Fantastic experience: I followed Dr. Agliato from another practice that didn’t take my Dental coverage. She was my Dentist there and I am NOT changing. She’s the BEST! I’m also very pleased with the bill being explained to me up front, and how detailed the receptionists were. The Hygienest and the Dental Assistant who did my x rays were great. I’m really a big fan of far after today’s experience.

Fantastic experience: I am a relatively new patient at the Smilist in Smithtown. My dentist of 30 years retired and I went to the Smilist because they take my dental plan. The atmosphere in the office is friendly and happy. I am very impressed with Dr Arena! He is very kind and explains the procedures. Charlene puts me at ease. I love Jessica at the desk!! She is helpful, sweet and treats me like family!!

Fantastic experience: I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Pan. I am not a fan of the dentist and Dr. Pan’s even keel, not alarmist personality put me at ease for this whole process. I probably waiting in the waiting room longer than the length of the actual extraction. He even joked at the end that he pulled the wrong tooth, bringing some lightheartedness to a stressful situation, which I appreciated. The process was quick, easy and most importantly pain free. I appreciate Dr. Pan’s skill and expert guidance for this and highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I’ve always been nervous and afraid of ant dental procedures- wish I had found this amazing practice sooner!! Called for an appointment next day, in two hours complete root canal and temp cap done! No pain! No nervousness! Amazing dentist, Dr Jain and a wonderful Staff!!! Dr Chetnoff and Dr Pan are also amazing! Best Dental practice anywhere!

Fantastic experience: So glad Dr. Jen Agliato is back at the Smilist. She has a professional, personal and energetic approach. And her best attribute, is she cares! The whole staff, and I believe her name was Mary who assisted, made the whole experience a positive one.

Fantastic experience: I am very impressed with this office and Dr Shista ! Dr Shista was very good. I’m very impressed with his work and how he did a preparation for a crown and made the permanent crown all in one day. With the work that he had to do on my mouth after the Novacaine wore off, there was no pain. The second day after the dental work, absolutely no pain. I didn’t even know I had anything done. And although the crown that he prepared was in the back number 31 it’s beautiful. He does everything on the computer makes the crown design on the computer and within a half hour the crown is done. He inserts it and it fits perfectly. Didn’t even need an adjustment. I will continue with this doctor for my dental work and highly recommend him. And they must say that my ex who has recently passed away, is a dentist who I was with for 20 years and Dr Shista is just as good as he was ! Dr Shista is up to date on latest technology and is a nice person as well.

Fantastic experience: My best dental experience yet! I would once again like to thank Dr. Arena for how extremely caring and thorough he was, Dr. Chernoff for her OUTSTANDING patient advocacy (so grateful for her going ABOVE AND BEYOND to relieve me of my tooth pain when it seemed like id have to wait longer), and his AMAZING assistant Sharlene who just wow… the most nurturing person ever!! The moment she held my hand to help me through the process, I felt a weight get lifted off my shoulders and it was all okay. Ive never gotten a tooth extracted before so of course I was quite nervous and it wasn't an easy extraction. But throughout the whole process this team made sure to continuously check in on me, let me know how great I was doing, how proud they were, and threw in a few jokes so i could leave with a smile on my face!! It definitely wont be my last visit and I recommend this office if you want a great dental experience!!

Fantastic experience: Charlene and Dr arena helped me so much. they are super kind , gentle and helpful . I was in a lot of pain and they fixed that instantly . I just went there for a second opinion and ended up switching dentists altogether because I loved the job they did so much . I will recommend my family and friends here because of them . Ty so much

Positive experience: I had a very good experience at Smile Dental Office. Dr. Pan was excellent, and the wisdom tooth extraction was handled quickly and smoothly. The procedure itself went very well, and I felt comfortable throughout. My only suggestion for improvement would be regarding the post-care communication. I received written aftercare instructions, which were helpful, but I did have a few questions that I was unable to ask as Dr. Pan left immediately after the procedure. A few extra moments for patient questions would have been greatly appreciated. Overall, I am very satisfied with the care I received. I would recommend this office to my friends and family, And will be back for my other wisdom teeth removals.

Fantastic experience: Dr. A & Mary were wonderful. I really appreciate their kindness, good humor, expert care and compassion. During the lengthy procedure, they explained everything that was happening, always asking if I was ok.

