Negative experience: UPDATE: SCAM! This business is trying to charge me an additional $132 for just the upper left side of my mouth to be cleaned! Thats a total of $332 when my insurance covers EVERYTHING! My experience at Arrowhead Family Dentistry was disturbing. From the moment I began asking why my treatment quote had increased by over $200 in just a month and why my $200 deposit hadn’t been applied, both Cindy and Claudia responded with visible irritation and condescension. Rather than assisting, they handed me a list of billing codes and expected me to sort it out myself. Even after all that, they still couldn’t explain the discrepancy. This was especially distressing as I was already managing significant anxiety from the cleaning and numbing process. When I returned to locate my treatment room, I overheard both of them, along with the front desk associate, laughing and making comments about me. It was humiliating and unprofessional, confirming exactly why so many people avoid going to the dentist. When I walked in the treatment room, the tech wanted to started on the wrong side and it wasnt until I questioned why that she then agreed with me. While the dentist and a few others were very kind, the shady business practices and rude behavior of the front staff overshadowed the positives. I was referred to this practice by my oral surgeon, and I will be sharing this experience with their office so they are aware of how poorly patients are treated during the financial process. I now have to make a fraud claim against them with my insurance and the dental board.

Negative experience: I don’t understand how this dentist office has an almost a 5 star rating. The staff charged my daughter double of what the benefits of our insurance paid which it should have been 100%. They made sure to file the claims under a dentist in their office who was out of network having my daughter to pay more then she should have. We found this out after call our insurance provider. My daughter for the first time as adult not realizing that medical professionals can lie and over charged a patient was totally in shock. They should be ashamed of taking ADVANTAGE OF HER. From now on I will have to accompany my daughter in every medical procedures that she needs. Watch out they will make sure clients will pay for more than they should. Wow.

Fantastic experience: I just moved to AZ and suddenly had extreme pain in one molar. They were able to provide same day emergency evaluation and treatment. Dr. E correctly diagnosed the problem and obtained a referral to an endodontist that same day. I am no longer in pain and have scheduled follow up care for next week. The dental practice exudes care, compassion, and competence. I’m so very grateful to find my new dental practice, knowing I’m in very good hands.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely an excellent experience as a new patient. After my dentist and hygienist both retired, I didn't know for sure who to go to. My insurance covered Arrowhead Family Dentistry, so I made an appointment. Hygienist Brittany did a very thorough job cleaning my teeth. Removed coffee and tea stains that I had. She took time and did a great job. Dr. Elizabeth is outstanding in her bedside manner and very thorough in the check-up details. Everyone at Arrowhead Family Dental was a joy to meet. I am so glad to have found my new Dentist office!

Fantastic experience: Last year we switched to Arrowhead Family Dentistry to have our appointments be closer to our home, and it has been a great experience. My husband had a broken tooth that needed a quick response, and they were able to accommodate him very quickly, and I followed in joining for my routine care. I went for a routine cleaning and check-up yesterday, and the hygienist Katie was so friendly and kind. She greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm, you’d think we were old friends. Really enjoying our experience here so far! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I just left Arrowhead Family Dentistry.. We were each scheduled for an examination and teeth cleaning. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They patiently addressed our questions . After the hygienist completes the cleaning, a dentist comes in to check on their work and again asks if there are any questions. There was no high pressure sales to buy products. We schedule so that we can ride together. I actually felt good after going to the dentist today.

Negative experience: I wanna start by saying the staff was very sweet and kind to reassure me before I got my wisdom teeth removed, it all was smooth until the after math they did not prescribed me any tipe of pain management not even a strong ibuprofen just sent me on my way home, after I got home and the numbness was wearing off I was obviously in unbelievable pain I took my own ibuprofen bit it didn't do anything I called the office back literally crying in pain asking If they would prescribe something the lady on the phone told me just to take more ibuprofen and left it at that. I have nothing against these people but I feel like there was a better way to handle this and everyone I talked to including some nurses I know could not believe they didn't give me anything for the pain of having all 4 wisdom teeth removed.

Fantastic experience: They had great communication and were great with my care needs. I have Autism and Kirsty the Temp Hygienist was amazing talked me through every step and was very kind and respectful and very awesome care skills. If you can once she is out of school I would definitely recommend hiring her as a full time staff. Dr. Eric was awesome as well very quick but thorough in his check up. Very nice and respectful. I would give a hire rating if I could. I definitely recommend arrowhead family dentistry to anyone needing great teeth care and great care in general.

