Positive experience: Had to wait 30 minutes after my scheduled appt in the waiting room, so I subtracted a star. The dental hygienist was so friendly and gave helpful advice, and the dentist was efficient and asked if I had questions. Beautiful office, rooms, etc.

Fantastic experience: Had a cleaning today with Ms. V. She was awesome! Quick, efficient, friendly, no pain and my teeth feel great. Loved that, in reception, before I went in, they verified the services I was scheduled for and the expected out of pocket costs.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time in my life that I was looking forward to going to a dentist. Within seconds if being there I had the best conversation with the receptionist and shortly thereafter I was taken to the back where the tech explained everything to me and it was so cool to see the pictures come up on the big tv as she was taking picture of my mouth. After a short break, the hygienist came in and did some measurements and some more things. As she was doing it, she fully explained everything as she was doing it. She out me at ease letting me know that my gums, bone and teeth are in a better shape than I expected. Once Dr Valentine came in and gave me his professional advice I was taken back in surprise in a good way. That being said, and also thank God for favor and good insurance, I can finally have the care that I need within financial reason. I don't have to mortgage my house to care for my mouth. Once I was done, the checkout lady helped, and gave me my payment plan, super reasonable, and very thoughtful and DOABLE as payments goes. You see in the past, everyone I went to was quoting me $10k+, this go around, much better, simpler and hopefully by January/February I will have a brand new smile .

Fantastic experience: What a place!!! Not enough stars, everyone is so helpful, patient and compassionate. I am an in home caregiver for the elderly and discovered this place. As a caregiver, I ask a lot of questions, want many scenarios and am firmly assertive as I am doing my job and protecting those in my care. Lakewood is nothing but kind and helpful. This office is one of the most reasonably priced offices I have dealt with, I have seen clients pay a lot more for less and will be recommending this office to all. I do not remember everyone's name, however, Brittanie at check out was beyond kind as she explained (for the 3rd time, 2nd visit) what I need to do to prepare for the next step.

I came in for some fillings and a crown and I was taken care of in less then a hour with my filling appointment. A receptionist by the name of B. Taylor took her time and helped me look up payment plans to help with any financial issues I had.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Stephanie Marquez and Victoria, her dental hygienist, were very professional in manner during my scheduled procedure yesterday. As a hearing-impaired senior citizen, both of the them treated me with the upmost dignity and respect. Sensing my anxiety and nervousness, they explained each procedural step during my time in the chair with them. Afterwards, Dr. Marquez and Victoria patiently took the time to educate me about ways to improve my oral health. Dr. Marquez also clearly explained her recommended next steps for my future oral treatment options. From the time I checked in until I checked out, the welcoming and helpful staff made a big difference in my positive experience. Fantastic experience: First visit and last patient of the day... we all know on a friday thats risky...not here. Everyone was so nice and informative from the call to schedule to in person. I didn't expect the best news but was walked through every thing, a dental plan, financial assistance to cover it and felt very comfortable with our plan going forward. Even though this is going to be a process I feel like I will be well taken care of and ready to have my smile back to good.

Positive experience: Love the pleasant atmosphere. Makes for a calming experience. After all...who actually likes to go to the dentist!? My hygienist was friendly, thorough yet gentle. The dentist addressed all my concerns and shared thoughts on ways to alleviate them, with no need for treatment. The check out staff, even though professional did not have am explanation for my added charges. Was very happy to print for me to review. Flouride and Cancer screen not covered by my insurance. I was not made aware this was the case beforehand. All good. I figure I'll skip next time and chalk it up to an excellent check up.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough amazing things about Dr. Valiente! He has been taking care of my dental health for years. He is kind, patient, and provides exceptional patient care. He also puts my mind at ease during dental procedures because I am not the toughest . He always answers my (many)questions and is just the sweetest doctor you will ever meet. The front desk staff and hygienists are amazing as well. Ms. Vee was amazing as well!

Negative experience: Do not go here for any reason. They were recommended to me by a friend and now I’m spending thousands to fix their terrible work. I should have known how bad everything would be when I went in for a simple wisdom tooth extraction and they prescribed pain medication I explicitly stated I’m allergic to. I had a few cavities corrected by them. Under a year later, I find out that one of the fillings was not done correctly and the decay was not cleaned out so now I have to have a root canal, crown, and crown lengthening done. At least two other fillings were also done incorrectly and will need root canals. On top of that, they placed a crown on a tooth I broke as a child. Less than two years later and the crown just came right off while eating a quesadilla. Now I have to pay to get that re-cemented.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Valiente is really great and I liked everyone else I spoke to too. The location is great too inside and out, very clean and modern. Lots of kid-friendly stuff. However, wait times should really be improved. Apparently this is due to many people booking an appointment for one thing, but then coming in and actually wanting/needing a different, more time consuming thing. I don't care what the reason for the longer wait times is, let's try to fix it!