Negative experience: This practice deserves zero stars. Don’t let the positive reviews fool you- Dr. Chernoff and Dr. Gol are completely incompetent. I had to have an emergency root canal done by another practice and needed 10 days of antibiotics less than 72 hours after being seen by BOTH of these doctors.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pan did an AMAZING job on my wisdom tooth extraction. Originally, the roots of my teeth were so deep, that there was a possibility that he could hit the nerve and there would be nerve damage. I was afraid that we might have to leave a piece of my tooth in. BUT Dr. Pan changed the narrative for me and extracted my wisdom tooth entirely, leaving nothing behind. He is very skilled and reassuring. He takes his time answering any questions you may have, and is a very patient oral surgeon. He does not skip any steps in the process to ensure that your proceedure will go smoothly. He also fought for my health insurance to approve me for all four teeth. I am on the second day of my recovery process and have ZERO pain. I highly recommend going to see him. Impressive work.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chernoff is an incredible dentist that puts the patient first, and provides incredible care. She is the only dentist I will ever schedule with. She takes the time to go the extra mile for her patients. Cannot recommend her enough. My whole family goes to her now.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient of The Smilist Dentist in Smithtown. I can not begin to tell you how happy I am with them. I been seeing Dr. Anil Sishta. He is the best. I have a fear of the dentist and I was able to communicate that to him. I would jump in the seat everytime I felt pain. I would consider myself a dentists most worst nightmare patient when it came to my teeth and I stayed away from going to the dentist for approx 5 years. I knew deep down inside I couldn't let my teeth go much longer. I made an appt at The Smilist. Dr. Sishta went over my medical history in great detail, he listened and addressed my concerns. I felt comfortable with him. I could tell he showed much care and concern and even promised me a pain free experience, which I didn't think was possible. He told me what needed to be done and showed me my x-rays on a TV screen, pointing out where my problem areas were. I had my first two appointments already with him. I was given a kind of laughing gas called nitrous, I have to admit, I had my doubts about the nitrous. To my suprise, I felt no pain while Dr. Sishta drilled away and was working on me. I was his #1 priority has he would ask me along the way if I was OK. I was doing fine. I never felt any pain along the way and I was able to tolerate treatment. He promised me a pain free experience, and that's exactly what I got, with no after effects. Thank you Dr. Sishta. You are #1! You are the best! With this experience and painless visits, I will be able to keep up all future appointments without any fear.

Fantastic experience: I feared I’d never feel safe enough to go to the dentist until I went to the smilist in smithtown. After years of “care” that lacked empathy or communication my phobias and fears of the dentist went away after my first time stepping into this office. From the minute I walked in, the front desk made me feel so comfortable. These ladies are incredible at what they do, speaking to everyone with such care and kindness. The dentists made me feel in control and calm almost immediately. So much so that I almost enjoyed my root canal? When the hard conversation of finances came up, the front desk team gave me resources which resulted in me being able to save my teeth. They are quick to get you an appointment and provide transparency from start to finish. Thanks to them, I don’t think twice about scheduling an appointment anymore. I just know that I will be and that I am taken care of . ♥️

Fantastic experience: My first visit to the Smithtown office. I am hooked. Office staff is super friendly. My hygienist Samantha was super sweet and informative as to ways to improve my cleanings at home. Dr. Arena has a great way about him as well. My family has already had their cleanings here and were super happy with the hygienists they’ve had. We will be back for all our dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Went in there concerned about my unfinished root canal. They were able to fit me in. They went over everything and the dentist was very good about my dental anxiety.

Fantastic experience: dental extraction -As someone with bad anxiety, especially going to the dentist, i would recommend Dr.Pan. I went in extremely nervous and was crying before even getting any work done. I was nervous for the needle and the extraction but it was quick and painless! Dr Pan was very honest and did mention the risks that could be involved, but thankfully everything went smoothly. The assistant was very kind as well :)

Fantastic experience: I visited the Smithtown location to have a crown installed, and the entire procedure took about 2 hours from start to finish - saving me several trips. Dr. Jain and his dental assistant worked together like a well-oiled machine. I'm very happy with the results.

I feel very confident and comfortable in his expertise and hopefully the issue will be resolved in short order. Theresa who manages the office was thorough and explained what my options going forward are. Feeling very optimistic in this office and its staff.

