Fantastic experience: 10-02-2025 I called this morning to ask the Dental coordinator, "is it possible for me to come in and have a damaged/broken temporary tooth replaced. Dental coordinator came on the phone, acknowledged my concern, and invite me to come in right away. When I arrived, Darme (Dental assistant) gave me timely excellent service simply replacing the damaged/broken temporary tooth and allowed me to leave without taking my entire morning. The person cleaning my teeth was gentle, kind and communicated well so I knew what he was doing, and what he needed from me so he could reach the teeth he was working on at the time. Negative experience: Seems all of a sudden, pre-authorization is BS. Several monthsi get “oh by the way” u owe is 900.00 Total BS the billing is very suspect, how is the patient to verify what’s actually correct. Have had problems with sinus since implants. Now need an ENT. .

Fantastic experience: I started going to this Konikoff location over 15 years ago, when working down the street. Even though I no longer work near there, I decided to stay with this office. It has more of a small dental office feel than even other Konikoff locations. The doctors and Hygenists are great.

Positive experience: Me and my husband had a very bad experience from our previous dentist that’s why it’s hard for me to trust again that even led me not to visit dental office for a year because of the fear of going through the same thing again. But so far, with my recent 2 visits with Konikoff it’s been well and hopefully will not change. Dr. Garcia is my Dentist. I like how she does her work.

Positive experience: Staff are great. My hygienist has gentle hands when cleaning my teeth. My only concern is that the waiting area is not appealing due to the neglected fish aquarium. It’s so dirty that I can tell it hasn’t been cleaned for weeks or maybe months. Any medical facility should be immaculately clean all throughout to send a message to the guests that hygiene and cleanliness is a priority.

The extraction I had was outstanding the doctor and the assistant worked diligently to get my teeth pulled. Assistant was nice and very helpful did a good job until her doctor came. Got all of my situations resolve concerning my teeth.

Negative experience: The overall practice is truly amazing — the providers are knowledgeable, compassionate, and clearly dedicated to the well-being of their clients. However, the experience is unfortunately tainted by the person who answers the phone. My interactions with her have been consistently disappointing. She comes across as rude, unprofessional, and at times unethical in how she handles conversations. Her communication style is off-putting and does not reflect the quality of care the rest of the practice delivers. I strongly encourage leadership to address this, as front desk staff are often the first impression

Positive experience: The dentist I had zero issues with. Very professional. However, this is my 3rd visit in 4 months. I had to redo my welcome packet a second time. I filled all of the information out on my first visit, my second visit I was told everything was on my profile, but today I have to fill it all out again because now I am told nobody scanned the paperwork in and there is no record. So which is it, and where did the first packet with my personal information go?

Negative experience: Konikoff used to be amazing. However, nowadays, good luck making an appointment without it taking months, being put on hold for 15 minutes or more just for them to say the earliest available appointment is a couple months from now, or taking your kid for a cleaning/exam…. And saying you don’t want fluoride treatment/sealant for her teeth then the appointment lasting five minutes because they are pissed at you for not wanting fluoride. They did a partial cleaning then did nothing else. Very disappointed with them nowadays

Negative experience: An update to this review: It has heen over 3 years since my visit to Konikoff dentistry and I am STILL terrified to see any dentist. **************Thank you for nothing. I had a first time appointment at this office for a tooth cleaning, the hygienist did everything but clean my teeth. Spent way too much time taking x-rays, followed by stabbing my gums and inflicting supreme pain. Only to send me on my way telling me to call a periodontist. I will not and do not recommend this dental facility. I will never go back. They expect someone whom has had their teeth for over 50 years to have the same teeth as a 22yr old. My point is I asked for my teeth to be cleaned and the service was not provided. But I am sure that they will charge my insurance company for a cleaning. It has been a year since this visit and I have not been able to get myself to ANY dentist because of the negative experience at this office. Update: it's been 2 years and I am still traumatized by my visit to this office. Cannot step foot in any dental office. Thanks Konikoff.

Fantastic experience: The only reason this is a 5 star review is because of Breann at the Peds office. She was SO polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. She helped me navigate the issues I had with being billed improperly. You never have good customer service anymore, and she more than delivered. I have been going to konikoff for 15+ years and recently I have had many issues. My biggest is being billed improperly, as well as them not having availability for 2 cleanings a year. I had a cleaning in June, and the next one should have been in December, but they don't have availability until late March of next year. If a dentist cannot see you 2x in a year they need to fix things.

Negative experience: June 2025 - Attached image of letter from facility. March 2025 - Refund still not received. Will update if this changes. As a result of the mental abuse I have had to stop my pursuit of better dental health not offered by the VA. Just going to a dentist has become an emotional trigger to my PTSD. My attempt to receive better care by paying myself rather than tax payers through the VA failed. ………. I’m a 76 year old, 32 yr DOD Retiree, Author, a 100% Disabled Combat Vet, American Indian Tribal Member and Ivy League College Alum. Over 18 months ago I decided to return to regular dental treatment after being a high risk Pandemic patient. A front teeth was loose and falling. I was elated to finally be continuing my oral health. But from the moment I arrived at the Battlefield office not a single person smiled or even said anything to make me comfortable and welcome me as a new patient. It was embarrassing and humiliating. It would get worse. There was no cleaning or attention paid to the errant tooth. They referred me to a specialist. They never contacted me directly after that and each subsequent visit seemed to be forced on them and did not come from them contacting me. Common civility was not evident. At the Christmas 2023 appointment I was trying to keep a stiff upper lip though the tooth was now so dropped that I was publicly humiliated to have to interact with people. It had been close to a year. I was asked to pay over $1,000 (Cash was emphasized) a couple of weeks before the Christmas appointment for a procedure that I later found out was not needed. I waited 6 months to see if they would return my payment. The accompanying $20,000 (Cash) procedure was cancelled by the referred office. It had been over a year since I had started this journey. Now I had to find a new dentist. I was now humiliated to even talk to people with my dangling tooth and became a shut-in. .A couple of months ago I finally received a somewhat quasi legal note from this office stating that I needed to sign a form to receive my refund. Oddly, they had sent the note to the Executor of my estate at an address she no longer used. I don’t know why it was sent to her and not me. Why would they not have my address? Since this was a quasi legal move on their part I returned their note and requested they resend the note to me directly. I received the resend but just as confusing was a second note they sent separately. It was addressed to the person who was sending me the note and “release(?)”. Confused much? I signed the form and sent it back weeks ago along with the separate letter I received for them from them. The separate note was returned unopened because it was not addressed to me so I do not know the contents. It’s been a year now since I was charged. Still no promised refund. Jimmy Dial - Riverwalk. (The tooth was finally removed by a new dentist just several weeks ago. It took over 18 months.)