Fantastic experience: As a new patient, I am very impressed with this practice. I see Dr. Caruso in Lakewood. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and listens to you. Dr. Caruso's assistant, Misty, made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands. Dr. Caruso is very nice, professional, knowledgeable, and has great chair-side manner.

I'm a little scared of dentists and there are a few of us who are, but Dr. Valiente put me at ease, took his time administering the shots (only felt an ant bite), and took no time pulling my tooth. If you need dental work, please don't wait any longer, give them a call and make your appointment.

Negative experience: I had my wisdom teeth taken out in October of 2024. I discussed my TMJ with Dr. Marquez - which is important because I was not notified that post-op my jaw may lock up, I was unable to speak without pain for a month - and was in talks about the wisdom teeth which were causing me trouble - this was during my appointment on either Oct 14th or 17th. I wasn't warned that I may, not expecting a guarantee on this, have perforations due to my wisdom teeth being close to/inside of my sinus cavities - this should have been clearly stated as a precaution and I was left uninformed of this. My extractions took place on Oct 26th. Within 2 days, Oct 28th, I was in immense pain and returned to their office begging for relief, which is when Dr. Marquez informed me that they were aware that I might have perforations post-op and that they had failed to prescribe an antibiotic despite the oral surgeons instruction to do so - I had developed an infection (further noted below), had a fever of 104°, and missed work due to this negligence. This infection worsened, with discussion of switching to augmentin/Amoxiclav with Dr. Valiente on Nov 9th, which they turned around and prescribed more amoxicillin - this appointment was also when I was informed that they knew I had developed an infection and that I was not swallowing mucus, it was PUS. I ended up going to the ER feeling whole body fatigue, with an infection that was not improving, on Nov 12th - the ERs first thought was that I had sepsis (please look up sepsis if you do not know what it is off-hand). The ER advised to start taking augmentin, and when I notified the office of this, they agreed and understood that I would be taking augmentin moving forward. I continued seeing Dr. Chen, the oral surgeon, for post-op check ups until he believed that the perforations were healing well and that the risk of infection was low. Despite all of this, and adamantly stating that I would not be moving forward with their office for any additional procedures, I still receive calls that ask me to schedule my next appointment, stating that I still had planned work that had not been scheduled. Today, I received one of these calls from a private number - they had intentionally tried to avoid me recognizing the number so I would answer. I have now blocked the office number. I also had to fight with them about the financing that I did through Cherry. They finally issued the funds back to Cherry in the amount of no less than $1,400 for work that was not going to be done - as I had communicated my fear and unease with their office due to the failures in communication, negligently leaving me uninformed of the risks/possibilities post-op, no less than 5 times via text, over the phone, and finally in-person where I got visual confirmation that they were not going to retain this money. When requesting this being returned to the financing company over the phone and via text, I was told I would be contacted by the office manager every time - I never received a single call as they did not want to return the money (greed). I was not going to post a review, as I genuinely enjoyed their office and the staff was kind, but these shadow calls after telling them at least 10 times over the course of 3 months that I would not be pursuing the remainder of my work with them is feeling more like harassment. I am, on an open platform, asking that your office RESPECT MY WISHES to NEVER return to this office, and STOP CALLING. I will leave this off with a thank you to Dr. Chen for working to rebuild my trust and hearing me out about my concerns. He handled everything perfectly and I believe he is an exceptional asset to this office - he's the only one that, in my personal opinion, truly knew how to communicate and tried to make things right. Edit: The response to my review is very telling that it was not read. I will NOT be contacting this office again - you've been paid for services provided, and I will not begin the process of repeating myself again. Do not contact me, I will not contact you, you have been paid. Done.

Fantastic experience: The customer service was fantastic. When I was having trouble with my insurance they let me reschedule without a cancelation fee and were super accommodating. They are my dentist of choice.

Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying I WAS terrified of the dentist. It started with a tooth needing to be pulled. Which they had helped me with my anxiety with medicine to make me comfortable. Then I came back for a deep cleaning with Raphael. Which I did with no meds. He had me comfortable from beginning to end. They are here to help to get to your best smile! Thank you! They also offer a lot of different payment arrangements. No excuses! Go to the dentist here!