I had x rays and a deep dental cleaning by Amanda who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything she was doing. I would highly recommend this practice to my friends and family. Fantastic experience: I had three wisdom teeth with cavities in all of them, and I was scared like hell, but Dr. Pan to the rescue!!!! The anesthesia thing was painful, but once it was done, I could not feel anything—of course. So it’s 100% recommended!!

Fantastic experience: This office is so good and they really care about their patients, from getting you an appointment right away to explaining everything as you leave. It is very appreciated. Just a well run office. The front desk is very knowledgeable and courteous. Dr Arena is so thorough and really cares about his patients and you never feel like you are just another patient. You can also tell that he is not just a really good dentist but a great guy. He tells you everything that he is going to do and what is happening at all times. His personal dental assistant is just the best. She really cares that you are happy with everything before you leave. The dental Hygienist is so through and really cares.

Negative experience: Bunch of con artists. Tried overcharging me for two fillings and ended up giving me a "free" evaluation despite having unknowingly had a full evaluation during my cleaning at the commack location. An evaluation they felt needed to be done less than 3 weeks after my cleaning/evaluation at Commack. Now I can't get an evaluation done for the rest of the year under my insurance and no other place will see me without an evaluation of their own. Would give zero stars if I could. Thanks for screwing what I'm sure is just another in a long line of customers. (After comment from owner): No surprise here, calling that number didn't accomplish anything but confirming this organization is con artists top to bottom.

Negative experience: This place seems like a good place but they will bill you when unexpected tell you your insurance provider didn’t cover for the previous work and charge you and leg and a arm. You have been warned stay away!!!!

Negative experience: When I went to the smile list after being told by my previous dentist they were booked for a month and a half and I’d have to wait to get my implant after I waited for the bone graph to heal 3 Plus months.. I decided to try the smiling, hoping they could do the implant because I waited over well, over three months months as I was told by my previous dentist to do . The wait time was up and I didn’t feel like waiting another month and a half so I tried to smilist When I went to the small list, they looked at my teeth and said we have a different plan for you. You need to get 2 additional implants in another location and begin the process over again. I told Dr. Katz why I was there which was because after waiting the a lot of time my current dentist was booked up for a month and a half, and I just was hoping he would complete, where my previous Dentist left off He said that’s not how he works. I asked if he can do Hybrid plan because I wanted my front tooth as soon as possible after waiting so long He said no, @Youhave to pick Lane “ so I picked my lane and I left. I felt like this was a money grab. It’s understandable that Dentists have different approaches, but this was so far in the opposite direction to get two additional Started where I already had work done almost to completion. It didn’t make sense. I wound up going to the Stonybrook school of Dentistry. I felt they did not have a dog in the race. They reviewed all my records and they too a slightly different plan. Although their plan was different from Dr. Katz’s and my previous dentist. I feel confident my decision to Not like the smallest do the work was a good decision Everybody Does things differently, and Dr. Katz was entitled to his opinion. I just didn’t feel confident in his opinion because he was Quite snarky so I went elsewhere Where I was much more comfortable and had complete confidence in the services performed

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chernoff and the team assisting her are excellent! They are friendly, informative, and create an environment that doesn’t make you hate going to the dentist. Not much more you could ask for!

Fantastic experience: I just went to the Smithtown office for the first time. Everybody there was very nice and very professional. Dr. Chernoff was the dentist. She did a great job and it was painless. Emily was her assistant and did a great job too. Amanda was the hygienist and did the best cleaning. Christine was the receptionist and was so friendly. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: 2 years ago my daughters teeth were a mess. She was so scared because she didn’t wanna grow up and have bad looking teeth. I immediately took her for a consultation to see Dr Feldman. He advised she get braces to fix her overbite. Today she got her braces off and she looks so amazingly beautiful!!!! Thank you so much to Gina who helped me get her appointed quickly. Thank you to Dr Feldman and his ortho girls for giving my daughter confidence and a beautiful smile!!!! I’m thankful and grateful for the entire team !!!