Fantastic experience: New to the area and did a ton of research to find the right place for me and my family. Arrowhead Family Dentistry is the place for us! The staff is kind, the office is beautiful and the dentists really listen to your concerns or fears and work to make you feel at ease. This is definitely the place for us!!

Positive experience: I had a good experience with Taren who filled in for my dental hygienist. She was very thorough and gentle during my 6month cleaning even though the exam room she had was a bit challenged due to xray machine not working properly. My check in and reminder for appointment was mediocre as I called first thing to confirm as I hadn’t received a friendly reminder a day or two prior. Caller advised that I had already confirmed but I never received an email reminder. Dr Elizabeth was also thorough and able to quickly address any issues that I had. Place is clean and tidy with plenty of parking.

My husband would also agree when he had his visit. DJ, Eric and Dr Larson were literally amazing. Even the girls at the front desk were so kind. After moving away from home, I searched for a new local dentist, but it quickly became clear that Arrowhead Dentistry had set the bar too high. Now, even though I live on the other side of town, I gladly make the commute because the quality of care is unmatched. Highly recommend this practice!

She has worked with me twice and both times have been an absolute pleasure. Fantastic experience: The Drs and staff at AFD are fantastic. They made an extraction and bone graft quick and actually pleasant. Special mention to Chris who even made getting numbing shots very bearable, even for a needle-phobic guy like me. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Negative experience: I've been a client here for well over 20 years. The original owners were a married couple and it was a small family run business. They retired and sold the practice and there was a high turn around of employees during this transition, but I decided to stick around give them a chance. Over time, I developed a great and trusting relationship with one hygienist and I always booked my cleanings with the same hygienist and I would do this every 3 months. If the hygienist noticed anything happening with my teeth, we would schedule to correct it and we caught it early. This rarely happened, so I suggested maybe I only need to come in every 4 months, since the visits were rather routine. The hygienist agreed. About a year went by and I was expecting to go my routine cleaning, as scheduled, but when I entered the building, no one was familiar to me. Not the people working behind the counter and not the hygienist who called my name. I was a bit worried that my appointment had changed and no one told me or asked me if it mattered to me. The new hygienist has no idea who I am or my history with the practice. But, I told myself it's just a cleaning, so how important is it who the hygienist is? The new (to me) hygienist is professional and polite, but is recommending an unexpected treatment before they can proceed with my regular cleaning (the reason for my visit.) This recommended work will require two separate future visits to address issues on my right side, and on my left side and on my upper arch and on my lower arch. How is it possible in the four months since my previous visit everything is now wrong on both sides and upper and lower arches of my teeth and gums? She gets the doctor to consult with me because I am in shock. The doctor is neither of the two doctors I met previously and have worked with since the new ownership. Instead, this doctor tells me she has been a doctor there for 4 1/2 years and we have never met before today. Again, she is polite and professional. But where did she come from? Why was my schedule changed? Where are the regular doctors? Where is my regular hygienist? Was my regular hygienist so incompetent that they ignored or did not notice what was happening with my teeth four months earlier on my previous visit? Or was the new hygienist taking a more aggressive treatment approach that my previous hygienist didn't think was even worth mentioning? Here is my point of view - I go to the same place I always go, expecting to see the same person I always see and expecting and hoping for results to be the same. What should have been a routine 30 minute visit with a trusted and familiar provider, instead became a 1 hour and 45 minute discussion explaining how any of this is possible and, no cleaning was ever performed! I took a half day from work to have my teeth cleaned and checked, the same as I have been doing every 4 months for the last year, and every 3 months for the last 10+ years. I got neither my teeth cleaned, nor did I get anything accomplished. It was like I was stuck in an episode of the Twilight Zone. The whole experience was surreal. Then the company texts and emails me after every appointment (for several years since the new ownership) asking me to leave a review for them here on Google. I don't mind that they asked, but asking this often and sending two messages simultaneously (one text and one email) after every single appointment seems a bit.... thirsty? So, I clicked the link they asked me to click to leave the review they keep asking me to write. This doesn't feel like a family practice any more. This experience was much colder and corporate. I found the entire experience unsettling, unpleasant and unlike any of my countless previous visits. As a result of this, I have no idea which hygienist is right, whether or not I actually require a treatment that was never "needed" before, and my confidence with this company is entirely shattered. Sadly, based on the response to this review, it appears we no longer share the same values and it's time to part ways.

