days later I got the call that there was a cancellation and they were able to get my dad in for the next morning. As we got in, per usual, it was a pleasant experience all the way through to check out. Dr. Johnson and (will update with Dental Hygienist’s name) listened and executed perfectly to the concerns that my dad had and within an hour provided the relief my dad needed. So much so that my mom is willing to travel back to NC just to have her dental work done. Needless to say that my folks are very thankful for the visit here and are planning to relocate here. No better service or care than the wonderful staff at the Riccobene & Associates Family Dentistry. You all rock! Truly, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Julia is the best hygienist. She takes the time to explain things, does an excellent job, always has a smile, and goes the extra mile! Danny at the front desk is fantastic and always helpful. The Goldsboro location houses a wonderful group of professional. They are efficient, enjoyable, and truly care about their patients. From the moment we walk in their door and are greeted with smiling receptionist to the moment we leave, we are treated with care. The office respects my time and is consistently on time.