Fantastic experience: I was having a toothache, but didn’t know the exact tooth that was coming from and I went to see Dr. Jalin in Smithtown for the first time. He spent a tremendous amount of time testing each tooth in the area where I was hurting. He is the type of dentist that takes pride in his work and is very compassionate? It is hard to find a good dentist nowadays. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: The Smilest Office, Smithtown is awesome....from the moment you are greeted at the front desk to the treatment rooms, you know and feel you are in competent, compassionate care! Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I was having severe tooth pain for a few days. I was referred to an oral surgeon for a tooth extraction. I called late morning and was given a same day appointment. Dr. Pan met with me and we discussed options. He recommended extracting the tooth. I had a quick CT scan to make sure the roots weren't impeding my nasal cavity and we were good to go. It took less than a minute after the local kicked in to remove my tooth. It was quick and painless. I cannot be more grateful for the staff and Dr. Pan in the Smithtown office. Thank you all so much. I give you a 10 out of 10.

Fantastic experience: I had an implant done today. Dr Pan did an outstanding job! he explained everything and made me feel very confident that he had it all under control . Dr Pans assistant also as great and made me feel very comfortable.

Fantastic experience: 12/12/24 Went for a crown prep today. Everyone at the smilist worked hard to make me comfortable. My Dentist (Dr Arena)and his team were Professional, pleasant, thorough, patient and highly skilled. I highly recommend and I will return.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO THERE! Money hunger, they do procedures on patients and they dont tell me how much is it before doing it, just at the end when pts comes to the front desk, and then when you call to complain they dont want to give you the refund, they charge my fiance 600 when he was just going for a Maintenance visit, they decided to take xrays and to upgrade his "policy" without letting him know, and at the end when he comes to the front desk they tell him is 600 and they give him all the paperwork to sign when that is supposed to be done before they asked him if he was ok, I Speak with the "assistance office manager" very rude, then i speak withe manager she didnt want to speak with me because of "Hippa" and this is my fiances account but they didnt say anything about it when they received one of the payments with a card with my name on it! which that is a violation! i spoke with the manager she still doesnt want to give me the refund because he signed the paperwork yes he signed after the fact!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at The Smilist Smithtown. Dr Pan , surgeon, was professional, personable and did a great job. Having teeth pulled can be a stressful situation but Dr Pan made it matter of fact and before I knew it he was done! His assistant was wonderful as well they worked well together. Before leaving I spoke to Lori. Both she and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Thank you again Dr Pan!!

Fantastic experience: After my life long dentist retired, I recently became a patient of Dr Sishta A. I can tell you he’s a perfectionist and takes immense pride in his work. I highly recommend Dr Sishta and the entire staff at the Smilest in Smithtown. Fantastic experience: Every time I’ve been here I’ve had a pleasant experience, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ve seen Dr. Pan for Wisdom Teeth removal/Extractions and he is very good at what he does. Everything was very quick and painless. I couldn’t recommend him and the office enough!

Fantastic experience: I had to get a new crown on my Previous root canal. Dr. arena and Charlene were excellent! They let me know everything that was going to happen , step by step . It was definitely a better than expected experience. I would a hundred percent recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Aysha at the front desk who was not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, providing me with different plans and going over what would better fit my needs. Her professionalism made the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The office itself is clean, modern, and well-organized, which immediately put me at ease. I’ve had a fear of dentists since dealing with a few different ones over the last few years that were not the nicest or did the best work. The hygienist Terriann was thorough and gentle, making sure to explain each step. And Dr Arena was patient and extremely nice and reassuring. Overall, I highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I am always nervous going to the dentist. I was pleasantly surprised of how comforting everyone is. the receptionists and the hygienists as well as the doctors make every trip to the dentist an enjoyable experience

Negative experience: I have a mixed experience with this practice. I started coming here a few years ago, and initially, everything was great. However, in 2022, I needed a cavity filled, which unfortunately cracked the very next day. I then had to get an expensive emergency crown, but despite telling them multiple times during the procedure that it felt too large, they didn’t adjust it properly. My routine cleanings have generally been fine, but I recently encountered another issue. I was advised to get Invisalign to help with teeth and gum issues, as it would supposedly make cleaning easier. I was assured that my insurance would cover half of the cost under orthodontic benefits, separate from dental, so I’d still have coverage for regular dental care. After paying $3,200 for Invisalign, I was surprised to get a call about a $250 balance on my account for a cavity filling done right before the Invisalign treatment in February. It turned out the office had misinterpreted my insurance, not realizing that both orthodontic and dental benefits come from the same pool. This error left me with no remaining dental coverage for the year, despite my payments and planning. When I asked if they could resubmit the cavity claim for the following year—considering their mistake—they declined. This experience has left me feeling misled, as it seems their priority was selling the Invisalign without fully understanding my coverage, which is disappointing