Fantastic experience: I came to this office because I was in search of a family dentist- not a corporation. It’s important to me to have the same hygienist and dentist each time I’m seen. This is what you‘ll find at Arrowhead Family Dentistry. They are professional and kind and the office is always clean and friendly. My experience every visit is exactly why I chose this office.

On top of that, she’s so warm and great to talk to (when you don’t have the tools in your mouth haha). I highly recommend this practice!

Claudia is probably the best dental receptionist on the planet (sorry Staci), Katie is a the best hygienist I’ve seen in my life, and Dr. Kaur is methodically perfect with her work. I used to hate the dentist. These guys really helped me through a tough time in my life. And now I can smile again! Thanks to some awesome teamwork. I truly owe them everything I could ever offer for getting me back to normal.

Fantastic experience: First time visit to this dentist and was delightfully surprised and perhaps a little taken aback. Firstly, the office is comfortable, super nice and designed well. Next, the personnel at the front office were welcoming, helpful and genuinely appeared to care for their visitors/patients. Was brought in by a wonderfully kind and knowledgeable hygienist (Chris) who made the visit fun and educational. They use technology available today to provide a much more comfortable experience with everything from x-rays to colored pictures of the teeth and Chris was able to walk through each providing a wealth of knowledge and fact alongside those pictures. Then the adorably fun, intelligent and well educated doctor visited and provided some additional fact with pictures along with additions for the treatment plan and some alternatives not offered prior for some of treatment. First time ever visiting a dentist that was enjoyable, educational and comfortable. I'm surprised to say I am looking forward to visiting them again! Amazing!

"Dr. K", Chris (hygenist), Claudia (office) plus an additional office person have created a warm atmosphere for the patients and have provided 1st class technology to treat the patient. The old dental technology has been transformed into the most efficient, pain free, approach to dental care.

I find the doctor is conservative in her approach as opposed to so many dentists who instantly decide everyone needs thousands of dollars of work. Fantastic experience: Arrowhead Family Dentistry was AMAZING! My husband has not had great experiences with dentist in the past. He had a dental emergency last week and Arrowhead Family Dentistry was able to see him as a new patient in 24 hours. When he came home from his appointment, he could not stop raving about Arrowhead Family Dentistry and how good his experience was. So much that our daughter is now looking to move to them as her dentist. Thank you Arrowhead Family Dentistry, for helping my husband by not only fixing his dental issue, but also convincing him that there are great dentists out there.

Negative experience: Beware of their scare tactics for urging crowns when a filling or less expensive procedure is available. Insurance reviewed claim twice and denied coverage claiming procedure was not necessary and less expensive options were available. Wife was told she weeded 2 then day of procedure oops another tooth was cracked. Now in chair with novacaine hard to say no. Said absolutely needed while the pictures didn't show anything that serious, according to other dental experts it really wasn't. They will scare you into unnecessary expensive procedures and we're out $4000 for 3 needless crowns.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Elizabeth is the best I have had lots of trouble with my teeth so I have seen my share of DDS but I feel strongly that the doctor and her staff have my best interest physically and financially in mind when taking care of me. Very happy have had 2 procedures done same level of care every time.

Chris the hygienist explained everything to me as he worked, and Dr K was very thorough and helped establish a care plan to take care of my issues that worked within my budget. Chris explained everything so well, I never felt like they were rushing me out of the office for the next visit. After the visit I made the second appointment for a crown, I'm not worried at all. Fantastic experience: I went to Arrowhead family dentistry today to have my teeth cleaned. They took me right at my appointment time and my cleaning was done before I knew it. The staff is always very polite and informative. I am always very happy with my appointments And have never had any issues. Fantastic experience: My daughter went first and she said she really liked how the person answering the phone was super nice. She appreciated how they handled her situation (she has not had good experiences with dentists as a child). When she told me about her positive experience, I was all in!!! I have been looking/researching different dentists because I don’t like my current dentist. Arrowhead Family Dentistry’s staff are super nice. Dr. K was amazing because she LISTENED to me!! Her treatment plan totally made sense to me, it wasn’t some exotic expensive plan. I must admit I enjoyed my time there and they can call me their patient and I will call them MY DENTIST!