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best dental practices I’ve been to. The front desk staff is incredibly professional, friendly, and polite, making every visit smooth and welcoming. The dental assistants are also fantastic. Dr. Jain has been wonderful—he’s not only skilled but also extremely patient, which has made a big difference for me. Overall, it’s always been a great experience at this office. My only issue is with my insurance, but that’s a separate story. -Constantine

Fantastic experience: My experience at the Smilist dental in smith town is always great, I had 3 extractions from this office. Dr. Pan is awesome, he has done all my extractions and they were very quick and painless. I recommend my family/friends to the smilist because they are the best at what they do.

Fantastic experience: Ingrid is the best hygienist I've ever met. Very thorough, knowledgeable and explains everything you want yo know. This is one of my reasons to travel 45 minutes each way just to see her!!!

Fantastic experience: I had an exceptional experience today with Dr. Jain. I have incredible fear of going to the dentist, and he and the team made me so comfortable and kept me relaxed the entire time. He even created my crown and installed it all in the same visit. I am very pleased with this office and patient care that I received.

Fantastic experience: Terry is the most wonderful dental hygienist . She gives such a fabulous cleaning and is so gentle throughout the process. For anyone suffering dental anxiety , she is the one you want to see.

Fantastic experience: Hygienist Amanda does an awesome job, is friendly and comforting! Definitely recommend her Dr. Arena has been my dentist for more than 21 years and there’s a reason for that! He really is the best at what he does. After always seeing a dentist throughout my life, I’ve had extractions, braces, crowns, and an implant. Dr. Arena is so gentle, explains everything he’s doing and always asks about my concerns. He really is the best.

Negative experience: Absolutely great people at the actual locations and phenomenal service at this location. But as soon as you need to communicate with the Great Neck location via telephone the service drops immensely. I’ve been having an issue with an outstanding balance and EVERY SINGLE TIME I reach out about it, I’m told that they are going to reach out to my insurance and Call me back. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CALLED BACK. Probably 5-6 times now someone over the phone consoles me and tells me it’s no problem and that we’ll call you back yet I’ve genuinely never ever received a call back from these people. Now my bill is going to collections because these people in the billing department cannot seem to learn how to simply FOLLOW UP with someone. I’m not asking for winning lotto numbers or my balance to be cleared! I just want clear communication about what the heck’s going on!!! I really hope the owner sees this review. I’m Not looking for retribution but they really really need to get a hold of that billing department and the atmosphere in there. Absolutely zero accountability. It’s Despicable. EDIT: THIS IS NOT ABOUT THIS LOCATION. THIS IS ABOUT THE GREAT NECK STAFF. The people at Smithtown are all angels and I wish I never had to change my insurance but things happen:(

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Dr. Pan at the Smilist in Smithtown. Went in to get my wisdom teeth removed and got both of the bottom ones done. He was helped by Leni and Louisa(who were also great!) during the procedure of getting my teeth taken out. All very professional and they were very reassuring during the procedure to let me know what was going on. They both made sure to advise me on the necessary steps during recovery and Dr. Pan even called me a few times after the surgery to check in on me! Great guy I’m definitely coming back to him when I get my top ones removed!

Fantastic experience: Just had my wisdom tooth removed by Dr.Pan and couldn’t ask for a better experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and I was thoroughly informed before, during, and after the procedure. His assistants were also awesome. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I loved the dentist Dr Arena was absolutely amazing. But when I scheduled the appointment I specifically ask was my insurance accepted and was it in network I was told yes. After the appointment I am now stuck with a $1300 plus bill and a sincere apology for their mistake because they are not in network so how is the apology supposed to help me with this bill? I just started working at this company and I can not afford this hefty bill and I was not expecting this bill and I do not think it is fair I have to pay it when I asked prior to my appointment about my insurance and was given the wrong answer so why do I have to pay for the consequences of that it’s really not fair and I really loved this place. Very unfortunate for me!

Fantastic experience: Two of my children had root canals …i had such a great experience with Dr. Jain And Dr. Arena.. Cannot say enough great things about Gina as well… she was such a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend. Thank you to everybody …
